Why ‘splash’ flicks are so popular…

you know, the ones parodied by “Buckets of Blood”. Each scene worse than the one before. There’s a remake or sequel for The Ring, a charming story of a child tossed down a well more than a century before, yeah, that one. And one called “Cure for Wellness”. And, well, you can ‘and’ for a seemingly endless time. But it’s a back-asswards way to escape. People are in a dismal mood and want for some reason to see something worse than real life. The reason it’s going down a spiral to Hell. When you put that into your brain you make an affirmation. What you confess with your mouth you … well, you get what you ask. You’re affirming that reality is going to get worse just as surely as the movies. A lot of people believe in visualization and a lot of them believe it’s evil magic. And it distracts your normal sane actions like, oh, when something really crappy is happening, the best thing to do is try to fix it. Make it better. Escape through the power of dreams, yeah, but leave us not forget that nightmares are dreams too. I know that right after 9-11 (I do recycling whenever I’m healthy enough) Americans slowed way down on their relative consumption of canned beer. Went straight to bottled everything. Why? because the perception was that America had gotten it’ s collective ass kicked. Well, the entire history of European conquest has been one long ass-kicking. The difference is how you personally define “america”

Every time the Capitalist Fascism Factory gains anything it’s at the expense of everybody else involved. It’s a predatory relationship.

The first step to resolving any problem is to recognize that it IS a problem..Then make strategies to end the problem. Fixing Capital isn’t going to work. Going back to the conformist state of the middle of the twentieth century isn’t going to work. Rewind the long series of failed policies and hope that will fix everything, you know, repeating the failed past? Give America Back, right? There are better ways to manage resources. You can tell which ones there are by the extraordinarily expensive and violent reactions from the Capitalist Overlords when they were implemented. Capitalism can’t compete with other economic and social systems, not on a level playing field. Instead it has been implemented and maintained by violence against any other system. Undermining those economies to prop up “ours”.

And face it, if you ain’t a billionaire you ain’t benefiting from Capitalism. Stop groveling to the big pigs. Begging them for the crumbs they drop from their table.
