“I believe that capitalism is the road to destruction of the world.” That was Chavez’s message last Friday to South American leaders convening at the Mercosur summit, a trade bloc in opposition to NAFTA. To those that think that Hugo Chavez is undemocratic, here is a film, The Revolution, about the US coup attempt against him in 2002, filmed by an Irish TV crew. One hour long, it is an incredible film, that filmed both the coup ringleaders in action alongside of the people they attempted to take power away from.
