A harsh war continues in Libya though Western humanitarian liberals and Lefties no longer seem to care now that Gaddafi was removed from power by the US government

Poor Libya. Just months ago it was the cause célèbre of US and other Western Lefty humanitarian imperialists who rushed to support the Pentagon's struggle against a dictator, Moammar Gadhafi, who was also a nationalist outside Washington D.C.'s direct control. How's that going for the Libyan people? Answer- The counter revolutionary gangs who Washington organized now battle among themselves, or more commonly, simply act like gangs do when fighting over turf. The war continues... Recent tribal clashes in western Libya left 105 people dead and some 500 injured, the government has said. ...though humanitarian imperialists no longer care. All is wonderful to them now that Gadhafi has been tortured to death. Also see Reuters... Snatched and detained: Libya's "jungle law" -Let's some that up now/// Human rights groups have documented a series of cases of militias going to people's houses, spiriting them away and, often, beating and torturing them.(One), Ruhuma was released only after his relatives called government security forces for help. They found him a few hours later. "We hear on television that Libya is secure, but after what I have seen, there is no security. How is this possible? There are armed gangs pretending to be revolutionaries," Ruhuma said. "This is some kind of jungle law." and... Al-Amin Al-Sahli was at home when four men from a brigade arrived in a pick-up truck and asked him to go to their headquarters. They did not say why. The 38-year-old, a state employee living in Libya's third largest city Misrata and the brother of a Reuters cameraman, decided to comply and arrived at the base half an hour later. "They took my phone, my things and then led me through the back door to another office. Then they covered my eyes and tied my hands," he said as he lay in hospital after his ordeal. "They started beating me, torturing me. They put me on a device - they called it a Honda Civic," he said, describing it as a metallic frame to which his arms and legs were tied. "They beat me with cables and sticks and everything they had on my back, my legs and all sensitive areas of my body." The 38-year-old, covered in bruises and whip marks, said his detention stemmed from an old argument over a piece of land. He was only freed after other militia groups arrived demanding his release. During his detention, he said he was put in a cell with other prisoners, some of them with broken legs. "I've never seen anything as criminal as this before." US humanitarian imperialists, you all sure supported a fine group of 'revolutionaries' in Libya, now didn't you? Didn't you, especially you... Mr. self described 'unrepentant marxist, Louis Proyect?

War is the neo millennium Jobs Bill

To laud this tragic now banality, Fort Carson has a job fair today, but those most suffering under the neo liberal economy need not apply. To attend the event held on post, potential job applicants for the military industrial sector, need what voter disenfranchisement projects push for election restrictions, a federal or state ID, vehicle registration and proof of insurance, for entry level non-union contractor labor that will barely support that.

Doublespeak about US war against Syrian government continues from Obama White House

Just days after announcing that it was going to openly arm 'Syrian rebels' already armed by the US and its Middle Eastern allies, the Obama White House now claims that it is supposedly against fighting a war against Syria, even though it is already doing so more and more overtly. All this lying and dancing, skipping rope and singing 'human rights' love and yada yada is how the US government always begins its wars, is it not? Nothing new here with the Obama Democratic party crowd at all in this respect. Actually, they make the Bush and Cheney team even look like amateurs in this racket. Following massacre, White House maintains opposition to US military action in Syria. Is that young White House PR man pictured spouting the bullshit really named 'Jay Carney', Obama? How corny the guy seems for a carney! Really.

Why Are Americans in such a rush to treat People like Dogs?

Americans are always in a rush to go bomb countries, arrest people, torture people and treat its illegal immigrants like criminals and trash. Why are Americans so busy trying to jail innocent people rather than go against the real criminals? Is it because they are plain ignorant or because they don't believe they can fight against such an oppressive gang of thugs. Maybe this type of quote is what Americans take to be sound advice: “If you can't beat them. Join them” ? Jim Henson, Jim Henson's Storyteller In any case, even though Americans always pretend to be great defenders of freedom and have used that excuse for basically all wars, it is time for them to wake up and realize that Americans, even those that believe they are liberal, are in fact blood thirsty, racist, and un-compassionate assholes. But maybe I should back up to what I mean. I am in a government class and it is amazing the kind of stupidity that is bluntly thrown around. A couple weeks ago a student proposed that we give more money to Border Patrol and the F.B.I. so that we "can go hunt those criminals down". His excuse for separating families and jailing and throwing people out of the country was that illegal immigrants supposedly don't pay federal taxes and that they rob 7.5 billion dollars from the government in taxes. He proposed that not only do we fine them but also throw them back to their country . He only wanted to have a stronger border patrol on the Mexican border and that we racially profile them so that they can be caught and then thrown out. I was completely surprised when everyone showed support for such an idiot and his even more idiotic ideas. I wonder if they have no imagination to realize that racially profiling creates a hostile environment and one thing that is for sure is that we don't need any more "heroes" screwing people up. His accusation that immigrants steal 7.5 billion dollars from the government is so absurd that I had to contradict it. I did some research and although there are many ways in which the government steals from illegal immigrants, one that completely counters his idea is that in fact the government robs 9 billion dollars from illegal immigrants in Social Security alone! Now, most illegal immigrants are not paid under the table but actually work in jobs and are paid like regular workers. The corporation may know that they are illegal or that they have forged papers, but they let them work anyway because no one will work for such low wages and benefits and such dangerous conditions as someone who can not get a better job, like the illegal immigrant. Obviously, when you work you have to pay taxes. The illegal immigrant has social security taken out along with other taxes. However, when the illegal immigrant goes to collect their social security , the government won't give it to him because he is illegal and

Here’s another one for ANZAC Day…

So, it was on or just before ANZAC Day four years ago, the last veteran of Gallipoli died.   And I truly do get a bit sad and angry, betimes, when these guys are held up as a reason FOR more wars, more militarism, more police state bullshit.  Sometimes I choke when singing  Eric Bogle's song, "The Band Played Waltzing Matilda". There were 2 sections of the song: "I looked at the place, where me legs used to be" and "But as year follow year / More old men... disappear / Someday no one will march there at all." Which happened this February.  The last WWI Veteran, an English nurse who joined when she was 14.  Funny how such things run in cycles.   When she was born, the "old men disappearing" were veterans of the Napoleonic Wars of which we in America got a teenie weenie bit part, not even onstage really, more like the orchestra pit.  We didn't actually win, got a "mutual non-aggression pact" with the British, who among other "losses" they incurred, took a "beating" at Baltimore where they bombed the living Hell out of Fort McHenry, but didn't actually capture it.  Burned Washington D.C. (Why is the White House white? Because after they almost burned it down it was repainted with the cheapest and only paint available) and a small expeditionary force didn't take New Orleans at a time when it wouldn't make a gnat's eyebrow worth of difference because our part of the war was already over.   Kind of like we only got our collective arse beat pink instead of shiny red.  A country song called "The Winner" from 1973 leaps to mind: "But I left that person cursing, nursing Seven broken bones And he only broke... uh, THREE of mine. Guess that makes me the Winner." Gee, we only got whooped a little so let's make Songs out of it.  "The Star Spangled Banner" and "The Halls of Montezuma" have a lot in common there. When those "victories" were accomplished, two other famous nurses were growing up, Clara Barton and Florence Nightingale. Women doctors?  Not in the "civilized" world, you betcha, Red Ryder. They didn't even allow women to work in hospitals, the only "nursing" they were allowed to do professionally involved renting their nipples to rich women who couldn't be bothered to do it for their own kids. Women in the military?  Ha to the Ha-Ha!!  They were "allowing" children into the Army, hanging kids for petty theft, too... long before they accepted women in any kind of uniform.  In fact, on "Haunted London" tours you get the story of a ghost at Old Bailey who was hanged in 1911, when SHE was 8. For those who are actually counting, Bravo!! and those who dropped out in 2nd grade, for you I'll do the math.  The nurse who just left our Vale of Tears was 11 in 1911, and three years later she enlisted unless I'm doing the math wrong.  They started enlisting women as nurses primarily because they were using the men in important jobs

Just how doped up on medications are US soldiers now getting?

Pills, pills, pills! Just how doped up on medications are US soldiers now getting? The Los Angeles Times today has an article called A fog of drugs and war that mentions 'more than 110,000 active-duty Army troops last year were taking prescribed antidepressants, narcotics, sedatives, antipsychotics and anti-anxiety drugs, according to figures recently disclosed to The Times by the U.S. Army surgeon general.' ....(and that) 'Nearly 8% of the active-duty Army is now on sedatives and more than 6% is on antidepressants — an eightfold increase since 2005.' In the not so distant past, no soldier was allowed to go into combat while on any of these types of drugs. Today is quite different though. The report continues and states that ... 'Follow-up appointments in the battlefield are often few and far between. Soldiers are sent out on deployment typically with 180 days' worth of medications, allowing them to trade with friends or grab an entire fistful of pills at the end of an anxious day. And soldiers with injuries can easily become dependent on narcotic painkillers. "The big difference is these are people who have access to loaded weapons, or have responsibility for protecting other individuals who are in harm's way," said Grace Jackson, a former Navy staff psychiatrist who resigned her commission in 2002, in part out of concerns that military psychiatrists even then were handing out too many pills.' What a mess the ruling elites' constant war making makes of soldiers. And many of these soldiers were not of the most stable material to begin with. Perhaps it's simply time to reevaluate whether we should be engaging in all this war for the 1%? Perhaps.... you think?

Behind the UN’s messing over Somalia and Haiti, lies the US government

The UN, with the US behind them, just can't stay out of the news completely about how the two together are royally screwing over the people of both Somalia and Haiti. In Haiti, the UN has had continually been involved in the sexual abuse of Haitians and also in bringing them a virulent strain of cholera from Nepal. See Peacekeepers in Haiti face sex attack inquiry, and Two peacekeepers sentenced to a year in prison with hard labour after a trial found them guilty of sexual abuse. Wow! A whole year in jail? The UN soldiers wouldn't have gotten that if they had been stationed as 'piecekeepers' inside Congo! But let the Haitian OCCUPATION go on and on and on! And in Somalia, the UN has been very busy spreading widespread hunger and chaos, too, Haitians. So the US and UN together love other peoples just as well as they are screwing yourselves! An odious affair: The UN in Somalia Makes one proud to be an American doesn't it? And so very proud to be backing up the US corporate government's 'United Nations'! The UN- the Pentagon's clean up squad!

Despite the UN brokered ‘peace’ truce, the US and US Arab allies to continue war on Syria’s people

The New York Times today reports... ISTANBUL — 'The United States and dozens of other countries moved closer on Sunday to direct intervention in the fighting in Syria, with Arab nations pledging $100 million to pay opposition fighters and the Obama administration agreeing to send communications equipment to help rebels organize and evade Syria’s military, according to participants gathered here.' (Continue to NYT reporting... U.S. Joins Effort to Equip and Pay Rebels in Syria.) ...One might add though that the US government is not 'joining' anything it hasn't been behind organizing itself from the very beginning.

Obama’s lying claim to be for world nuclear disarmament

Only a slime ball like Obama with his Democratic Party-military-industrial complex behind him would be capable of pulling off the pretense of calling for world nuclear disarmament while stoking the flames for a new US Middle East war to be begun at one and the same time! How does he get away with such garbage? It's because the liberals let him, that's why? And the Republicans enable the Democrats by only putting forward total morons in the Presidential race to run against Obama. Are they running against him or with him though? Sad to say, but we only have a dictatorship system where the two parties work as one. We do not have a democracy in the US at all.

Battle for Hearts & Minds of Afghan and Iraqi people has been lost by US troops

Does anybody in the US really believe that the American military has won over the Hearts and Minds of the people in Afghanistan and Iraq, let alone in other parts of the Middle East?   Our government's military is a corporate modeled occupation army and not one fit to over Hearts and Minds of those whose lands they occupy. For example, read Just Plain Stupidity Or A Failure By Design? ... Burning the Quran; Urinating On Dead Bodies ... In that commentary the author talks about the 'brainless' behavior of the US occupation forces. But could it be any other way? Racist military men and women hardly are the best conduit for winning people over to supporting the US. They are just over there to do a 'job', make a 'career' for themselves in the US military, and then get back home and grab some of the extras that the military offers up to its hires.

The Republicratic Party’s two fake ‘Peace’ candidates, Ron Paul & Obama

Have Americans ever been so deluded before? At the last Occupy Colorado Springs activity I was at, person after person came up to me as I held a sign saying PEACE and informed me all knowingly that 'The War' was now all over with. When I replied to them that it surely was not, they shook their heads with disgust that I should be so ignorant as to think that! And even as the US is at war with much of the world and preparing for new 'interventions' in multiple places, many of the American public seemingly believe that the Republicrats are presenting them with 2 outstanding and shining Peace candidates for the presidency. Have we all fallen down the rabbit hole into Alice's Wonderland? I begin to wonder? Here is the New York Times trying to pull the wool over our eyes with this story about Obomber, The supposed Peace President in his starring role... Obama Warns Against ‘Loose Talk of War’ , as if by talking out of both sides of his mouth at once, that somehow can make him Super Peace Man while the Republican opposition mainly rattle their wannabe collective sabers! But the Republicans have their fake-o Peace guy, too, and he is the Love Business, Ayn Randite from Texas called Ron Paul. Ron, per his Vote Me website is claiming to represent the Tea Party much better than Rick Santorum is... SUPPORTING SANTORUM MEANS REJECTING THE TEA PARTY, as if anybody in their not Right Winger mind would ever believe that the Tea Party is pro Peace? He, too, talks out of both sides of his mouth, just like Barack. Too damn weird that so many Americans continue to see Ron Paul, grand saviour of the Tea Party Movement, as being an 'antiwar' sort of guy! But they do! They really do. Unbelievable delusion, is it not? Here is more from the vote Ron Paul website... 'Kathleen Miller, wife of popular former Tea Party U.S. Senate candidate, “proudly” stands with Paul- ANCHORAGE, Alaska 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul was endorsed today by Kathleen Miller, wife of Joe Miller, a popular Tea Party Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in the state of Alaska during the 2010 election.' What a strange Peace Now guy this Ron Paul must be? Here he is once again per his web site... 'In Congress, Ron Paul voted to authorize military force to hunt down Osama bin Laden and authored legislation to specifically target terrorist leaders and bring them to justice.' So he backed those drones that have been killing innocent people as often as not, in foreign countries though it is against international law! He backs those drones that have killed multiple innocent enough children, and did it while preparing to run as the Tea bagger version of the Peace candidate! How can so many Americans buy this kool

Why do they kill? Who orders the killing? Why do the grunts do what they do?

“Who has given the license to kill and in what court? Who has declared that they can hit anyone they like?”   “How many ‘high level targets’ could there possibly be?”   “What kind of democracy is America,” Safdar asks, “where people do not ask these questions?”   From Kathy Kelly's commentary on CounterPunch today “All of us ask, ‘Why?’ They kill people with computers and they can’t tell us why." They also kill people with plain old fashioned bombs and guns too. Why does the US occupy Afghanistan? Why do the American people mainly sit passively by like a herd of sheep?

Hollywood to rest of world: Whatever.

It used to be the effusive "You love me. You really love me" but the Oscars post-Guy Fawkes have lifted Hollywood's green curtain. Meryl Streep may have thought she was retweeting the audience when she pulled the Federer/Schumacher victor's lament, but what was that really saying? A world audience appreciates genius in the performance arts, equal parts haughty, but Hollywood's standard for a thinking-man's actor is clearly not deep. Hollywood puts the silver shimmer on the corporate media pro-war propaganda, and when its spokes-glamor catch a whiff of discontent from the masses, their reaction is as genuine as Sally Fields, says the 1% to the 99%: "whatever."

The US War against Syria is part of the ongoing US War against Iran

The US pretends to be part of a 'liberation movement' against Assad of Syria but supports the one candidate/ one party dictatorships of Bahrain, where the US Navy fleet docks, and Yemen, which is part of US ally Saudi Arabia's hunting to kill, Shia Muslims battlefield. Apparently not all dictatorships are created equally for the Obama Administration, since some are supported and others not. So why support the overthrow of Assad in Syria, Obama? You and the Democrats are doing the Republican Party's work once again, one can easily see. And once again, the US government/ military is setting one section of Muslims against another, which is like if a foreign power was promoting sectarian violence and war between Catholics and Protestants, inside the US and European countries. Nasty, hateful business, in short. And it's all part of D.C.s drive for regime change in Iran, too. The picture of Hillary Clinton arriving today in Tunis to push this US allied, Syrian terrorist warfare inside Syria, illustrates perfectly exactly what Washington D.C. and the Barack Obama Administration are doing to YET ANOTHER foreign country. They are attempting to destroy Syria by organizing opposition gangs to a government regime D.C. wants to overthrow. So when will the American people forcefully reject this lust for constant war of the US business community? The time to do it is now, and not some seemingly distant time in the future when the chickens will eventually come home to roost for 'our' USA (business) First sins. We increasingly live in a sick, Nazi like society in the US, as this is what constant warfare does to a people. It reduces us, in the US, into being a completely morally bankrupt society, just like the German people were like under the Nazi regime. See Tunis police beat back protesters at Syria meeting for more info about the Obama Administration's organizing of terrorism against the Syrian people, many of who support the pro-Iranian Assad government.

The Colorado Springs Occupy Movement needs to burn some Bibles out at Fort Carson perhaps?

'The U.S. government and the American commander of NATO-led forces in Afghanistan apologized after Afghan laborers found charred copies of the Koran while collecting rubbish at the sprawling Bagram Airbase, about an hour's drive north of Kabul.' See Reuters Six killed, many wounded in Afghan Koran protests. A fake D.C. 'apology' is not enough though. The US soldiers deliberately disrespected Occupied Afghanistan and deliberately insulted the Afghan people who are overwhelmingly Muslim, and the US soldiers just don't care much how they trample on these poor peoples of the world they are hired guns to oppress. So what if Occupy Colorado Springs were to burn some Bibles so that these soldiers headed out to Afghanistan don't just forget and repeat with some new atrocity or another against the Afghan population? What if also the American Antiwar Movement threatened to burn some Bibles out at all the US military installations around the US? Wouldn't that get the message through to the US troops that some of us American people are just as outraged at 'our' US occupying army contempt for other peoples of the world as the Afghan people are themselves? Yes, I think it would get that point across rather sharply! It would also bring into light the entire issue of just how wrong it is for the US to be militarily occupying Afghanistan. It simply really is a criminal act our country as a whole is engaged in as a whole, and we should be utterly ashamed of what 'our' troops are doing, and not proud about them at all. Shame on the US for being 'holy book' burners! The US troops knew just exactly what they were doing and chose to disrespect the people who hold another religion than their own.

Why is the US engaging in war to overthrow Assad in Syria?

Why is the US trying to overthrow both Iran and Syria's governments? And so is al-Qaida evidently, as the Associated Press reports here- In complicating move, al-Qaida backs Syrian revolt... That makes the US government and al-Qaida once again allies in their manipulations against Russia! Remember? That's how the US armed Osama bin Laden once upon a time.

Repulsive liberal ‘progressive’ hypocrisy on US warmaking

'Beyond that, Obama has used drones to kill Muslim children and innocent adults by the hundreds. He has refused to disclose his legal arguments for why he can do this or to justify the attacks in any way. He has even had rescuers and funeral mourners deliberately targeted. As Hayden said: ”Right now, there isn’t a government on the planet that agrees with our legal rationale for these operations, except for Afghanistan and maybe Israel.” But that is all perfectly fine with most American liberals now that their Party’s Leader is doing it: Fully 77 percent of liberal Democrats endorse the use of drones, meaning that Obama is unlikely to suffer any political consequences as a result of his policy in this election year. Support for drone strikes against suspected terrorists stays high, dropping only somewhat when respondents are asked specifically about targeting American citizens living overseas, as was the case with Anwar al-Awlaki, the Yemeni American killed in September in a drone strike in northern Yemen. The Post‘s Greg Sargent obtained the breakdown on these questions and wrote today: The number of those who approve of the drone strikes drops nearly 20 percent when respondents are told that the targets are American citizens. But that 65 percent is still a very big number, given that these policies really should be controversial. And get this: Depressingly, Democrats approve of the drone strikes on American citizens by 58-33, and even liberals approve of them, 55-35. Those numbers were provided to me by the Post polling team. It’s hard to imagine that Dems and liberals would approve of such policies in quite these numbers if they had been authored by George W. Bush.' The proceeding was taken from Glenn Greenwald's commentary Repulsive progressive hypocrisy published in Salon Magazine, and YES, the liberal Democrats I personally know are a group of hypocrites when it comes to what they do and do not do, while supposedly opposing American made wars. Greenwald has them sized up right IMO. His is a courageous voice.

Are Soldiers ‘baby killers’?

Are soldiers 'baby killers'? This is an interesting question for many reasons, one of which is simply because nobody I know has ever actually used this particular accusation phrased in exactly this particular manner against US troops. But that doesn't stop many Right Wingers from becoming absolutely hysterical against US Leftists when we open our mouths against THEIR wars, where they then go on to often accuse us Leftists of supposedly calling US soldiers 'baby killers'. That charge is some sort of high crime in their seemingly rather clueless heads, that leads the Right Wing mind to thinking it perfectly alright to personally threaten others with physical violence and demands from them to 'shut you up'. It seems that to the Right Wing mind, the American troops trained to kill in battle are some sort of totally fragile and childlike creature that needs some sort of super special protection, or else the soldier will supposedly shatter into a million and one pieces under the effects of the rather mythical diagnosis of 'PTSD' that is now all the style to say that so many US soldiers have. Yes, the effects of being a US soldier wear hard on their often tiny little consciences, so we in the general public are simply told to shut up about talking about what their soldier 'jobs' actually consist of doing. Curiously enough though, the charge that soldiers were 'baby killers' is just what the Pentagon itself used to start off its multiple assaults/WARS on the Iraqi people. Apparently the Pentagon itself thought nothing at the time, of accusing OTHER soldiers of being 'baby killers'. However, the current Right Wing rabble seems to remember nothing about what I am referring to at all. Truly a spectacular case of selective amnesia by a KKK like mob! So let's refer back to the Pentagon propaganda of the Poppy Bush Era, ala 1990... ...from the Christian Science Monitor comes this personal story of how the events of that time unfolded to one American, and how the Pentagon accused soldiers of being 'baby killers'- Read below. 'More than 10 years later, I can still recall my brother Sean's face. It was bright red. Furious. Not one given to fits of temper, Sean was in an uproar. He was a father, and he had just heard that Iraqi soldiers had taken scores of babies out of incubators in Kuwait City and left them to die. The Iraqis had shipped the incubators back to Baghdad. A pacifist by nature, my brother was not in a peaceful mood that day. "We've got to go and get Saddam Hussein. Now," he said passionately. I completely understood his feelings. Although I had no family of my own then, who could countenance such brutality? The news of the slaughter had come at a key moment in the deliberations about whether the US would invade Iraq. Those who watched the non-stop debates on

The Battle of the Strait of Hormuz might be just about to begin?

Two countries, Iran and the United Arab Emirates, lie opposite each other at the Strait of Hormuz, and those two countries have enjoyed a long history of relative peace with each other as compared to the situation of many other areas in the Middle East. However, the US and its European allies, France and Britain may be just about to send that peace up into bloody flames? Britain, America and France have just sent six warships, led by a 100,000 ton aircraft carrier right through the highly sensitive waters of the Strait of Hormuz and to right offshore of Iran. Britain, US and France send warships through Strait of Hormuz Almost half a million Iranian expats reside in the UAE (United Arab Emirates) as part of the total population of 8 and 1/2 million there. However, those Iranians have few rights in the UAE, as these are basically states run as monarchies for the international oil companies. The UAE consists of 7 separate 'emirates' (states) which are united politically. The most famous of the 7 emirates is Dubai, which is known as being the de facto oil and financing center for the Western Oil Company Dictatorship over the Middle East. English is the main language in use here, since many more inhabitants speak English than speak Arabic. There are tens of thousands of Brits as well as tens of thousands of Americans wandering this robotic city of Dubai. And there are hundreds of thousands of imported worker slaves that have entered here, too, from the Indian sub continent, the Philippines, etc. In fact, only about 20% of the UAE are indigenous natives to the area. Others have few rights, as even most of the indigenous Arabs as well don't either. The UAE is to Iran what Kuwait was/ is to Iraq. If we remember back into time, Kuwait was once an ally of Saddam led Iraq, financing Iraq billions upon billions so that Hussein could wage his US backed war against Iran, which was one giant slaughter for both sides. Then the West had Kuwait refuse to allow a beaten Iraq credit to stabilize itself with post Iran-Iraq War. That's what started the conflict between Iraq and Kuwait that led eventually to the US attacking Iraq militarily, and eventually overthrowing Saddam Hussein and occupying the Iraq. Today, the UAE has been just that sort of 'friend' to Iran that Kuwait once was to Iraq, and one that the West can bend to its will (as it always has), and make into a weapon to use eventually against Iran. When the US led forces begin their attack on Iran, the Strait of Hormuz will turn into being the center battleground of the Iranian response to that attack. It is very likely that the UAE will be part of this battleground, and with that, the friendship between Iran and the UAE

Cain being charged on sex, but not the Murder and Robbery and Slavery

He's paid to support War, it's the base of Capital. Now they've got some sex accusations brought to bring him down. As heinous as rape is, or the statutory rape of an employee or job candidate as a condition of being hired... There's the literally countless murders of civilians including children done to support the lavish lifestyle of the Corporate Class. It would pale in comparison to even one such wanton murder. It's drinking from the same fount, though, War, Slavery, Prostitution, Rape... but so far there's a thunderous silence booming from the Right over any and all of those issues. To raise the issue that War is equivalent to any of the other crimes, or even a solid foundation to mask and enable them, has been political suicide since the time of the Athenians. The beating of War drums awakens and energizes people who only vote on emotion, and Capital is subsidized by War. It cannot survive without war, it's not a self-sustaining system as the "Invisible Hand Free Market" proponents claim. To take away another persons freedoms, rights or properties by force is called Robbery, yet that's what Capital does by renaming "robbery" as "regime change", declaring whole nations to be "outlaws" or "rogues" because they don't allow Corporate ownership of their national holdings. Just how DID "our" oil get under THEIR sand? Capitalists like Cain, and McCain, other persons who are paid to champion and advance the so-called self-supporting "free" market, are collecting welfare on a massive scale. They LIE by renaming conquest as liberation, Servile knee-jerk enforced "patriotism" as Freedom, using the word Nationalism to justify taking away the national sovereignty of everybody else. They embroil themselves in the Organized Crime that IS Corporate Rule. But to come out and SAY it, means you'll never be elected anywhere and you'll never get the privilege of being one of the Corporate Slaves. Not a bad trade off.

Homunculus Again

This time in Mississippi. The laws attempted by State Senator Bobby Franklin of Georgia would have made even wearing a condom into Capital Murder, and would place burden of proof that a woman wasn't using contraception including the Infamous Trojan, squarely on that woman. Now Mississippi citizens are displaying a similar level of ignorance with a similar quagmire (or is it tar baby?) of a law. If a woman who is married or known by the community to be sexually active, and not bearing children, would have to prove to the courts that she wasn't practicing contraception. Mississippi is right behind Texas in the percentage of people getting food assistance and AFDC. Just, you know, incidentally and by the way. And is scheduling cuts in public health care, so women would have to prove they're not deliberately remaining childless at their own expense. It's just so very wonderful to see my fellow "christians" behaving with so much compassion. It would if strictly enforced make War illegal because War Causes Miscarriage which is medically termed Spontaneous Abortion. However, an Aerial Bombardment would make in NOT spontaneous but externally induced, and since the U.S. Air Force and the RAF demonstrated that in world war two it would lend whole new depth to the term Babykillers being used against the War Pigs. That's the GOOD news and about the only good news available in the whole mess. The Bad News is the War Pigs, once they have a country "pacified" would merely condemn any civilians who "chose" to be born in a potential war-zone, as in: any place in the world which has oil... and say that it's the mothers' faults for living in a place the Air Force wanted to bomb.

Dropping bombs is self defense

Here's a page from the Little Golden Book of Airplanes, which taught children in 1953 that "Bib big bombers carry bombs, guns and rockets. The big bombers help guard our country." Unless kids understood the concept of nuclear deterrence, they might have wondered how dropping bombs on other lands helped guard OUR country? Even contemporary books about the US military use "defensive" to describe weapons that are obviously used to attack. The Corvair B-36 was an intercontinental bomber distinguished by the six weird pusher props, twelve cannons, a crew of 22 and it carried the first thermonuclear bombs. The B-36 never received an official name because the Air Force wanted to call it the "Peacemaker" but couldn't overcome the objections of church groups who considered that idea beyond the pale. Today the USAF aeronautic death dealers are named "Predator" and "Reaper" and American churchgoers are cheering front and center.
