Navy SEAL death squads get medals

SEAL Team Six, Osama bin Laden's executioners, keep their identities secret, operate mostly at night, and leave calling cards: coins stamped with the Roman numeral "VI" so crime scene investigators will know whose deed it was, literally serial killers wanting to rack up the credit. Now Navy Senior Chief "Special Warfare Operator" Edward Byers has been promoted out of the shadows so he can be recognized for heroism with our nation's highest medal, the Iron Cross. You say he saved a doctor kidnapped by the Taliban? Remember how US Special Ops "saved" Private Jessica Lynch? Until someone is left to survive a SEAL team visit, we won't know the truth at all. But that's too much heroism to expect from our boys and too little risk mitigation for professional killers. When it's an adversarial regime's Tiger Force we call them DEATH SQUADS.

The US Special Forces as a lily-white military career, a post-mortem survey

The US Department of Defense finally released the list of US soldiers killed on the NATO MH-47 Chinook helicopter downed in Afghanistan. Median age was in high 30s, which is unsurprising for highly trained Special Ops, but isn't it interesting that the usual disproportionate percentage of Americans of Color as cannon fodder (see casualty figures) doesn't extend to the higher-paid military career jobs?   Huge props of course to African Americans who decide against being career hitmen. And let's not neglect the exclusively white composition of the Abu Ghraib snap shot perps, and the docket, however sparse, of other US soldiers accused of war crimes.

Navy Seals Death Squids

It does seem unfair to conclude, after the US special forces operation to hunt and kill Osama bin Laden, that all Navy SEAL teams are death squads, but is it a logical fallacy? No one is now pretending there was any other objective but to kill the al-Qaeda leader and everyone who stood in our path, preferably unarmed. Now the latest revelation is that a duplicate assault team was kept at the ready. That's how many executioners ready? The question becomes, are all Navy Seals trained to kill in cold blood? The answer could lay with the instructors at Fort Benning, the notorious "School of the Americas" where it used to be understood the death squads of South American dictators learned their trade, although now torture is taught at military camps and private contractor schools literally coast to coast, so isn't that the problem? Torture being among other unsavory practices we say we do not do, while simultaneously forbidding revelations to come from Wikileaks. 24273

Oh Come THE HELL ON! Get Your Damn Story Straight, SEALs!

First they said that Usama had "died like a coward" throwing a woman at the SEALs as a "human shield" and The Denver Post and the GagZette and every other Blood-thirsty "news" Propaganda agency in the country bought it, ate it up like a scoop of ice cream. NOW, typical of Cop behavior when they blow away an unarmed suspect, the PIGS are saying they thought he was going for a weapon. Which is it? Did he have both hands full of Female Human Shield or was he going for a gun You Lying Sons Of Bitches? This isn't your average midnight Terror Police Raid, this one has hanging on it all the idiotic War Drum Beating about taking over Pakistan in addition to the two unwinnable wars you already have going. Iraq still isn't ruled by the Iraqi people, they still have the Puppet Nouri al Maliki using U.S. Soldiers to keep the Iraqi people from storming his castle. The Warmongering Profit-hungry GreedPigs are still raking in the do-re-mi over that and other actions they can sell the Weapons of Conquest to "Mission Accomplish". How much fatter must we allow the Daddy Warbuck Hogs to get? 24124

Navy wants immunity for its alibis

There are apparently five navy servicemen who say they can exonerate the Navy Seals accused of beating Iraqi suspect Ahmed Hashim Abed in 2004. But they won't testify unless granted immunity from prosecution. Say what? Their alibi is illegal? I'll confess to writing John Yoo's torture memo if I can be indemnified from responsibility. Wait, Yoo and his lawless wild bunch were let off the hook. And the civil case against Guantanamo for its detainees suicided in interrogation was dismissed. US law down the rabbit hole. Off with their heads -- except Americans!

Black Pirates meted Southern Justice

Dutch NATO forces rescued 20 hostages off the coast of Africa last week without loss of life. They thwarted a pirate attack, confiscated the booty, but must release the captured pirates owing to International Maritime Law. Contrast this with American cowboy rules of engagement. 7486
