Here’s another take: We had a senile B-movie actor who was so eaten up with Alzheimers dementia that he actually believed that he was a war hero even though he had never served in the military… with his paws on the keys to Nuclear Hell. Replaced by a professional liar named George HW Bush, between the both of them made the declaration that the U.S., which has more nukes and, incidentally, more chemical and biological weapons than the rest of the world COMBINED and has the record of being the only nation on earth to have used all three classes of WMDs in war AND are the only government which has used both biological (smallpox) and chemical weapons against Americans… had the sole discretion to declare war including the use of WMDs against any country on earth.
Their disciples still call that “nationalism” only, nationalism by definition has a built in recognition of the sovereignty of every other nation, even and especially those who don’t have a chance of taking on the “Great Powers” in full-out war. Nations like Iraq and North Korea. National sovereignty for only one nation and its Vassal States (Britain, South Korea, Taiwan, the New Iraq, Israel and all the other puppet dictatorships) is properly called “Imperialism”.
Then throw in a recent Regime nominally headed by GHW Bush’s retarded son and namesake, also a chickenhawk, and a whole slew of right wing lunatics who believe that God, Himself, gave them a mandate to either conquer the entire world or burn it to a cinder.
I’d suspect that even with the Right Wing Puppet News organizations like Fox and KOAA and the Gazette having given themselves the authority to speak for “the entire world”, most of the world would be more worried that the U.S. will start another unprovoked war of conquest and subsequently destroy the entire world.
It’s not like they haven’t given themselves the Might Makes Right “authority” to do so.
