Richard Cheneys Pacemaker, in a bid to save all mankind…

Attempted to quit today. He's in the hospital. I know, I know, morgue would be better, but that'll happen eventually. According to a legend which I just made up on the spot, he actually had been taken to the morgue quite a few times over his Misspent Voyage in this Vale of Tears. He couldn't talk his way out of it, people wouldn't believe him when he said he was still alive. So he hired a doctor and attorney to accompany him everywhere, bars, whorehouses, opium dens, Baby-eating parties... and convince people that he was still alive. Between his uncanny Zombie-like appearance and his penchant for dishonesty, people would simply disbelieve him each time he said he wasn't dead.

Silly Sarah tries to make political hay from Family Guy episode.

Yeah, right. Mrs Palin, the problem is that Family Guy pokes fun at you and makes references to your Nazi and other White Supremacist ties. Try to wrap it in some kind of concern for the Disabled, your opposition to Adequate Health Care killed any chance at that, babe. Just like your Tantrum Party and you, opposing health care, kill Americans at the rate of 130 a day (generously low estimate) and every single one of them Disabled. Silly Sarah, Presidency is for somebody intelligent. Not a Corporate Suck who chants Oil Company slogans then claims to stand up to Big Oil. We've already recently de-installed one Oil Company Suck, his picture is at the upper left. Your fake concern for Disabled people is as insulting, more so, than any joke on any television show. We don't need your pity, and we don't need your so-called advocacy, and we most definitely don't need your Sick, Murdering Tea Party to be running our country.

Tailgunner Joe: health care not for you

Should a television cameraman get photo credit for a studio image? Can NBC copyright what represents a national address in a neo-public forum? I think not.   Joe Lieberman reminds me of dogged namesake un-American. What more proof do our fellow citizens need that their US House of Lords/Senators mocks a representative democracy? Senator Lieberman wants the Dems to drop provisions to expand Medicare to Americans aged 55 and above? Would it be that easy? Then conversely, why not expand it to all Americans, all comers actually, and forgo the pages and pages to which the Republicans object? Are Americans guaranteed the pursuit of happiness, but in ill health? Where's the Hulk/Rock SNL Obama when a senator really needs throwing out the window? The ENOUGH OF LIEBERMAN emails have become as ubiquitous as Viagra spam now. Finally, they beg, give us X dollars and we'll make sure the Connecticut voters don't reelect him. Sure. When Lieberman faced a challenger in the 2006 Connecticut Democratic primary election, who stepped in to support him? A veritable who's who of incumbents. Some even campaigned for Lieberman when he was forced to run as an independent. Former President Bill Clinton, campaigned for Lieberman on July 24 CT Senator Chris Dodd IL Senator Dick Durbin IL Senator Barack Obama NY Senator Hillary Clinton NV Senator /Minority Leader Harry Reid CA Senator Barbara Boxer, campaigned for Lieberman on July 24 CA Senator Diane Feinstein CO Senator Ken Salazar, campaigned for Lieberman on July 31 DE Senator Joe Biden, campaigned for Lieberman on July 31 HA Senator Daniel Inouye, campaigned for Lieberman on July 31 IN Senator Evan Bayh NJ Senator Frank Lautenberg DE Senator Tom Carper AR Senator Mark Pryor OR Senator Ron Wyden NE Senator Ben Nelson When it's a choice between you and Lieberman, they choose Lieberman. Between you and the health insurance industry? They let Lieberman decide.

Checkup- get one now, or get one later

The theme of a commercial sponsored by Aventis Pharmaceuticals and played today on Fox between football games. Big Pharma and Fox, the ones who are trying To Make It God-Damned Impossible for uninsured people to be able to Get A Checkup Or Any Other Form Of Health Care. A Scene: Lady in doctors' office being questioned about a heart issue.. B Scene: Coroner examining body and saying "Cause of death Myocardial Infarction" (A type of heart attack) into his recording device. Next... Scene A: Doctor asking same woman about symptoms of Diabetes... Back to the coroner adding diabetes into the diagnosis. back to the doctors office, lady being asked about diet and exercise Blurb about "You can get a Check-up now, or get one later". Back to Coroner pulling a sheet over the face of the patient. Oh, yeah, Fox News, Aventis, GREAT ADVICE... considering how much you bastards are trying to keep Health Care as a privilege of the Wealthy. Even if the poor could get an appointment for a checkup under your Wealthy Elite Regime, they wouldn't be able to afford the Aventis Patented (and obscenely overpriced) medications. So what's the deal, Lucille? What's the plan, Stan? You rubbing our noses in the fact that you're Rich and we aren't? "Nanny-nanny boo boo, stick your head in doodoo, there's medicine that could save your life but you can't have any because we're Better Than You because we have money and You Don't Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha and we've got a small (extremely small) Army of Redneck Tea Party Idiots conned into pressuring Congress to keep it that way forever. All we have to do is tell the Stupid Goobers that they're going to lose their Freedom if people get adequate health care, and they're too freakishly STUPID to realize that they'll be left out too, we'll kick their collective STUPID arse back into their Slave Quarters". Some people are born out of wedlock. Some others are Self-Made Bastards. They didn't get the name at birth so they spend their lifetimes earning it.

The Doug Lamborn health care town hall

I can hire one half of the working class to kill the other half.           --the words of 19th century robber baron Jay Gould were on my mind as I contemplated the loud mob at Congressman Doug Lamborn's health care town hall meeting. No one had to hire them to speak against fixing America's medical system. Citizens of other developed nations surely pity Americans for ranking 37th in the world. They can puzzle at the American idiot's unwillingness to improve it, but how simply pathetic the idiot's preoccupation that no less fortunate should share it. We arrived at the Woodland Park event a couple hours early, and so from our car were able to overhear several earlybird teabaggers rehearse their arguments. They discussed lines that had impressed them from other town halls. As the wingnut numbers grew, the most frequent introductory joke was to cajole each newcomer as the insurance industry plant. I'm not cynical enough to suspect that any of the Woodland Park shrunken heads could have been paid agents. But I was emboldened to anticipate that without Rush or Glenn Beck present, these dittoheads might easily be disarrayed into a cacophony of bobbleheads, and I was right.

Costs rise with America’s ongoing ‘Health Care’ boondoggle

Costs up almost 10% in 2 years? Poor delivery of care, many uncovered at all, and yet the price is almost 2 1/2 trillion per year now? This is America, Land of White Collar Run-Away Crime. This simply is not the best health care system in the world and far from that. See U.S. health care spending reaches $2.4 trillion in 08 All this profiteering off human suffering caused not just by disease and old aging, but a human economic system that rewards greed, callousness, and sheer theft! Public health has been dismantled, and the role of poverty in making disease proliferate everywhere totally ignored. And we have a tiered system of delivery where some get superior care, and others get next to none. America is a sick country with a sick system of delivery of Medical Care. And it is not getting any better. We've been lying down and playing dead. We've been dying... PERIOD... because we have accepted this atrocity without fighting enough against it. In fact, most have gone along with it without giving it even a single thought. No need to call EMS for this sick system. It is already dead!

Halls: a pep talk in every cough drop

It's a TV commercial to define our time! The new HALLS ad pictures an obese multiracial menial worker restocking a Wal-mart frozen food aisle. And she's in ill health, and her only recourse for medical care is a piece of hard candy. But forget soothing medicinal relief, these days the "Halls of Medicine" promises a "pep talk in every drop." In this TV spot, the encouragement comes from a drill sergeant with the bedside manner of a Post-911 blimp-neck who addresses her as "Shorty." He yells into his squat patient/plebe's face, who by her welcome response must also be a military reservist, urging, and I'll paraphrase, to repress her symptoms and put on her "war face." It may as well be a health insurance company pep talk repartee: suck it up.

Colorado’s collapsing Medical Care

The Denver Post ran an article this Sunday that paints a pretty sad picture of what's going on in Health Care as the Obama Regime stands by. Health services in distress- Newly jobless seek aid in "astronomical" numbers   Health services being shut down even as demand goes up, as the economy is just not getting the job down for what people actually need! Meanwhile, Big Business run local, state, and federal government sits idly by watching the on rush of disaster without responding to it in any meaningful manner. This is Hurricane Katrina unfolding once again, but on a national scale and a scale of national corruption that dwarfs the mess that Bush made out of Southern Louisiana and Southern Mississippi. The levees have burst wide open, because the money was spent elsewhere rather than in reinforcement of these vital services. Where's the CHANGE?

Dr Sanjay Gupta the US Quack General?

CNN is leaking inside information that its own TV health care pundit Sanjay Gupta is being tapped for US Surgeon General. What do you suppose Barack Obama would have in mind, to chose a Big Pharma / medical industry / insurance interest / media shill to be the American people's health care ombudsman?   Were you among those hoping that Candidate Obama was going to bring health care reform, instead of seeking out a second opinion to say we're all doing just fine? In 2003 Sanjay Gupta was an embed in Iraq for Chrissakes, reassuring American viewers that our boys were receiving celebrity care and that Hippocratic attentions were being paid to Iraqi wounded too. Did that turn out to be true? CNN embed Gupta was a propagandist! It requires what scruples to do that? Maybe Obama should pick Geraldo for FCC chair. How about Ollie North for Military Industry Czar? More recently Gupta was the chief critic of Michael Moore's health care documentary SICKO. Gupta led the corporate media charge to discredit Moore's scathing assessment of the corrupt US medical system. Ask yourself, pray tell with what arguments could Gupta raise to redeem today's pitiable state of affairs? No surprise, Pricko Gupta has also proven to be an outspoken advocate of Gardasil, the tragically flawed inoculation being foisted upon our nation's young girls. To call Dr. Sanjay Gupta a quack would do disservice to chiropractors. He's in a league with Republican Bill Frist. Take two bitter pills and call me an asshole in the morning. Maybe being a CNN talking head comes with having to shill for whoever are your advertisers. At CNN, that would be the pharmaceutical advertisers, the HMOs and the insurance companies. If Gupta indeed goes to Washington, will he feel the same obligation to represent his sponsors? It won't be a matter of changed allegiances, they are the same corporate interests who fund both major parties. This time 'round that would be the Dems, including Barack Obama. Anyone who had hope that Obama would bring change to America's health care system, say hello to the brick wall's new face. It's the same face.

The Business of Medicine

Does 'your' doctor care? Of course he doesn't! It's simply a business relationship and his 'care' is quantified by money. Don't look to a doctor for understanding Got more money? Then you will get more 'care', though not necessarily care. You won't get it from the nurses either. Being sick, old, or both is a lonely situation. Your paid 'care' givers rarely show genuine care in our dollar society. They are not allowed to really. Our affections are reduced down by the business community to a paycheck at best. If you want genuine care you'd do better to turn to a dog or cat rather than to an American doctor or nurse. Heck, American business even tried to monetarily quantify that real care as a brief trip to a Petco or Petmart will have you lectured about being 'responsible' to their 'companions' whose supplies they want to sell to you. But the dogs and cats don't buy it unlike the nurses and doctors who do. They're not into money and thus can actually deliver the real McCoy... CARE. The doctors and nurses will mainly deliver a business service to you, and badly at that.

Patient Dumping the MexCare way

Cuba exports patient care, but America deports care the MexCare way. MexCare is a public relations corp that helps American for-profit hospitals dump-deport people. It seems that there is no need to call Immigration in, just let the local Catholic Hospital call MexCare instead. Jesus would turn over on his cross if he wasn't already up in Heaven with Dad! The churches just aren't what they used to be it seems, now that they are corporate run hospitals instead, hiding behind Jesus. The Christian Cross at the local hospital is just for public relations and it is the bottom line that rules now. Immigrants Facing Deportation by U.S. Hospitals
