Colo. College guest Donald Gregg: the man who hired the man who killed Che

He administered OPERATION PHOENIX during the Vietnam War, the CIA counterinsurgency operation which sought to pacify Vietnam with the targeted assassination of thousands of potential insurgents. For Vice President George H. W. Bush's office, he coordinated the funding of the illegal US covert war against Central America, aka, the IRAN-CONTRA scandal. Yes, he supervised both Felix Rodriguez and Luis Posada, each of CIA-state-sponsored-terrorism fame. But Colorado College introduced Donald P. Gregg only as former national security adviser and ambassador to Korea. And CC gave Gregg an honorary degree -- with not a peep from the know-nothings they laud as their exemplary students. I attended because I was insulted by the lecture's title: "What do Ho Chi Minh, Saddam Hussein, and Kim Jung Il have in common?" the speaker further slandered the father of modern Vietnam by indulging to associate another villain to the list, that of Muammar al-Gaddafi. But gracefully Gregg acquitted himself by explaining that Ho Chi Minh had been misjudged, and thus perhaps there is call to engage even our most despicable adversaries in dialog, lest we repeat our mistaken policies, as Gregg believes we are doing in Afghanistan. Not much objectionable with that. Actually, you can read Gregg's address, it's virtually word for word the introduction he wrote for a 2009 study of the CIA's unheralded successes in Vietnam. To his credit, Gregg does not echo the ongoing theme that Vietnam was winnable. Relating his more recent expertise about Korea, Gregg offers that Kim Jong Il is more than your common loon. Rather, Il is of unusually high intelligence, underrated by the US, driven despotic by his isolation. Or driven mad by our offense, I'd add. I'm surprised Kim Jong Il tolerates that we name our ambassador in Seoul as the Ambassador to Korea, rather than to South Korea. How dare US-occupied Korea assert to represent the national identity of Korea? As in Vietnam, it's the north doing the heavy lifting toward inevitable unification. Gregg nearly had me convinced he was reformed until he added a forth bogeyman for comparison, Iran. Iran mustn't get nukes, etc, etc, Ahmadinejad unpredictable, can't be trusted, etc. Ho Chi Minh had been demonized Gregg said, based on a wrong-headed anti-Communist domino-theory mindset, yet Gregg is perfectly willing to be stuck to Capitalism's current mindset against Islam. Gregg made such winning arguments for tolerance, respect, diplomacy, and the integrity of the best intelligence officers, but isn't that precisely the neo-liberal spiel? The CC audience lapped it up. Here was the closest most of us will ever get to someone connected to the murder of Che Fucking Guevara, icon of the world struggle against Western oppression. That's explaining the obvious, but I'd add, Che's heroic stature is no more diminished even if only known as a t-shirt image to this crowd. School-of-the-Americas-trained Rodriguez knew the stature of the hero he was cutting down, to this day he brags about wearing Che's watch as a keepsake. Rodriguez returned from this assignment with a piece of notebook paper

US House Resolution 1553 offers go-ahead for Israel to attack Iran

House Republicans have crafted a resolution to offer US approval for Israel to use "all means necessary" to confront Iran, reviving Holocaust fears and misquoting Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, where "wipe from the map" conflating the "Zionist Regime" with the Jews. Below is the full text of the resolution, supported by Republican congress members including Colorado's Doug Lamborn. 111TH CONGRESS 2D SESSION H. RES. 1553 Expressing support for the State of Israel’s right to defend Israeli sovereignty, to protect the lives and safety of the Israeli people, and to use all means necessary to confront and eliminate nuclear threats posed by the Islamic Republic of Iran, including the use of military force if no other peaceful solution can be found within reasonable time to protect against such an immediate and existential threat to the State of Israel. IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES JULY 22, 2010 Mr. GOHMERT (for himself, Mr. AKIN, Mrs. BACHMANN, Mr. BARTLETT, Mr. BISHOP of Utah, Mrs. BLACKBURN, Mr. BONNER, Mr. BROUN of Georgia, Mr. BURTON of Indiana, Mr. CAMPBELL, Mr. CHAFFETZ, Mr. CONAWAY, Mr. CULBERSON, Ms. FALLIN, Mr. FLEMING, Mr. FRANKS of Arizona, Mr. GINGREY of Georgia, Ms. GRANGER, Mr. GRIFFITH, Mr. HENSARLING, Mr. HERGER, Mr. KING of Iowa, Mr. LAMBORN, Mr. LATTA, Mr. LOBIONDO, Mrs. LUMMIS, Mr. MARCHANT, Mr. NEUGEBAUER, Mr. PENCE, Mr. PITTS, Mr. POSEY, Mr. PRICE of Georgia, Mr. OLSON, Mr. ROONEY, Mrs. SCHMIDT, Mr. SHADEGG, Mr. SMITH of Texas, Mr. WESTMORELAND, Mr. ROSKAM, Mr. MCCOTTER, Mr. BROWN of South Carolina, Mr. RYAN of Wisconsin, Mr. MCCLINTOCK, Mr. JORDAN of Ohio, Mr. BARTON of Texas, Mr. KINGSTON, and Mr. CARTER) submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on Foreign Affairs RESOLUTION Expressing support for the State of Israel’s right to defend Israeli sovereignty, to protect the lives and safety of the Israeli people, and to use all means necessary to confront and eliminate nuclear threats posed by the Islamic Republic of Iran, including the use of military force if no other peaceful solution can be found within reasonable time to protect against such an immediate and existential threat to the State of Israel. Whereas with the dawn of modern Zionism, the national liberation movement of the Jewish people, some 150 years ago, the Jewish people determined to return to their homeland in the Land of Israel from the lands of their dispersion; Whereas in 1922, the League of Nations mandated that the Jewish people were the legal sovereigns over the Land of Israel and that legal mandate has never been superseded; Whereas in the aftermath of the Nazi-led Holocaust from 1933 to 1945, in which the Germans and their collaborators murdered 6,000,000 Jewish people in a premeditated act of genocide, the international community recognized that the Jewish state, built by Jewish pioneers must gain its independence from Great Britain; Whereas the United States was the first nation to recognize Israel’s independence in 1948, and the State of Israel has since proven herself to be a faithful ally of the United States in the Middle East; Whereas the United States and Israel have a special

Argentine players lose to their bosses, New World Order is Old World Order

Team Argentina unfurled a banner before Saturday's match against Germany, against FIFA regulations, but it wasn't the one above which calls attention to the organization of grandmothers trying to lift the veil on Argentina's Disappeared, some of whose murderers still occupy high office. This picture was taken during an earlier practice session. Instead, before today's game, the Spanish-speaking Argentines were joined by their German-speaking adversaries to hold a sign in English: "SAY NO TO RACISM." It reached American and British viewers, but could the message have been more innocuous? The admonition resembled "Just Say No To Drugs," Nancy Reagan's pseudo-urbane theme of America's War On Drugs, an attack on the lower class that continues today and couldn't be more racist. Note how two dark-suited gentlemen unrolled the English banner while FIFA line judges enjoin a handful of players from both teams to form the backdrop. About the "bold letters" television commentators described the cause of the brief delay as "something we all believe in." Will we learn from those in the stadium that the Argentine team had unfurled its anticipated banner, but the TV cameras were kept aimed at a FIFA diversion? One might be excused the impression that the soccer game that followed, Argentina's catastrophic loss to Germany, appeared to have suffered a similar negotiation. Half of the excitement of an Argentine ascendancy was anticipating the mouthpiece it would give coach Diego Maradona, beloved star and great fan of international upstarts Hugo Chavez and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Maradona hasn't been speaking truth to only Argentina's power. The Argentine dribblers dominated the Germans at every turn, but none seemed disposed to coordinate a goal. At keep-away, they surrendered the ball to Germany only four times. The South American quarterfinal losses to Netherlands, Spain and Germany confirmed that as sports mirror life, the New World Order is the Old World Order. The Ghanian Black Stars are out, and the Dutch rise from the ashes of South Africa.

Israeli yacht club sends Anti-Freedom Flotilla to protest Gaza relief convoy

PICTURES! -Some very expensive yachts sailed from Herziliya Yacht Club in a feint of indignation that an international social justice effort was showing favoritism toward Palestinians. No Gaza yacht club could be reached for a response. Commodore Guy Bechor, an outspoken Zionist, led the ostentatious flotilla in protest of the humanitarian aid convoy attempting to break the siege of Gaza, which he belittled as "rusty tin cans." The banners for their private regatta? TURKEY=IRAN? and FREE GILAD, an interesting conceit. 1.5 million Gazans are being blockaded to coerce the release of one Israeli POW. That's a ratio similar to the disproportionate casualties of the 2008 Gaza "War." While soldier Gilad Shalit is considered a hostage of Hamas, he was an IDF soldier captured by the resistance. Israel holds 8,000 Palestinians in detention, not counting all the residents of Gaza. The Gaza Massacre, like the ongoing siege itself, is recognized as an illegal act of collective punishment. A fact apparently lost on the Yerziliya skippers. Likewise the disconnect they display in presuming to insult the Turkish leader by associating him with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Though the yacht flotilla raised fears of creating an embarrassing confrontation with the humanitarian fleet, in reality it was a single day affair. The Israeli counter protesters were informed that the entire coast of Gaza has been cordoned by the Israeli navy. The pretext it will use to try to arrest the Freedom Flotilla blockade runners. Bechor's website G-planet celebrates all the press they received, I don't see the harm in giving them more. These pictures speak a thousand words, almost as many days as Gaza has been under illegal siege. See more pictures at Bechor's Facebook album. The irony of the singular concern for Gilad Shalit might have caused Bechor to think twice about the message. All photos of yachts featuring the banners about Shalit have been curiously scrubbed, but they remain on some Turkish news sites. Bechor list dozens of Turkish media outlets which covered his anti-relief regatta, demonstrating a strategy of aiming to undercut Turkish public support for what it predominantly its humanitarian effort. While several of the outlets might be Hasbara properties echoing Israel PR, most of the articles about the Israeli counter-protest make as much fun of it as we. For the record, here is the port at Gaza, absent of yachts. The relief convoy will even have to improvise docks for unloading their supplies.

Think Iran is coming down too hard on inciters of protest? Remember Neda!

You might not have expected me to invoke the name of Neda Agha Soltan(i), the Green Revolution bystander "whose name in Farsi means 'voice'" and whose angelic face adorned every subsequent Iranian reform movement ephemera. Remember the video where pretty Neda was shot by an unseen gunman, left to die on camera, the footage used to rally indignation against Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's evident barbarity? Curiously our media chose to break from its usual sensibilities about snuff films. Remember your own blood lust? What fate were you wishing then for poor Neda's killers? No doubt Iran would like to see justice for Neda too. They've conducted inquiries about who killed the unsuspecting martyr. Have you? The Iranian government blames US operatives for instigating the reformist uprising, prompting Tehran's secular class to take their grievances to the streets. They point to Iranian student groups organized by nonprofits funded by the West. They hold capitalist rabble-rousers accountable for inciting impressionable consumer wannabes to push against the riot police. They know the US is spending beaucoup black budget bucks to destabilize Iranian society. "Promoting Democracy" in Farsi means subverting leadership, and where there's been a revolutionary movement against the established order, the USA habitually sets about to breed counter-revolutionaries. But that doesn't explain Neda. Political movements have infinitely more potential when there's a martyr, and it's a strategy no US adviser leaves to nuance. Movements have succeeded without them, but no psych-ops crafted scenario has done without. You wonder who volunteers for the role? We've seen recent examples, I can think of an incident in Honduras, were protesters pretended one of their number had been felled. But such is the weakness of the good guys, they're not about to kill someone as a means to an end. Can we say the same about the good guys of the CIA? When the saintly Neda was killed onscreen, the Iranian government immediately suspected a plot. Was it one of their soldiers who killed her, standing at an isolated corner, part of no confrontation? By whose orders would he have fired? Who said the reelection of Ahmadinejad was rigged? None but the Americans. Who egged on the crowds to overturn a democratically elected government? America. Who branded the reform movement, and levitated it via social media? Who else but America color-codes its exported "revolutions?" "Remember Neda" has become the rallying cry of Iranian expats and Shah loyalists in exile. They'll change their tune when authorities in Iran finger her murderers. When Iran executes those responsible for the covert machinations meant to provoke an uprising to satisfy the US call for regime change, it's not for crying out "freedom" but for yelling "fire" in a crowded theater, pointing at Neda.

Ahmadinejad’s Triangle of Wickedness

When Iranian particle physicist Masoud Ali Mohammadi was assassinated last week with a remote control bomb, Iran accused the west and its clandestine operatives, a consortium Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called the "Triangle of Wickedness." There would be more discussion about what he meant, if western pundits weren't embarrassed by the expression's apt rebuke to Bush's "Axis of Evil." It defines Iran's own War on Terror. The GWOT is a war on Islam, pure and simple, because you can't have a war on an emotion. Although, terror certainly describes the military strategy of the offensive we've launched against Muslims. In truth, GWOT stand for Global War OF Terror. What are drones and covert hit squads but state sanctioned terrorism? If 9/11 was evil, we should agree that terrorizing millions as a result is pure wickedness. Even if another skyscraper attack loomed, I doubt that terrifies even most Americans. I wonder if a similar preponderance of the populations of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Yemen or Somalia feel confident they will not be collateral to some drone attack or nighttime raid. Likewise, is anyone at all living in Lebanon, Palestine, Egypt or Sudan safe from kidnap by the intelligence services of Israel? What was Axis of Evil but a retread of the label we assigned to our WWII enemies? Axis was a perfectly appropriate geographic definition for the belligerent (say we) nations around which the rest of the world waged war. And since moral relativism, evil can rise nevermore above banal. Who didn't laugh when Bush sought to strike terror with the term? No doubt Axis of Evil came from the same Madison Avenue as War on Terror and Nine Eleven, tested on focus groups not meant to think to hard on them. Perhaps we've grown too sheepish to look for meaning in political slogans. "The Audacity of Hope" springs to mind. Pundits are certainly drawing a blank on Triangle of Wickedness. Dilbert cartoonist Scott Adams took a crack at it, comparing axis and triangle as meaningless pith, proving that a cynical office humorist brings nothing to the table if it's not a conference table. He joked about losing something in the translation, but dismissed the "triangle" as the US, Israel and Miscellaneous. It's interesting that we're looking for that third angle to be a nation, even though the asymmetry of our war on terror allows that foes are not necessarily sovereign states. Ahmadinejad defined the third component of our wicked triumvirate as the clandestine extra-judicial branch; the not insignificant power wielded by the CIA, Mossad, military intelligence, and the unseemly work it sub-contracts. It may be that the translation of triangle failed Ahmadinejad. To me he's describing a trinity: the father, son and holy ghost. They serve each other, one of them invisibly, except for the evidence of its deeds. And don't you just love "wickedness?" It ascribes a motive much more human than evil, entirely unholy.

Uzi Landau doesn’t steal Palestinian homes because there is no such thing

DENVER- Israeli PR envoy Uzi Landau addressed CU Denver students today, the majority of whom were antagonistic to his message. Denver policemen lined the walls, altar and choir loft, as Landau went on about the mortal threat which "extremist" Islam poses to Judeo-Christian civilization. Landau likened Iran to Nazi Germany and Ahmadinejad to Hitler, but had no comparison for the nefarious and subversive terror plots which Iran has been foisting on the free world. I'm thinking perhaps, like the CIA or Mossad? Landau entered the room strangely like a Mafia don, flanked by an entourage of black coats and security. A well dressed man and a woman who an hour earlier had been loitering behind me as I protested outside, and whom I took to be Russian when I heard them speak to each other, now appeared as part of Landau's party. Due to the sudden snowfall, the campus closed for the afternoon. As a result, the turnout for Landau's speech was sparse. The security detail of Denver and campus police officers which subjected attendees to metal detectors and bag searches, and kept vigil from the sidelines, would have been disproportionate even if all the seats had been filled. One got the impression that law enforcement were there to assure the audience stayed awake and respectful. Policemen could be seen conspicuously conferring about the seating area occupied by activist Glenn Spagnuolo and his colleagues. When Glenn rose and walked forward to queue for the microphone, a handful of the officers adjusted their positions accordingly. Glenn was responsible for pulling together voices to oppose Uzi Landau's appearance. Glenn had a personal connection to Landau, having worked in the occupied territories like Rachel Corrie, and knew the activist who was ultimately killed by a bulldozer working under orders of Uzi Landau. Subsequent to that event, Glenn was deported to Jordan. When Glenn announced the protest against Landau's visit, the CU organizers were faced with additional security costs, for which they had no budget. Attempts were made to negotiate calling off the protest. Ultimately the Israeli embassy fronted the funds for the added police. You might ask, against whom were the officers protecting Uzi Landau? Considering audience members had already been search for weapons, were the police trying to prevent a citizen's arrest? The good news, Israeli PR envoy Uzi Landau is not a very good speaker. His heavy accent and habit of letting his voice trail off confident the audience is hanging on his words, makes Landau a fortuitous emissary for those cheering against a military attack upon Iran. The bad news is that landau is as far right as they come, and if he's reaching sympathetic ears, there are too many racist Americans without any understanding of international law. I was surprised to discover that this Israeli minister's talking points were no more nuanced than the flack we receive at this website from IDF Internet Megaphone trolls. Landau reflected the same disrespect for the people from whom lands were taken, and are still being taken.

Big Week

Today is the International Day of Peace, or as it has become known outside our borders, Anti-American Day. By coincidence, the Pentagon announced today the US must increase its troop levels in Afghanistan or peace will win. On Wednesday pro-Israeli-expansion zealots are rallying in major US cities, Denver among them, to protest the Iranian president being allowed to attend the UN. (Potential dialog with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad could interfere with US and Israeli plans to promote military strikes against Iran.) Also on Wednesday, UFCW Local 7 will vote on whether to strike against Safeway and King Soopers. On Thursday, demonstrators in Pittsburgh will attempt to halt the G-20 globalists. Over the weekend, we will target media outlets who are misrepresenting the health care reform debate.

Ahmadinejad denial downgraded to jibe

Before Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's Al-Quds remarks could be translated, Zionist mouthpieces were fomenting outrage about a new "Holocaust Denial." By the time DC, London, Paris and Berlin were pushed to repudiate the Iranian president's statement, and real transcripts hit the stands, newspapers have had to downgrade it as a Holocaust Jibe. Ahmadinejab didn't deny the Holocaust, he denied the "Holocaust Myth." The part justifying the state of Israel. Official narratives promoted by Holocaust Museums prominently feature the conclusion that Jews can only escape extermination by occupying to the Middle East. At the Al-Quds rally, marking the day of solidarity to support the continuing struggle of the Palestinian people, Ahmadinejad did say: "The very existence of this [Israeli] regime is an insult to the dignity of the people." "They [the Western powers] launched the myth of the Holocaust. They lied, they put on a show and then they support the Jews. "The pretext for establishing the Zionist regime is a lie... a lie which relies on an unreliable claim, a mythical claim, and the occupation of Palestine has nothing to do with the Holocaust." "This claim is corrupt and the pretext is corrupt. This regime's days are numbered and it is on its way to collapse. This regime is dying."

Osama on Obama

The usual channels have yielded another video from Osama bin Laden, wherein a still photo of the al-Qaeda godfather accompanies an audio "statement to the American people," purportedly recorded June 4. Here is the full English translation of the 10 minute tape. First, two questions. ONE: I find it interesting that the message echoes what most anti-imperialists already believe. From a Chavez, or Ahmadinejad, this text would be timid. Throw in the unverified nature of this transmission, the mystery of whether Osama lives, or whose interest he really served, and this new tape subverts somebody's message, but whose? For example, in the new tape, Osama bin Laden recommends three books. The NYT is quick to tell us that any recommendation from bin Laden is certainly unwelcome by any author. The books? The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy, Jimmy Carter's Palestine: Peace not Apartheid, and Confessions of an Economic Hit Man. The NYT just as quickly dismissed the titles as well. TWO: Why does no one release the full translation of Osama's message? Newspapers comment on his statements based on interpretations made by US intelligence contractors, who themselves do not release their translations to the public. Are there no Arabic speakers who wish to translate bin Laden's words for the international audience? Why is everyone content to hear what the US government says is Osama's message? Extracts the US media is reprinting of Osama's message: "Reasonable people know that Obama is a powerless man who will not be able to end the war as he promised, but rather, will continue it to the highest point possible." "The bitter truth is that the neoconservatives continue to cast their heavy shadows upon you." "Ask yourselves to determine your position: is your security, your blood, your children, your money, your jobs, your homes, your economy, and your reputation dearer to you than the security of the Israelis, their children and their economy? "If you choose your security and cessation of war … this requires you to work to punish those on your side who play with our security." "The time has come for you to liberate yourselves from fear and the ideological terrorism of neo-conservatives and the Israeli lobby." "The reason for our dispute with you is your support for your ally Israel, occupying our land in Palestine." "If you think about your situation well, you will know that the White House is occupied by pressure groups." "Rather than fighting to liberate Iraq -- as Bush claimed -- it should have been liberated." "If you stop the war, then fine. Otherwise we will have no choice but to continue our war of attrition on every front... If you choose safety and stopping wars, as opinion polls show you do, then we are ready to respond to this." "You have only changed the faces in the White House." The full English translation, courtesy of the NEFA Foundation: “All praise is due to Allah who created [the] creation for His servants and commanded them to justice, and who permitted those who have been unjustly treated

The mouse & the lion, but whose thorn?

Mickey Mouse vs. the Persian Lion. This is the best graphic I've yet encountered, lampooning the US presumption to scold Iran.   Brilliant! Iran as an ancient engraving affronted by a corny shadow.   How fortuitous the two figures are Aesop's mouse and lion. Americans see themselves hoping to help Iran rid itself of thorny Ahmadinejad, but whose thorn is he?

From whence shines that Bat Signal?

It's a droll cartoon, calling Twitter to the rescue. But I believe MARSDEN got the metropolis wrong. It's Paris, London or Amsterdam, and French and English diplomats are in an Iranian court today because Tehran suspects the Green Revolutionists are being stirred up from points international.   The telecommunications companies could clear this up, if they weren't themselves eager to reform Iran's economy to favor capitalism unfettered by Islamic morality. The US antiwar community in particular is split on whether to play along with the charade. Secular freedoms are good, but are there real verifiable indications that Iran's populace wants them? On the one side, the Campaign for Peace and Democracy is cracking the whip to keep the usual pacifists in line. They've issued talking points to refute criticisms that the CPD effort in Pax Americana disguised. Here are their straw questions: 1. Was the June 12, 2009 election fair? 2. Isn't it true that the Guardian Council is indirectly elected by the Iranian people? 3. Was there fraud, and was it on a scale to alter the outcome? 4. Didn't a poll conducted by U.S.-based organizations conclude that Ahmadinejad won the election? 5. Didn't Ahmadinejad get lots of votes from conservative religious Iranians among the rural population and the urban poor? Might not these votes have been enough to overwhelm his opponents? 6. Hasn't the U.S. (and Israel) been interfering in Iran and promoting regime change, including by means of supporting all sorts of "pro-democracy" groups? 7. Has the Western media been biased against the Iranian government? 8. Is Mousavi a leftist? A neoliberal? What is the relation between Mousavi and the demonstrators in the streets? 9. Is Ahmadinejad good for world anti-imperialism? 10. Is Ahmadinejad more progressive than his opponents in terms of social and economic policy? Is he a champion of the Iranian poor? 11. What do we want the U.S. government to do about the current situation in Iran? 12. What should we do about the current situation in Iran? 13. Is it right to advocate a different form of government in Iran? The response to question one is amusing: 1. Was the June 12, 2009 election fair? Even if every vote was counted fairly, this was not a fair election. 475 people wished to run for president, but the un-elected Guardian Council, which vets all candidates for supposed conformity to Islamic principles, rejected all but 4. Free elections also require free press, free expression, and freedom to organize, all of which have been severely curtailed." Now, can they say the exact same thing about US elections? But they haven't, nor have the CPD addressed Peace and Democracy issues anywhere but Iran. Taking the admittedly lonely side is the Monthly Review, where academic Edward Herman can easily parry the CPD's rationalizations. Didn't it used to be illegal to spend government monies to propagandize the American public? Someone wants a war with Iran, and their using do-gooder grass-roots to sell it.

Who killed Neda Agha-Soltan?

The video footage is shocking. An attractive young woman watching the demonstrations in Tehran is struck by a sniper's bullet and dies before several video cameras. The tragedy is projected unto Facebook and Youtube, with advocates hoping it will galvanize (American) public support for the brave reform movement in Iran. News accounts blame "Basij snipers" on the rooftops. Other protesters have been killed in confrontations with Iranian riot police, without the benefit of video witnesses, much like two million Iraqis, Afghans, Pakistanis et al. Poor 27-year-old bystander Neda Soltani stood at the quite improbable convergence of bullet and camera --correction-- cameras. I don't have to suggest the scene was staged; whether or not the triggerman was an American is immaterial. Think about just the improbability of your seeing this video. When was the last time the mainstream press has circulated a snuff film? The average person is embarrassed to watch a person die. It's exploitive. Even when America was fixated on beheaded hostages, our television gatekeepers refused to broadcast the footage. Many horrific war killing moments have found their way unto Youtube, which antiwar activists could only hope would find wider distribution, if only to bring home the inhumanity of our soldiers' deeds. It never happens. The western press is running with this story because it demonizes the apparently naked inhumanity of Islam. Muslims stone women, hang gays, look: the bastards shoot their own people arbitrarily. Curiously our media doesn't make hay with the hapless victims of US snipers. The Neda Soltani snuff footage hit internet shores prepackaged with a smiling mug, and a name that translated means "the voice." Could a casting director have picked a better title character to represent Iran's repressed? The western press is even poised to outdo the Muslims in indignant piety, already lauding Neda as a martyr, whom we are informed should launch a thousand Shiite funeral processions. Western pundits compare Neda to the first Shiite martyr, the grandson of Mohammed himself. Of course, also showing excessive Islamic sensitivity, western reporters readily dismiss the vanishing of Neda's body, to the Muslim tradition of hasty burials. For the record, in case you missed it, Neda dies onscreen from an apparent gunshot. We do not see the bullet strike, nor now can anyone habeas corpus. If the scenario was acted entirely, given the success with which the girl's face is being made into an icon, young Neda's life is probably as utterly expendable now as already depicted. You think you're mourning Neda now, imagine her fate if this is a hoax. OR the gunman could just as well have been a US black-op hit-man who had his eye on the videographers approaching innocent Neda. The US military has long admitted that special forces are already operating in Iran. If the Iranian forces are shooting civilian protesters, what's the harm of helping them out where there's a camera ready? When we're not meant to see it, the soldiers shoot the cameramen too. It could be the work of Moussavi henchmen, who are

The Full Text of Iranian President Ahmadinejad’s speech

At last we have a copy of the full text of the Iranian President's speech at the Durban Review Conference on racism and now we can examine just how it has been misrepresented as vile, ugly, and racist by vile ugly racists. The fact is that the main point of the speech actually has next to nothing to do directly with Israel or Jewish people at all, but rather is an attack on the war-like and imperialist United Nation Security Council and the undemocratic nature of this US controlled organization. He essentially calls for its abolishment in the summary of his remarks and it is this Call that actually is the cause of the Made-In-US boycott and subsequent walkout from the anti-racism conference, and not anything else Ahmadinejad said. President Ahmadinejad.... 'Secondly, mindful of the inefficiency of the current international political, economic and security systems, it is necessary to focus on divine and humanitarian values by referring to the true definition of human beings based upon justice and respect for the rights of all people in all parts of the world and by acknowledging the past wrong doings in the past dominant management of the world, and to undertake collective measures to reform the existing structures. In this respect, it is crucially important to rapidly reform the structure of the Security Council, including the elimination of the discriminatory veto right and to change the current world financial and monetary systems. It is evident that lack of understanding of the urgency for change is equivalent to the much heavier costs of delay.' There is absolutely nothing anti-Jewish in any of his remarks, and the world has had enough of the United Nation Security Council and its constant war making. Many will also champion Ahmadinejad's call for its abolishment. FULL TEXT: (Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's speech at the Durban Review Conference on racism in Geneva on April 20, 2009.) Mr. Chairman, honorable secretary general of the United Nations, honorable United Nations high commissioner for human rights, Ladies and gentleman: We have gathered in the follow-up to the Durban conference against racism and racial discrimination to work out practical mechanisms for our holy and humanitarian campaigns. Over the last centuries, humanity has gone through great sufferings and pains. In the Medieval Ages, thinkers and scientists were sentenced to death. It was then followed by a period of slavery and slave trade. Innocent people were taken captive in their millions and separated from their families and loved ones to be taken to Europe and America under the worst conditions. A dark period that also experienced occupation, lootings and massacres of innocent people. Many years passed by before nations rose up and fought for their liberty and freedom and they paid a high price for it. They lost millions of lives to expel the occupiers and establish independent and national governments. However, it did not take long before power grabbers imposed two wars in Europe which also plagued a part of Asia and Africa. Those horrific wars claimed

US directed walkout of conference threatens Iran with extension of regional US planned war

The truth hurts and the US and its allies don't like it when it is spoken. Because of that reality, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had his honest speech at the UN anti-racism conference being held in Switzerland interrupted by a hateful US government whose main message is more war soon against even more of the uppity Middle East 'darkies'. Racism talks expose deep divisions The justification for the walkout led by the US government was supposedly that the speech by Ahmadinejad was intolerable and racist itself. Almost all those who walked out though, were White Europeans and White English speaking government neo-colonialist representatives from around the globe! Poor Whitey! How they struggle against racism in the world today. NOT, and never did either. Since the speech was the supposed cause of their supposed indignation, I looked across the web to find a full English language transcript of it published, with the certain knowledge that if it truly was offensive, that both Israel and the US would have rushed out this transcript with great haste? But I couldn't find one! Go figure then? Why not? At this time, one must simply wait until more of the truth trickles out for us that await it, as this full transcript will eventually be released in English. What is for sure until then, is that the simple fact of this US led boycott and walkout of this UN anti-racist conference signaled to the entire world, that the US government with its new warmonger CIC Barack Obama at the helm, is jumping for an opportunity to committing yet more bloodshed against others and yet more war against the 'darkies' out there. And all to supposedly keep safe and protect White America and its honorary mainly European friends, those that provide the background for supporting White America's running of the planet these days! Catholic Church ‘imprudence’

Holocaust- denying bishop expresses regret and sends letter to Vatican saying his remarks were 'imprudent' There is only one thing to do with these imprudent Catholics and that is to take them out! After all, Iran's Ahmadinejad does not head up a religion that helped kill 6,000,000 Jews and countless others that were not Jewish in their concentration camps. But the Pope does! Many of the WW2 fascists were Catholics and the Catholic Church supported the Fascist Movement of that time, including the current Pope. They did it once and they certainly might do it again! So it's time for the Jewish State to deal with those who committed the Holocaust, and are now denying that there even was much of a Holocaust against the Jews. This church, the Catholic, also harbors large numbers of pedophiles within it and enables them to prey on small children. Surely it is the job of the Israeli Jewish State to selectively attack the Holocaust deniers in places like Rome and elsewhere they inhabit? A few kids here and there might be mistakenly injured but that often happens in noble causes! But wait? There is one big problem, is there not? The Catholics still have a lot of fire power coming from God. Sure, they haven't too many combat divisions, but the Catholic Church certainly has more power than say?... the landless Palestinian refugees do! Maybe the Jewish State would get beat, even with all its DIME weaponry and White phosphorus, which they use in purely a legal manner I have been assured, over and over and over again. So even if the Catholic Church was responsible for an ACTUAL Holocaust (no-no-no!!!! Adolph did that, Tony!), the Jewish State shall just live alongside in peace with the Pope and his friends? And I thought that they were tough guys, didn't you? I thought that they had inherited the spirit of the Warsaw Ghetto Resistance? Maybe I was wrong? Oh, well... but it sure would be nice if the Holocaust committing Catholic Church was driven into the Mediterranean Sea but for good. Some genocides are better than others IMO. Plus, that now Vatican property could make some nice Jewish Holocaust survivor a nice and safe place to live peacefully and with love.

Alternative Christmas Message of Iran’s President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, to the British people

Maybe it's of interest to have this Translation of the Alternative Christmas Message, 24 December 2008 on hand, since there is sure to be a lot of hateful propaganda in the US and British press about it. Yes, there already has been. Here you can read the translation of the Alternative Christmas Message, delivered by the President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. "In the Name of God the Compassionate, the Merciful. Upon the anniversary of the birth of Jesus, Son of Mary, the Word of God, the Messenger of mercy, I would like to congratulate the followers of Abrahamic faiths, especially the followers of Jesus Christ, and the people of Britain. The Almighty created the universe for human beings and human beings for Himself. He created every human being with the ability to reach the heights of perfection. He called on man to make every effort to live a good life in this world and to work to achieve his everlasting life. On this difficult and challenging journey of man from dust to the divine, He did not leave humanity to its own devices. He chose from those He created the most excellent as His Prophets to guide humanity. All Prophets called for the worship of God, for love and brotherhood, for the establishment of justice and for love in human society. Jesus, the Son of Mary, is the standard-bearer of justice, of love for our fellow human beings, of the fight against tyranny, discrimination and injustice. All the problems that have bedevilled humanity throughout the ages came about because humanity followed an evil path and disregarded the message of the Prophets. Now as human society faces a myriad of problems and a succession of complex crises, the root causes can be found in humanity's rejection of that message, in particular the indifference of some governments and powers towards the teachings of the divine Prophets, especially those of Jesus Christ. The crises in society, the family, morality, politics, security and the economy which have made life hard for humanity and continue to put great pressure on all nations have come about because the Prophets have been forgotten, the Almighty has been forgotten and some leaders are estranged from God. If Christ were on earth today, undoubtedly He would stand with the people in opposition to bullying, ill-tempered and expansionist powers. If Christ were on earth today, undoubtedly He would hoist the banner of justice and love for humanity to oppose warmongers, occupiers, terrorists and bullies the world over. If Christ were on earth today, undoubtedly He would fight against the tyrannical policies of prevailing global economic and political systems, as He did in His lifetime. The solution to today's problems is a return to the call of the divine Prophets. The solution to these crises is to follow the Prophets - they were sent by the Almighty for the good of humanity. Today, the general will of nations is calling for fundamental change. This is now taking place. Demands for

The Jewish Nation

Yes, there has already been the establishment of 'a Jewish nation' and 'Jewish Homeland' since the Roman soldiers destroyed the Temple in Jerusalem after its siege in 70 AD. Most Christian Zionists (like Joseph Biden or Joe Lieberman, for examples) remain rather ignorant of this Jewish history though. The 'Jewish Homeland' was established not in Palestine, but in an area between the Black and Caspian seas, just north of what is today's far Eastern Turkey and far Western Iran. Surprise! Not Palestine at all. Like the Roman Emperor Constantine who made Christianity today's dominant religion, Emperor Bulan of Khazaria made Judaism the state religion in this 'Jewish Nation' 600 plus years after the sacking of Jerusalem by the Romans. Didn't know anything about that? Well, it does kind of conflict with today's mythology around Israel, does it not? Some might not want you to know much about real Jewish history, including Zionist Jews themselves! See this link for some information about Khazaria The fact that this area of Khazaria was right next to Persia might help explain some of the current President of Iran's (Ahmadinejad) differing ideas about the origins of the Jewish people, perhaps?

The Demon of Iran talks to Larry King

After all the US government propaganda about The Demon of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, it appears that this gentleman is much less a clutz and monster than all those lined up against the guy. That was the case in both his United Nations speech and on his appearance on the Larry King show shown in 6 parts on youtube.com- See for yourself. While I have no delusions about the hidden side of Ahmadinejad, I have no delusions what-so-ever either about the motives of the Israeli and the US governments who only want war in the Middle East so that they can totally dominate all other peoples there. And also look at the pathetic examples of how all the American politicians and government political figures act as they shrill constantly demanding blood and war? They care nothing for the common people of any country whether it be the US, Israel, or Iran. Their blood thirst is the hideous face that our country presents to the rest of the world, and Ahmadinejad is next to nothing compared to that. A minor demon at best.

Final Solution for Palestinian Problem

"The more Qassam fire intensifies and the rockets reach a longer range, they will bring upon themselves a bigger shoah because we will use all our might to defend ourselves." -Matan Vilnai, Israeli Deputy Defense Minister, Feb 29, 2008 Normally the term Shoah, Hebrew for Holocaust, is reserved by Zionists to designate the Nazi extermination of the Jews, there being no genocide ne plus ultra. Could Vilnai's threat have been more than a Freudian Slip? Jewish spokesmen still spin Ahmadinejad's "wipe Israel from the map" mistranslation, but cry foul that their boy was not just misinterpreted but that Israel was libeled. They insist if Vilnai had meant Holocaust, he would have said HaShoah. Shoah versus HaShoah? You be the judge. (Yom HaShoah means Holocaust Remembrance Day. Shoah is capitalized everywhere online, except in recent newspaper reports, including Reuters, which is perhaps an effort to re-assert the old Hebrew meaning of "calamity.") What has Israel been perpetrating against the Occupied Territories, but wiping the Palestinian Question from the map?

Castro Chavez Ahmadinejad Maradona!

If they needed another endorsement, the anti-empire dream team receives Maradona’s Hand of God! Diego Maradona sends Ahmadinejad and the Iranian people his praises and a signed number ten jersey.

Boeing and Torture- a local company’s business

Boeing is one of the military leech contractors who have their local Colorado Springs offices at the corner of Academy and Fountain, where Peace Activists have held several vigils, one just recently. Driver-byers hardly notice the place and that is much the way military leeches like to keep it. Mohamed Farag Ahmad Bashmilah was tortured under the direction of the US government, and in US courts is now suing a subsidiary of Boeing for having flown him on their 'rendition' flights. Aren't you proud to be an American? More about this case and another local military leech called CACI and their involvement in torture also. 'Black Site' Survivor Relates Horrific Tale

George W. Bush, Holocaust denier?!?

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, according to much of the US press, supposedly has denied that there was a Jewish holocaust. In some countries of Europe, that can get you a jail sentence even. In fact, the whole US House (minus only 2 Congressmen) voted to get the UN to go after Ahmadinejad for being a Holocaust denier. They want the UN to jail him! But what about President George W. Bush? This BBC report just in Yes, it turns out that our very own US president is a Holocaust denier. He seems so honest and educated, but there you have it. He is asking the very same US Congress that wants Ahmadinejad punished for supposedly denying the existence of the Jewish Holocaust, he wants that very same Congress to deny the existence of the Armenian holocaust of WW1! Can you stoop any lower than this? Can you be any dumber than this? I think not. Jail George W. Bush for being a Holocaust denier! Jail him now!

Not all of the Jewish faith are Zionists who desire the US to attack Iran

Meeting between Orthodox Jewish leaders and the President of Iran, New York City, September 23, 2007 Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss, spokesman of Neturei Karta International, issued the following statement on the eve of the group's meeting with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. "It is always our pleasure to visit with President Ahmadinejad. This will be the third such meeting, in addition to our many visits to Iran in the past. We have each time emphasized to the Iranian leadership that, despite media hysteria and the statements of some misinformed Jews, we have found the Iranian people and their leaders to be friendly and respectful." "Likewise, although we as Jews are not to be involved in politics, (According to Jewish law, Jewish people are required to be loyal citizens to the countries wherein they reside), We have found the Iranian President to be a deeply religious man, dedicated to a peaceful world, based on mutual respect, fairness and dialogue." "Judaism seeks peace. Unfortunately, there are some Jews today, influenced by the barely century old, philosophy of Zionism, who feel that the proper Jewish response to enemies, be they real or fantasized, is aggression and calls for violence and unfortunately attempts to drag other nations down the path of war." "It as sad that so few have actually attempted to speak to the Iranian President or seek the true opinion of Iranian Jewry who live in peace and practice their faith throughout that nation. We have met this man who has demonstrated time and again that he is sincerely interested in the well being of Iran's Jewish community and has deep respect for world Jewry and their Torah faith, The Zionist attempt to socially isolate this man and his people is immoral and disastrous" "Zionism is antithetical to Torah beliefs. It believes in creating our own sovereign entity which is expressly forbidden due to the Divine decree of exile. This ideology leads to aggression against nations and is incarnated in the State of "Israel". This State continually oppresses other people in the name of Judaism and the entire Jewish people. This movement has exacerbated anti Semitism throughout the world. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad understands this distinction between traditional Judaism and Zionist distortion." "We view our approach to Iran as a model for all Jews and all mankind. The Torah is the Almighty's blueprint of mercy and justice for all creation. We have followed this modal in our dealings with the Iranian President and found in him an individual dedicated to these same ideals. There is much to be gained by talking and listening and everything to be lost by raising the rhetoric in the direction of war." Â The grave tragedy of our era is the inordinate power garnered by Zionism, whose acceptance of force as the only means to reconcile conflicts, has influenced some to abandon Torah fundamentals. We hope and pray that they too will adopt the traditional Jewish approach of dialogue, respect and reconciliation." "War is a horrible thing. The dark clouds of a
