Denver Daze
Occupy Colorado Springs is and has been a relatively staid affair. Our biggest marches have drawn maybe 200 participants, and the street corner has been generally host to small crowds and mostly friendly or indifferent passers by. Visits from police have been just that–visits, rather than assaults, even when the HOTT Team came to arrest me early in the morning on 18 October, and the intrepid Camping Jack on two more recent occasions. We had to take steps to force them to make my arrest. Many of the core participants at Acacia Park have never been involved in any sort of political processes at all, let alone public protestations. So when several of our number traveled to Denver last Saturday to join a boisterous crowd of around 3,000 souls emotions were high, mixed, and complex.

DPD violence against Occupy Denver on Oct 29, filmed at gunpoint, shows first raid was deliberate provocation
OCCUPIED DENVER- Patrick shot this video in the thick of the action of October 29, which covers the initial arrests at Civic Center Park. It unmasks first DPD raid as a deliberate provocation, sent aimlessly into thick of crowd to make arbitrary arrests. Footage begins from early moments of protesters asking police not to bring weapons into peaceful assembly, without success.

Dear Capitalism, it’s not you, it’s us. Just kidding, it’s you.
OCCUPYTOGETHER- I’ve seen some wonderful signs at recent occupation actions. LOST MY JOB, FOUND AN OCCUPATION, and then there was SEPARATION OF CORPORATION AND STATE. I really love the Dada slogans which paradoxically are best appreciated in their out-of-context context. Example. GOVERNMENT BEER.

Is Occupy movement about issues, not tents? Denver learns, it’s ABOUT TENTS

DENVER- Hundreds of police in riot gear were deployed against the Occupy campers today. Not for the peaceful march, nor the slogans they voiced, nor even activist demands to climb the capitol steps. No, the hundreds arrived with gas masks, and new batons literally out of the box, to roust a dozen protest tents adorned with Occupy Wall Street slogans. To the peaceful assembly, the sudden arms buildup could have been none other than a show of force.

Almost forgot to title this one about a Traitor Iraqi “hero” in Colorado Springs
It’s illegal for SOME Private Citizens to keep people in torture dungeons, but not for Halliburton, Exxon-Mobil, Blackwater etc on whose behalf a young Iraqi TRAITOR turned in his own family several years ago to the American Puppet Regime. Now the little puke is 19 and is still being hailed as a hero by the Colorado Springs War-Pig Establishment such as KOAA New 5 and the Gazette.
And how is the American War Regime different from Saddam Hussein? For one thing, they actually HAVE weapons of mass destruction, more of all three major classes, Biological, Chemical and Nuclear, than all the rest of the world combined. So when PIGS like the recent attackers in Oakland and Atlanta go off on “their own citizens” as though we were THEIR “own” property, right? beating down, using toxic gas, plastic bullets that break bones, the coward torture freaks are actually Protected by the U.S. Government. Like the Army, CIA, Blackwater, other publicly funded Private Torture Services, they get paid to get their little sexual giggles from torturing people. Like the father of the Scum Coward Little Bitch Traitor. I wonder if the Military Police who sponsor him show him pictures of them torturing his father before they do their circle jerk?

First they ignore you then they laugh at you, Oakland’s got no further than that.
The brutality of the Oakland Police against #OccupyOakland and Iraq vet Scott Olsen is prompting many to measure their eminent victory with ol’ Gandhi’s hopeful adage: “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.” Apparently we’ve reached the fight stage. Yeah no. Sorry folks but teargas and nonlethal measures while dressed in riot gear is still the LAUGH AT YOU stage. You’ll recognize FIGHTING. It’s what America does to everywhere.

Occupy Colo. Springs suffers SECOND ARREST for camping outside permit

COLORADO SPRINGS- Tonight’s 11 O’clock arrest in Acacia Park was the second for #OCCUPYCS. As contentious GAs can attest, the self-delegated city-liaison executive-members are fighting a losing battle with a dissenting membership determined to grow the OWS protest by stressing inclusion and enlarging the encampment to beyond the city-permitted canopies.

Interlude 2
Off to Acacia Park for the night, then Denver in the morning. Occupy! is fully international. We’ll need to come to terms with that in our own countries, cities, minds, and act accordingly, cooperatively, if we are to truly build a thing of beauty without a ridiculous cataclysm. Continue to embrace Humanity in everyone! Cops and soldiers, bankers and beggars–all of us are just working the Gameboard as seems best to us at the time. Pull back. Breathe. Shine the Light! The Game’s over. Learn to Dance!

Colonel Gaddafi meets his killer-to-be. Would you have shaken that hand? I’m talking about Obama’s.

Can you match this for a haunting image? There’s Colonel Gaddafi and President Obama, two years ago. I suppose the Tea Party would pretend they were pals. Why wouldn’t they be, both are misunderstood weirdos, both were espoused rescuers of their respective peoples. Where similarities end, the rivalry is epic. One the protector of Africa and the unaligned world, the other its despoiler. One perhaps rendered timid with age, bombed into submission, his own daughter killed by an extrajudicial US assassination attempt, the other his future killer. I look at this image and reflect on the author of the Little Green Book, ideology for the Libyan renaissance, whose recent pitiless murder was videotaped and televised from all angles. Others might look more soberly at President Barack Obama, skilled comfort giver, who we’ve come to see shows no reticence for killing thousands sight unseen, but here he’s looking his mark straight in the face. What’s Obama saying with that handshake? I’m not sure Obama’s eye contact is going to have the effect it used to.

No, Charlie ain’t getting paroled. Sheeeeesh.
So I saw this headline on The Globe, a fine newspaper with more journalistic standards than the C.S. Gazette but that doesn’t say much. We’re expected to get our knickers in a knot because, just like every third year for a while now, Charles Manson is going to have a parole hearing. So is Mark David Chapman, the man who shot John Lennon AND … John Hinckley Jr. lone wolf gunman with ties to the Bush family.
Hinckley, almost 31 years ago, was found not guilty by reason of insanity for four counts of Aggravated Assault. Didn’t kill anybody. So he’s in a Psychiatric Prison with no set release date ever. No sentence, they can keep him until his rotting corpse falls apart as far as the courts are concerned. Chapman and Manson ain’t getting out either.
Having a parole hearing doesn’t mean you get parole, it’s just a formality in many many cases. But makes for some spectacular fear-mongering, don’t it? Manson was scheduled for a hearing at the time Geraldo Rivera aka Horrendo Revolver (from Cheech & Chong “Wedding Album” song “Black Lassie”) interviewed him.

Last night Occupy Denver sheltered in igloo until DPD igloo-countermeasure

OCCUPIED DENVER- Forbidden from erecting tents in Lincoln Park, despite cold and snow, intrepid OWS protesters took their lemons, made lemonade, and surprised authorities with a PROTEST IGLOO. So DPD drove a bulldozer over it.

The Stark truth about race in Texas.
Of course, now the Land Commissioner is putting through using his State Agency an official OK for issuing license plates with the confederate Hate Flag for a group called Sons Of Confederate Veterans. A group for which I qualify but I would never darken their doorway because I believ Know For A FACT that they’re celebrating a four-year long continuous 9/11 Terror Attack against Americans, for the purpose of the “states right” to use state funds and state police and state militia to enforce the perpetual denial of every human right to Americans based on the color of their skin. They’re a front group for the Klan in other words.
But that’s not the whole story nor where I got the title for this post.
I had a neighbor in Polytechnic Heights, a neighborhood in Ft Worth. Her name was Mrs Stark. Age 98. One early morning, I wasn’t there, I was in Oklahoma at Job Corps learning to cook…. she was struck by the Poly Rapist. Who was actually more than one person. Struck repeatedly with a hammer then raped, then laft to die. For all that, she lived another week or so in intensive care. The attackers were a youth gang. Teenagers. And black. But that isn’t really relevant, they didn’t rape little old ladies because they were white or the attackers black, it wasn’t revenge for slavery or anything like that. They were just cowards, out for the cheapest thrill available. Which during that long hot summer was rape and murder. It wasn’t racially based, it was based on them finding the easiest victims, the ones most helpless. God help the stupid bastard who tries to tell me that White Americans never attacked or don’t still attack the most helpless victims, they’re not off the hook.
This was the late 70s, legalized segregation wasn’t a very distant memory. There was a very half-hearted offer from the Klan to patrol the streets. Yeah right. They were fishing for a way to look like martyrs, prevented from Nobly Protecting The Elderly by Liberals. While the Stark truth was that they wouldn’t have been able to do it. They, too, prefer their victims to be as helpless as possible. They were going to try to play it up as a Black vs White conflict.

Let them eat poo, or– A Tail of Too Shitty
So they had on the Today Show as we were ducking out the door, a talk-panel of three, a black woman, a white man and a white woman and their commentary was about “waste of money” (but I’m not sure they got their own pun) in a Virginia case enforcing the pooper-scooper law. Black lady said “No wonder the deficit is so high, we spend money doing this” … “This” meaning they took pictures of the doggy doo and even went so far as to (gasp!) collect samples. You know, EVIDENCE instead of some prosecutor simply saying “well, we know (s)he did it” White boy in the middle agrees. White lady at the other end says “come on, it’s only poop, nothing wrong with poop.” and Dumbass White Boy in the middle agrees, Then she rolls her eyes and says “Really, who goes behind a four legged animal and picks up its poo? Why would anybody do that?”
Good question, and fortunately, I have a good answer. First people who clean up after their pets are probably the same ones who change their kids’ diapers at least once a week. People who take care of their families and animals.
Who DOESN’T pick up the pet poo? Trash. You can tell when you’re walking past their general area which ones they are just from the stench. And that’s the ones who don’t clean it out of their yard. People who let their dogs use other peoples’ yards or sidewalks and don’t clean it up are Trash with a social disorder. Even leaving it in Your Own Yard doesn’t exactly Leave It In Your Own Yard. Because of Mr Rain and Mr Snow making water come from Mr Sky and washing Mr Poo into OUR DAMNED WATER SUPPLY. Then WE get to pay a lot of OUR money filtering out the bacteria from that poo. And that would be, everybody who pays a Utility Bill and THAT would be, simply everybody.

Occupying an empty house
My friend Maureen gets frustrated with me because i keep slinging all this outlandish stuff at her, and as one might expect, she has a hard time getting it sometimes, and an even harder time imagining that any of it might be true or practical. I keep telling her that money is over, she keeps telling me that people use money for good things. I start hanging around Occupy Wall St. and its attendant movement and she feels alienated because she lives largely from Stock Exchange investments. Maureen is not the only one with this issue; a man appeared at our GA in CSpgs last week deeply troubled by the fact that we “haters” were trying to force his grandma to eat cat food because as he noted, “Wall Street”, that is, the package of various stock offerings available there, is owned diffusely by grandmas and retirees, penny-pinchers and wheeler-dealers all over the world. My friend and this guy are both put off by the extremely jarring nature of the realizations at hand that have precipitated huge crowds of traffic-clotting protesters into the streets. (Actually that stranger stayed for the GA and came around, while Maureen has an injury preventing her attendance, so this is kinda for her, as well as everyone else).

Police attack Occupy Oakland and Occupy Atlanta
Not so good news from Atlanta and Oakland where popo busted up the occupation with tear gas and swinging clubs. This in spite of the fact that no violent acts or threats of violence had come from the occupiers.
I’ll preface this next statement, because some on the MightMakesRight Wing don’t have very good reading skills, Tear Gas is sometimes lethal just as Nerve Gas(es) are not universally lethal, many people have died from tear gas and many people have survived being gassed with The Other.
It’s not a question of whether Tear Gas is lethal but a mere question of relative lethality. Much like the difference between being shot with a .38 special and being shot with a 12 gauge shotgun and that relative to being shot several times with a belt fed machine gun.
The Oakland PIGS, famous for hiring a white supremacist from the former Rhodesia who subsequently MURDERED an American Black Man, Oscar Grant, by shooting Mr Grant in the back while he was laying on the concrete…. Then let him get away with that murder through a deliberately botched investigation (Blue Wall)…

Legal artistry
(In response to questions received on another forum: “I’m curious as to why, exactly, you feel that you are entitled to stay in a public park at all?”, “What makes you feel that you are entitled to enjoy the ‘right’ of pursuing your happiness — that is, living in Acacia park — without having to contribute monetarily to the upkeep of that public facility.. Furthermore, why is it that you believe that, in the interest of effecting a change in a law which you disagree with, the best course of action is to choose to voluntarily break said law, rather than getting involved in the legal process and effecting a change in the typical fashion? After all, all that really accomplishes is an additional waste of taxpayer-funded services, in this case law enforcement.”)

Colorado College closes doors on public lecture about Northcom, NORAD & the War on Drugs against Mexican people
COLORADO COLLEGE- Today’s presentation by Brigadier General Daniel Hokanson, on the role of NORAD and NORTHCOM in the War on Drugs on the US-Mexico border was abruptly closed to the public, for reasons not made clear to community members who might have appeared to offer a critical reception. Was it something we said, or didn’t get to say, except through our signs held outside Worner Center? What’s wrong with NORTHCOM & PENTAGON OUT OF COLOMBIA & MEXICO? Who can argue with this arithmetic: CRIMINALIZED + MILITARIZED DRUG WAR = DEATH & TYRANNY? Although I suppose neolibs would deny DRUG WAR IS U.S. EXCUSE TO SUPPRESS REBELLION. Popular with students was: WAR ON DRUG IS AS BOGUS AS WAR ON POVERTY. We’d compare it to the so-called Global War on Terror, but at a neoliberal institution like CC, who knows how that would be interpreted. If I’d been able to ask any question at all, it would have been to the Political Science Department. Why hadn’t they invited a second speaker to offer a corresponding critique of US Latin American policy? Turnout for the talk was sparse, and the sponsoring faculty member expressed his bemusement at our diligence to protest what he thought had been scheduled under the radar. So we beat NORAD at its own game.

Gilad Shalit trade goes to Israel’s head
But that’s not news. Trade ratio of 1,000 Palestinian prisoners exchanged for one Gilad Shalit could not but encourage the Zionist notion that Israeli Jews are worth more than your average cretinous Palestinian. Of course, Palestine held only one prisoner, versus Israel’s 6,000, so Israelis might consider that Shalit was worth only 16% of real exchange rate. Mathematicians might wonder how any multiple of non-Jews could be considered equal to one Jew. Apartheid suggests you don’t want to be compared to a low-life nothing, especially at a magnitude. Really, are Palestinians supposed to make peace with that?

In the spirit of AIM, entrepreneurship and Our Father Who is Art, in the Intersection
One of the Idolatrous Statues downtown is of Gen Winfield Scott. The placard reads that he was an entrepreneur, a “self made” millionaire.
Bullshit. I was wondering where I had heard the name before. He was the officer in charge of the Cherokee Removal. He got his money and his land grants at the point of the rifles and bayonets of the Publicly Paid Soldiers he commanded, same as the Horses Ass on the Horses Back in the middle of the intersection of Platte and Nevada. All their land and railroad wheeling and dealing was Subsidized Corporate Welfare and the point needs to be stressed more often. Especially as the Wall Street class warfare heats up and the Perpetual Whiners in the Ruling (for now) Class about how they worked hard to get control of the economy of the world grows ever louder and more shrill.
The Warrior Class is drawn from the ranks of the Other Slaves. Those of the Pentagoons who think they “clawed their way to the top”, the vast majority are like Robert E. Lee, who graduated West Point and nobody supposedly gave him any preferential treatment because his Grandpa was the first commandant. Or John McCain who supposedly got no preferential treatments just because his daddy was an Admiral. I recently witnessed the struggle of a young would-be cadet to get into the Air Force Academy, and despite having an exemplary scholastic record and a long family history of Military Service, was still denied entrance. The notion that you get into any of the Academies by your own merit is just another lie perpetrated by the “elite” who want the peasants to actually believe that they’re better than the Peasants, thus more deserving of the riches and power bestowed on them, at Government Administered Taxpayer Expense.

Oct 24-29 is Mile High Showdown, plus Obama, Tar Sands, 1% Robin Hood Tax

DENVER- Is it a vanguard action? Check it out and decide, but make sure YOUR itinerary includes TUES 25TH protest of Tar Sands pipeline with American Indian Movement at the UC-Denver Auraria Campus, WED 26TH protest of Obama visit, also on Auraria Campus, and SAT 29TH global march to demand Robin Hood Tax, the 1% tax on all international banking transactions. Really, just 1%? The Robin Hood of yore took more like 99% and left his highborn victims with just enough to limp back to the castle. 1% from the 1% is a start.

1, we are the people! 2, we are united! 3, the occupation is not leaving!
Nighttime arrests continue across the country in local moves to stomp on the sparking Occupy Movement, using park, curfew and anti-homeless ordinances to thwart permanent protest encampments. Participants remind each other that it’s about issues not tents. The authorities however seem indifferent to their public raising issues, but raising tents is out of the question. Last night saw a mass arrest of over one hundred in Chicago’s Grant Park. Here’s what they were chanting as occupiers were pulled from their human chain, zip-tied and led paddy wagons on loan from the Illinois prison system.
ONE! We are the people!
TWO! We are united!
THREE! The Occupation
IS NOT LEAVING!

Shock and Awe, Oderint Dum Metuant and the term 1%
It finally occurred to me why I had so much difficulty with the term “1%” as applied to Banksters. It’s a biker term. Someone in the late 50s, a motorcycle enthusiast magazine, had said “99 percent of all motorcycle riders are decent, honest law abiding citizens” (very true) and it was a response to a growing distrust of motorcyclists by the general public. Probably fed to the public by propaganda because the Wall Street types would make more money selling people cars than bikes.
So a lot of the Sonny Barger types (he was president of the Hells Angels) took to tattooing “1%” on their forearms where it would be really prominent. Some undoubtedly were and are Billy.
You know Billy, right? Billy the Badass? Some had never met Billy and others had met Billy and got their lunch money taken and sent home crying. Menacing glares and display of anger can be faked and your average citizen wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.
Me, I ride because I enjoy it, and to get from one place to another in a reasonable amount of time. Never gave a crap about the Leader of the Pack attitude. Although I heard one joke about that, “Any biker who hangs out at candy stores picking up schoolgirls must ride a Honda” which is really unfair to Hondas.
But riding a bike is like flying, on the ground. Also gas-saving. I can see where making people afraid of you would be entertaining to a point.
The point being that people who are afraid don’t enjoy the feeling of fear and take steps to remedy it. Liking shooting your ass right off the top of your legs. That’s not fun.
Then I thought about the Junior Police Explorer argument we’ve been having with people who are obviously minions of the 1%.

CSPD acquires urban assault vehicle. What line have activist informants been feeding them?
COLO. SPRINGS- This image just in from a reconnoiter of the downtown police garage. The CSPD has mobilized an urban assault vehicle, for, I don’t know what, keeping up with the Jones’s? Ever since Springs police decided that the Pikes Peak Justice & Peace Commission held gravitational pull over all political dissent in El Paso County, the CSPD holds weekly briefings with a PPJPC staffer, and of late they’ve added morning tete-a-tetes with an OCCUPY delegate from Acacia Park. What are those “representatives” telling them? That law enforcement needs bigger ammo? Would now be the time to suggest we call organizers who grease the mechanisms of oppression, however ill-conceived their intention, by a more appropriate term, RATS?
