So who was the Fort Hood shooter, do we know? The media’s got the back story all lined up for it to be Nidal Malik Hasan, he has three names like all assassins (and sound bites), and now the Army is trotting out witnesses to point their fingers at the Muslim Major. Addressing reports of multiple gunmen, the Army says “there was only one shooter.” Although five of the victims may have fallen to friendly fire. So there was a “friendly shooter?” Which one was Hasan?
I’m thinking the multiple shooter stories came out of the Army deciding the shooter was Hasan, but witnesses insisting it was another soldier. Sooner than contradict what they’d seen with their own eyes, Investigators and victims agree to disagree, until a uniform narrative can be worked out.
With a mess of dead soldiers, all dead by PTSD, who the hell cares which killed which? But poor Major Hasan’s name had the right evildoer pedigree, with an Abu Nidal ring to it, which could bring Americans to a boil.
What’s going on right now, by the way, big picture wise? Is the American public vacillating about sending more troops to Afghanistan? It took a 9/11 surge of Muslim-hating to send our invaders off in the first place.
The Army must have shit bricks when it turned out that Hasan was still alive. The fall guy they’d chosen wasn’t dead. It’s hard to pin the tale on someone who can still tell. But who am I kidding? Either we’re going to see a Jack Ruby pay a visit to Hasan in the hospital, the end, or the military’s going to control Mr. Hasan with its usual heavy hand. And that’s the New World Order MO. I can already see Jose Padilla being shuttled between tortures and deprivations, losing his mind as the government confounds him with accusations.
Hasan is already as cooked as Padilla. No matter what happened, we’ll see confusion and confession and absolutely no access to civilian lawyers or the press. Hasan is this year’s American Taliban, the caricature John Walker Lind painted as America-hating wuss.
The Army’s having nobody think this is PTSD. Did you see the JAG lawyer on CNN, ruling out PTSD because Hasan was an officer?
Antiwarriors can laud the shooting as “fragging” but it’s not. Fragging means to kill your superior officer. At Fort Hood, the only dead were grunts.
Antifada antiwarriors can hope this was Islam striking back, hitting Americans with their own MO. But where was the collateral damage? Where were the wives and children, the innocents among the dead soldiers? Nope, none of those. The evidence indeed points to a principled Mujahadeen who wanted to kill only the US killers, or the soon to be deployed killers.
The Fort Hood shooter might have been sparing the readying soldiers the horrors of Afghanistan, and the DU poison they’d bring back to their families.
The real story is that this is what PTSD looks like, and it may have played out as Russian Roulette, it wouldn’t matter who pulled the trigger. But of course the big worry for the Pentagon is that this sort of thing could be infectious. The expression “going postal” doesn’t have to morph very far to become going PTSD.
In Vietnam, the GIs started fragging their lieutenants. In Afghanistan and Iraq, in the age of the suicide bombers, the American rebel is killing himself.

Not very straightforward. For several hours after the shooting began various officials, especially Hasan’s IMMEDIATE commander, said that Hasan was close to exemplary as a soldier and in his job performance and that he had been recommended and vetted for a promotion to Lt Colonel.
That in itself gives a strong smell of fish to the story. Perhaps if the Army had a stellar reputation for Truthful Behavior taking them at their word for anything might be possible.
But they DON’T. That’s a problem and it’s huge. Elephant in the parlor style huge. Official press releases from the Pentagon and from field commanders are censored and always tailored to reflect the Army Propaganda Line du jour.
The spinning happens to be on the part of the Pentagon and ANY commentary from any onlooker, including thee and me and he and she and we, has by default a speculative nature about it. I learned early not to take the Army’s version of anything as Gospel.
Colin Powell leaps to mind with his little vial of “anthrax” at the U.N., a Marine unit closing in on Baghdad a few months later “discovering” in a run down refinery, about 2 dozen U.S. Navy 55-gallon drums, with fresh paint and the labels pointing to the side and the partial words visible to the T.V. audience, including me (CNN was airing it) “Pro__”

I know they were empty by the way they were stacked and arranged. A FULL barrel would weigh almost a quarter of a ton, about 450 pounds. There’s no way they could have been stacked there if there had actually been anything in them.

They reported that he had been giving away his possessions, well DUH! Go to craigslist.org look in the Free category. “Military Family moving, lots of stuff at curb, must have on-base access to Ft Carson to pick up”.
Giving away stuff you can’t afford to move or store is as common in the Army as green clothes.
Some Dingleberry reported on the “News” last night that he yelled out “Allah is Great” in English and then opened fire.
The way the incident is being reported now isn’t conducive to just Believing anything the Pentagon says. It’s about like that stupid joke with the punch line… Louisiana sheriff looks at the guy at the bottom of the bayou wrapped in chains and says “yep, just like a nigger, stealing more chains than he can swim with”. or “goddam fancy show-off jailhouse suicide, tyin’ himself up like that before hangin’ himself jus’ to make us look stupid”.

Let’s review that, with something written today on AP about Maj Hasan. Now, the fellow with the ALL CAPITALS and filled with Rage was directing it against Muslims. Even used the word Muslim as an insult. Kind of like the way the S.A. would paint “Juden” on walls near where they had murdered a person for being Jewish.
But the AP story said some of those who were “disturbed” by Maj Hasan’s behavior, well, what exactly did they find “disturbing”? Oh, that’s right, they were disturbed that he had said there was a climate of Anti-Islamic Hatred in the
Army.

Here’s a little work-phrase that might help calm you and clear your mind “Arab Americans, Muslim Americans, Italian Americans, Irish Americans..” gets a little bulky, awkward and hard to chant. So strike out the modifier terms, Arab, Muslim, Italian, Irish whatever, and then you’re working with the term “American”. When ALL-CAPS FELLOW speaks about crucifying Arab Americans or Muslim Americans he’s really saying “Crucify AMERICANS”. He could as easily replace it with “Crucify Irish Americans” or “Crucify ALL-CAPS FELLOW Americans”.
Perhaps with a little practice we could move up to the next level, which is you could replace all the modifier words like Arab American or Irish American or Arab, Irish, Italian, Muslim, Christian, Jewish, American, English, Mexican… and just replace any of those words with “Person”. Child of God. Human Being. Somebody’s Brother. Brother from another Mother. Sister by another Mister.
I know, I know… if everybody went around looking at People as well, PEOPLE instead of Enemy, Different, Strange, Foreign, whatever… then it would be impossible to fight Wars and stuff like that.

My point about Major Hasan is, whatever the truths or the lies, my conjectures could be as fictional as the Army’s. The Pentagon is burying the PTSD issue, the public’s sentiment against the wars, and now the soldiers’. I don’t care if Hasan did or didn’t to it. But I do care that it wasn’t an Islamic act. And our government is not fighting hard enough to keep the whackos from making that inference.
The truth of the matter is, that going to Iraq and Afghanistan those countries without a thought in the world about how they will be killing the Muslim people living there is a distinctly Christian act. It is the Christian mindset of being ‘chosen people’ that motivates the majority of Americans with their ‘God Bless America’ mindset, and it was this Christian mindset that helped motivate the Nazis with their Germans first mindset that led to a Holocaust of Jews and others.
So maybe a Muslim decided that he militantly just didn’t like that Christian mentality? Not too illogical of an ‘inference’ I would think. Am I a ‘whacko’ for seeing it this way? Hardly.
No, but the Schultheisses and their fans like the fellow who suggested crucifying people ARE beyond whacko, they’re whack-a-doodle-doo.
