Guantanamo highlights the colossal collapse of legality in US legal system
(Judge) Leon declared… “Simply stated, faithfully serving in an al-Qaeda-affiliated fighting unit that is directly supporting the Taliban by helping prepare the meals of its entire fighting force is more than sufficient to meet this Court’s definition of ’support.’” He added, “After all, as Napoleon was fond of pointing out, ‘An army marches on its stomach.”

The Dead Sea

The dead zones in our oceans are in danger of being turned into just The Dead Sea. Scientists say Acid oceans ‘need urgent action’ Why is it that in America we always have a war on this, and a war on that, but never do we have a war to save the planet from utter and total destruction?

Secret Israeli database shows large scale Jewish theft of Palestinian land

Zionism is racism, and Zionism is theft of land and property based on racism. The Zionist ‘Jewish State’ continues to thieve off other peoples’ lands and properties and Haaretz.com has just published material showing how the Israeli government in its own documents was hiding the extent of the theft for Jews of Arab properties from the general world public. See Secret Israeli database reveals full extent of illegal settlement

Catholic Church ‘imprudence’
Holocaust- denying bishop expresses regret and sends letter to Vatican saying his remarks were ‘imprudent’ There is only one thing to do with these imprudent Catholics and that is to take them out! After all, Iran’s Ahmadinejad does not head up a religion that helped kill 6,000,000 Jews and countless others that were not Jewish in their concentration camps. But the Pope does! Many of the WW2 fascists were Catholics and the Catholic Church supported the Fascist Movement of that time, including the current Pope. They did it once and they certainly might do it again!

Barack in Iraq- freezes US inside Iraq
The big news about the new Democratic Party Administration is the obvious one. Barack Obama is not pulling the US government out of Iraq. He is stalling us there and is committed to doing that as long as the US government can get away with it, which might be quite a while? If the US were to pull out anytime soon, the simple reality is that the puppet government left behind would have its remaining days quite numbered.

A little break for the AIPAC ChickenHawks Flooding the Site..
Something more the War-mongering Freaks can bitch whine and snivel about, Welcome back, David Haddad errr “Mary”
So, since unabashed ChickenHawks like Glenn Beck like to “donate” Tax Deductible stuff like free airtime on their “news” shows, and the USO is begging for money for the families of the troops…
How, then, can the Recruiters claim in other (taxpayer funded) advertisements that the Military is a Good Career?
A few background items, if you will.

NO TO NATO Protest 2009
A No to NATO Protest 2009 is being organized in Strasbourg, France, but where is the US Antiwar Movement? A similar protest against NATO should and could be built on the same date in Washington DC at the Pentagon, so why does the American Antiwar Community always give NATO a free ride?

Misery, poverty, unemployment are growing, and global capitalism is largely to blame

“Misery, poverty, unemployment are growing, and global capitalism is largely to blame,” Chavez said in a convention center before 10,000 of the estimated 100,000 people gathered at the World Social Forum held in Belem, Brazil. Earlier in the day, advocates for landless Brazilians gathered in a sweltering gymnasium and roared in approval as Ecuadorean President Rafael Correa belted out the Cuban classic “Comandante Che Guevara.” South American leaders came together at the anti-Davos forum with Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez, Bolivia’s Evo Morales and Paraguay’s Fernando Lugo joining Brazil’s President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva on stage at the very large gathering of those opposed to the ravages of international capitalism in South America and elsewhere.

French again put Americans to shame
Contrast the French to Americans once again, as they respond to their country’s elite government delivered handouts in a way today unimaginable in pacified Obama nation USA. Huge crowds join French strikes Meanwhile, in America, crowds actually turn out to cheer as Obama hands out bales of paper dollars to the rich corporate world. They’re in trouble, you see?

Fell not one more forest tree!

OLD GROWTH FORESTS. Sure we need lumber but we now need forests yet more. Two hundred years of industrial exploitation of the planet and now most of the forests are gone, and what remains are scraggly, sickly remnants that are not supportive of any remaining natural wildlife. Still, the slaughterhouse ‘forestry’ approach continues to bulldoze them down. The goal?

Veggie Love
“Veggie Love” Banned Super Bowl Ad …Do vegetarians have better sex as PETA alleges, or in fact do beer guzzling Super Bowl fans have it more and better? Carrots versus Beer? Which is it? And youtube and the National Football League both want to know if you are mature enough to deal with this issue?

The Democrat Party’s magic math
US House passes economic package without a single Republican vote reads the Headline. The Republicans also have their own magic math ‘economic recovery’ giveaway for the super rich, but they are smart enough not to be caught together with the Democrats ‘winning’ now, but later to be caught by the public holding the burglary bag of new national debt created! They can say they ‘opposed’ The Grand Give Away, and they will have, too, since they were not in charge of doing it their way.

Costa Rica a prototypical Western Democracy
PUERTO JIMINEZ, CR- Touring Costa Rica has been interesting. Considering the turmoil of Central America, it may be a shining example of a functional Capitalist Democracy. It´s got a healthy middle class and a relatively contented populace. Can it offer a lesson to its strife torn neighbors? Sure. Get rid of the Indios.

Obama in Afghanistan- $40,000 for the lost lives of 15 people?
‘U.S. commanders on Tuesday traveled to a poor Afghan village and distributed $40,000 to relatives of 15 people killed in a U.S. raid, including a known militant commander. The Americans also apologized for any civilians killed in the operation.’ See the Associate Press report US pays $40,000 after 15 Afghans die in raid for their entire report on the ‘collateral damage’.

Barack Obama appears to pull US back from using threats of war with Iran
“I have Muslim members of my family.
I have lived in Muslim countries… the largest one, Indonesia. And so what I want to communicate is the fact that, in all my travels throughout the Muslim world, what I’ve come to understand is that regardless of your faith – and America is a country of Muslims, Jews, Christians, non-believers – regardless of your faith, people all have certain common hopes and common dreams.”Obama reaches out to Iran with message to Muslims

Cutbacks hit Colo. Springs as corporate special interest pigs run the trough
I went down to the City Council meeting today to speak out against all their coming proposed property tax increases, service cutbacks, and increases in utility bills and was met by the corporate interests pigs at the trough. I’m talking about the City Council members themselves. Actually the pigs at the trough in Colorado Springs run the trough… and mainly for themselves. For others they want to cutback everything but they hide that agenda in every way they can. Who runs the Colorado Springs City Council? Why is there no appealing to their possible good judgement?

US media campaign to help Pentagon defend its use of torture on POWs
There is a growing effort to defend the use of torture on POWs by the US military, and it centers around the Pentagon’s and the corporate media’s effort to convince the American people that some Guantanamo inmates have become terrorists post discharge. These POWs were discharged because they were found to be innocent of ‘terrorism’, but now the Pentagon and US media want to paint a picture of US military incompetence, all to bolster a campaign to defend those that tortured these POWs when they were at the US run torture concentration camp called Guantanamo (Gitmo).

Billy Ayers and the weathergirl
It may have suited the corporate media to paint 60s radical Bill Ayers as an aging, bespectacled hippie, but in his day, student movement leader turned anti-imperialist bomber Billy Ayers had the magnetism of James Dean. And the street cred of John Dillinger.

Apartheid Israel must be abolished
After what Israel has done to the Palestinians for the last 60 years, they have every right to want the destruction of Israel. And so should everyone else. Didn’t the world learn anything from the rise of Nazi Germany?
