  1. Exist situations that the people can not stay in silence about. Is important the protest and the support.

  2. Got my notice on both Facebook and NotMyTribe. Going to be there with bells on, loud and proud.

  3. Oh, ok. I mistook the time of the first comment for the time of the rally.

I was thinking that was a little off-timing because 8:45 would be almost 3 hours after the last bus. My Bad. Anyway…

But man, the bastordians who run this city are Greedy, Corrupt and Stupid.

Stupid because with a working Transit system they could draw that much-coveted business to town, like the vacuum where HP used to be. They moved to a different shipping hub, and partly because of the Public Transportation mess.
More Big Business money and more Big Business Lawyers would mean more to steal and more to get in Bribes. Since they’re going to take the bribes anyway might as well support something that will benefit the People as a side-trip.

Every now and then I’ll tune in to Right Wing Hate Speech Radio, and there’ll be caller after caller bitching and whining about traffic, and they’re calling on their cell phones, while driving, and one person in a car made for 8. Gee, you’d think that a few more of them might just figure out the Math Logistics there. When I’m riding my bike, and hear the same thing in stereo effect, some jackass driver screaming at me for being in his personal road while he’s on the cell phone, and hearing it coming from somebody else’s radio.. Doesn’t happen EVERY time but when it does, my amazement factor increases.

Means he’s on the horn with Gunny Bob or some other dipstick bitchin’ and Snivelin’ about traffic, and blaming it on one bicycle instead of the other 50 large Oversized Under-Passengered Vehicles on the road with him.

Buses could resolve that. If you’re going to be in a vehicle that uses as much gas as a bus anyway… With a bus fare you get to share most of that gas money amongst 20 or 30 other people.

With the S.U.K. you have to pay all of it yourself. Minus what you take off of your Taxes because, hey, every CPA and Real Estate investor actually NEEDS a Humvee in order to conduct business.

  4. Don’t forget the $260M “road to nowhere” expansion that’s between two bus stops.
That sure would buy a lot of fuel and maintenance for the Bus System. Where’s Sarah Palin when we need somebody to “just say no”?

Although she DID wait until her Bridge To Nowhere was cancelled by those Liberal (Republican controlled House and Senate at the time) big-spenders in Washing Tundy Sea before “just saying no”.
Makes for some quick propaganda though.
Maybe if Mayor Lyin’ Hell would take a quick propaganda lesson and every now and then cut something that actually NEEDS to be cut, maybe, just perhaps, not everybody would hate him as bad as we do.

  5. Hey Jonah,
What should have been cut instead of Public Transportation, Street Lights, and trashcans removed from parks was local taxpayer dollars being given to the U.S. Olympic Training Center.

Steve Blackmum who is the C.E.O. of the U.S. Olympic training center should pay every cent of the money he stole from the citizens of Colorado Springs back so that we can have Evening and weekend public transportation back, as well as the street lights, and put the trashcans back in the city parks

  6. Scott Blackmum C.E.O. of the U.S. Olympic Training center should be forced to pay back the 43 million dollars that the city gave him for that new building in Downtown Colorado Springs as well as the 1.6 milion tax dollars per year. That money could have kept Evening and weekend public transportation as well as kept street lights on and kept trashcans in city parks
