Georgian Saakashvili, the anti Putin

He rode to power on a CIA/USAID/CPD-backed colored revolution (Georgia's was Rose), he invaded South Ossetia at NATO's prompting, but Mikheil Saakashvili startled when Russian tanks immediately took it back, and the Georgian president hasn't stopped screaming for western support. He's still fretting over something the Russian Prime Minister had uttered during that engagement. Didn't it seem, last August, that Saakashvili wanted to give Georgia back and return to his safe American home? He dared let US special ops advisers give Georgian soldiers insurgency training, but when the people of South Ossetia resisted falling into the sphere of western oil interests, Saakashvili went crying to mommy. There is probably no denying that Russia will not abide a US puppet playing host to western terrorist subversives at its border. But Putin has been mum on the matter, choosing instead to parade about shirtless. We're laughing at the Fabio act, but Putin's foe in Georgia is shaking like he anticipates the pig scene from Deliverance in his future. Saakashvili is raising the alarm, explaining Georgia's vulnerability. Says he, “Putin has to break our neck. He has to fulfill his solemn pledge to hang me by a certain part of the body.” Last year, during talks to end the conflict in South Ossetia, Putin had told French President Sarkozy that he wanted to hang Saakashvili “by the balls.” Has the US no better contender to foist upon the newly westernized Georgians than sissy Saakashvili? They should have auditioned candidates with their shirts off.

Human Rights Watch lied to world press about who dropped cluster bombs where?

Shame on you, Human Rights Watch! You lied didn't you? You lied to help whip up international support for the US attack on South Ossetia that their Georgian government stooges carried out. At a key moment you spread lies that Russia had dropped cluster bombs on Georgia throughout the world press and now you've been caught at it! Human Rights Watch says Georgia admits to dropping cluster bombs in S. Ossetia This news comes from the Associated Press. What will be interesting is to see if any of the Democratic Party tied liberal sites like Common Dreams and alternet actually print the real news now? My fingers are crossed. The DP leaders are almost as gung ho for whipping up a hysteria against Russia as the McCainites are. Aren't you Biden and Barack? Human Rights Watch will hide away the news now as best they can about how it was the Georgian government that used those cluster bombs. Shame on this group! They were doing their best to add to the Let's Reopen the Cold War hysteria that started to grip the US media, and now... what do they have to say for themselves? Not much.

Will the bear ever break its pact with the Devil?

The Russian bear has made some pretty stupid political deals in recent modern times. Almost all of us know about the Stalin-Hitler Pact and the horrible price Russia paid for the stupidity of Joseph Stalin, but few of us have thought much about the stupid pact the Russians now have had with our own US Government Devil. Since the US dropped the former Soviet Union out of existence the new Russian capitalist regime has pretty much let the Devil have its own way all around the planet, but is that about to end? Maybe, and if so how would that be done? Russia's UN draft condemning the US murder of dozens of innocent civilian kids in Afghanistan is one indication of how the bear will move through the forest to confound The Devil. One is tempted to forget and have out of mind how Russia has passively allowed the US to rampage across Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, and Afghanistan while supporting this Devil diplomatically? Stupid, stupid, stupid. Without the Russian bear on board the United Nations is left exposed as a total fraud. NATO then also becomes naked in the wind. n What has the bear been thinking by being so quiet for so long? Did it really think that once again a modern day version of the Stalin Hitler Pact was the way to go forth and prosper? Then what a dumb bear it has been! The bear doesn't want to break its pact with Our Devil, and without China at its side feels all alone. But it really has no choice at this point. It has to begin to oppose the US and its European cohorts as they commit genocide against Iraq and threaten to do so elsewhere, too. It's time to pull the rug from out underneath of Our Devil before its too late.

US liberal radicals silent about ‘self determination’ now that South Ossetia and Abkhazia want it

One of the most aggravating things about American (and British) liberals has been how they consistently line up with the US government shouting 'Self-Determination! Self Determination!' every time the Pentagon uses some small nationality against another government. When Australia wanted to split East Timor off of Indonesia, this was their shout. When the US and the Western Europeans wanted to carve up Greater Yugoslavia into nation-lets under their control this was their call. We hear their call again against China as the US government wants to use Tibet to propagandize for the Pentagon and against the Chinese. We hear it in Africa as they use the issue of the fighting in Darfur to move against Sudan. Liberal radicals are always using the issue of 'self determination' to support US militarism while pretending to be doing the exact complete opposite. That is why their silence is so deafening now about keeping quiet about 'self determination' for Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Apparently the liberal interventionist American Left is only for 'self determination' when the Pentagon calls for it? This is a sad illustration about the liberal Left's own lack of self examination and their pro US nationalism and pro imperialism that hides behind liberal human rights rhetoric. Some even hide behind Marxism to justify what positions for the Pentagon they take! What about the Ossetians? Once again the Libertarian Right is more honest than the pseudo Marxists and Left liberal 'Progressive' community is. They ask the question about the Ossetians when the phonys remain silent. While the pro Democratic Party liberals/radicals are out cheerleading Barack it is antiwar.com that keeps us informed about the dangerous buildup for war involving Russia and the US. And unfortunately, this constant misuse of the issue of 'self determination' in support of State Department propaganda is often used by many even to the Left of the Democratic Party, too. Shameful. But now they are all silent when it comes to South Ossetia and Abkhazia.

Pedantic US Pentagon hectoring of Russia continues

The US and its allies continue to try to bully and lecture Russia about Russia's rebuttal of NATO-Pentagon's' push toward going to war with them. But surprise! This won't work. Russia says withdrawal complete The DC government thugs and buffoons can hiss and howl all they want, alongside their civilian Empire propaganda media cohorts, but Russia is fed up with US imperialism and will no longer be cajoled to just retreat worldwide. What are all the pacifist types in the US 'Peace' babble Movement going to do now, talk more Church? We need a real antiwar movement and one that knows what's really going on and that has backbone enough to stand up to the Democratic Party's efforts to control and derail all protest. Russia is drawing a line and will not continue to let NATO just advance. They are in the right and we need to organize to stop our own country's imperialist war making now! Iraq is just a sideshow in what the neocons and Pentagon are now engaged in doing.

Human Rights Watch is a US State Department vehicle, not a genuine human rights organization

The broadening conflict between the US and Russia has brought to the fore the role of the Human Rights Watch in promoting US State Department and Pentagon propaganda. They do this by hiding themselves behind their name, which leads the public to think that they are an independent group of concerned world citizens merely working for human rights observance. However, a brief visit to their web site alone should set off some alarm bells. Human Rights Watch That's right! There is no interest shown by this organization about human rights abuses by the US in Iraq or Afghanistan! Somalia, too, is off their radar! These three countries are not mentioned on their web site! At least not on the front page, and I couldn't locate anything at all on other pages either. When one sees such a thing and thinks about it a tad, then one begins to wonder about where the funding comes from for a group called Human Rights Watch? Here is Source Watch about the funding... 'On January 1, 2005 they obtained a five-year, $15 million challenge grant from the Sandler Family Supporting Foundation. "The Sandlers and their children will donate $3 million a year for five years through the Sandler Family Supporting Foundation as long as Human Rights Watch raises $6 million annually in matching funds from first-time donors or existing donors who increase their contributions." [2]' So who are the Sandler Family and their Sandler Foundation? We have to go to wikipedia to find out this about Herb Sandler. Yes, he is a billionaire Democratic Party promoter of the group, banker and businessman. We need to inform the public more about these billionaire promoters of US State Department human rights propaganda who push the Pentagon program for US world dominance. It is not only Human Rights Watch that is a US State Department vehicle for propaganda dissemination, but also the Carter Foundation, where one can quickly find out (if you think to look?) that it too is head up by another billionaire. I am not talking about Jimmy Carter either, but rather John Jay Moore, who is director of the Board of Trustees of the Carter Center, another human rights constantly blathering group respected so much by so many Democratic Party voting liberal types. So when you hear Human Rights Watch running on about such and such, or so and so, ask yourself, do you really want American billionaires to be defining 'human rights' for the world? Is it up to us to just blindly follow the billionaires like Bill Gates, George Soros, et al when they tell us who are supposedly being bad guys, and who are supposedly respecting human rights throughout the world? These American billionaires run US foreign policy even as they might be temporarily a little bit at odds with one president or the

Can Russians do worse than US soldiers?

I'm listening right now to live alarmist coverage of Russia's occupation of Georgia. Embeds are reporting to analysts about the panicked Georgians, about forced labor, and about marauding Russian soldiers committing atrocities. A cease fire has been signed, and though we don't hear any gunfire, American leaders and media hounds are blustering about the Russian disproportionate use of force. When did our DoD decide to recognize that war crime? It's only been a few days that the Russians have been tasked with restoring order in the belligerent Georgia. They're making Georgians help clean the streets and they're destroying the military facilities which the US-advised Georgian forces just used in their attempt to seize South Ossetia. I'm poised to hear Belgian/Kuwait atrocity fabrications as our talking heads try to prompt Americans to "do something." The Russian move is being likened to Hungary in 1956 and Czechoslovakia in 1968, where Americans can have nothing but regret about not having acted to repulse the Soviets. But we Americans know something about occupations now don't we? How misbehaved have the Russians been? Are we hearing about Russian Predator Drones zapping unsuspecting civilians? Are we hearing of Russian snipers shooting everything that moves, including toddlers in their back yards? Are we hearing about cars and buses being strafed to a halt at improvised Russian checkpoints? Are Georgian ambulances being shot by helicopters?

Little Georgia stateside pro-war lobby

DENVER- A dozen or so Georgian Americans were waving flags and signs at motorists passing the state capitol building today. I asked several of them if their effort was funded by the US State Department. "Not at all, one girl answered, oblivious, we're here trying to incite Americans to join the war against Russia."   Some had the stocky look of that region. They were probably simply frantic about the fate of their relatives back home. I couldn't help but see them as alumni of the recent Georgian neo "Democracy Movement," the preferred US method of conscripting client states.

‘Independence’ for Kosovo and now ‘independence’ for Abkhazia and South Ossetia?

US officials huff and puff but cannot blow the Russian house down? They already did that by making Kosovo an 'independent' country, did they not? Now it is the Russian turn to do into the US as was done unto them. We may well be on the way to seeing an 'independent' Abkhazia and an 'independent' South Ossetia being born. Both Russia and the US are now prepared to use smaller nationalities against bigger ones so it's 'independence' time these days! The US and Russia learned to play this game from European colonial imperialism, and talk about 'self-determination' gone wild! The Vatican could well become one of the world's medium size 'countries' if this 'independence' thing gets going good! That's what makes the title to this reportage by the BBC most comical! US warns Russia of lasting impact Wasn't it the other way around when Putin told the US government that by making Kosovo 'independent' from Yugoslavia, that it had opened Pandora's Box? Check out the map seen at the end of this article of the made-in-USA borders of Georgia. That's about to change. Plus notice where the Georgian city of Gori is located? It is located right next to the capital of the now destroyed South Ossetian capital. The US government is complaining because Gori got pounded by Russian forces, but where do we think the Georgian forces that moved into South Ossetia came from? It was from Gori. The Russian attack on Gori was payback for what the city did to their South Ossetian neighbor populated mainly with non-Georgians. The giants play with the Lilliputians, but the Lilliputians also like to bash each other.

US government heads toward direct military engagement against Russia

The US government is moving toward direct military confrontation against Russia as Bush has directed the US military to begin shipping 'aid' to Georgia. The Pentagon has already been ferrying Georgian troops back into Georgia from out of Iraq, where they functioned as US mercenaries there in the US occupation of that country. Because of DC's continued belligerence all over the globe and now its role in destroying South Ossetia's capital, Russia has little choice other than to stand up to the current Bush Administration and draw the line hard and fast now, and doing that can lead to a nuclear showdown quite quickly. The Democratic Party has an opportunity to veto this Republican begun war, but so far has remained utterly silent. Correct that. Actually some leading advisers to the DP also are pushing for further dangerous confrontation against Russia. I am talking about Zbigniew Brzezinski in special who is now a Barack Obama adviser. This infamous Cold Warrior who gave Osama bin Laden his start in Afghanistan is advocating more US government aggression against Russia, not less. What do the latest Rice and Bush communiques signify? Bush orders aid to Georgia, Rice to visit Tbilisi One thing is for sure, and that is that George W. Bush and his neocons are a lot stupider, a lot looser with their power, and a lot more arrogant than John F. Kennedy ever was, and that spells trouble for us all. The Democratic Party's passive acceptance of the Bush plan to continue attacking Russia is very disturbing.

How the US and Georgia violated the South Ossetia peace plan

The Russians have issued a peace plan for Georgia and the US to accept, and SURPRISE! It's the same peace plan that was in place before, which the US and Georgia violated by entering and attacking South Ossetia. The peace plan calls for non- aggression in South Ossetia to be monitored by peacekeeping troops. FACTBOX-Peace plan for Georgia: what is it? This peace plan is essentially the same one that the European Union has already proposed and that was already once in place. However, it is obvious to all that the US and Georgian governments do not feel in the least obligated to abide by this plan since they have already violated it once by unilatrally sending troops into South Ossetia. Further the official US government propaganda mills in the US (the New York Times, Washington Post, George Dubya Bush, Rice, etc.) have made it clear with their continued belligerency that this attack on South Ossetia was only the beginning of the continued US government plan to now constantly attack Russia. They have no desire at all to retreat despite the human suffering their war plans are causing. They want to control the natural resources of Asia for US corporate interests and that is all that counts for them. It seems clear that this is the new Republican plan to try to advance John McCain's chances for entering into the White House, too, and since the Democrats share the same foreign policy goals of the Republicans they will not be able to counter the Republican offensive but will instead echo everything the Bush Administration does. The Republican plan is to simply reignite Cold War rhetoric against the nationalist capitalist regime of the country today named Russia, and to attack the Democratic Party for being supposedly weak in this campaign. Liberal pacifists and academic Left Libertarians in the Peace Movement are also not prepared to do anything against this new neocon propaganda offensive against Russia. They also tag along with the Republicans spewing out constant anti- Chinese and anti- Russia vitriol all on their own. Their mantra has always been merely a call to equally and incessantly blame victims of US aggression alongside the blame they toss out against the US government for causing the chaos and conflict in the world today. But how can a US Antiwar Movement be built on such a foundation like that? In fact, you hardly see these people active even going through the motions of organizing a US Antiwar Movement. It is all talk and writing for the liberal community that they are engaged in and propagandizing for, and nothing of real organizing an Antiwar Movement. By equalizing responsibility as they do, in fact they expose themselves as being US nationalists themselves despite their criticisms of the US corporate government, simply because who is to blame is not equal at all in the least. Russia

Ossetia South doesn’t want to be West

SOUTH OSSETIA? You might very well ask, where's NORTH Ossetia? The Republic of North Ossetia-Alania is in the Russian Federation. So the minority enclave of South Ossetia wants to break from Georgia? They've watched developments in the increasingly US-controlled Georgian leadership and they don't want to be pawns of the West. South Vietnam? South Korea anyone? Bruce Gagnon sent more this morning: Some old sage once said we learn world geography by tracking American wars - or in this case American proxy wars. I am as certain as I can be that this is a proxy war. The U.S. and Israel have been arming Georgia heavily in recent years. The U.S. and Israel have been sending military advisers to Georgia. There is no doubt in my mind that the U.S. has been, at the very least, "encouraging" Georgia to make a grab for the independent territories of South Ossetia and Abkhazia knowing that by doing so they would very well provoke Russia to respond. I am convinced the U.S. wants to confront Russia militarily and if they can get someone else to do it then why not. It's the cold war strategy come back to life. The corporate media in the U.S. is having a field day promoting Russian aggression against Goergia. One very interesting CNN-TV story detailed Russian destruction of the Georgian city of Gori but then the camera man who took the footage said the film he took was actually of Georgian destruction of Russian peacekeeper forces in Tskhinvali, the capital of South Ossetia. You can see why the American people are so often confused and misinformed. We are being led with rings in our noses into a new protracted war. A distant cousin of mine who lives in Massachusetts wrote me saying that when she went to work yesterday the folks there were convinced that Russia had bombed the American state of Georgia. "Why do we bother?" she asked. Bruce also suggested this article: Marching through Georgia By Patrick Schoenfelder Maybe everyone is already up to speed on this, but if you are depending on the usual drumbeat of warlike bluster from the mainstream media (in the words of Paul Krugman, "real mean don't think things through") you are missing most of the news. Therefore, a brief memo: South Ossetia and Abkhazia are small areas on the border between Georgia and Russia where the majority of residents belong to ethnic groups other than Georgian. During the Soviet era, both of them were semi-autonomous areas under Soviet control. In 1990, after Georgia became independent, Georgia claimed both areas as part of Georgia. Russia opposed this claim as did residents of the areas, and Russia forced Georgia at gunpoint to allow autonomy to both regions in 1992, and both regions have been acting as de facto independent countries since then. Peacekeepers from Russia commissioned by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe have been stationed in both countries since then. After the so-called Rose Revolution and the overthrow of Edward Shevardnadze in 2003 it became a policy of the Georgian government to

Bush sicks Georgia onto Russia and the Democrats tag along

We are not seeing much protest against the joint Georgia-US-governments' game in South Ossetia from the American liberal community, because DP voting liberals sense that the political party they continue to follow like sheep, The Democratic Party, is tagging along behind the Neocon game plan, enabling it to continue and multiply its negative results to peace worldwide. Obama is as quiet as a church mouse about how Georgia began the hostilities by bombarding civilians in South Ossetia. He's an imperialist behind NATO aggression, every bit as much as Dick Cheney's troops are. You won't hear Obama contradicting the crap coming out of DC from Dubya Bush that declares Russia supposedly initiated this conflict. It is hard to get away from the reality though, that Georgia began this conflict by murdering several thousand innocent civilians and causing thousands of others to become refugees from their homes. It was an effort by the Georgia government to ethnically cleanse a troubling region for themselves. Washington now wants to spin their war effort in another manner altogether, and the Democratic Party aligned liberal intellectuals are mute. The blame game has them attacking Russia instead of owning up to what they, the US government, authorized the Georgian government to do.

The encirclement of US rivals is apace

"Washington policy now encompasses a series of 'democratic' or soft coup projects which would strategically cut China off from access to the vital oil and gas reserves of the Caspian including Kazakhstan. The earlier Asian Great Silk Road trade routes went through Tashkent in Uzbekistan and Almaty in Kazakhstan for geographically obvious reasons, in a region surrounded by major mountain ranges. Geopolitical control of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan would enable control of any potential pipeline routes between China and Central Asia just as the encirclement of Russia controls pipeline and other ties between it and western Europe, China, India and the Mideast." -William Engdahl In this light does it become more clear why American intelligence interests support FREE TIBET efforts, and Greg Mortenson's Central Asian Institute "western education" encirclement of China's southern border! Bruce Gagnon of Organizing Notes has assembled some notes on the growing conflict in South Ossetia, Georgia, and the implications it poses for a broader military engagement. I'll reprint Bruce's article here: WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT GEORGIA-RUSSIA CONFLICT? I must admit that I am not an expert on the Georgia-Russia conflict that is now underway. But I have been following issues there for some time and have learned to see some linkages between what is going on in places like Poland, Czech Republic, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, China, and the Georgia-Russia conflict. So here are some random, and not so random, observations and quotes that I think might give us all something to ponder. * It's all about oil and natural gas. Russia has the world's largest supply of natural gas and Iran has the world's second largest supply. There is much oil and natural gas up in the Caspian Sea region. Which ever country controls this part of the world will have a jump start in controlling the keys to the world's economic engine for the foreseeable future. * The expanding economy of China has tremendous need for energy. China now imports much of its oil via sea (thru the Taiwan Straits) and the U.S. has in recent years doubled its naval presence in this region pursuing the ability to "choke off" China's ability to import oil. China is looking for alternative, land routes, to transmit oil thus pipelines through Central Asia become crucial. U.S. permanent bases in Afghanistan and attempts to put military bases in other Central Asian countries is in large part an attempt to create the ability to control these pipeline routes. F. William Engdahl, author of A Century of War: Anglo-American Oil Politics and the New World Order, maintains that, "Washington is out to deny China east land access to either Russia, the Middle East or to the oil and gas fields of the Caspian Sea." Engdahl goes on to say, "A close look at the map of Eurasia begins to suggest what is so vital for China and therefore for Washington's future domination of Eurasia. The goal is not only strategic encirclement of Russia through a series of NATO bases ranging from Camp Bond Steel in Kosovo to Poland, to Georgia,

South Ossetia a land grab by US Georgia

The US is decrying Russian aggression in South Ossetia, a breakaway province of Georgia, itself a breakaway of the ex-Soviet states. Georgia is a US proxy and a NATO beachhead aimed toward Russia and the Middle East. South Ossetia is a critical part. Here's analysis from Global Research: War in the Caucasus: Towards a Broader Russia-US Military Confrontation? By Michel Chossudovsky, Global Research, August 10, 2008 During the night of August 7, coinciding with the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics, Georgia's president Saakashvili ordered an all-out military attack on Tskhinvali, the capital of South Ossetia. The aerial bombardments and ground attacks were largely directed against civilian targets including residential areas, hospitals and the university. The provincial capital Tskhinvali was destroyed. The attacks resulted in some 1500 civilian deaths, according to both Russian and Western sources. "The air and artillery bombardment left the provincial capital without water, food, electricity and gas. Horrified civilians crawled out of the basements into the streets as fighting eased, looking for supplies." (AP, August 9, 2008). According to reports, some 34,000 people from South Ossetia have fled to Russia. (Deseret Morning News, Salt Lake City, August 10, 2008) The importance and timing of this military operation must be carefully analyzed. It has far-reaching implications. Georgia is an outpost of US and NATO forces, on the immediate border of the Russian Federation and within proximity of the Middle East Central Asian war theater. South Ossetia is also at the crossroads of strategic oil and gas pipeline routes. Georgia does not act militarily without the assent of Washington. The Georgian head of State is a US proxy and Georgia is a de facto US protectorate. Who is behind this military agenda? What interests are being served? What is the purpose of the military operation. There is evidence that the attacks were carefully coordinated by the US military and NATO. Moscow has accused NATO of "encouraging Georgia". Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov underscored the destabilizing impacts of "foreign" military aid to Georgia: . “It all confirms our numerous warnings addressed to the international community that it is necessary to pay attention to massive arms purchasing by Georgia during several years. Now we see how these arms and Georgian special troops who had been trained by foreign specialists are used,” he said.(Moscow accuses NATO of having "encouraged Georgia" to attack South Ossetia, Russia Today, August 9, 2008) Moscow's envoy to NATO, Dmitry Rogozin, sent an official note to the representatives of all NATO member countries: “Russia has already begun consultations with the ambassadors of the NATO countries and consultations with NATO military representatives will be held tomorrow," Rogozin said. "We will caution them against continuing to further support of Saakashvili." “It is an undisguised aggression accompanied by a mass propaganda war,” he said. (See Moscow accuses NATO of having "encouraged Georgia" to attack South Ossetia, Russia Today, August 9, 2008) According to Rogozin, Georgia had initially planned to:

The US spreads its aggression from the Balkans to the Caucasus region

Tskhinvali, capital of South Ossetia.   The attack of the Georgian military, allied with the US and NATO, against Russian supported South Ossetia has widened the US military encirclement of Russia to another level and another region. The US Antiwar Movement has slept in the years since the ex-Soviet Union fell from the blows of the Cold War and ignored the continued US belligerence towards a now capitalist Russia. Much of this 'Peace' Movement consists of liberals immersed in a reactionary campaign against China, another nation that the Pentagon and US government are waging a world war against, though the fighting between these 2 countries now is mainly at the level of propaganda wars. In regards to China, the liberal 'Peacenics' find themselves allied more with the Pentagon than they do with their beloved abstract 'nonviolence' religion. And they definitely are allied with voting for the Democratic Party, a pro-war party of the corporations. Most of the liberal US and European Left actively supported the US-NATO bombardment of Yugoslavia, so they are even more poorly placed to understand the inter relationship between the previous fighting in the Balkans, and the now hot eruption of war in South Ossetia and Georgia. In short, they are in a total fog of complete ignorance about how the bipartisan US government has promoted policies of aggression towards Russia that has led up to this new fighting. The liberals that make up the 'Peace Community' don't like to come to grips with the realities of US society at all. They want to think that if they just tinker a little that the whole nation will begin to see how righteous they are. They are on Cloud Nine when it comes to understanding basic US geopolitics around the Globe, and their idea of a 'Peace' Rapture is totally void of reality. This is a hard fight and they are only into offering a choreographed film of 'resistance', not roughing it out to build an Antiwar Movement any larger than their small liberal church followings. We can expect a surge of international propaganda pushed by the US government and its allies where they promote themselves though the media as being goodhearted and completely disinterested observers of this fighting from afar. Far from that, the US and its allies are flat smack dab in the middle of the responsibility for this Georgian attack on South Ossetia, and Russia is unlikely to back off and allow the US con game much room for maneuver. Russia tried to warn the US and its allies that making Kosovo an independent country would provoke this sort of new fighting where their country would be directly involved and utterly resistant to being forced to surrender their own national interests before the onslaught of US aggression. But the hawks in the US government, both DP and RP hawks, would have none of it and today we are
