  1. So, you know, after 12 years since her husband died from Agent Orange, she’s finally getting her full health benefits as a War Widow.

The bit about the Blackwater Goons or whichever private army the Air Force has granted the contract for policing Peterson AFB, when they threatened to arrest her under the PATRIOT ACT is irony almost beyond belief. (the thugs only had paramilitary uniforms with no unit identification, no insignia and more importantly, no rank or name tags.

It begs the question, why wouldn’t Blackwater and the other War profiteers simply have declared War on Iraq themselves?

Answer; the ‘us’ as in ‘we’ government at the time had deep pockets they hadn’t thoroughly looted yet.

So we once again had a Public Resource, with a nod to Eric’s note about Private Companies making Public Policy…

A Public Resource, the “defense” department, being given, outright, to the Corporate Pirates.

They’re also getting a lot of contracts for VA care, and that’s disturbing on many many levels.

Their greedy little eyes being on the Social Security Trust Fund like the attention of a pack of starving wolves on a pork chop… and having almost enough politicians willing to give it to them…

After all, WaMu and BankU and all the other Thieves know how to manage money better than us Commoners, right? Just ask the people who had their funds invested in Enron.

For right now, personally, I’m ready to rejoice and first thing Monday go doctor shopping. Get her some quality health care like she deserves.
