So I saw this headline on The Globe, a fine newspaper with more journalistic standards than the C.S. Gazette but that doesn’t say much. We’re expected to get our knickers in a knot because, just like every third year for a while now, Charles Manson is going to have a parole hearing. So is Mark David Chapman, the man who shot John Lennon AND … John Hinckley Jr. lone wolf gunman with ties to the Bush family.
Hinckley, almost 31 years ago, was found not guilty by reason of insanity for four counts of Aggravated Assault. Didn’t kill anybody. So he’s in a Psychiatric Prison with no set release date ever. No sentence, they can keep him until his rotting corpse falls apart as far as the courts are concerned. Chapman and Manson ain’t getting out either.
Having a parole hearing doesn’t mean you get parole, it’s just a formality in many many cases. But makes for some spectacular fear-mongering, don’t it? I was researching why (I already know, just looking for confirmation) this piece of cinematic sewage keeps replaying on certain channels.To drum up war business of course. But I came across a review on a Right Wing website that the “classic” Red Dawn and Extreme Prejudice and a couple of other Death-Porn flicks by the same production company only show on “conservative” Cable channels and no MSM channel would touch them. “Lefty Censorship”.
How about this scenario instead? They sucked when they first came out and they’ve been sucking ever since. Assassination and “Kill Immigrant” flicks belong in the same genre as the “Six Days in Fallujah” and “Call of Duty” porn games where the players or viewers get to masturbate to images of people being murdered.

Here’s a propaganda shot circa WWI, where the crack of dawn obviously had to be hand tinted on the original monochrome. Is that any more a manipulation than the digital ultra-vibrance our embeds contrive today? The caption under this photograph, reproduced in The Nations at War: a Current History published in 1914 when the “Great War” was yet “the World’s Greatest War,” reads: “A French armed biplane in pursuit of a German Taube aeroplane.” That’s for the folks on the homefront. In reality the German Dove has probably swooped upon the heavier Farman bomber whose forward gun was mostly used to strafe infantrymen.
