How Does It Feel?

So I’ve been letting this ferment for about a week. Good Morning America had a session about “Money in Your Closet” which wasn’t aimed to the vast majority of Americans who make substantially less than “Average Income”. How to sell your “old, broken or unwanted gold” was part of it, the one Case In Point they had to demonstrate it had about 7800 bucks worth of jewelry. And her old clothes on top of it, designer label, hand-tailored and I really can’t think of the right word for it, Tailors are more for Mens clothing while milliners do it for Womens clothes. Said she “used to be” Corporate but now she’s left Corporate and is an “entrepreneur”. That’s Corporate-speak for “unemployed”.
They left her with high hopes that she’d be able to sell her clothes for another 7 grand. ummm… used clothes selling for how much?
People who know me will readily tell you that I have absolutely no fashion sense My last ten clothing purchases have been on the level of a maximum of $2 per item. So perhaps I’m not the one to judge about how much money used clothes can fetch when people are willing to pay the max.

In any case… I think she was just a bit giddy with delusions that the clothes and jewelry could buy her another month rent before she has to leave her apartment.

But, that’s the nature of Vulture Capitalism.
