Thinking about the Tea Party Poor:
“Socialism never took root in America because the poor see themselves not as an exploited proletariat but as temporarily embarrassed millionaires.” — John Steinbeck
Think our judicial system is broke? It is, but not because it gave young Bad Mom Casey Anthony a chasmic benefit of the doubt. It’s broken because of Walmart, Citizens United, and all the corporatist, anti-democratic rulings that guarantee that ordinary Americans no longer have recourse in the courts.

A murder trial makes the headlines – but stories about the unemployed and the homeless does not concern anyone.
So we have to keep telling it.
The TeaBags murdered 6 in Tucson, but their real Anti-American terrorism lies in the numbers, more than a separate 9/11 every two weeks (by conservative estimates) slaughtered by denial of health care.
Saying it happens all the time doesn’t make it right.
But for some reason that’s the ONLY explanation or excuse we’re given.
