So-called ‘Human Rights Watch’ inserts itself against Hugo Chavez right in the middle of the Venezuelan election

Human Rights Watch doesn't actually much watch out for human rights and defend them where they are really really under attack, because that would expose the Pentagon and Washington D.C. as being the world's major violator of human rights world wide. You won't see them highlighting Iraq, Yemen, Somalia, Bahrain, and Afghanistan in any major manner while the US government is riding roughshod over human rights the most through its incessant promotion of killing and war in these areas of the world. Where you do see them, is inserting themselves with US government-constructed propaganda, in the middle of the Venezuelan election campaign, on the side of the US government-backed guy! Human Rights Watch attacks 'abuse of power' in Venezuela. Now here is what the Human Rights Fund ITSELF says about where their funds to operate come from... Who funds Human Rights Watch? We are a fully independent non-governmental organization, supported by contributions from private individuals and foundations worldwide. In order to maintain our independence, we accept no money from any government, directly or indirectly. Here is what Wikipedia says their monies to operate come from.... The George Soros Open Society Foundation is the primary donor of the Human Rights Watch, contributing $100 Million of $128 Million of contributions and grants received by the HRW in the 2011 financial year. This is not an honest broker of human rights in the world at all! It is Geroge Soros, rich guy, telling us what human rights are, where he thinks they are being violated, and where he finds no problems in them being violated. That last where he finds little violation of human rights is where the Pentagon is operating making its wars at. What a racket has going, and the American corporate media and the Pentagon love the group he funds! Lest anybody forget, it was George Soros funded groups that were largely behind the previous US government supported military coup that tried to topple Chavez, too, and failed.

HRW says state-sanctioned torture is “crime against humanity” but not in US

They keep piling it on against Syria. Human Rights Watch declared that SYRIA'S state-sanctioned torture constitutes a "crime against humanity" but not when America does it. SYRIA'S "torture centers" stink, not ours. ITS chemical weapons stockpile is a threat, not ours. ITS pilots and military commanders are defecting, alas, not ours. The pre-game show for the War on Syria isn't even a remake of the Iraq or Libya war of aggression, it's a rerun. Syrian Curveballs are whispering about unspeakable tortures called "Basat al reeh", "Dulab" and "Falaqa", failing to mention they got them from the Guantanamo manuals. Not only is Human Rights Watch silent about American torture, it ignores explosion of crimes against humanity which have resulted from the Western intervention into Libya.

US gov finally murders ‘ghost detainee’ (POW) tortured by CIA for 7 1/2 years

Libya reports prison suicide of top Qaeda man this week. Translated form CIA Arabic speak, that means he was murdered. Sure... so much has changed with Obama in office! I'm being facetious here. This man was murdered simply because he knew too much about how the Bush Administration tortured POWs in order to try to get them to fabricate 'evidence' about a Saddam Hussein-al Qaeda connection to justify their illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq. A hit by the Libyans for Barack to help put a lid on this scandal? Well you speculate some... (Oh, Tony! Barack is not like that at all!) Sure he is. Certainly the government he heads is! I don't doubt it for a second. This reminds me of the President of Guatemala who has been just accused by an assassinated dead man of having murdered him. Luckily, unlike this victim of the CIA and Obama, he taped his accusation on youtube and it begins... 'if you are hearing this, then I am already dead.' And he is! See the video The Unspeakable Murder of Rodrigo Rosenberg (English subtitles) and the second part The Unspeakable Murder of Rodrigo Rosenberg Marzano (English sub.) part 2/2 A side note to this report about the CIA murder of this tortured American-held POW, is the last words this man made to Human Rights Watch which were... "Where were you when I was being tortured in American prisons?" Good question, Fakhiri. I went to the Human Rights Watch website again and it is amazing how this group never sees wars of aggression as being human rights violations. There's nothing about US occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan there! Seems to simply have escaped their interest or concern! They, at best, have been like a gnat to the US government at times, but in the meantime, they usually are absolutely MIA. Fakhiri's murder case is case in point.

Noam Chomsky criticizes Human Rights Watch’s pro US government propaganda

In an open letter to the Board of Directors of Human Rights Watch, over 100 experts on Latin America criticized the organization's recent report on Venezuela, A Decade Under Chávez: Political Intolerance and Lost Opportunities for Advancing Human Rights in Venezuela, saying that it "does not meet even the most minimal standards of scholarship, impartiality, accuracy, or credibility." Thus begins a letter signed by More Than 100 Experts (whom) Question Human Rights Watch's Venezuela Report, including Noam Chomsky. It's about time that this phony front for the US State Department's foreign policy objectives, claiming to be a human rights organization, gets taken to task for its reactionary posturing. Too often, many corporate funded 'non governmental organizations' (NGOs) are given a pass on the propaganda they spread, often times in the cause of supporting US governmental interventionism (sanctions, war, etc.) against other countries. Many of these organizations spout a lot of seemingly liberal rhetoric, but their goals are in line with the most reactionary US governmental goals, policies and objectives. It's nice to see Noam Chomsky lending his name to the list of signatories here. That means that many who might not have paid any attention to this criticism of Human Rights Watch, may now look up and take some notice about how this group is funded and operates?

Human Rights Watch lied to world press about who dropped cluster bombs where?

Shame on you, Human Rights Watch! You lied didn't you? You lied to help whip up international support for the US attack on South Ossetia that their Georgian government stooges carried out. At a key moment you spread lies that Russia had dropped cluster bombs on Georgia throughout the world press and now you've been caught at it! Human Rights Watch says Georgia admits to dropping cluster bombs in S. Ossetia This news comes from the Associated Press. What will be interesting is to see if any of the Democratic Party tied liberal sites like Common Dreams and alternet actually print the real news now? My fingers are crossed. The DP leaders are almost as gung ho for whipping up a hysteria against Russia as the McCainites are. Aren't you Biden and Barack? Human Rights Watch will hide away the news now as best they can about how it was the Georgian government that used those cluster bombs. Shame on this group! They were doing their best to add to the Let's Reopen the Cold War hysteria that started to grip the US media, and now... what do they have to say for themselves? Not much.

Human Rights Watch part of a Pentagon propaganda campaign against Russia

That is GEORGE SOROS, main mover and funder behind the self styled "Human Rights Watch." The US government is on a bipartisan campaign to label Russia a brutal imperialist country, blaming it for war crimes by Russia's coming to the defense of its own national defense interests on its Southern border. And heading up its propaganda campaign is the so-called US based and funded human rights organization, Human Rights Watch, which has been bombarding the Western press with accusations against Russia that the country has supposedly been violating international 'norms of civilized warfare' in the recent fighting with Georgia. These HRW accusations are that Russia has been using cluster bombs in the fighting and the one and only source for these claims seems to be Human Rights Watch. Why only they then? And why is this the Human Rights Watch's focus and not the placing of US nuclear weapons systems in Poland to threaten Russia with a nuclear first strike? Is this just the first instance of such imbalance in commentaries and campaigns by Human Rights Watch, or is this an endemic style of theirs? The short answer is that this is far from being the first time that Human Rights Watch has been on the front lines of propaganda warfare for the US government, as has been documented well in the past by many. Edward S. Herman for example, a co-thinker and coauthor with Noam Chomsky, wrote this about Human Rights Watch's record in regard to the US invasion and occupation of Iraq.... 'But despite these and countless other constructive efforts (to avoid a war with Iraq), the organization has at critical times and in critical theaters thrown its support behind the U.S. government’s agenda, sometimes even serving as a virtual public relations arm of the foreign policy establishment. Since the early 1990s this tendency has been especially marked in the organization’s focus on and treatment of some of the major contests in which the U.S. government itself has been engaged—perhaps none more clearly than Iraq and the Balkans. Here, its deep bias is well-illustrated in a March 2002 op-ed by HRW’s executive director, Kenneth Roth, published in the Wall Street Journal under the title “Indict Saddam.”[7] The first thing to note about this commentary is its timing. It was published at a time when the United States and Britain were clearly planning an assault on Iraq with a “shock and awe” bombing campaign and ground invasion in violation of the UN Charter. But Roth doesn’t warn against launching an unprovoked war—though wars of aggression had been judged by the Nuremberg Tribunal to be the “supreme international crime” that “contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole.”[8] On the contrary, Roth's focus was on Saddam’s crimes, and provided a valuable public relations gift to U.S. and British leaders, diverting attention from and putting an apologetic gloss on their prospective supreme international crime.' This is part

Human Rights Watch is a US State Department vehicle, not a genuine human rights organization

The broadening conflict between the US and Russia has brought to the fore the role of the Human Rights Watch in promoting US State Department and Pentagon propaganda. They do this by hiding themselves behind their name, which leads the public to think that they are an independent group of concerned world citizens merely working for human rights observance. However, a brief visit to their web site alone should set off some alarm bells. Human Rights Watch That's right! There is no interest shown by this organization about human rights abuses by the US in Iraq or Afghanistan! Somalia, too, is off their radar! These three countries are not mentioned on their web site! At least not on the front page, and I couldn't locate anything at all on other pages either. When one sees such a thing and thinks about it a tad, then one begins to wonder about where the funding comes from for a group called Human Rights Watch? Here is Source Watch about the funding... 'On January 1, 2005 they obtained a five-year, $15 million challenge grant from the Sandler Family Supporting Foundation. "The Sandlers and their children will donate $3 million a year for five years through the Sandler Family Supporting Foundation as long as Human Rights Watch raises $6 million annually in matching funds from first-time donors or existing donors who increase their contributions." [2]' So who are the Sandler Family and their Sandler Foundation? We have to go to wikipedia to find out this about Herb Sandler. Yes, he is a billionaire Democratic Party promoter of the group, banker and businessman. We need to inform the public more about these billionaire promoters of US State Department human rights propaganda who push the Pentagon program for US world dominance. It is not only Human Rights Watch that is a US State Department vehicle for propaganda dissemination, but also the Carter Foundation, where one can quickly find out (if you think to look?) that it too is head up by another billionaire. I am not talking about Jimmy Carter either, but rather John Jay Moore, who is director of the Board of Trustees of the Carter Center, another human rights constantly blathering group respected so much by so many Democratic Party voting liberal types. So when you hear Human Rights Watch running on about such and such, or so and so, ask yourself, do you really want American billionaires to be defining 'human rights' for the world? Is it up to us to just blindly follow the billionaires like Bill Gates, George Soros, et al when they tell us who are supposedly being bad guys, and who are supposedly respecting human rights throughout the world? These American billionaires run US foreign policy even as they might be temporarily a little bit at odds with one president or the

The US government’s campaign of atrocities inside Ethiopia

The US is the prime backer of the Ethiopian dictatorship and its campaign of terror against native Somali people inside Ethiopia. Human Rights Watch now accuses Ethiopia of war crimes in Ogaden These crimes are Made in the US. Do you care? You should. The US has now degenerated into the world's leading source of terrorism. Thank you, Democratic and Republican Parties. Thank you, America. Aren't you proud, Joe America? Aren't you proud, Jane America? Aren't you proud, Church Goers? Ain't you...proud?
