Here was the original headline: Unidentified shooter kills one, wounds fifteen at a Montreal college, before being killed by a surfeit of policemen who were at the campus on an unrelated matter. If nothing was yet known of the shooter’s identity or purpose, how could reporters know the high concentration of policemen was unrelated?
