“Christian” sniper scopes.

The maker of the Trijicon ACOG gun sight states on its website: “We believe that America is great when its people are good. This goodness has been based on biblical standards throughout our history and we will strive to follow those morals.”

Yeah, “morals” like killing the babies at Sand Creek and the Little Ouachita… real strong Christianity there. Or murdering somebody from a mile away with a high powered rifle and a well made scope. Whose Head Would Jesus Blow Off?

Military Religious Freedom Foundation president Mikey Weinstein says the inscriptions could give the Taliban and other enemy forces a propaganda tool.

“I don’t have to wonder for a nanosecond how the American public would react if citations from the Koran were being inscribed onto these US armed forces gunsights instead of New Testament citations.”

Indeed. Those who argue that Islam is a hate-based religion, what are they saying about it? Oh, that’s right, they’re saying that every murder committed by the U.S. is sanctioned by God. Real “love” there.

Tip for the company, stop making enemies for Christ.

That’s what one of my pastors said a long time ago (he’s gone on now)
Nothing inflames the Holy Wars quite as much as people using Gods many names as their excuse. Somebody from one sect takes up the sword, and the thing people are going to remember about his sect are what he teaches by the edge of that sword.

I didn’t follow the link, if the company is Local. I snarfed the story from the BBC. It would be a great use for that Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin banner.

  3. Avatar Brother Jonah says:

Nope, not local. But then there’s THIS…

Trijicon products are subject to export controls administered by the U.S. Department of Commerce or U.S. Department of State
and require an export license to be shipped outside of the United States. Export or re-export without prior authorization from the U.S. Government is prohibited.

Please contact the Trijicon Export Compliance Team (exportcompliance@trijicon.com) for additional information.

Since they export it to the middle of the nations they say “thou shalt not have” to….

Kind of like the Stinger Missiles. You know, there’s quite a few still unaccounted for. I bet one would have the wherewithal to take down a drone or two.

Which leads to another thing, fat chance the Pentagon would tell US about it, but what if the Taliban or al Qa’eda did have a captured drone or two?

I know, if they had one or two gone missing they wouldn’t want the Other Side knowing they were missing… although… since there’s not many who would be able to hunt one of them down, and they either work for Us or Them, right? They would already know if They had one of them. “our” allies would know too. The only people who Wouldn’t Know would be those of us who bought them for “our” Air Force.

Seems “our” country isn’t really. Even though We paid for it.

Whoever wrote this article is straight up dumb. I think u forgot what kept this nation FREE.. and sadly thats war. Its reality. Not fuzzy caterpillars and Marshmallows. A bible verse on the side of a scope is simply a tradition the company did. Thats it. U need to stop watching the news to get your info. Sure ppl will get murdered in places like this, thats what happens when millions of ppl rotate in and out of warzones, But you cant categorize the many by the actions of the few. using that logic all Americans are Timothy Mcveigh’s.. shut up and go thank a vet that your alive and speaking English.

  6. Avatar Brother Jonah says:

Free to post your Babykiller Propaganda here.

Free for Us to be beaten in the streets for speaking our minds.
Free to spend a couple of weeks in jail for some Chickenshit Chickenhawks on a being cowards and calling the Pigs on a REAL Man for possession of books.

I also speak French an Spanish and I’m learning a tongue your army tried to stamp out. Cherokee.

You no likey, me no givey fuck.
Expect me and every other American to finance your Corporate Masters conquering other nations and killing anybody who objects? Not happening, buddy.

The Bible verse on the scope is a tradition of who, exactly? A company that makes MONEY from Death. From KILLING.

The Crusaders prayed at the “cross” of their sword hilts, most of them didn’t read or write so they didn’t inscribe their blades.

The German soldiers in the Franco-Prussian war and the First World war wrote “Gott mit Uns” on their blades, on their bayonets and trench knives, and in WW1 screamed it as they were making massed bayonet charges against water cooled belt fed machine guns, and the British conscripts did the same, screaming “God and King!” That didn’t make their actions good or noble or anything but futile, meaningless killing and being killed, for the benefit of War Profiteers just like the assholes who make your gunsight.

Saying you’re killing for God is nothing short of blasphemy.

But I’m supposed to “shut up” about it? Not Bloody Likely.

Speaking English, well, the Irish people have that “right” too. Given to them by the “Christian” English kings who held the land in slavery for 400 years. And forbidding them to speak Gaelic. Thank you so very much for the gift of your “Superior” english language and civilization. Am I supposed to kiss your arse for that? My French ancestors were in this country about 70 years before the English showed up and started taking over the management. Some of my French relatives in Louisiana still speak 16th century French. Some of them in TEXAS too. Some of my Cherokee relatives speak Cherokee, and read it and write it far more fluently than your command of the English Language.

If you’re going to make English a point of contention then perhaps you should learn it more thoroughly than I have, then come and criticize. How many languages do YOU speak? It seems you don’t even speak English very well.

    Perhaps I’m wrong but I don’t think I am.

Oh, too, maybe you should go to the Lakota or Cheyenne or Hopi or Navajo or Jicarilla, Chiricahua, Mescalaro reservations and tell them to speak English. Some of your Klan Komrades already DO. Just, you know, not to their faces. There’s even a large herd of Jackasses who believe that people shouldn’t speak any language other than English anywhere in the United States, even in private conversations in the home. They say it’s “our” language. How so? BECAUSE THE ENGLISH ARMIES, UNDER THE “AMERICAN” FLAG, CONQUERED US?

You stupid bastards haven’t even conquered America, how do you think you should be entrusted to run the rest of the world as well?

And, sir, I said that. I’ll not grovel to your so-called “superior civilization”. What will YOU do about that?

But I’m supposed to “thank” you and your Army for exterminating 90% of the population of Pre-English America.

  7. Eric Eric says:

With apologies to my friends who are vets, and who have rightly chosen to speak out against these wars, I address all the rest: Go fuck yourselves. You go kill innocent civilians then come back with PTSD and create problems for us at home. WE begged you not to be part of illegal wars, we asked you not to give yourselves over to the killing machine that would kill your soul as well, but you waved your flags, marched into battle, and now you return and presume we should thank you for your service. God damn you moronic bastards! The only thing keeping this country free is political dissent.

If you learned anything in boot camp, it was that you are ignorant fuck-ups with no mind of your own. You’ve dug your foxhole, now lie in it. You’ve contributed to the destruction of so many lives. You couldn’t open your mouth to object then, kindly zip it forevermore. Goddamn murderers.

  8. Avatar Straight shooter says:

These men are dying for your right to insult them. Please, say whatever you like in whatever language you like. That’s the freedom our enemies hate badly enough to kill more than 3000 of us on one day. Correct me if I’m wrong, but your grande ol’ Cherokee nation wouldn’t sit back and insult it’s warriors after an enemy raiding party killed that many members of your tribe. They would act in defense and retaliation to both eradicate the enemy and make sure every other tribe knew what was coming if they attacked you. I have the deepest respect for Native Americans. I myself have a large percentage of Blackfoot ancestry. The truth is that no matter your ancestry, no matter your beliefs, no matter your opinions, you live in the land these soldiers die to protect. If you want to blame someone, blame the commander in chief who orders them. These men and women are doing their duty to defend and improve this land. They accomplish more than your hate filled blogs ever will. You people look for things to curse and complain about. You have no intentions of fixing anything, just sitting in your online country clubs whining. DO SOMETHING or shut your mouth.

  9. Avatar Brother Jonah says:

I’m not shutting my mouth, what do you intend to do about it?
The Iraqi people had nothing at all to do with 9/11 and neither did their leaders. You’re not MY warriors. I don’t own you, you don’t own me. Got That Straight?

Killing people for the profit of the Oil Company owners and saying it’s fighting for my freedom is just a God-Damned (literally) Lie. Telling people that you’re doing it in the name of God is another Lie.

You don’t like that too bad. You’re not fighting for us any more than you’re fighting FOR the Iraqi or Afghan people.

If it makes you feel better to deny that you’re wasting your life and those of your Conquered Victims, that is also too bad.
I won’t LIE to you and tell you that you’re doing me, America, or God a service. You’re killing people, ending their lives. For those soldiers who pretend to be Christian, that would mean you’re killing people who are condemned, by some churches, to the eternal fires of Hell.

Did you get that? You’re saying that you personally or as a group have the right to condemn People to Hell.

Your “leaders” never went to war either, they’re content to Lie to other people and send them into the meat-grinder. They and their families before them have been doing it for a very long time. The Bush and Cheney families (and Cheney is my cousin by marriage, but that happened before I was born so I’m not taking the blame), before they started stealing from Afghanistan and Iraq, stole from Americans, killed AMERICANS for their Oil.

The Bush family was laundering money for Hitler before and even AFTER the German navy sank the Reuben James, an American Merchant ship, in American Waters, BEFORE Pearl Harbor. That sounds like ancient history, right? Only the Bush Family is still spending that money, money that’s stained with the blood of every soldier who died in World War 2, “ours” and “theirs”. Before that they made money from the Slave Trade, and they still spend THAT money too.

These are the “godly” so-called “men” who sent you and your comrades to war. And they’re making a profit off THAT as well. I would be shocked if proof came out that they DON’T collectively own stock in the companies that provide Coffins and Body Bags to the Army.

Yet you expect me to believe that they sent YOU to war for anybody’s “freedom”?

I’m not going to believe that. And I’m not going to join THEM in lying to the people they sent to Their War Of Profit and telling them that they actually killed and their comrades DIED for ANY reason other than the profits of the Coward ChickenHawk Bastards who sent YOU to kill and die in their place.

To join into that chorus of praise for your “mission” would be far more disrespectful of you than anything anybody says against your “mission”.

The U.S. Military hasn’t fought for American or anybody else’s Freedom in my entire lifetime, and I turn 50 this year.

And I won’t disrespect you by presuming that you’re stupid enough to believe those lies.
Start asking the Serious Questions rather than recycling the “love it or leave it” and “my country, right or wrong” hogwash.

  10. Avatar Brother Jonah says:

One other thing, telling people to “shut up” when you don’t have the power to back up whatever threat is implied behind such a command, that’s really weak.

If you can’t back up such a threat, then By God you would be far better off learning not to make them.

Your Army has made people “shut up” in Iraq and Afghanistan… and in America. Not just in past wars, but this one as well. Is that the “freedom” you’re babbling about?

If you’re an honest man, then you’ll profit from such a rebuke. If you’re not it condemns you.
Either way, it’s MY patriotic duty to rebuke those who dishonor America and my religious duty to rebuke those who dishonor the name of God by killing people, for the profit of the very richest corporations in the WORLD and then claiming it’s to defend America or defend God…

By the way, the Corporations who make money off YOUR blood as well as those whose blood you shed in Iraq and Afghanistan, includes the so-called Christian so-called “patriots” who make that gunsight.

Yet you choose to rebuke me for pointing that out.

Some “freedom” you’re defending there, Chum.

  11. Avatar patchsl says:

    Dear Straight shooter;

    Well said.

    Dear Eric;

Do you kiss your children with that mouth? YIKES!

  12. So the Corporations have the Right to send people like Straight off to kill for their profit, and concurrently we have a Duty to “shut up” about it?

The Sniper Scope manufacturers have a legal SECULAR right to sell their blasphemous murder weapons to whoever they want… Except, dag nab that ol’ First Amendment… they don’t have a legal right to sell it to the U.S. government.

The U.S. Government is rightly prohibited from buying them, too.
Then there’s a RELIGIOUS issue you apparently missed, Patch.

For which I can only warn them, and for which God will condemn the manufacturers AND the users of those Murder Weapons. It breaks a good half the commandments directly, and if they sell them or use them on Saturday that’s just one more.
    Having other gods before YHWH.
Making graven Images, literally on the scopes, and literally on the Blood Money they get for them.
    The Sixth, killing, Nuff Said.
    Thou shalt not Steal,
Bearing False witness, like LYING and saying that Iraq had WMDs, or that either Iraq or Afghanistan were to blame for 9/11.
Taking God’s Name in vain, calling themselves by a variant of His Name, Christian, in order to lie, murder, steal, and worship the Graven Images in front of (before) His very eyes.

They don’t defend America, they’re not fighting for freedom either here or in Afghanistan, if they say they’re fighting to avenge 9/11 then they lie.

Saying that they don’t lie, won’t make their Lies into Truth.
But go ahead, Patch. Stoke the fires of hatred. Tell the Deluded Ones that they’re actually fighting for God and good and Freedom.

Lie to them. It is, after all, your way.

  13. Avatar Brother Jonah says:

Incidentally, Straight, the Muskogee nations, including and especially the Tsalagi (cherokee) used the superior technology they had to build a mostly agrarian and manufacturing economy.
Weaving cloth, for instance. Obsidian knives and tools. METAL tools. Cargo boats. Towns. Stuff the other nations didn’t have and traded for.

Not Raiding Parties. Try not to confuse the issue when playing the Indian Card with me, ok? By the way, even the word “ok” is a Muskogeean word.

We had a teacher, and lawyer, (not a warrior) named Sikawi. You’re more familiar with the French spelling of it, Sequoia, who preserved the language by developing a syllabary. Not quite an alphabet, Tsalagi words (and it’s used in many other languages) are written exactly as they’re pronounced and pronounced exactly as they’re written.

It’s one reason that people from other tribes, like the Blackfeet, actually still have their languages. And their culture.

Assuming that Cherokee and Blackfeet cultures are common or even very similar is every bit as mistaken as saying that Spain is part of England.

Or that the 15 Saudis, 2 UAE, 1 Egyptian and 1 Lebanese persons to whom 9/11 is attributed have the same culture as Afghans and Iraqis.
The American Civil War was fought between mostly Christians and killed a half million Americans. Do we avenge that by attacking Norway?

  14. Avatar Straight shooter says:

I may have missed something, but I didn’t seem to hear a direct response to my main comments. No, the war in Iraq dies not have a direct link to 9/11. You are quite observant in that respect. I was talking about Afghanistan and the terrorists that take refuge there as they plot to kill our civilians (someone mentioned baby killers?). I will give you the fact that Iraq is an undesirable situation in which we either do not have or have not been given all the information. Few in the world hold all the info on certain subjects such as war. I acknowledge my ignorance on this specific subject and will not throw by baseless opinions and hateful remarks

  15. Avatar Straight shooter says:

I don’t have the facts and will not subject people to an abrasive stance until I do. More information always has the power to change a mind. My comments and opinions are based solely on the facts as I interpret them. that is why I go by the name straight shooter. I also will not throw hateful insults; nothing beneficially good can come of hatred.

At the age of 50, you must certainly understand that most disagreements are stemmed from lack of communication and misinformation. The rest and most controversial are from legitimatly opposing views. I believe everyone can come to the agreement that war is undesirable but sometimes neccessary. It is up to those who hold the power and information to decide whether it is right at the time or not. I do not hold either, so I cannot speculate on Iraq. Ourself-defense after 9/11 is another matter though. We were attacked.

I honestly do not know much about my Blackfoot heritage, but I do know a loyalty to one’s own people. I was making my statement based on your heritage so that it would come across as a universal understanding of loyalty and defense of one’s own people. Like I said, I have no disrespect for any native anerican people, and do not wish my comments to be misunderstood as an attack or insult to any certain group.

I do not expect you to shut your mouth. I just was saying that this deliberation is not helping either side of the issue as a whole and it is better to act instead of slinging insults. I apologize for the anger in that statement.

My point is that our troops (whether you agree with the war or not) are not crusaders, profiteers, or murderers. They are most certainly not baby killers. They enlisted for the sole purpose of protecting you from this nation’s enemies. It doesn’t matter what has happened centuries ago or even decades ago, the soldiers today are a new generation and should not be judged by the actions and ideals of their predecesors. They are facing bullets from the front for you already, they don’t need a knife in the back.

I’m sorry for what happened at wounded knee, Korea, vietnam, and the list goes on, but it wasn’t my or our current soldiers’ fault. Those at fault are either dead or out of office by now. We are never to move ahaid as long as we focus on the mistakes of our past.
