“He (Netanyahu) also called for removing Hamas from power, calling it an “extremist fanatic regime backed by the extremist fanatic government of Iran.” He stopped short of saying he would attack Gaza again to uproot the regime if he is elected. Israel’s three-week offensive on Gaza killed 1,300 people, about half of them civilians, according to Palestinian figures.” These details of Yahooo’s talk reported by the Associated Press: Netanyahu: Gaza offensive stopped too soon, and also by al-Jazeera: Netanyahu vows to topple Hamas.
First off, this Yahooo is not going to attack anybody unless it is because the United States government OKs it. Americans have already elected their Yahooo and he will make that decision, or not?
Democrats, are you ready to be led into war with Iran because your Yahooo wants just that? Think about it some, will yuh? Are you going to help the Israeli Jewish people run the Arab Palestinians into the sea, because you hate Arabs, too, American?
The title of the piece is grossly misleading. Likud Party leader Binyamin Netanyahu never directly or indirectly expressed a need to kill Palestinian children. His calling for the removal of the Hamas terrorist organization from power in the Gaza Strip does not come close to such a statement.
I’m just like that, ‘Don’. I ‘mislead’ people unlike you! …lol… You are just too funny for words!
Tony Logan,
You inferred something that Mr. Netanyahu never directly or indirectly suggested. That is misrepresentation.
Edward R. Murrow is turning in his grave over the journalistic standards employed, or, more to the point, not employed in creating the impression that Netanyahu either stated he wants to kill children. You also suggest the Jerusalem Post is biased in its news coverage, then you proceed to refer to an article in Al Jazeera. Too funny.
The two headed hydra monster is tickling me to death! Help! I’m dying with laughter!
Tony Logan,
You may find other’s reactions to your deliberate dissemination of disinformation funny. The posting of such information only reveals an extremely desperate attempt to demonize Mr. Netanyahu. After all, misrepresentation would be unnecessary if the facts allowed for such a conclusion. But they don’t.
Don’t be a pompous ass, ‘Don’.
Still no facts to back your inference, Tony. The absence of substantiation speaks volumes as to the lack of credibility of the title.
By your logic, Americans wanted to murder German babies in Nazi Germany.
Good God, ‘Don’! You have put more spam on this blog in just one day than did that guy in one entire career span who was just arrested and described by the press as the Notorious Spam King! Congratulations!
See rupert murdoch on this one… Notorious Spam King Nabbed, but E-Mail Onslaught Continues http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,276632,00.html
Ronald,
The sad thing is, I doubt that they realize just how illogical their arguments are. But with a disregard for facts, as appears more and more evident, a lack of logic is not a problem.
Your mother must be proud of you, ‘Don’!
Tony Logan,
Sadly, your arsenal of facts is as empty as your arsenal of insults is full. If you don’t have sufficient evidence to support your insinuation concerning Mr. Netanyahu, then change your headline. If you do, post it and support your claim.

About
Breaking the Silence is an organization of veteran Israeli soldiers that collects testimonies of soldiers who served in the Occupied Territories during the Second Intifadah. Soldiers who serve in the Territories are witness to, and participate in military actions which change them immensely. Cases of abuse towards Palestinians, looting, and destruction of property have been the norm for years, but are still excused as military necessities, or explained as extreme and unique cases. Our testimonies portray a different and grim picture of questionable orders in many areas regardind Palestinian civilians. These demonstrate the depth of corruption which is spreading in the Israeli military. While this reality which is known to Israeli soldiers and commanders exists in Israel’s back yard, Israeli society continues to turn a blind eye, and to deny that which happens in its name. Discharged soldiers who return to civilian life discover the gap between the reality which they encountered in the Territories , and the silence which they encounter at home. In order to become a civilian again, soldiers are forced to ignore their past experiences. Breaking the Silence voices the experiences of those soldiers, in order to force Israeli society to address the reality which it created.
Until today, Breaking the Silence interviewed hundreds of soldiers who served in the territories, and continues interviewing soldiers daily. These interviews are published on this website, in testimonial booklets, through different media outlets, and also through lectures and tours to Hebron. The testimonies are published with minimal editing and with complete confidentiality, in order to protect the soldiers and to encourage them to speak.
We demand accountability regarding Israel’s military actions in the Occupied territories perpetrated by us and in our name.
Rabbi Yisrael Rosen, director of the Tsomet Religious Institute: “All of the Palestinians must be killed; men, women, infants, and even their beasts.”
Israeli spokesman Nachman Abramovic on Palestinian children:
Legal scholar Dr. Nachum Rakover: “They voted for killers and sent them to kill us. To call them [civilian] innocent is a tragic comedy… civilians are partners of the killers.”
Israeli Orthodox Shas party official Eli Yeshai: “extermination of the enemy is sanctioned by the Torah.”
Can you pls.provide sources for those quotes? Did you not learn a lesson from the incident of posting the false quote of Sharon that you need to provide substantiation? Further, cherry-picking such quotes from individuals in Israel does nothing to deflect the fact that genocide is an official stated policy of the Hamas Charter.
Neither Rabbi Rosen, Mr. Abramovic, or Dr. Rakover are in the government. They are expressing their personal opinion, not government policy.
As for MK Yishai, he is but one member of the Knesset. You are assuming that he meant civilians by “enemy.” Please provide concrete evidence that he defined “enemy” to include civilians and combatants alike.
Looks like these guys are losing their steam.
But I’m detecting a trend among comments on progressive sites in general. They reflect a wide unleashing of military-toned voices: sophist, pedantic, with a callous sense of humor.
I wonder whether the blogosphere can survive an onslaught of military propagandists whose chief task is to litter the internet landscape with unpalatable uninteresting droppings, rendering it unreadable.
Hopefully someone can develop a plug-in to filter IP addresses with .mil associations.
