There we go again with the extremely destructive ultra-Left comparisons of Jewish Israelis with Nazis. While I am disgusted with the bloody and murderous attacks on Palestinians by the Israeli government, I am also disgusted with these counter-productive comparisons of the Jews to German Nazis on this blog by fellow writers here.
Thomas, you and Eric have little political argument justifying this sort of rhetoric and instead Eric has resorted merely to accusing me of personally attacking you when in fact that is not the case at all. In fact this form of response to my concerns about this Nazi-baiting by you two, is personalizing an attack against me instead of responding politically to the argument that calling Zionists Nazis is irresponsible in the extreme.
What gives you two the belief that it is the correct thing to do to call one grouping of the racial and cultural group that fell victim to the Nazis, Nazis themselves? Not all violence is equivalent, and as bad and extreme as the Israeli government is in its current racial cleansing, it doesn’t even come close to what the US government does in multiple parts of the planet day in and day out, let alone the Nazis.
Since that is so why not go out and start screaming Nazis at the Christian churches and the US government, too? Because you don’t want to looks so foolish?
I dislike the Democrats and consider them equally as responsible as the republicans for their genocides around the planet, but wouldn’t it seem stupid and irresponsible on my part if I began calling them Nazis all the time, like you seem to think it perfectly OK to do with the Israeli (ands American Jewish) Zionists? You do a total disservice to fighting against Zionist racism when you do this sort of stuff. How about knocking it off?
Look I am not claiming to be Miss Manners here and sometimes I too cross the line and need to be called on it when I do. However, I don’t think I ever make quite as abusive a mistake as this one you two are doing by repeatedly comparing a Jewish majority grouping, the Zionists, to being the equivalent of the German Nazis.
