A nasty little thought…

The Army is calling up 13,000 National Guard soldiers to Iraq.

I thought the “surge’ was supposed to be 20,000? Somebody’s not doing his math, or maybe the BigPigs are just LYING to us…

but that’s not the nasty little thought, although it swims around the edges of the Nasty Little Thought…

The National Guard, don’t the States have to pay for a significant part of their expenses, and the Federal Government therefore doesn’t pay all?

Wouldn’t that kind of “shoot skates under” the cap on war spending in Congress?

Because even though the individual states are required to pay for it, the Guard is ultimately under the command of the President….

  1. That 13K would of course be added to the number already Surged over to Iraq…

Which is going to make it larger than the 20 thousand predicted…

But of course, Georgie Boy would never ever ever no not in a million years ever LIE to us… of course…
