ONLY IN COLORADO SPRINGS! (SPOILER: OCCUDRAMA ALERT)–
Not satisfied with heckling the OCS antiwar rally on Saturday, some “berserkers” from Fort Carson’s 4/4 2/12 regiment thought they’d march on the Occupy events committee meeting Monday and vote to make OCS more like their occupation stints in Iraq and Afghanistan, more pro-killer and all. Or vote OCS out of existence. Cute, as they pretend to uphold everybody’s freedom, etc. Apparently the soldiers were following the directions of Right Wing Youtube slackupier Agent Snuffleupagus Doubt, who promised to reopen his faux-occupy website for their coup, as if maintaining the fake OCS Facebook group wasn’t anti-occupy enough. True to idiotic form, Doubt’s plan was to overwhelm the democratic nature of OCS, forgetting to caution his winged monkeys about embarrassing mechanisms which protect OWS groups from malicious disruptions, many of his troops face disciplinary probation, for starters. But for Agent Duh it’s enough to videotape a flash-blob declaring itself king of OCS, and it’s done. Emboldened by this virtual occupy, next Mastermind Duh will probably scheme to send Republican operatives to crash the Democratic Caucuses, vote them all Republican, and steal their delegates for Ron Paul! What a plan!
BTW Commander Dumbass, how can someone who hasn’t attended Occupy meetings in months, someone who has publicly declared himself on repeated occasions to have left Occupy, and someone who has often acted in league with public attackers of Occupy, PRETEND to tell people what are its bylaws? Critics of democracy movements accuse proponents of advocating mob rule, and so you’ve confused democracy for your own caricature? I suppose you think if the minister of First Prez wanted to convert Occupy, he could march enough of his flock down to Acacia and vote OCS into his denomination. That logic may wash with Ft Carson boys, and your Youtube viewership, but it’s not going to cut it with real people. Are you kidding me with your inanity?
You knowyou got voted out eric funny thing i invested more time in OCS than FRG meetings. which I never been to by the way.There was three soldiers there that would have been apart of occupy until you started your whole little anti-troop thing. Occupations everywhere have always opened there doors to the armed forces, Actually one soldier that was there was at a wal mart protest. I almost joined the navy why? It was not to go and kill people like you think everyone in the military does. It was to save people. I was going to be a nurse, save soldiers and civilians alike. You got voted out and people want the occupation back. The one you burned down. So we can get back to being in sync with OWS and not anti war all the time. It seems every protest you guys stage has something to do with the military being wrong. You would be one of those people who protest military funerals and i honestly see you doing it. Just remember as I tried to say last night before you cut me off to say everything I said was wrong. No matter if we form a new government, every government needs a standing military. Its 5 am Eric are you nice and warm in bed, cause I am awake kissing my husband goodbye for work. One of the saddest songs is played at 9 pm every night on fort carson, its the taps, every time I hear that song and remember the fallen, it makes me wonder why these brave men and women fought and died for people like you and tony who don’t show any respect for them? It makes me wonder how you can sit there and call everyone in OCS a family member the way its supposed to be, yet say to everyone troops kill children, in front of my daughter call her father the man she adores so much, white trash, a baby killer. That is not part of being a community. It looks very bad actually to the whole colorado springs community, when your downtown holding signs saying, troops kill kids. There was no bribe for anyone to want to take OCS back, it was just the right thing to do.
Actually, Occupy CS is next building an event in support of everybody being able to get Medical Care when it is needed, something the American people do not now have. Hope to see you there, Brittany. As a potential future nurse I am sure that the issue of Universal Health Coverage for all Americans must be of interest to you.
We actually support that movement all people have the right to health care…its sad when the vehicles in this nation is better protected then human beings….

This is pathetic and funny at the same time. Hope someone has it on video. “Occudrama”? The most press that I have see Occupy get is with Kyle. Now a coup? How much more political CAN this get?
I wouldn’t call it an effort at a ‘coup’ so much, as simply that a group of self declared Republican voter types came into a coffee shop where Occupy CS sometimes has meetings, and told some few of us drinking coffee and eating pastries there at the time that they were voting people out of CS Occupy, even though that really is not the way Occupy functions at all.
Simply put, nobody can run others out of Occupy just at the snap of their fingers. Republican leaning members cannot run off Democratic Party leaning folk out of Occupy, and vice versa neither. Nor can those who think both parties dead ends run off those who don’t think that, nor vice versa either.
Which brings us back the Saturday Occupy event and the counter protest to it. To those counter protesters that shouted out to me last Saturday (and there were at least 5-6 people who did that) that I should leave the US and go live in China, I bet you wish you were dictators like that and could just order others around like they were puppets without any Rights? But society don’t work that way anymore. The days when the KKK were allowed to strut around nonstop in such manner are long gone for good. Too bad you want to force us backwards like that.
Mr Logan, It was Mr. Verlo that referred to it as a “coup”. I have been doing some research about other Occupy movements. It appears they are run by a majority vote as what you call “GA’s”. Should an opposing group attend your GA’s and be the ruling majority, what choices does that leave you?
The basic problem organizationally for the Occupy Movement around the world, is that multiple political ideologies have tended to surf ride the Movement at one time or the other for their own political gain. In Colorado Springs, we have seen the Zeitgeist Movement initially doing just that, and now we see some very reactionary Tea Bag types once again trying to take the local Occupy over in order basically to try to kick others out, and then do just exactly what with the group? That they are not very clear about, since mainly these dissenting folk have mainly focused on expressing their own personal hatreds and dislikes of other people more Left leaning than themselves who are in Occupy.
The Zeitgeist people more or less left on their own from CS Occupy once the city revoked the permit down at Acacia Park. And many of the vote Ron Paul activists have also taken perhaps temporary leave??? to focus on Ron Paul, and not Occupy itself. So that has left a more rabidly Right Wing group focused on being soldier grunt class at Fort Carson, who adore slinging personal nastiness at those who they now see as being only ‘anti soldier’, since many of us do not share their love of going off and fighting wars for the 1%. They are angry with us because they want more ‘respect’ given to the US government war machine, and the pro war troops who make that force up..
YES, votes are good when people do not try to merely run one group off and install another group in, but actually are used to decide tactics and issues to concentrate activities on. When a vote that does such a divisive thing as try to shun others out of Occupy does occur, then you end up with factionalism all over the place, and that is bad for the Movement as a whole. Unfortunately I think that the local Occupy CS is headed in that direction, simply because so many are so determined that it be that way.
I personally have a desire to find all commonality with any and all in Occupy, but cannot simply just sit back while one group of mainly Right Wing Republican soldier types tries to totally shut people up who disagree with them on basic Movement issues of war and peace. This is not a Movement to further promote respect for structures of the 1% security and policing apparatus, but to do just exactly the opposite of that.

One last piece of information, U.S Troops, Law Enforcement Officers, FireFighters, and Emergency Responders are all apart of the 99% you claim to represent! Where do you think you would be without a U.S Military? (Considering how many people you piss off and betray) where do you think you would be without Law Enforcement patroling the streets? What would you do if your place went up in flames, would you call the Fire Dept? So why then, do you continue to bash those you KNOW make it possible for you to live here in the U.S???

Again…the point is lost in my question. Who is the leader of OCS and by what right? A majority vote? And please – spare me that this is a leaderless movement when there are clearly people jockeying over rights of “the movement”.
it should be a leaderfull movement and every one should be a leader this “leaderless” movement saying was adopted to take the power away from the people.they are voted in to a position eg treasurer,timekeeper,yada yada and if they violate policy they are removed from the position not kicked out.but none of them follow policy is what it looks like to me the whole lot of them!read my comments to get a better idea.

The current admins on the OCS Community page and the OccupyCSprings.org sites are Patrick Jay, Eric Verlo, and Lorena Drapeau. Admins on the OCS Group page are annonymous. But I would like to hear a little more on why you claim that I am “not to be trusted”?
