This is a heart-wrenching and tragic occurence of war. Hopefully, the ceasefire will hold for a lengthy period of time and Palestinians can rebuild lives destroyed by this unfortunate war.

Israel built itself into one of the most advanced states from a wretched desert and swampland. My friend’s family in Israel recently sold their high-tech company to Warren Buffet for billions of dollars, which is indicative of what Israel has built. I have a great admiration for the Israelis for what they have built and wish the Arab states would emulate Israel’s success instead of just relying on oil revenue. As for being “destroyers”, it was the Palestinians who destroyed the greenhouses left behind by the Israelis who built them. If the Palestinians were smart, and I know they are, they would put down their suicide vests and learn from the Israelis how to build businesses and advanced universities and research labs rather than building bombs.

My country? I currently live in America, where the vast majority of people support the right of Israel to exist safely and securely. Just what country do you live in where such hatred and anti-Semtism is fomented? The facts about Israel and her neighbors say the opposite of what you say. Perhaps you need to get updated. Israel has a peace pact with the PLO and Palestinians in the West Bank. Israel has signed peace treaties with Egypt and Jordan and has been having ongoing peace negotiations with Syria. Israel has peaceful relations with a number of Gulf States, such as Oman and Qatar, and with North African Arab states in Morocco, Mauritania, and Tunisia. Maybe YOU don’t want to see peace in the ME, but, maybe you are not at peace with yourself, either.
