Designate US a State Sponsor of Terror

WTF. What act of terrorism has North Korea sponsored lately or ever? Are we talking about the weird assassination of Kim Jong-Un's debauched rival heir? That was a hit, not an indiscriminate act, even as our propagandists now pretend to feel North Korea's cross hairs. It was not even peanuts compared to capitalist corporate malfeasance and western state sponsored shock doctrine. If "State Sponsor of Terrorism" designation is an appellation controlée sort of prerogative, like Public Enemy Number One, it's probably time to democratically crowd source a citizen's intervention. Designate the US a state sponsor of terrorism. Bring on all the sanctions, terms of probation, and ankle monitoring devices required by law. Disarm our terrorist mercenaries and advisors. Throw them in Guantanamo and render them to the interrogation centers of the other rogue regimes who aid and abet state terrorism. Freeze our and their assets and check Priceline for last minute bookings at the Hague.

White mass shooters are not terrorists. They present no pretext for retaliation. Remember, the Global War On Terror?

Las Vegas mass shooter Stephen Paddock is not a terrorist. That's not because you or anyone is a racist for thinking only darker-skinned Jihadists are terrorists. "Terrorism" is a bureaucratic contrivance, as in, The Global War On Terror. It means nothing, but apparently provides legal justification to enforce American global hegemony with military strikes on "supporters of terror". Of course it doesn't. It's artifice. Naturally the public wants to see the charge of terrorism applied equitably to all mass murderers who terrorize the public. Like they want to see police brutality applied liberally to white crime suspects not just black. Like they want to see children charged as adults when the media is fomenting their anger. Terrorism is a semantic contrivance. It's how we denounce US adversaries and their desperate means to counter our asymetric military superiority. Our bombs don't terrorize, their hand delivered bombs do. The Nazis accused resistance fighters of being terrorists. "Hate Speech" is another contrivance. Priests used to be allowed to burn parishoners for it, priests called it blasphemy. Secular indignants avoid calling it heresy. The Enlightenment was supposed to mark the west's transcendance of the fear of heretics. Hate Speech is how Americans dismiss unsavory opinion. Fortunately the courts have struck down hate speech laws for what they always were, violations of the First Amendment, but the concept is still a litmus test by which the public wants to pin the ears of irritating speakers. Likewise the term "genocide". THAT'S a crime only other nations commit. And only when retaliation suits our agenda. After Rwanda, the UN contrived that charges of genocide mandate international action. As a result, genocide doesn't mean genocide unless somebody wants to invade. Oil interests are currently eyeing Burma. Terrorism, hate speech, and genocide are real things, but they are real offenses of which our government is far more culpable than you, or the random deviant individual white male mass shooter. Does it matter then, if individuals are accused of terrorism when the state is not? I'll offer you two examples of other contrivances. Conspiracy and racketeering. Both are heavily trafficked by our corporations and government, but easily applied to people whose enterprise authorites want to deem criminal. I just witnessed the trial of two legal reform activists, charged and convicted of both counts. When the law applies to you and not to those enforcing the law, it's time to stop cheerleading for the prosecution. Stephen Paddock terrorized, but who do you really fear now that he's dead --another random white man with too many guns? I'll wager you're afraid of the too many guns, their too wide availability, or the purveyors, who keep assault rifles legal in the US to obfuscate the mass manufacture of guns for international arms trafficking. The weapons industry terrorizes. Judged by intent, the common wife beater is a terrorist. No question, but see? The distinction is unhelpful. How about we call Stephen Paddock a SNIPER. He was that. The Route 91 concert venue was his paramilitary

D’ya think ANTIFA might be a trap?

By all means shout down the fascists. Shout down white supremicists. Bash the alt-right. Do it in black bloc, if you must (and yes we must). March on, against, and over, capitalism. Declare yourself anti-fascist. Express solidarity with ANTIFA protests and counterprotests across the country. I would rethink, however, opening an Antifa franchise without knowing who elsewhere can now act IN YOUR NAME. No one owns the ANTIFA brand. Like "black bloc", it's a tactic, not a movement. Except as this moment's zeitgeist, the brand has indeed become a movement. The imperative to repudiate emboldened Nazis lacks for neither urgency nor legitimacy. Antifa is horizontal like Occupy, no leaders. Its membership is fully self-nominated. Except where Occupy Wall Street offshoots offered local casts of characters, Antifa participants remain undercover. The problem becomes whose undercovers. I fully support confronting fascists. I might quibble about picking fights with inarticulate Nazi cosplayers. Our corporations, the media, and the police who protect both are the full grown, authoritarian fascists. I likewise support black bloc as an essential strategy for effective protest actions. I encourage picking fights with dogmatic nonviolence passivists who continuously thwart the potential of public demonstrations. I support Antifa as I do Earth First, as I do ELF, or ALF the Animal Liberation Front, or Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Intifada if you're begining to catch my drift. I stand with them without wearing a mask because my expression of support is my political right. I do not act as them, wearing a mask. Antifa may be serving the establishment just fine by diverting youthful rebellion from directing its energy at STATE fascism. It may be suiting populist urges just fine too by allowing discontents to vent our disgust against punchable twits instead of the impregnable powers that be. Ideally those inclined to resist fascism will catch on to who really needs the pounding. When that begins to happen however, some Antifa chapter (the media will call it a "cell") in Reseda or Des Moines or Stuyvesant is going to commit an outrage of domestic terrorism and the Antifa brand will be blown. It may be government black ops conducting a false flag, or three percenters shy of a full load hoping to ignite a race war, or misguided revolutionaries jumping the gun. It won't matter. "Antifa" will be declared a terrorist organization. Pardon the pun, that will be trump. And while we know Antifa is not an organization, intelligence records will have mapped out who were the ringleaders and daredevils of concern to national security. Authorities may or may not round up suspected co-conspirators and charge them with racketeering. That's not even my worry. Once discredited and forced underground, Antifa enthousiasts will recede into the woodwork. All the organizing, educating and networking will have come to naught. I anticipate that my thoughts here are not going to find favor with my many friends currently marching behind the Antifa banner. But I know a number of idiots among them too, and worse, suspected moles bent on disrupting productive

You are not to blame. US stands with victims allied to neoliberal objectives.

"Why don't we stand with Istanbul like we did Paris in the aftermath of their terrorist attack?" Because Western social media campaigns are orchestrated. Though built on outporings of sympathy, they are coordinated with NATO efforts to propagandize against perceived foes. The public's failure to muster support for Turkish tragedies, like African or Asian or Balkan or other less-Western hosts, drawns criticism of racism. But it's not YOUR racism, that's blaming the victim. Your heartstrings are pulled by whatever photos the corportate media is pitching. Photos of Syrian children for the moment.

American drone pilots eat massacres like the Boston Marathon for breakfast. Let all bombers share Tsarnaev’s fate.

Should Boston bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev get the death penalty? Should Aurora's James Holmes or Charleston's Dylann Roof? How about American sniper Chris Kyle or the Apache gunship assholes exposed by Wikileaks in "Collateral Murder"? Videos abound of US airstrikes and drone strikes far more deadly and indiscriminate than the Boston Marathon Bombing. I don't agree with capital punishment, as deterrent or justice, but if cultural arbiters want to cry for the blood of terrorists there are a lot of offenders in line before 21-year-old Tsarnaev. I say let he who has bombed fewer innocent people cast the first stone.

Obama drops Cuba from terrorism list, but should Cuba, or anyone, drop the US from their watch list?

Who is the most prolific supporter of terrorism? Even if you exclude state terrorism, economic terrorism, war, or proxy war, the US and its corporate partners are the undisputed heavyweights of sponsoring covert, behind the scenes, terrorist acts. A special ops veteran once told me that his standard issue combat rifle was the Kalashnikov.

Video evidence supports uncompelling theory that ISIS is an army of one

Western warmongers have caught on to viral videos for scaring up public support for military airstrikes against Iraq and Syria. So far three videos have emerged appearing to show a Western captive being beheaded by a faceless executioner presumed to represent "the Islamic State". Though viewers are purported to be screaming for Islamic blood, the evidence at hand doesn't implicate more than one person, himself faceless and of indeterminate identity, nationality and religious preference. It could be Mr. Califate himself, if the video is genuine --as usual we have only the CIA's word on that-- or it could be a mercenary under anyone's employ. Apparently experts are convinced this is provocation enough to launch a war. I say, let the US and its military allies show the intellectual honesty to release videos of detainees they've tortured or of families they've executed with drones. If videotaped atrocities are going to govern international policy, let the global viewership determine whose side of the war they want to be on.

FBI focus on Assata Shakur reveals pernicious discretion of Terrorist label

MS. SHAKUR (né Joanne Chesimard) insists she did not kill the New Jersey trooper in 1973, that she couldn't have, she'd been disabled by a police bullet to the back while her hands were raised. Shakur contends she was the victim of a legal lynching and before that a target of the USG's COINTELPRO. Understanding now that many black activists of that era were deliberately assassinated by law enforcement, might the 17-yr old Shakur have been justified in defending herself? She was certainly justified in escaping her torturers in prison and then gaining political asylum in Cuba. She hasn't killed a trooper since, so it's odd then, isn't it, that Assata Shakur is being added to the FBI's Most Wanted Terrorist List? She's the "first woman" because it's a terrorist-only list. Looking back, some of the best revolutionaries have been women. Retroactively designating enemies of the people is a strange development for President Obama who won't even revisit the last administration to look for war crimes.   Certainly Assata Shakur speaks against US Capitalism but does she fit the profile of drone-strike eligibility? Apparently so and that's telling. The intelligence community doesn't want to stop acts of terror, it's the ideology that terrorizes them.

Crowdsourced Boston Marathon pics point to usual paramilitary suspects

YES, MORE CSI DIY CROWDSOURCING PHOTO-ANALYSIS! If you could anticipate that criminologists would scrutinize surveillance videos for who left what at the scene, or who behaved oddly after a bomb blast, you could probably plan to evade detection, by, for example, bringing a larger bag to conceal the bag you're going to drop off. A soft bag would be least suspicious but would need a reinforced shell to pretend it wasn't empty afterward. That might explain some of the bag photos cropping up online, some of them dismissed because they're mistaken for before shots that were really taken after. It turns out the after photo of the Craft/Seal Special Ops at the Boston Marathon Bombing isn't problematic because their full packs appear to be weightless. Yet the bags are bulging at the same time. Would your elbow be bent, or would you be rocking on your heels, bearing a full load? What are they packing, parachutes? No need to compare their uniform backpacks with scraps of bags shredded by the bomb inside. We need to ask, what WERE these guys carrying, before then after? Obviously it wasn't first aid equipment or anything that came in handy for this deployment, apparently. Don't you find it disturbing that the unspeakable happened at the Boston Marathon, everyone's scrambling to be helpful and these two authorized attendees don't appear to have anything to do?

US backed terrorists continue attacks on Syrian government supporters

‘Two car bombs exploded minutes apart in a suburban residential area of Damascus on Wednesday, killing at least 45 people and injuring 120, Syrian media reported. The blasts targeted an area called Jaramana populated by Christians and Druze, minority groups that have mostly supported the Syrian regime. Although no group claimed responsibility for the blasts, it had the trademarks of al Qaeda-affiliated organizations.’ See the latest news from Syria

NATO US ally TURKEY hijacks Syrian airplane with Obama’s approval and approval of many on the US Left too

In case you missed it yesterday, US Pentagon and Nato ally, Turkey, has now taken to hijacking civilian aircraft in addition to its normal routine of fomenting terrorism on the ground inside neighboring country Syria for the US government. Barack and Mitt sit by here in the US approving these acts of terrorism and calling for Turkey to become even more terroristic in its approach to Syria. I guess our US government has been waging a War for Terrorism all along... See Turkey says Syrian plane carried Russian munitions. Imagine if say China took to hijacking airplanes carrying civilians from the US to other countries, and then telling folk they had found munitions on board? IN this less than imperfect world, the US government is world leader in shipping munitions, and I'm sure that Turkey itself has had more than its fair share of munitions shipped into the inside of their own country. TRANSPORT OF MUNITIONS BY OTHERS DOES NOT GIVE NATO COUNTRIES THE RIGHT TO HIJACK AIRCRAFT! The US government and its allies would go berserk if China or Russia were to copy this sort of behavior! It would start WW3. What gets me is how so many moronic Rightward drifting US Leftists are getting on board forgiving and just plain pretending that these acts of international US government motivated acts of terrorism are not being done by the Pentagon war machine, as they call, too, for the overthrow of the Syrian government at this time of war upon allies Syria and Iran together. The US Left seems to be in a state of coma right now regarding these issues. The burnt out ex Trotskyist site- 'The North Star' run by Louis Proyect is a prime example of what we are talking about here, however there are other US Left examples getting to be almost as bad as this in their push for more US government 'humanitarian imperialism' as well. You will not see these folk talking about Turkey's hijacking of this aircraft. Shame on the Old rot ridden Left that is now behind its own capitalist government's plans for war and regime changes.

Opposition forces kill US Ambassador Chris Stevens, America In Libya’s No. 1

Maybe it could have happened to a more deserving operative, but that's splitting hairs. Obviously we can't call the late ambassador Chris Stevens the "mastermind" of the US covert destabilization of Libya. However, he was Our Man in Benghazi, essentially the NO. 1 in charge of the state-terrorist cell poised to exploit the rolling "Arab Spring" for the forces of capitalist neo-democracy, let's call it AMERICA IN LIBYA. Stevens organized and armed the US-sponsored rebels who exploited the pan-Arab protests to foment unrest, then civil war, then NATO intervention, against the West's nemesis Muammar Gaddafi. Remember how Gaddafi was unceremoniously deposed? Captured, tormented, then shot most likely by a CIA-contracted assassin? Where was the humanitarian outcry against that sanctioned barbarity?   How undignified of Westerners to decry the killing of Ambassador Stevens, legally, in the field of battle, by opposition fighters in Libya, on this rare occasion when they got their man. Actually four: the ambassador, a military attache, and two Americans whose identities the USG won't reveal, I'm thinking mercenaries. The USG is speculating that the rocket attack was planned, and by none other than al-Qaeda, because it's unlikely the Libyans who stormed the US consulate in Benghazi brought impromptu grenade launchers. Funny, Gaddafi had the same nagging complaint about his supposed "protesters."   Everyone is condemning this killing, even President Obama vows to exact "justice". But by his own definition, this was justice meted by Libyans, perhaps even some of the allies we'd mobilized to remove Gaddafi. Whereas Obama's "justice" means retaliatory air strikes and death squads against unnamed, unproven adversaries, immolating their homes, families and friends.

Should the London Olympics remember the 1972 Munich Holocaust? Do you?

America can't memorialize the 1972 Munich hostage killings, because that act of terrorism was not unlike our own airstrikes or special ops raids, against purported enemy combatants, off the field of combat, except we don't even try to kidnap them alive.   Of course the Israeli Olympic wrestlers and weightlifters killed in Munich in 1972 should be memorialized. But to call the deaths a massacre pretends the German police meant their ambush to kill everyone.* What happened at the 1972 Olympics is being recalled as the "Munich Massacre" but even the propagandists tweaking the Wikipedia entry don't have the temerity to doff the disclaimer that "massacre" is the informal name. Shall we recall what happened? On September 5, 1972, PLO terrorists infiltrated the Olympic village and tried to kidnap Israeli hostages to exchange for 234 Palestinians held by Israel. Two Israelis fought back and were killed. Next the eight gunman and their nine captives were led into an ambush at a military airfield. After a 1 & 1/2 hour gun battle on the tarmac, trapped under the helicopters by police snipers, the PLO killed four of their captives. A police investigation revealed the remaining five captives may have died in sniper crossfire. This detail is disputed, but a secret financial settlement was sought and reached with German authorities. So, was Munich a massacre or a botched hostage rescue? Do words matter? The Mossad's retaliatory murder of an innocent Moroccan waiter in Norway, mistaken for the Munich mastermind, is trivialized as the Lillehammer Affair. Proponents want an Olympic tribute to the Munich Massacre "so that it never happens again." Boy does that ever have a familiar ring to it. Look out for an Elie Wieselish re-tailoring of the original narrative, Steven Spielberg's Munich being only a recent example of a myth-makeover remembrance. To begin with, the PLO kidnappers were a faction of the PLO called the Black September Brigade, named after the Black September purge of the PLO from Jordan. This ouster, aided by the US and fought by Syria, was initiated by Israel's attack on the village of Karameh, in which the PLO suffered 200 killed, to the IDF's 28. Not a massacre because 150 PLO fighters were taken captive. Wikistorians taking liberties with translation are calling the PLO group "Black September", with the effect of obfuscating the event which preceded the Munich operation. The Munich raid to seize hostages was actually named "Operation Iqrit and Kafr Bir'im" after the Christian villages of Kafr Bir'im and Iqrit, ethnically cleansed by Israel in 1948. Villagers were granted right of return by Israel's supreme court, but overruled by the military. An attempt to return had been repulsed by police as recently as August 1972, as the Olympics began. Next, the identity of the Israeli athletes is always left incomplete. With the exception of the 18 year old Russian immigrant, all the Israeli hostages were IDF soldiers who'd participated in military acts against Palestine, Egypt, lebanon, Jordan, or Syria, and so are not exactly the innocent civilians of current

Do the 2012 London Olympics need extra security forces to protect Israeli athletes or to arrest them?

Organizers are worried about inadequate security for the Olympic Games set to begin next month in London. What security threat are they anticipating exactly? It's true the Olympics have become a bullseye for globalization critics. More and more, both athletes and groupies represent the jet set. But other than past indigenous protests in the Commonwealth territories, which amounted to no more than nonviolent blockades, what does the UK need paramilitary forces to defend against this time? Another 1972 Munich massacre? At the summer Olympics in Munich, the Israeli wrestling team was murdered by PLO terrorists called the "Black September Brigade", but the official narrative leaves off that the Israeli athletes were targeted because they were IDF soldiers who'd participated in the counter-insurgent near-complete rout of the PLO, known as Black September. So that raises an interesting question. Is London expecting to host Israeli athletes who were veterans of Operation Cast Lead or the attack on the Mavi Marmara, whose assassinations someone might want to avenge? British authorities could address that most handily with preemption, because this time the IDF campaign against Gaza was widely regarded to have violated international law. Warn Team Israel that any such veteran setting foot in England would face prosecution for war crimes. While London is at it, issue the same warning to Team USA. Yeah, and Team UK, and Team Germany, et cetera, for Afghanistan, Libya, now Syria. It's become the 2012 NATO War Criminals Olympics, gone professional, no amateur status terrorists need apply.

US and allies Qatar and Saudi Arabia unleash sectarian religious terrorism against Syria’s people

Barack and Hillary are calling for more and more sectarian religious terrorism from the Sunni Muslim community against the Shia in Syria. The US government and its allies have started a sectarian religious confrontation between the 2 major divisions of the Muslim community in Syria. It would be like if Osama had stirred up a sectarian religious war between Catholics and Protestants. It is a total bloody mess that the US is making of things, even as it constantly criticizes others for supposedly causing the bloodshed. The Associated Press reports... A suicide bomber detonated his car packed with explosives in a Damascus suburb on Thursday, wounding 10 people and damaging one of Shiite Islam's holiest shrines, Syria's state-run news agency and witnesses on the scene said. These are terrorists backed, supported, and supplied by the Pentagon and its Sunni allies Qatar and Saudi Arabia, against Shia led Syria and Iran. The people of Syria are caught in this crossfire.

Syrian Foreign Ministry: ‘US Admin Continues Interference in Syrian Affairs and Open Support for Terrorists’

DAMASCUS, (SANA) – An official source at the Syrian Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said that the US administration is continuing its blatant interference in the internal affairs of Syria, its open support for terrorists, covering up terrorists' crimes, distorting facts about Syria at the UN, and extorting countries and the international community to beleaguer Syria. The source said that this was made clear in recent escalatory statements within the past few days which coincided with an escalation carried out by terrorists across Syria who murdered scores of innocents, with the most malicious of these statements being the one made by a spokesperson of the US Department of State in 11/6/2012 in which she voiced her country's concern over the situation in several Syrian cities. In these statements, the spokesperson voiced concern over the possibility of a new massacre taking place in al-Haffeh, and the source noted that this is actually cause for concern over the possibility of armed groups committing such a massacre as indicated by phone calls between armed groups and their leaderships in Turkey. The source stressed that these US statements twist facts and falsify what is happening and encourages terrorists to commit more massacres and violence across Syria, stressing that US spokespersons ignore the armed groups' attacks of al-Haffeh and their assaults on their people, burning of public establishments, vandalism of schools, disruption of exams, and forced eviction of citizens from their homes. Instead, they cover for them and carry out media misdirection for the benefit of the terrorists under various pretenses. The source affirmed that those who support armed groups and provide them with funds and weapons and cover up their crimes are directly complicit in the shedding of Syrian blood, no matter what statements they make. The source said that the plan of UN Envoy to Syria Kofi Annan demanded the cessation of violence by all sides, but the armed groups backed by the US and its pawns in the region who voiced doubts over this plan since the beginning had been working to breach the articles of this plan. The source said that the preliminary agreement between Syria and the UN signed in 19/4/2012 states that the Syrian government has the right to use its forces to maintain security and order and uphold the law, and it stipulates for the cessation of all aggression by the armed groups and relevant elements against the Syrian Army and against state buildings and infrastructure and public services. The source stressed that this agreement obligates armed groups to cease all illegal actions including assassination, abduction, vandalism and carrying arms, yet the US side and the armed groups who are not oblivious to these commitments have refused to carry out any of them ever since the observers arrived in Syria. The source went on to say that the Syrian government upheld its responsibility towards its people and its commitment to Syria's sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity as per the UN Security Council resolution no. 2042, and that the Syrian government only performed its duties in

Go back to your country, Terrorist?

US government militarism occupies this woman's country and kills over a million of its citizens over several decades, and yet it is the Iraqi born woman who is labeled a terrorist by her killer? All decent Americans need to demand Justice for Shaima Al Awadi!   Is this killer of this poor woman perhaps a soldier or vet, too?... because American occupations of other peoples' countries now fuels this racist violence running rampant throughout the US. See Iraqi mother, Shaima Al Awadi, dies days after being viciously beaten with tire iron.

Shock and Awe, Oderint Dum Metuant and the term 1%

It finally occurred to me why I had so much difficulty with the term "1%" as applied to Banksters. It's a biker term. Someone in the late 50s, a motorcycle enthusiast magazine, had said "99 percent of all motorcycle riders are decent, honest law abiding citizens" (very true) and it was a response to a growing distrust of motorcyclists by the general public. Probably fed to the public by propaganda because the Wall Street types would make more money selling people cars than bikes. So a lot of the Sonny Barger types (he was president of the Hells Angels) took to tattooing "1%" on their forearms where it would be really prominent. Some undoubtedly were and are Billy. You know Billy, right? Billy the Badass? Some had never met Billy and others had met Billy and got their lunch money taken and sent home crying. Menacing glares and display of anger can be faked and your average citizen wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Me, I ride because I enjoy it, and to get from one place to another in a reasonable amount of time. Never gave a crap about the Leader of the Pack attitude. Although I heard one joke about that, "Any biker who hangs out at candy stores picking up schoolgirls must ride a Honda" which is really unfair to Hondas. But riding a bike is like flying, on the ground. Also gas-saving. I can see where making people afraid of you would be entertaining to a point. The point being that people who are afraid don't enjoy the feeling of fear and take steps to remedy it. Liking shooting your ass right off the top of your legs. That's not fun. Then I thought about the Junior Police Explorer argument we've been having with people who are obviously minions of the 1%. The whole "Shock and Awe" and "Oderint dum Metuant" part are actually slogans or mottos of the people who CLAIM to be against terrorism and are, also, minions of the 1%. Oderint dum Metuant means "Let them hate us, as long as they fear us". Wall Street is perfectly happy with Terrorism as wielded by various Imperial Military groups. They're OK with people capitulating out of fear because it means less money in the short run than actually killing everybody and taking the riches off their dead bodies. Like Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. But then, some people get a little tired of living in fear-based subservience and rebel. Like the Saudi group al Qa'eida. That's when things start getting interesting. Somebody using a weapon and threat of death to rob another, the way the U.S. Military does to every-damn-body in the entire damn world.... runs the risk of having to carry out those threats (which obviously doesn't bother them) or... Get shot at themselves, which DOES bother them. The Oderint Dum Metuant is supposed to only work unilaterally. The Police State want to make it unilateral. "keeping" it unilateral isn't possible because it's never actually been one way. Then I

Bradley Manning, Guy Fawkes, and the star chamber awaiting Julian Assange

You wonder what Elizabethan era failed coup plotter Guy Fawkes means to Anonymous. Their now iconic mask is actually an image under license from the film V FOR VENDETTA. The mask's smirk connotes an elusive rabble-rouser and perhaps mocks Guy's namesake bonfire holiday in Britain, meant to commemorate the burning of the would-be king-killer but ambiguously may also celebrate his near success. Anonymous wants to project an indomitable rebellious spirit, omniscient and untouchable, but Guy Fawkes most certainly met the death of revolutionaries immemorial. If Fawkes had any reason to smirk it was because he was able to leap to his death to avoid the fate of his fellow conspirators, each hung until half dead, then castrated, disemboweled and dismembered while still conscious. Their torture was as much a punishment as a deterrent to anyone who would emulate their populist heroics. Today of course I think of the punitive treatment being meted to accused Wikileaker Bradley Manning, whose abuse would seem to be wholly unwarranted, considering he stands accused, not convicted, and for most of his detention, not even charged. Guy Fawkes and his colleagues were found guilty by the Star Chamber, now the sinister pejorative for all subsequent secretive quasi-courts. It's something akin to the Grand Jury mechanism being contrived to finagle the extradition of Julian Assange. Not to stop Wikileaks, but to bodily hurt Assange, have him drawn and quartered figuratively whatever, that the four corners of the kingdom bear the message, dare to defy authority and we'll wipe that smirk off your face. The Guy mask reminds me of the masks worn in the interrogation scenes of Terry Gilliam's dystopian classic BRAZIL where the cherubic smiles masked unspeakably vile tortures. Semantics aside, Bradley Manning must be freed, and Julian Assange protected. Why should our heroes be martyrs?

The foot-glove banned by the military.

Yeah, these things. For a long time shoemakers have known that the best configuration for a shoe sole would be a bare foot. Which doesn't hold up as well on jagged rocks and hot or cold concrete etc.   So Vibram made shoes that mimic the human foot as closely as possible and they really are good shoes. One would think that the Army, which spends a whole bunch of time and money treating feet and ankles injured by marching or simply standing in the regular boots, would welcome something that would give you a tactical advantage. A HUGE tactical advantage.   Well, there's Military Tradition, you see, and Military Tradition dictates shiny black boots. They finally "got religion" on that score when they discovered that Polished Black Boots show up bigger than shit on infrared imaging. They were spending beaucoup d'argent on camouflage fatigues that didn't show up on Infrared cameras and (ahem) rifle sights but making the soldiers wear what amounted to great big signs screaming "Here we are, shoot us!" Actually it took them about a decade after that was leaked to the general public and two decades after the Army knew about it. It's like the British tradition of wearing bright red shirts with a freakin' white "X" right over the prime target region of the human torso. The U.S. Army with one-quart canteens in battle zones where the temperature is hotter than Texas and dry dry dry and you need to drink a quart every half hour or so. The British discovered their error sometime in the 5th decade of their losing campaign to secure the north-west boundaries of The Raj, aka Afghanistan. They discovered Khaki, which is a generic Indo-european word for "dirty" or "the same color as the dirt so the enemy can't see you very well nor have a big freakin X on your target zones with which he can fine tune his rifle sights" The U.S. Army allowed the camelback water pack to be used, but not issued, in Iraq. You had to buy your own. A Confederate General, name of Pickett, gave his name to another Big Goof at Gettysburg when a massed infantry charge against large numbers of repeating rifles ordered by none other than the esteemed Robert E Lee. The only cadet ever to graduate West Point with exactly no demerits. Military Genius. Charges like that had been cut down already in the Crimean War a decade earlier. The Charge of the Light Brigade being a spectacular example. Nobody seems to have learned anything because Military Tradition says you have to uphold the Old Ways especially if they don't work and even if it's going to get you KILLED or just badly fucked up. In World War One men were ordered to basically form ranks, march into concentrated fire from belt-fed water-cooled machine guns making much noise about God and King! or Gott Mit Uns! and they still teach Boy Scouts to use the words "Do my duty to God and Country". The routine became so

Homeland Insecurity Budget Report: My prediction: More Government Terrorism

Homeland Security and their associates such as the Military, Police and privateers like Blackwater Xe are the REAL Terrorists, who have robbed America blind and then stole the seeing-eye dog. Using in typical extortionist manner, threats from Other Gangs to shake us down, "You don't pay us the protection racket money, we won't be able to keep the Others from shaking you down". It's called "selling a hog". They'll say we're "safer" from foreign attack but need more money to be poured down their insatiable gullets in order to "stay ahead of" people who as described in other Might-Makes-Right Wing propaganda are so "inferior" that they couldn't possibly be a threat. They'll try to insert racist fears, more profiling of darker skinned people with funny names. And of course dismiss any accusations of "racism" as being paranoid. Crazy, in other words. Anglo Terrorists like the Minutemen and Tea Party "patriots" have killed more Americans than Spanish, Black, Indians, Muslims, Arabs... Not just with their Direct Actions where they gun down "liberals" or "mixcans" like they did in Arizona, Tennessee, other places... But with indirect murders such as slashing all safety and environmental regulations, at the request of their Billionaire Masters, poisoning our water and air and ground, pharmaceutical Corporations demanding more regulation on native herbal treatments, the medicine of choice for the poorest of the poor, and less regulation for their Murder Conglomerates. Less subsidies of REAL health care and more subsidies for drugs like Zyprexa, which has been known, and acknowledged by Eli Lilly, the company which puts the shit out, to kill people... for over a decade. And they still push it. Poisoning our food with re-writing legislation that now punishes organic farming and ranching practices and favors, once again, Billionaires who collectively own Trillions of dollars worth of toxic farms. Shooting laborers who demand a fair price for OUR product, our labor. It's been on-and-off IN THE U.S. but spending Homeland Security resources to enable a consistent war against labor in Puppet Dictatorships like El Salvador, Colombia, Guatemala, Panama, Costa Rica, Iraq, Then having to spend even more money to keep the relatives and friends of the Murdered And Tortured Ones from exacting revenge on the Corporate BigPigs. The lying bastards will say it's money well spent, but they'll need to keep spending it, and increase the spending.

Colorado Misremembers Nine Eleven w/ help of Zionist GWOT propagandists

Well looky who's the primary sponsor of Denver's 9/11 misremembrance: our scaremonger friends at THE C.E.L.L., the Zionist funded terror indoctrination center where you can subject yourself and your kids to the psychological trauma of a bomb attack, because the only fear they have to peddle is fear itself. We've covered the odious CELL from its start, whose billboards helpfully warn Denver that terror can happen to anyone, any time, any place. Formerly the "Center for Empowered Learning and Living", now they've dubbed themselves the "Counter-Terrorism Education Learning Lab." Redundant much? It's obvious that the GWOT drummers would make a last ditch effort on 9/11's final hurrah. When's the next big anniversary? 2026? They'll be the Crow-Eating Liverspotted Lepers by then. Besides trying to keep Americans motivated to kill Muslims to preempt terror at home, The CELL has another motive to spread fear. Israelis are beginning to bail from Zionism, in particular from the Judification of Jerusalem, because the constant fear of violence is wearing on them. One strategy to stanch the exodus is to make fear of terrorism universal, especially in core Jewish population centers like Denver, Chicago, NYC and LA.
