How far will they go?
I was on the bus more than a year ago, and somebody who listens to DumFox Noose for all his opinions… (a handy replacement brain for people too lazy to THINK) and mentioned what was then an OUTRAGE! segment, about some Non-Vet allegedly forcing his way into Honor Guards for K.I.A. soldiers by pretending to be a retired officer.
Honor Guard and Color Guard are set teams, it’s their JOB… and they work as a team, nobody is going to get on the Honor Guard who doesn’t have signed orders from the Brigade commander and recommended to that job by senior members of the team. But Bill O’Reily and Sean Hannity said it was so, thus, in this fellow’s simple mind, it was Gospel.

WalMart cashing in on the Christmas on War campaign…
“Operation Home Front” what a blasphemous farce. Promote the war that tears families apart (and literally tears apart the family members in the Victim Countries… like the kids who get torn apart by bombs)
Happy Birthday to the Prince of Peace.

NOW Republicans are raising the flag
on the Health Care bill won’t cover everybody who needs it. What Lying Pricks. They have NEVER been in favor of allowing those of us who are too poor to buy into the American Dream to even have the basics of life. NOT ONCE. Newt Gingrich who goes beyond Two-faced in his hypocritic grovelling to the Money Masters, has been saying that Seniors on fixed incomes and Medicare might suffer, … Spent his entire Political Career opposing any raise in their Income or their Medicare benefits. Worshipped at the Feet of Ronald(6) Wilson(6) Reagan(6) who declared Medicare to be “the end of Liberty in America”.
Now Gingrich and the R’s who have consistently denied Health Care to the poor are trying to put on the mantle of actually giving Three Quarters Of A Dead Rats Ass about the poor.

Happy birthday to the Prince of Pe… ummm… you know the rest
The T.V. is loaded every commercial break with a “Support the Troops” marketing campaign, this time using the offensive Massive Selling Through Guilt-trip that is the modern “Christmas”. Soldiers waving to their families, Santa bringing a soldier home to his children for Christmas, yeah…
And ALWAYS, without fail, the Drum-beats of War, a War deliberately started and managed to benefit the same Corporate BiggPiggs who market the birth of an Anti-Capitalist Middle Eastern religious leader, who would be languishing in Guantanamo or BaghramAFB dungeons if He preached the same message in the Modern Middle East…. Or Colorado Springs…
Always being sure to promote the LIE that the soldiers are “fighting for Freedom”, “Freedom isn’t Free” “Serving our Reich” whatever…

Avatar: novel push for noble savage
I’d like to contrast the high-profile critical receptions being given two Hollywood films about darker-skinned-ness. Precious is about an African-American girl so dark she absorbs the light, without being about race at all. The movie tells a story of poverty, incest and the cycle of abuse, while tipping the scales with gratuitous stereotypes of Hottentot welfare mamas attendant their usual good-for-trouble black males. Vilifying the subjects it pretends to rescue, Precious has the blessing of the media, a shameless Oprah included. James Cameron’s Avatar on the other hand, opened to depth-charges of faint praise calculated to dim the buzz, perhaps because it packs the most subversive black-is-beautiful message since Muhammad Ali.

Col. Robert Howard
Being eulogized on the news, most highly decorated soldier in modern times, retired in 2006 after 50 years in… Newscaster says “leaves behind a grateful nation”.
Grateful for WHAT? That he participated in spreading our Nation into an Imperial State, forcing Our Benevolence down the throats of peoples around the world? Fought for the Freedom of Corporate Thugs like Monsanto to poison his fellow soldiers, pay less than a penny on the dollar of their truly obscene profits and their lawyers walked out of court laughing about it?

Israel reveals Gaza is Palestine Gulag
In so many words. Israel is negotiating for the release of POW Gilad Shalit. Of the 1,000 Palestinian POWs to be exchanged, Israel is demanding that 100 or so be denied return to the West Bank, and instead be exiled or remanded to the Gaza Strip.

Who is that on the back of the poor?
Here’s a Christmas gift for your favorite First Worlder. Let them affix their mug behind the face of “Justitia,” the Western Goddess of Justice, carried by the laboring poor as she seeks to right inequity without relinquishing her station of privilege. Who is the bloated First World hypocrite — but you! This statue by Danish artist Jen Galschiot is also known as Survival of the Fattest. Global elitists can celebrate their face on this 8-inch cardboard cutout as it depicts their naked supremacy.
For COP15, Galschiot installed this life-sized statue in the water next to Hans Christian Anderson’s Little Mermaid. Climate talk delegates who ventured to see Copenhagen harbor’s famous tourist attraction saw a grotesque figure straddling her carrier, whose head struggled to stay above the water.
Picture frames are popular Christmas gifts for those of us who lack nothing, except more frames to decorate pictures of ourselves and our stuff. How’s this for framing an emergent identity?

Dennis Kucinich to lead Independents

Strike three. Obama’s out. Stop war? Nope. Address climate change? Sorry no. Reform health care? In the insurer’s interest only. I’m hearing Obama’s failure to deliver real health care being blamed on Americans themselves, for not building a movement to support it. WTF. In fact Dems are being asked to root for Obama’s duplicitous health care legislation, or hinder the change-meister’s momentum. Momentum for what? Not one issue remains for which Democrats can claim to deliver America from the GOP. Isn’t it time to uproot all incumbents and side with the majority of voters? Teabaggers can have their Palin, the Dems can sink their last hope in Obama, Americans need to claim the largest constituency of recent past elections, the independents.

Talk about your basic entitlement mentality
So this guy writes a letter to the Independent, identifies himself as a Former Soldier, successful businessman and bitches and complains that he tried to hire some college students to do “construction work” at his home, and they weren’t flocking to his (really really NOT) very generous offer of $20 an hour with no guarantees of a safe working environment, and instead what seems like a very shaky workplace, since he’s hiring people to do construction who have no experience at construction. Says that since they’re getting public assistance in the form of student loans or grants they somehow owe it to him to work for him whenever he demands. And says it makes him feel like Glenn Beck.

so-called “Conservatives” Murdering their Own Kids.
Coal miners in West Virginia wanting to fire on their fellow Americans, egged on by the Anti-American Cast and Crew of Fox News. Real Proud, they are. Yep, they’re going to murder their own Kids for the sake of the lousy pay the Anti-American coal corporations are meting out to them. They’ll kill their kids with the Poison the Mountaintop Removal mining operations are going to dump in the water They, and Their Kids, drink. Also the water being drank by people downstream from them, all the poison victims will be Americans, and the most harshly affected will be the CHILDREN….
but they Simply Don’t Give A Shit about anybody’s kids. Not even their own. What a bunch of shameless cowards.
The Most Shameless of them being: Ms. Cordelia Ruth Tucker. She’s willing to sacrifice not only her OWN children to the Corporate gods who own her and her family, but Ours as well.

Sarah and Historic Accuracy
Not THAT Sarah, Princess Sarah Ferguson-Windsor. Promoting a Romantic Movie about the Great-great great grandmother of her daughter. Victoria Hanover-Windsor.
She said she was involved and concerned to maintain Historic Accuracy in the film SAY WHAT? A Demented Dynasty of Hereditary Dictators, whose very continued existence hangs on people believing their historic distortions, being concerned about Historical Details? SINCE WHEN?
They have to convince their subjects that every Mass Murder committed by both themselves and their truly depraved ancestors is justified by them being Ordained By God Himself to rule not only England but the entire world.

Glenn Beck says climate repair is “unsustainable”
He doesn’t have the courage to say to somebody from East Africa to that persons face that he’s glad the person is dying of famine, disease and if the person is working at all, it’s at slave labor for a Corporation where the persons labor is putting money in the pockets of… Glenn Beck. He’s willing to “sacrifice” that persons LIFE, freedom, labor, everything about the person, and the persons CHILDREN and grandchildren after them, he sees Exactly No Problem With That because… it’s not happening to Glenn Beck.
Substitute Sarah Palin, John McCain, the Bushes, Any God-Damned One of the Tea Party Cowards who are going to be down at Acacia Park with their signs of OUTRAGE! that there are OTHER PEOPLE who exist in their universe. People who live in slavery and DIE in slavery to support Their Fat Overprivileged Collective Ass.

Banker whining about paying tax on taxpayer subsidized bonus
John Varley of Barclay’s Bank, London. Let us all take a moment to shed a tear for somebody whose business was given massive taxpayer money, and, as a reward for his successful Reverse Socialism Corporate Welfare money raising scam, is being paid Even More taxpayer money. Sob sob. Okay, moment’s up. It’s pretty standard (Standard Oil?) for people who got their money directly from Government Subsidies, like those in the Oil, Mining, Timber, Shipping, Railroad, So-Called “Defense” and automotive Industries, none of which would exist without massive government funding, to piss and moan that having to pay TAX on the money they got free of any other charge from the Other Taxpayers is somehow Tyranny.
Who do these freaks think they are, Imperial Demigods to whom us Mere Mortals must pay Tribute, and undying love and loyalty?

Space time capsule December 21, 1968
What does it mean that the stars we see in the sky represent light coming at us from millions of years before? The images we have of Earth, of ourselves from space, reflect a distant past too actually. Although we’re accustomed now to visualizing our planet from above, as a quilt of satellite photos wrapped around a globe, viewable from any distance on Google Earth, the actual vision they mimic is a single thoroughly ubiquitous NASA photo called “The Blue Marble.”

NOW the Iraqi Puppet Lapdogs scream “Sovereignty”
Not about Exxon-Mobil sending in the U.S. Army to “liberate” the Oil Fields, or the Corporate Masters then extorting them for 25% of the Gross Production (not Net, Gross…) of the Oil Fields… No Squeaky voiced demands of their Pentagon and Halliburton and Blackwater Masters taking their Entire Forkin’ Country and killing at one estimate more than a Million of their fellow Iraqis…
No Screams of wounded national pride when the Turkish government bombed living Hell, WITH USAF APPROVAL AND HELP, Out of the Kurdish third of their country, no, that’s not what has the Puppet Dictatorship upset. No sir. ONE oil well taken over by armed intruders “from Iran”. Given the recent 7 years of Iraqi History, how the Hell are we supposed to just believe what the Lying Ass Pentagon Dictatorship says about it? What if those Mystery Invaders are actually U.S. Marines or U.S. Mercenaries disguised as Iranians?

A bird in the hand is worth health care and a climate consensus in the bush
Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good. It’s better than nothing. We’re getting it from all direction now, from Copenhagen to the health care bill. The message is delivered by experienced elder statesmen whose benevolence we do not question because they are retired and have no horse in the race -yet they have access to the halls of power where real stakeholders are denied? Silver hair and silver tongues pitch: “Those who say a bad deal is better than no deal are dead wrong.” You’re kidding me Grandpa.
