Some juxtaposition, don't you think? Patrick Henry's call to arms Give me liberty or give me death mashed up with the Goddamn Serenity Prayer: God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. It sure puts passivism into religious perspective. It's the fog of the opiate of masses, with church as enforcer of nonviolence, keeping the people down in advance of the king's Dragoons. What a mockery serenity makes of poor fools eager to feel self-respect for docile servitude. It calls to my mind the impoverished parents who cripple their young so to be more effective beggars. Or who sell their children into slavery. What cretinous vile beings. Their desperation to be pitied of course, but their fate to be repudiated, not accepted with whatever boat-non-rocking serenity. Joe Hill was a folk singer, on par with Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie, and an IWW organizer. He was framed for murder, a murder proven to be committed by another man. And executed by Judicial Lynching firing squad in Salt Lake City in 1915. Many Right Wingers say we shouldn't focus on such things, if somebody is convicted, so they say, there's no longer any chance of his innocence. Are you there God? it’s me Anders. The impersonal diary of Oslo Bomber and Mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik.

So there's a Mexican vigilante drug ring declared itself a law-keeping fraternity of the Knights Templar, now the Oslo gunman/bomber claims accreditation. The "2083" manifesto which Anders Behring Breivik released through a carefully harvested email list includes a curious diary/progress log, including this passage after a technical setback on day 42: "I prayed for the first time in a very long time today. I explained to God that unless he wanted the Marxist-Islamic alliance and the certain Islamic takeover of Europe to completely annihilate European Christendom within the next hundred years he must ensure that the warriors fighting for the preservation of European Christendom prevail."   That's about as much as God, spirituality, or conscience make an appearance. Breivik's candid musings share the desensitized voice of his favorite TV show. And he may be the first real serial killer to use emoticons. I think that Breivik's affable, sometimes self-deprecating, mostly aggrandizing voice comes straight out of DEXTER, obviously not by chance his favorite show. Though the television character means to depict a loner, there's a discordant charm which Breivik, probably like a typical Dexter fan, doesn't have any idea is a horribly ironic incongruity. Most relevant perhaps is that Breivik is a veteran of the occupation of Iraq. You wonder if Norway will now think hard about its role in the continuing occupation. Maybe sending its mercenary-mentality personalities to sow their oats in a war zone contaminates more than their young men's consciences. Breivik's favorite computer game, a first person shooter, involves racially-variated combatants. What the media is calling Breivik's "manifesto" is mostly copy-and-pasted information he gathered from the net: the history of the Knights Templar and lots of how-to for aspiring allies. We've bypassed the explosives how-to to present the account of his day to day travails, including this gem, Day 70: it is hard work for one person and I am really beginning to understand why Mr. McVeigh limited his manufacturing to 600kg. He probably encountered much of the issues I did and he probably had to learn everything the hard way just as I have done. However psychologists will choose to describe him, Breivik isn't stupid, or religious. We've annotated this excerpt by highlighting some of the cultural supplements with which Breivik was augmenting his diet, with intentional consequences and perhaps not. In the struggle for Middle East land, Palestinian violence will always win

Israel can build all the new settlements it wants, take heart, it only takes one horrific Tate-Labianca-like crime scene to curb the Zionist homecoming charade. Israel can terrorize Gaza to smithereens, the Palestinians have nowhere to flee. American Jews on the other hand, are not going to leave comfortable digs, to relocate to Jerusalem where their 11-month-old might be slashed to death in her crib. Such dastardly strategy comes at a price of course, against a military willing to defy international law and exact collective punishment for the deed of one zealot, but Israel knows that even its US billions in weapons cannot compete with one Palestinian knife that finds its mark. Odd, isn't it? On the battlefield, Goliath can slay an entire West Bank of Davids, but when the contest is holding ground, you can take it, but if you can't convince your people to settle it, the land will revert to its rightful inhabitants. I'll leave you to decide if the murder of an Israeli settler family is off-limits. They're moved unto properties appropriated from Palestinians, illegal settlement of occupied land, they're ferried by armored SUVs in military convoys, their rooftops, front gates, walls and streets are guarded by soldiers, their neighborhoods buffered by "sterile zones" purged of all inhabitants, the persistence of their habitation is used to advertise for more settlers and demoralize the non-Jewish native population in waiting of cleansing. Are settlers "innocent civilians," irrespective old or young age? Who is to blame for putting settler children into homes whose previous inhabitants have been put out on the street, who can only assail their walls with stones? Remember too, it's the Israeli settlers, more than the IDF soldiers, who routinely raid Palestinian homes, orchards and farms, killing their neighbors with impunity. Where does any settler get to pretend they should be considered an innocent civilian? Arab Palestine is confronted with a slow death by attrition. Israel has never disguised its plan to ethnically purge the entire of what it calls Judea and Sumaria. What does it matter then, if resistance violence begets occupier retaliation, if this brazen home-invasion-family-murder provokes an avenging of deaths ten fold? The Russian Partisans paid fifty to one. The Gaza massacre was 300 to one. The Gilad Shalit prisoner ratio is tens of thousands to one, still well shy of US military disproportional force. Peace activists want to curb armed resistance in favor of nonviolence, calculating that peace will come when Palestinian martyrdom awakens the Israeli conscience, or whichever comes first, Palestinian blood runs dry. This suits Israel of course, its Apartheid State needs the Palestinians gone, for Jews cannot forever pretend they have a Democray while subjugating an inferior untouchable class. So long as one Palestinian remains who fights back, Israel will never conquer Palestine. Israel can plan all the settlement construction sites it wants, the more beautiful the better, in the end the people of Palestine can claim them in partial compensation.

British Army say Native mutineer Talib Hussain “cowardly”

Because, you know, shooting at highly organized heavily armed groups of Known Killers is never the action of somebody with courage. The Ministry of Defence propagandist disguised as a BBC writer also made clear that the invaders killing civilians, especially children, in no way equals the horrendous the crimes of "terrorist" brigands who resist the Noble Rule of the New World Imperial Order and actually shoot back...."it is ridiculous to suggest that we are engaged in suicide attacks or are deliberately killing civilians. "Insurgents and those who are against the coalition mission in Afghanistan routinely make false and exaggerated claims and so care must be taken not to accept their accounts at face value." Like the video evidence their coalition Partners are trying to suppress of the MURDER of 120 civilians, mostly children, in Granai, by those same Coalition Partners. Some exaggeration can only be expected from Imperialist Terrorists like the Defence Ministry and their Coalition Partners in the U.S. Military. It's also worthy of note that the two Officers (misidentified as "soldiers" in the report...) were from Britain and Northern Ireland (but with a distinctively English name) respectively, and the sole Native soldier, Cpl Arjun Purja Pun, actually from Nepal, all of them members of the Royal Gurkha Rifles, fighting under the banner of the British EMPIRE but allegedly, fighting for the "freedom" of the Afghan peoples to bow down and lick the boots of the Invad errr... "liberators". The Defence Ministry will of course LIE THROUGH their teeth at any opportunity, because they're fighting a Murderous War of Conquest for such noble entities as British Petroleum, Exxon Mobil, and Halliburton. Wonderful fellows and their (Imperial) tradition of using the Gurkhas as paid assassins is still being upheld.

The Ministry of Love (because non- compliance must be CRAZY right?)

In the book "1984" Winston Smith is arrested, and taken to the Ministry of Love, which in DoubleSpeak meant a Prison with a brainwashing facility. AKA, a psychiatric torture chamber. Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn, held in a similar facility, in the Soviet Union, was described as Mentally Ill by the Soviets and the Western Propaganda Media called it a Gulag, a Concentration Camp and ... Ministry of Love. When Massimo Tartaglia busted Berlusconi in the face by throwing a Church at him (literally, it was a model of the main cathedral in Milan), The GodlessFather Berlusconi first had a press release where Signor Tartaglia was taped begging his forgiveness, a "Ring Kissing" ceremony if ever I saw one. Berlusconi said he forgave him. And said two days later, as he was being bundled into his car, that "Love conquers hate". This being the Hate-filled Fascist Prick who expressed so much "love" for the policies of Hitler and Mussolini. Tartaglia was declared on Monday to be "unfit to stand trial" and the Italian "justice" Bureau ordered him to be kept in the Italian Psychiatric Ministry of Love until such time as they could prosecute him and make him start on the official punishmeLove Session. Meanwhile, behind closed "hospital" doors and "protected" from Human Rights scrutiny by the Loving medical privacy laws, so we're told, he's not being given pain causing drugs, held naked in a bare concrete cell or placed in painful restraints, or if he is, it's not torture in any way. No, using psychiatric facilities as Torture Dungeons is something only bad wicked people like the Soviets would ever do. De Gaulle urges resistance in occupied France, Palestine, Iraq and Afghanistan

June 18 marked the 70th anniversary of the Free-French General de Gaulle's famous 1940 radio address when he urged occupied France to resist because victory over their invaders would be inevitable. Does the western media commemorate de Gaulle's message without an inkling of irony?   Of course, today's occupied peoples cannot be offered the same assurance, that help is on its way. Just as Europe was overwhelmed by Hitler's superior force, de Gaulle knew that US industry would trump that. There will be no white knight to rescue Iraq and Afghanistan, but "L'Appel du 18 Juin," celebrated in 2010, reaffirms every people's right to resist foreign invaders. And not nonviolently. General Petain, leader of France's Vichy government, was forever condemned for surrendering France and collaborating with the Germans. But he too knew that US industrial might, and its unlimited resources, ensured an allied victory. Petain can be thanked for sparing French cities the excessive ravages of war. Most of France's historical architecture survived WWII because Petain played along with the occupiers. But France is free today thanks to the resistance.

One man’s Guerrier, another’s Terroriste

WELL LOOKY WHAT I FOUND! Published in France just after the war, this book is about "LES TERRORISTES." Can you tell by the cover art, who play the title role? USA POST-2001: America designates its war zone detainees as EPWs, or "Enemy Prisoners of War," because to call them POWs would confuse public sympathies. To the average American, "P.O.W." commemorates the GI captivity experience in Vietnam or Korea. When a soldier of ours is caught, that's a POW. To grant both sides equal status would be to humanize our enemy. Of course, POW used to mean all "Prisoners Of War," ours and theirs, in WWII days, before, and as mentioned in all international conventions. We label the people of Iraq or Afghanistan who resist our occupation, as insurgents. Be they Bathists or Taliban, we call their cause an insurgency, not a resistance, because that would confuse American public affection for the French Resistance: La Resistance! Every nation in Occupied Europe had a resistance movement, and the WWII archetypes are still fresh. Occupiers equal Germans. Collaborators equal cowards, traitors, Qwislings, Vichy. Resistance fighters equal the heroes. Since then, American occupations, of postwar France for example, have avoided mention of their assigned task. In Germany and Japan, US soldiers are merely "stationed" there. In countries which we've invaded, like Vietnam, Americans denied being the despised occupiers, we were advisors, protectors, etc. And the populations who opposed our military administration were insurgents, and if they attacked us by unconventional means, they were terrorists! In Iraq as well as Afghanistan, the American spectator can discern that al-Qaeda has been the only named terrorist organization, yet Sunni, Shiite, and Taliban fighters are all called terrorists. Militant Islam is considered terrorist, Hezbollah and Hamas liberation movements are called terrorist, even the Somali pirate brigands are being condemned as terrorists. So who were "Les Terroristes" of Occupied France? The book cover heeds us to "Souvenais-vous!" Never forget them. The book is full of their pictures and accounts of their brave deeds. Most of them fell to the Nazis, to firing squads and Gestapo tortures. The brave Terroristes were the scourge of the German Occupation, rooted out and almost eradicated before the last year of the war. The Nazis called them "terrorists," they were LA RESISTANCE!

Strip Gaza bare to put down a prison riot

ISRAEL IS READY TO DECLARE A CESSATION OF ITS MOP UP OF GAZA? Israel moved its troops into Gaza under the pretext that Palestinians imprisoned there had rioted. As if tanks can stop the rocket fire with brute force. What society has eradicated crime by threatening collective punishment of its subjects? As jailer of Gaza and the West Bank, Israel intends to strip the Palestinians of everything: food, shelter, dignity, even their children, but then Israel will have to throw away the key. The world won't stand idly by, but America, Israel's lone supporter, and financier, is being kept in the dark by a corporate media which doesn't want to interrupt the lucrative military contracts which depend upon unrest in the Middle East. While Israel bombs hospitals and UN shelters, and blocks every effort to bring aid to the besieged civilians, Israeli pundits divert attention to envoys purportedly trying to discuss a ceasefire. Bombing the UN headquarters, full of food supplies, not to mention 700 refugees, with no less than the chemical weapon white phosphorous, and the leading news headline on US networks, including BBC World, is a casualty-free plane crash and, by the way, Israeli envoys waving a white flag while its soldiers continue to attack even the journalists who are trying to document their heavy handed repression?! Peace or Rest In Peace. Why else have Israeli soldiers been targeting hospitals, food supplies and aid providers? Why won't Israel permit aid agencies to bring relief to the Gazans? Does Israel accuse the U.N. of smuggling rockets? The Qassam rockets fired by Hamas were in response to Israel failing to lift its 18 month blockade of the Gaza borders, in default of their previous ceasefire agreement. Here's what the prisoners of Attica were rioting about: "We are not beasts, and we do not intend to be beaten or driven as such.... What has happened here is but the sound before the fury of those who are oppressed."

Pacifism versus Resistance, facing death

Who can begrudge Palestinians for resisting annihilation ? Our PC ideal would be to resist with nonviolence, bare your chest and dare the IDF soldiers to kill you. But they will, and as Israel has forbidden foreign cameras, who will be moved by your sacrifice? But what if you're not being granted the opportunity of being martyred by a tank? Before Hamas' December rockets, the people of Gaza had been subjected to 18 months of blockade, with no end in sight. How do you make a heroic nonviolent stand against continuous incarceration, where you are being starved of food and medicine and you have nothing to do but watch those around you die? What recourse do the Palestinians have but to elect representatives like Hamas who promise to take the fight to Israel? The Palestinians will surely rot in Gaza if their jailers are not made to take notice. What right have American pacifists to scold a desperate oppressed people? In the recent attacks, Israel has targeted hospitals and refugee centers, UN aid workers and emergency food supplies, while blocking incoming aid. Of their 1,100 victims, 320 have been children. Is this how you defend yourself from rockets or how you rid yourself of a problematic population?
