War costs many times what Pentagon reported, Surprise.

We’ve been told, you know, that the total spending on the Wars Of Conquest in the Bananastans was “only” a Trillion dollars. For those who don’t visualize numbers very well, that’s a million times a million. Using the largest standard bill in U.S. Currency, the $100, it would take a suitcase to hold a million dollars, and it would weigh just over 22 pounds, ten kilograms. (Each bill weighs a gram, 10,000 bills… hey, people in the drug trade know that, it’s easier to weigh a million dollars than count it. That shit from Scarface where they had a counting machine, pure fiction. Dope dealers use their scales for more than just weighing out the product.)
Other estimates are 3.7 trillion. That’s substantially more. Then there’s more realistic estimates that range from 5 Trillion up to 8 Tera-bux. That would be from estimating the costs + “over-runs” like syphoning off a few million suitcases full of Benjamins, of construction projects given with no-bid contracts to companies like Halliburton, which has a lot of connections to the Bush Family and the former President of Vice, Richard “dickless” Cheney.
But they wouldn’t rip us off, no, not possible. I could barely type that snark-asm without becoming violently ill.
“The debt crisis has been a game changer in terms of defense spending,” said Laura Peterson, a national security analyst at Taxpayers for Common Sense, a nonpartisan budget watchdog. “It used to be that asking how much the wars cost was unpatriotic. The attitude going into the war is you spend whatever you cost. Now maybe asking is more patriotic.”
How was that funded without raising taxes? Bonds.

Bonds which pay 10% annually. Which means the interest is going to exactly match the principal this coming quarter.
So that makes the cost to the taxpayers exactly twice what it would have cost with a pay-as-you-go system. Because the Rich Bitches like CheneyBush aren’t going to let the American People get out of our obligation to line their pockets. And they’re not going to tax their Rich Bitch Buddies either, they’ve already made that point clear. Instead they’re going to blame the poorest people, those of us who control less than 1% of the total wealth, for their own little Oopsie moment, and tax us accordingly. Cut Momma’s Social Security. Slash pay and benefits so we’ll have less raw income with which to pay more money than all of us collectively won’t see in several lifetimes of Minimum Slavery.
Those of us “Lucky Duckies” who don’t make enough money to pay income tax.

It seems that every time Class Warfare rears its ugly head, the guns are pointed at the Working class and away from the Parasite Class.

It’s worth noting that within a year the first use of a machine gun (different from a Gatling gun) by the United States Army was against U.S. civilians at the Ludlow Massacre, and IWW organizer Joe Hill was blown away at Salt Lake City by a firing squad.

LongmontCitizens– Joe Hill Festival with John McCutcheon and Elena Klaver

Joe Hill was a folk singer, on par with Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie, and an IWW organizer. He was framed for murder, a murder proven to be committed by another man. And executed by Judicial Lynching firing squad in Salt Lake City in 1915. Many Right Wingers say we shouldn’t focus on such things, if somebody is convicted, so they say, there’s no longer any chance of his innocence. (m)Ann Coulter and local Wicked Bitch of the West Michelle Malkintent object to people bringing up all the times Justice was thwarted by a hangmans rope, an electric chair, firing squad, gas chamber or needle.
They say they’re tired of hearing about Joe Hill and about Saccho and Vanzetti. Therefore everybody else is tired of hearing about it.
Screw them. Not literally of course. They want people to forget so they’ll have an easier time in the next round of Court Sanctioned Murders. I think they just like the thought of other people dying.

There’s a song that goes with it, Pete and Woody and Joan Baez and just every folk singer in existence has recorded it, lyrics are:

I dreamed I saw Joe Hill last night,
Alive as you or me
Says I, “But Joe, you’re ten years dead,”
“I never died,” says he
“I never died,” says he
“In Salt Lake, Joe,” says I to him,
Him standing by my bed,
“They framed you on a murder charge,”
Says Joe, “But I ain’t dead,”
Says Joe, “But I ain’t dead.”
“The copper bosses killed you, Joe,
They shot you, Joe,” says I.
“Takes more than guns to kill a man,”
Says Joe, “I didn’t die,”
Says Joe, “I didn’t die.”
And standing there as big as life
And smiling with his eyes
Joe says, “What they forgot to kill
Went on to organize,
Went on to organize.”
“Joe Hill ain’t dead,” he says to me,
“Joe Hill ain’t never died.
Where working men are out on strike
Joe Hill is at their side,
Joe Hill is at their side.”
“From San Diego up to Maine,
In every mine and mill,
Where workers strike and organize,”
Says he, “You’ll find Joe Hill,”
Says he, “You’ll find Joe Hill.”
I dreamed I saw Joe Hill last night,
Alive as you or me
Says I, “But Joe, you’re ten years dead,”
“I never died,” says he
“I never died,” says he

American barbeque and Fox assholes like Scissor Bills’ O’Reilly

FOX News
Ex-soldier bragged about Iraqi rape, deaths then celebrated at a barbeque from Reuters. “Iraqis were horrified by the crime, one of a series of incidents involving U.S. soldiers that strained relations with the Iraqi government. But the onset of Green’s trial three years later is not resonating with most Iraqis, observers there say. The incident was portrayed in the 2007 movie “Redacted” by director Brian De Palma, who complained the film was censored by the studio. Its graphic images shocked many viewers.”

From wikipedia we read that…

‘Commentator Bill O’Reilly has called for protests of Redacted and against Mark Cuban. O’Reilly claims that the film demeans American soldiers and may incite violence against them, and he has called on ticketholders to bring signs to Dallas Mavericks games and all theaters showing the movie, stating ‘Support the Troops’.[18] Mark Cuban has responded, saying “The movie is fully pro-troops. The hero of the movie is a soldier who stands up for what is right in the face of adversity… I think that the concept that the enemy will see these films and use it as motivation is total nonsense. We have no plans of translating these movies to Arabic or other middle eastern languages…It’s really easy to hate, its really hard to think issues through on their own merits. Anything that makes people think about issues is a good thing.”‘

You can see the film Redacted online for free and it is well worth it. Don’t let these right Wing creeps like Bill O’Reilly get away with what you can see or not see. It never got a chance at your local cinema but most good films never do either. There are just far too many American idiots like O’Reilly out there and unfortunately, many of them get their marching orders from Fox and Murdoch, if not their actual salaries like Master Scissor Bill himself does.
