Erdogan fakes coup in Turkey, purges army and supreme court, shuts down US air base to force extradition of rival

The military coup in Istanbul was not what the Turkish President's tightly reined media, nor the West's fascist controlled media, say it was. It was not a coup, it was a Reichtag Fire. Now Recep Erdogan is rounding up the "plotters", most of them supreme court judges, who were the last checks and balances on his authoritarian ambitions. We're supposed to believe jurists plotted with foot soldiers? Imagine you get a ransom note from kidnappers, but the person they say they've kidnapped is on Facetime with CNN assuring you he's free! Imagine you're the kidnapper and you see that! But you're only a soldier, doing your compulsory military service, following orders to prevent rioters from storming a bridge, and you're not watching television as your president calls citizens to take to the streets and attack the disloyal "rebels." Meanwhile the officers ordered to give you the orders hop a helicopter to Greece because they know they are going to be the scapegoats. And get this: jet pilots who precision bomb Kurds and ISIS for lunch, can only lob lunchbox bombs upon the parliament and sundry official buildings. Now US pundits, speaking as former CIA officers, resting their laurels on having been advisors to countless military coups, are claiming the coup was "bungled". Yeah? Do you think Turkish soldiers don't know their capitol is in Ankara, not Istanbul? Former CIA director James Woolsey is among the pundits. Woolsey, we learn, has been in Turkey for the last six months. What is HE doing in Turkey? Now Erdogan has closed US use of Incirlik Air Base and he's asking President Obama to extradite Fethullah Gülen, the Turkish expat whose is seen as Erdogan's main political rival.

Turkey: where Europe hides its refugee internment concentration camp slums. And this time, Arbeit Nicht Macht Frei.

The European Union has made a deal with Turkey to return escaped Syrian refugees to their cages. The escapees are civilians fleeing the war zones of Syria, where many of them already lived in refugee camps after fleeing Iraq and before that Palestine. So many people are seeking the safety of non-destabilized nations that the EU is full up. Too many refugees have survived the perilous crossing from Turkey to Greece that the EU wants to ship them back. To the internment camps blotting the Syrian boarder, tented slums encircled by razor wire, where huddled masses yearning to be free are concentrated and forbidden to leave. At the same time that the West demonizes Turkey, we're counting on Turkey to jail the innocents fleeing our wars. One sticking point are the maquiladora sweatshops which exploit the captive cheap labor. EU labor laws protect against such abuse, thus slave labor pools are only profitable outside the EU. In 21st Century camps, Arbeit nicht macht frei, whether your work is weaving rugs for discount superstores or treading the waters of the Aegean.

NATO US ally TURKEY hijacks Syrian airplane with Obama’s approval and approval of many on the US Left too

In case you missed it yesterday, US Pentagon and Nato ally, Turkey, has now taken to hijacking civilian aircraft in addition to its normal routine of fomenting terrorism on the ground inside neighboring country Syria for the US government. Barack and Mitt sit by here in the US approving these acts of terrorism and calling for Turkey to become even more terroristic in its approach to Syria. I guess our US government has been waging a War for Terrorism all along... See Turkey says Syrian plane carried Russian munitions. Imagine if say China took to hijacking airplanes carrying civilians from the US to other countries, and then telling folk they had found munitions on board? IN this less than imperfect world, the US government is world leader in shipping munitions, and I'm sure that Turkey itself has had more than its fair share of munitions shipped into the inside of their own country. TRANSPORT OF MUNITIONS BY OTHERS DOES NOT GIVE NATO COUNTRIES THE RIGHT TO HIJACK AIRCRAFT! The US government and its allies would go berserk if China or Russia were to copy this sort of behavior! It would start WW3. What gets me is how so many moronic Rightward drifting US Leftists are getting on board forgiving and just plain pretending that these acts of international US government motivated acts of terrorism are not being done by the Pentagon war machine, as they call, too, for the overthrow of the Syrian government at this time of war upon allies Syria and Iran together. The US Left seems to be in a state of coma right now regarding these issues. The burnt out ex Trotskyist site- 'The North Star' run by Louis Proyect is a prime example of what we are talking about here, however there are other US Left examples getting to be almost as bad as this in their push for more US government 'humanitarian imperialism' as well. You will not see these folk talking about Turkey's hijacking of this aircraft. Shame on the Old rot ridden Left that is now behind its own capitalist government's plans for war and regime changes.

Nato and the US government continue their not so covert war against Syria

NATO says plans in place to defend Turkey from Syrian attacks so goes the corporate reporting of the US instigated war on the Syrian government. The phrasing of this report is all bullshit because Syria is not attacking Turkey but rather defending itself from attacks launched against itself from Turkish territory with the full complicity and aid of the US, Nato, and Turkey itself. But the US press knows that is readers are none too bright, so away flies the insipidly stupid formulation of this pro- more war for all of us, propaganda.

Turks protest against war fever of their government and NATO

Many in the US government and European governments would like for Turkey to go and duke it out in Syria, but ordinary Turkish citizens are not in support of this war fever. See Protesters March Against War in Istanbul as Tension With Syria Escalates ... The Obama regime has done little in its four years in office to diffuse the Pentagon sponsored war making in the Middle East and Asia. In fact, the Obama Administration seems to be using Syria as a stepping stone for a coming attack against Iran.

Ron Paul, Libertarian Texas-sized Turkey, repeats his mantra that ‘government cannot protect us from all possible harm’ post Aurora theater massacre

............. I was wondering just what was over on the ronpaul.com web site as the lIbertarian Texas-sized Turkey heads into the Republican convention and just days after the Aurora theater shootings. So what's he got to say about the gun driven bloodshed that occurred once again here in Colorado? Why it's his same ol' mantra as always... 'Government can't help us ...Government Cannot Protect Us From All Possible Harm'! There's some truth to that, but Ron Paul, aren't you being a whole lot disingenuous here? Government damn well sure can protect us ALL from lots of damn bad things, and that's what we all really want government to mainly do, even if you are just too stupid as to actually think that we shouldn't! Ron Paul does think that the military and police should be created by the government to supposedly PROTECT us, don't you, you Republican Texas Turkey? He's got no problem with that, and fund fund fund the cops and soldiers with their guns guns guns is OK OK OK with Ron Paul here! Not any problem at all for this miserable Libertarian ideologue. But come the government passing regulations to protect the environment, the elderly, the sick, the unemployed, the destitute, the small children of the USA, Ron Paul gets all indignant and starts his same ol' Libertarian Turkey mantra all over once again... that 'Government Cannot Protect Us From All Possible Harm yada yada'. And so that pertains to gun controls, too. If we want to all own nukes at home, we shouldn't be kept from doing that because the 'Government Cannot Protect Us From All Possible Harm yada yada'. OK, that's enough about this lame brain Ron Paul. Just thinking about what big ZEROs this guy and his Libertarian Movement buddies are gets me ill in the stomach. They ain't for Freedom and Liberty for common folk. All they care about is the business community when you get down to the nitty gritty of it. Me, I say the business community can go fuck off! Nothing about Liberty and Freedom in the world ahead will be supported by the US small and wanna-be capitalist types. I can even quite easily imagine that Holmes, the Aurora theater shooter, thought of himself somewhat as a 'Libertarian' type of guy. Be aware of when Libertarians go mad! Nothing like A Stupid to really screw things up BIG. Can't wait to see this Big Stupid Ron Paul endorsing Mitt Romney when push comes to shove. What a clown! What a turkey! (Note*** The turkey image at the head of this commentary was pulled from a Libertarian site where they had it as they made fun of Obama for being a 'turkey'. Notice the Afro? hahaha... That's upper middle class Libertarian 'humor' for you...

NATO is training the new police force in counter-revolutionary Libya

Turkey, a member of NATO, is now training the new police force in LIbya for the new counter revolutionary government the US and NATO have established there. 'A total of 817 Libyan police academy students arrived in Istanbul last week to train at the Adile Sadullah Mermerci Police Centre, where they will spend seven and a half months before returning to home to take up police duties.' Turkey Boosts Role in Libya by Training Police.

Western ‘Peace Movement’ sits by in ignorant and stupid silence as NATO assaults Syria via Turkish territory

There is a lot more going on here than Syria just shooting down a Turkish military jet, which is now being used as an excuse to support OVERT US allied military intervention against the Syrian government. In fact, the key COVERT war has been taking place along the Syrian-Turkish border for months with the Syrian city of Idlib being the focal point of that Western attack on the Bashar Assad led Syrian government. Because Idlib is only 10 miles from Turkey,it is where the so-called US/ Nato supplied 'Syrian rebels' have started the war at. (check the location out on google maps) Al jazeera's cheerleading for this war began way back in early march, but this is one bit of info they leaked out in their pro attack Syria propaganda... 'Idlib and its province in the northwest are strategically important because of how close they are to the Turkish border. The Free Syrian Army is based in Turkey and its border is the most likely location for getting arms into Syria.' ...taken from Inside Idlib: Saving Syria ___That's right, the al jazeera- Qatar propagandists talk about this covert war as 'saving Syria'! Will China and Russia draw a hard line against the made by the Pentagon effort to overthrow an ally, the Syrian government. Will they stop the plans for war against Iran, that begin with planned regime change in Syria? We should find out in the next days and definitely within the next couple of weeks. The Obama Adminstration is playing with fire here...NUCLEAR FIRE. So why is the Western 'Peace Movement' sitting by in ignorant and stupid silence right now? Are liberals and the Left opposed to Pentagon made war or not?

The Puppet-Masters and their pet Turkey, double-dealing.

They condemn those of us in America who rebel against their fascist Corporate leadership and presumption of ownership of every aspect of our lives, calling it "Freedom" while their Pig-Slaves break our heads with clubs and plastic bullets. And in the case of Oscar Grant, lead and copper bullets. While cheering rebellions in countries which have denied "deprived" the Poor Little Rich Boys like Halliburton, Exxon-Mobil, British Petroleum, Royal Dutch, Shell, "stolen" their claim to have Corporate Control over their ports and their oil. And they actually finance and organize the so-called "spontaneous" rebellions like in Libya and now, Syria. Never mind they're also paying Other Peoples Money And Lives to put down REAL grass roots movements in Iraq and Afghanistan and Yemen... And Turkey. Turkey is now paying back their Corporate Overlords for the U.S. and NATO PUBLICLY FUNDED Terror War against the Kurds and Albania. The Slave-Caliph Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemns Syria for responding violently to violent attacks while continuing to suppress, with the help of his Puppet Masters in London and Washington, the Kurdish People actually having a right to life. Lick them Pentagon Boots, "caliph" Erdogan. They're your masters and you are their dog. Just like the New Puppet Regime in Libya, and the somewhat more established Puppet Regimes in Tel Aviv, Kabul, and Baghdad. Be the little whipped hound for racist bastards who call you "ragheads" and "sand-niggers" and "muzzle monkeys". You might wear golden chains and a gold collar, but they're still a collar and chain. Just like the Oakland, Denver, Colorado Springs and New York Police departments violently suppressing freedom here, in the very homeland of your puppet-masters and, at their bidding.

Remember the Maine, the Alamo, Pearl Harbor or the day they found WMDs in Iraq?

I remember the day they pretended to have found WMDs. On CNN and FOX there were were reports that an oil refinery outside Baghdad had been liberated by U.S. Marines with WMDs inside. So they brought cameras in... embedded and therefore non-truthful reporters. A dank, dirty place. Oil refineries are like that. A huge stack of bent, rusted and otherwise unsafe 55 gallon drums. They would have been stacked that way to make the trip to the recycling plant. Nobody in his right mind would use one to store even the NORMAL toxic petrochemicals. Then about 30 barrels, unstained by the pollution, the smoke or smog or haze of burnt or vaporized oils, the soot that was caked onto every OTHER surface. Powder Blue paint on them, looked just like they had come directly from wherever they were manufactured. Not like, say, they were a decade old, hidden and moved since 1991. You might ask, "Jonah, how the Hell would you be able to tell that?" to which Jonah might well reply, "Because I worked in steel mills, solvent and glue plants, and oil refineries". They were stacked, actually. Not on pallets and lifted up by crane or forklift. No, STACKED. Fairly neatly. Something you're not going to get any manual laborers to do if they've got anything in them. A full 55 gallon drum weighs almost a quarter of a ton. And then the camera lights glanced rapidly over some black and white letters written on the sides of the drums, not a complete view but you could see that they were in English and tagged for export. Produ of the Unite   Oh my.Anything packaged for export from Iraq would have a lot of Arabic writing, maybe some Pharsi, and maybe some English but this was ALL english. Neither the U.S. nor Britain had shipped anything to Iraq in a decade. Why I remember this so clearly, because they yanked any further mention of it when a very small handful of internet users spotted it. And now, long after Bush and Blair and Brown finally said "Yeah, we faked the WMD story, so what?" an eerily similar cabal is forming to make war on Iran on reports of WMDs. And there are a lot of people willing to just throw out the ol' Hitler Salute and give the lying thieving murderous sons of whores license to lie to them some more. Maybe enough to justify the planned attack just long enough to start committing such attacks. For those whose religious reason for doing it would be to bring on the end of the world, you're really fucking stupid and you're definitely not prepared for Judgment Day.

Iran had ‘preconditions’ for nuclear talks, Great Powers miffed..

Actually Baroness Ashton and other "diplomats" said they were "disappointed". Baroness Ashton led a delegation from France, Germany, Russia, the UK, US and China, at the two-day talks. The international team had proposed a new version of a plan to keep Iranian enrichment within civilian-grade levels by having it send uranium abroad to be processed. But Western diplomatic sources have spoken of anger and frustration over Iran's behavior at the talks. But of course... Arrogantly demanding that one's own nation be accorded the same Sovereign Rights as any other is a privilege accorded to the Great Powers. "Simply EVERYBODY knows THAT, Dah-link" So the Baroness is pissed. GOOD. The Royals got snubbed by Peasants. GOOD. Apparently, unilateral demands should only come from the Empire. Only, since World War One they've shied away from being called that. One of the reasons for the British Crown starting the war was the same with King George V as it was with Elizabeth II, Iranian oil for the Empire. And Iraqi. Only it was under Turkish control at the time, and had to be taken away from Turkish control by force of arms. Arms carried in the arms of Peasants who had to be conscripted or cajoled into doing Their Masters' bidding. So they invented a lie, of course. Happens all the time in Diplomatic Circles, as Wikileaks has recently revealed. Just like Gueen Bess 2 cheerily signing on to the BushBlairCheneyCo. lies about WMDs both in Iraq and Iran, King George V jumped at a chance to pit "his" Imperial Army against those of his cousins in a gigantic game of Risk where the pawns actually scream, bleed and die when gassed, shot or bombed. By telling the Suckers errr "Loyal Subjects Patriots that they, as subjects and property of an Emperor, were to fight Imperialism. "That small nations would have the same rights as the the Great Powers." What a crock of Lying Pig Shit. The Emperors made out like the murdering bandits they were then and still are today. The peasants filled millions of graves. Same as always.

Accounting for IDF missing intelligence

The results of Israel's self-investigation of the Mavi Marmara Massacre are in: surprise, the IDF commandos did no wrong, but were set back by a deficiency of intelligence. It's what many of us were already thinking, but there's another punchline which Israel invites by pairing the deadly raid with IDF "intelligence" assets gone missing. Six passengers of the humanitarian convoy are still unaccounted for. Rumors spread they may have been tossed off the ship, or languish in Israeli detention, but the trouble is, the six are also lacking for anyone missing them. Without friends or families registering concern, the convoy organizers can now deduce that the six were agents of Israel, who elected obviously to stay behind in Israel. Might this be because they were the principal provocateurs brandishing the pipes to give the IDF boarders pretext to fire upon the activists? That would be a "pretext" in hindsight of course, because the record is emerging that the Israeli commandos were firing on the ship well in advance of attempting a boarding party. One of the objectives Israel had in detaining the activists was to prevent their account of the raid from reaching public eyes before the IDF could inundate Youtube with clips of what it planned to pretend had happened. From the video spread round by the IDF, one gets the impression the Israeli soldiers were pummeled to within an inch of their lives. But in reality the soldiers emerged nearly unscathed. Is it possible the pipe-wielders were striking against the deck and serving also to keep the genuine activists at bay? In fact the video footage which the activists succeeded in spiriting past their IDF jailers show the same scene devoid of what Israel described as a "lynch." What may have looked like beatings, from Israel's thermal camera aimed from beside the Marmara, did not register at all from up close. Curiously stealthy choreography. While we look for the incriminating names, here are the US senators and congressmen who've signed on to letters drafted by AIPAC to show their support for Israel's raid on the humanitarian convoy, and to urge President Obama to use the Security Council veto power to block any effort to investigate the killings. Israel “to release the Peace Teams”

Mighty white of them. But wait... There's More The Israeli statement says Foreign Nationals will be released. So any ISRAELI activists aboard the ship must still be facing charges. The Rachel Corrie is next in line to run the blockade.

Christian on Christian Crime Spree, ongoing…

The nationalities of those identified as the hijackers on 9/11... 15 Saudis, 2 UAE, one Lebanese and one Egyptian, all of them U.S. allies in the wars against Iraq and Afghanistan. U.S. and Allied Casualties on D-Day, D-Day, 2499 Verified American dead, 10,000 ALLIED soldiers. Fox (Ministry of Propaganda) puts total at 4000 and as high as 9000. Killed by the "Christian" cultures of Italy and Germany. That doesnt count the French Civilians killed by actions of both sides, nor the Christian Italians and Germans killed by the Christian British, French, Canadian, U.S., Polish, Dutch, Norwegian, Danish, Belgian, just to name the major players. None of the 9/11 hijackers were either Iraqi or Afghan. Saying that a coalition of Saudis attacking the U.S. justifies attacking two countries that Are Not Saudi Arabia would be like saying D-Day justifies an attack on Mexico. Or England. Yet the Right Wing BabyKillers still play the 9/11 card and expect us to eat it up and ask for seconds. Save room for dessert, because it's really sweet. The vast majority of wars in which Christianity as a State Religion was a factor, were wars against Other Christian Nations or Christian subjects of the Same Nation. That includes the infamous Crusades. Our Favorite Mercenaries, admired by Blackwater/Xe as being the epitome of Christian Warriors, Les Chevaliers Templars, Indicted by their Fellow Christians from the Catholic Church for murdering and kidnapping Other Crusaders and that notation was only made because they ran afoul of the French king and his Pet Pope. Richard Couer d'Leon, the "Black Knight" from Ivanhoe and Robin Hood legend, King by right of conquest of England (though he spoke no English) kidnapped twice and killed once by his Fellow Crusaders. And that's just the high-profile case. Seems the Christian Nobility were neither. Christian.. Noble... not a chance. After LOSING their very fat collective Arse to the Turks and Arabs they turned their focus more inward, and just started slaughtering (mostly) Christian subjects in their own kingdoms and those of the neighboring kings. By the logic implied by the 9/11 chanting Murderers, or at least inferred by me, the Christian Blood shed by Christian Warriors over the past 20 centuries means only one thing... That Christianity should enter into a Jihad to wipe ourselves out as an embarrassment to the name of God. Actually, we already do.

It’s a picture worth a thousand ships

At first the story read like diplomatic sensitivities ruffled by no more than your typical office power feng shui: the Turkish ambassador to Israel was not seated at a height commensurate with his host, the flag of his nation was not displayed, the Israeli deputy minister would not shake his hand. Rather it was Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon himself who called the reporters' attentions to the intentional affronts, lest it was not obvious enough from the photograph. To what do the Turks owe Israel's displeasure? Turkey's PM has been criticizing Israel's crimes in Gaza, to no greater degree than has been confirmed by the UN Goldstone Report. Here's to hoping that Turkish pride will answer appropriately. It's been a traditional role of ambassadors to suffer their host's anger at a perceived provocation. Didn't Ivan the Terrible once send emissaries packing after he'd nailed their hats to their heads? Often in less diplomatic times, envoys were beheaded, to usually ruinous result. In modern times, suffering indignity to foreign dignitaries is enough to send your message. But today too, media images have come to have a greater reach across the world. I'm thinking in particular the Muslim populaces. Let's see what kind of posture of subservience Israel can expect of Turkey. Said one Turkish parliamentarian: "The word scandal is not enough to describe this move." And it seems unlikely that Israel will apologize, Ayalon already responding: "In terms of the diplomatic tactics available, this was the minimum that was warranted given the repeated provocations by political and other players in Turkey." Perhaps Israel was emboldened by Egypt's recent display of obedience to the mission of starving Gaza. Israel's violent repression of the people of Gaza is meeting with growing criticism, and perhaps they expect Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to heel dutifully. What might the minimum of responses be from Turkey, given the sway the US holds over its actions, in light too of its aspiration to rise through the EU? With Egypt's intention to fortify its Gaza border to curtail tunneling, and its announcement to permit no further aid from reaching the besieged Palestinians, the path remains only for someone to reach Gaza by sea. I'm hoping it will be the Turks. Why couldn't a Sea Shepherd Conservation Society type flotilla mount a seaborne rescue of Gaza? I'd bet televising such an adventure would find a bigger audience than Whale Wars. Aid groups have been trying, with sporadic success, to breach Israel's naval blockade of the Gaza coast. Perhaps it's time for a nation to lend some military vessels to the task. Why not? The United Nations considers Israel's embargo of Gaza to be illegal. Why shouldn't a local power sail right before the Israeli warships to escort relief supplies to the Gazans? Let's see whose ships will look down on whose. UPDATE: Here it is, the Free Gaza Movement is putting together a flotilla!

a respectable bird

"For my own part I wish the Bald Eagle had not been chosen the Representative of our Country. He is a Bird of bad moral Character. He does not get his Living honestly. You may have seen him perched on some dead Tree near the River, where, too lazy to fish for himself, he watches the Labour of the Fishing Hawk; and when that diligent Bird has at length taken a Fish, and is bearing it to his Nest for the Support of his Mate and young Ones, the Bald Eagle pursues him and takes it from him. With all this Injustice, he is never in good Case but like those among Men who live by Sharping and Robbing he is generally poor and often very lousy. Besides he is a rank Coward: the little King Bird not bigger than a Sparrow attacks him boldly and drives him out of the District. He is therefore by no means a proper Emblem for the brave and honest Cincinnati of America who have driven all the King birds from our Country. I am on this account not displeased that the Figure is not known as a Bald Eagle, but looks more like a Turkey. For the Truth the Turkey is in Comparison a much more respectable Bird, and withal a true original Native of America. He is besides, though a little vain and silly, a Bird of Courage, and would not hesitate to attack a Grenadier of the British Guards who should presume to invade his Farm Yard with a red Coat on." --Ben Franklin in a letter to his daughter

Top Gun was feeling “sheepish”

Because he was having a Baaaaaaaad day.  That's the "Humorous" anecdote related to me by two Air Force sergeants who were laughing it up over the Air Force murdering at least one Kurdish civilian in 2000. Ha ha, really damn funny. This goes along with the claims made by the Air Force Murderers who unleash the Predator drones that their weapons don't actually target Civilians. They LIE as well as murder. In the attack on the Kurdish shepherd, the Air Force pilot with all the imaging equipment, computerized targeting, etc etc... Couldn't tell the difference between heavily armed "insurgents" and a flock of Sheep. Almost in defense of the two USAF sergeants who related this to me, they believed the Pilots assertions that no humans died in the Holocaust he rained down on the Flock of Sheep... and their human shepherd or shepherds. Because domestic sheep always have shepherds. That would be the Pilot who, by his own admission, couldn't tell the difference between Human and Sheep in the first place. Even using all his High Tech Murder Machinery. The Pilot was "patrolling" the Northern No-Fly Zone of Iraq from an airbase in Turkey. and allegedly to protect the Kurds from the Iraqi Army. The U.S. Military already had a record of assisting their Loyal Turkish Allies in their extermination campaign against the Kurds. Nothing changed with this incident. Even with Regime Change in Russia and Iraq and America, nothing substantially changed It kind of gets glossed over in Warmongering Propaganda like that served up by Fox News and The Colorado Springs Gazette, especially the part about some of these operations being conducted jointly between the Turks... and the Soviet Union, Iran and Iraq. The Air Support provided by the U.S.A.F in this genocidal campaign, of course, doesn't make them accomplices. Of course. I had published this earlier but given the Jingoistic Bullshit we're being subjected to not daily but Hourly it seems like a good time to unpack this once more. "Operation Iraqi Freedom" in a Pig's Ass.

Holding Iraq down for others to kick it

It's been repeated we cannot pull US forces out of Iraq before we have established an Iraq military with which the Iraqis can defend themselves. Not a police force, not a constabulary or carabinieri, but a veritable army to defend Iraq against its neighbors. Unless we're talking about Turkey. It did sound surreal the first time they made the case, didn't it? The US expends all that ordnance to destroy the Iraqi army, then we claim to need to build it up again. But Iraq has enemies besides just us, we're told, so fair enough, we'll defend them until they can do it themselves. But that doesn't apply to Turkey. Apparently, the US, and the Iraqi Puppet military role with respect to the Iraqi northern neighbor of Turkey, is to hold the region open to surgical strikes on select Iraqi malcontents. The Turkish incursions have the same elements of Israel's excursions into Lebanon. They are facilitated by the US. These extra-judicial posses, lynch mobs I suppose you could call them, are like the raids General Pershing used to conduct into Mexico in search of Poncho Villa. Complete violations of another nation's autonomy. The US provides the equipment, the intelligence, often with advisors, and the diplomatic cover. When international outrage reaches critical mass, the US finally relents and expresses its concern that the offender show proper restraint. In Israel's case, the US withheld its admonitions like an old man who'd lost his hearing aid. Watch if the same is not happening with Turkey. Turkey's beef with Iraq has to do with the longstanding effort on the part of the Kurdish minorities in Iraq, Iran and Turkey to call for an independent Kurdistan. Turkey does not want to lose its mountainous regions to the Kurds, and has suppressed its own Kurds by even criminal means. Turkey resists admitting responsibility for the Armenia Genocide lest comparisons be drawn to how it has been resolving its Kurdish problem. Turkish General Haldun Solmazturk describes the latest Turkish incursion into Iraq on Voice of America as having dealt a blow to the PKK, the faction in the highlands of Iraq and Turkey which is fighting for Kurdish independence. "Fatal would be too much to describe the potential effect," he said. "But it would be a major blow. Because in any conflict you do not fight the people, you fight the minds and wills of the people. Such an operation will be a major blow on the will of the people."

Mini AIPAC- The American Turkish Council and its connections with Lockheed

The story begins with Sibel Edmonds, a Turkish translator fired from the FBI after one year of work. She is now being defended by the American Civil Liberties Union as a whistle blower who was unjustly retaliated against for doing her job. An interesting case for sure. But even more interesting is the peephole that her case has opened into the shady doings of The American Turkish Council which has been termed the 'Mini AIPAC' due to its similarities with AIPAC, the Israeli 'lobbying' machine. Here in a long commentary, 'The Highjacking of a Nation', Sibel Edmonds talks the truth about what she call The True Lords of Afghanistan's Poppy Fields, which would be Turkey. It turns out that Turkey's government is a key US governmental regional ally, human rights abuser, and world class smuggler in drugs and material for nuclear weaponry, which Edmonds comments on well. The country hosts numerous US military personnel, and sits astride Europe, Asia, and Africa. Of particular interest to the US government, is the opening into regions of the former Soviet Union, where Turkish language group populations predominate, that alliance with a barbaric and corrupt Turkish government provides. And the story gets worse, when Edmonds connects up The American Turkish Council with American big wigs and companies like Lockheed, whose corporate officers sit on that council. Now we can begin to see why Sibel Edmonds was such an unfortunate worker to have at the FBI in so many eyes. Translate, but shut up is how they wanted it, but she did not oblige. She became a dangerous person to have around, so that most probably got her fired. Corruption does like to work in secret, and Sibel Edmonds was not about to let things just lie.
