You know, when people get shot at, they tend to shoot back…

Out of all the emotions one could feel or as a herd, millions of someones could feel, “shock” at the return fire offered unto a Chinook helicopter would be about the least appropriate. Or that the return fire being somehow unprovoked, since the flying can of SEALS were being sent in as reinforcements for an assassination mission. Certainly the description of it being an attack on the SEALS rather than the defense of “the other way round” was more than slightly uncalled for.
What, are we to describe it as a War or more like a one-sided organized slaughter? How much Shock and Awe, Might Makes Right, Oderint dum Metuant propaganda are we supposed to take? We get to slaughter They with high tech superior firepower by the dozens and scores but if They fight back They are Terrorists?

That we need do naught but flex our Mighty Muscles and they should bow down before us, bowing and cringing and apologizing for daring to believe they are our equals or we, theirs?

In the Graveyard of Empires, being held as their equals would be an high historic honor.
