“You don’t want the hassle of saving money”

This according to a commercial for some sound system. You’re hit with the double whammy that you’re worth less (worthless?) as a human being if you don’t listen to your Televised Crap in high definition Sound. I have an Idea for a video, problem being that it won’t fit on youtube or for that matter any other video hosting.. take a super-hi-def picture of a cowpie. Pan it slowly out until it becomes “pixelated”. Start recording and reverse the process. At the end put in the caption, “Bullshit in Hi-definition is still Bullshit”.

But there’s more… if you don’t have the best quality stereo surround sound at 300 dollars coming from your television then you’re missing out, you have to go out and spend what’s a week and a half pay for a Minimum Wage earner on speakers. Or you’re a LOSER, you SUCK as a person, and worst of all, you’ll never get laid. (News flash, in case you want to think about it, the poorest people in the world get laid, A LOT… That’s why there’s so many of us)

But there’s more… according to the blurb… “Most people don’t want the hassle of setting it up”. Huh. So like if I can save a weeks pay, and only spend 40 bux instead of nearly a third of a Grand on a STEREO… merely by putting it together myself, meaning, plugging in the wires, then I must Suck, because MOST people don’t want to save money through a small bit of manual labor.

Since MOST people even in America are Poor, I think, you know, just maybe, they Didn’t Even Ask MOST People what we feel about it. I know they never asked me, or for that matter anybody I ever met. How they get MOST people out of what must be a really really limited survey…. Oh, that’s right, they just pulled it out of their collective rectal orifice.

If they DID ever do a survey of it, it would be one of those “Push” polls, where they ask completely fair and balanced questions like “Would you rather be hassled or not”. By the way, this is partly a rant against being treated like we (meaning ME) are Stupid.

And partly a serious question about the whole nature of the Politico-Relgiio-Economic movement of Consumerism. Greed is good, right? More stitches, less riches. A Gramme is better than a Damn.
