Maybe I’m being judgmental or something, but I get this really powerful feeling that if the rapture happens today then nobody would notice. The people who are so very sure they’re on the list will still be waiting. Maybe counting on making a fortune in the Looting Market would be kind of a mistake. And, given how Jesus talked about rich folks, I wouldn’t go counting on a recently depopulated mansion or any luxury cars being suddenly made available. And I don’t think that we could get rid of Pat Robertson or Dobson that easily. In fact I don’t think the City of Colorado Springs would be much affected by Rapture. Just, you know, sayin’ is all.

The last rapture I saw actually take place was when Obomber man got elected. God religious faithful are way too damn much for us to ever take seriously!
They had a Wreligious Wrong war-ship service for GW last month at the Broadmoor.
Other homonyms for it include “Whore-ship”.
Disdaining people to the point that you “don’t take them seriously” is a habit that you could, if you wanted, change a little bit.
It’s what the Elitists who insist that there’s nothing the People can do either individual or aggregate to change anything about social and economic conditions.
If you’d care to envision something positive in re: Social Evolution, consider that now, as opposed to 2000 years ago, crucifixion, burning at the stake and stoning people are usually considered aberrations.
With some societies flipping smooth out and reverting, en masse, to behavior like War, often against their own people.
The positive side of that is that people CAN actually overcome it, at least on an individual level.
Of course it involves resisting the urge to trivialize people as “not to be taken seriously” based on their religious beliefs.
Which, you notice, is one of the big issues the Wreligious Wrong use to incite mass murders of other Religious Persons in other nations.
God Bless Everybody, no exceptions.
And taking people seriously when they’re both behaving irrationally and also heavily armed in large groups is a safety measure God built into our brains long ago.
“In case of rapture can I have your wife?” It can go on forever.
