Boo-McHaa-McHoo, Kids NOT being McBranded

McDonalds is upset. Their Corporate "News" McPartners are upset. San Francisco voters ratified a law requiring that toys only be placed in McHappy McMeals that don't exceed the recommended daily allowance of calories. Which, the vast majority of their food not only exceeds but doubles the recommended daily caloric, fat, sugars, and salt intake. Essentially the "Happy Meal" is a branding gimmick, sure, get the Stupid People to actually PAY for extra advertising. Mattel and Hasbro, makers of Violence Toys which promote militaristic stereotypes for boys and misogynistic stereotypes for girls, pay to have their "toys" advertising the full size and more expensive toys inserted into the kids' meals. Not just teaching the kids that overeating on the one hand and toys that promote sedentary activities instead of the running, walking, action-packed ACTIVE activities that human children are naturally suited to doing during play time. The McNews corporate whores here in town said the KIDS would be unhappy because of that, but really, did anybody force the PARENTS to not reward their kids with toys for eating a REAL meal with REAL food instead of the Fat-Food garbage? I mean, really, does the Fat Food Industry really really really need to bribe the kids to eat their Deep Fried Grease? Do the parents need to bribe their kids to poison themselves? Does a supposedly impartial journalist like News 11 (Colorado Springs local) anchors did, have to be so blatantly partial and commercial in their promotion of Death to American kids? Parents, if you want to reward your kids for bad behavior, like dietary habits that are nothing short of Suicidal, you should really be ashamed. But I get this sickening feeling that the guilty parties aren't ashamed. I know that some will actually pop off with Religious condemnations of San Francisco doing such a bad ol' meanie thing as telling a Major Corporation not to poison their kids, mentally and physically, by selling them garbage and rewarding them for eating with.. more garbage. Some of the toys also market the mind-destroying Disney Paradigm to kids. Sit and watch, kids, let the Nice TV tell you what you must think say and do. The Nice TV tells you not to bother doing anything, just sit and watch... watch and sit... until your parental units drive you to the Nice "restaurant" to buy more food in one meal than you need in a whole day, and to buy more advertising for Mr Nice TV to tell you to sit and watch, watch and sit, with a pause every now and then for eating Garbage. Soylent Green is People.

Americans fail survival: “Par ce-que c’est vous etes beaucoup Putains.”

My original title was going te be “Survival Show teaches non-survival”, we’ve been watching Discovery Channel nature shows, today there was a show about swarms of various animals. One of the segments showed these flies that every 28.3 days (lunar cycle) float up from Lake Victoria in Africa. Showed among other things the villagers round about eating the flies, cooked of course, free protein is a luxury ticket item in most of the world. Miss Johnnie is kind of squeamish about things like that, but... the real story was this commercial for another show, “Dual Survival” which aired three times during the “swarm” show. Showing a team-survival situation with “two men with vastly different styles of survival” One of them was this Swede with Viking braids hanging down to his belly. And the other, an American. The American was doing plenty of whining, bitching and sniveling about eating grubs and slugs and bugs. Reason I know he’s American, just from the two short commercials featuring him, he says “No, I’m only going to eat Red Meat from four-legged mammals, because I’m an AMERICAN!” Uhh... yeah. So are grizzly bears and THEY eat a lot of bugs, slugs and grubs. Protein doesn’t come cheap. Or easy. The only reason America happens to have a lot of Red Meat right now is all the wars of conquest from the past two and a half centuries. It’s cost us our ecology twice and our economy several times. Now it’s giving us health problems the rest of the world could only envy, an Overdose of Protein, Sugar and Fats. It’s called “diabetes” which is not one strictly defined disease. It’s a chemical imbalance that affects the endocrine system. That’s the system of organs and glands which regulate the chemical balance of the entire rest of the body. The organelles we’re most used to seeing as the “root” of the problem are in the pancreas and are called the Islets of Langherhans, I probably misspelled that last word. They regulate the production of Insulins and Ketones. The insulins are necessary to digest or at least dispose of sugars from the body. Too much insulin, or too little, either way it’s toxic. The Ketones, proteins and fats.. and insulin. So with a high-fat, high sugar, high protein diet that our bodies were never meant to survive upon, SURPRISE... It’s a triple whammy. The ketones also adversely affect the kidneys, and the liver. And the heart. Starting the chain reaction (more like a spiral of chains) with a simple overdose of what would otherwise be necessary parts of our diet... just, you know, in Smaller Amounts... If you’d care to visualize it , think of all your vital organs declaring war on each other. Then there’s the OTHER side... what is the (smaller portions of) Proteins, Sugars and Fats supposed to fuel? An exercise regimen that used to be imposed simply by the act of securing those (smaller amounts of) Proteins, Sugars and Fats. Mostly it involved a

Think of it as enhanced evolution, Un-natural selection, cull the gulls…

The debate turns now to whether or not to rescue marine animals from the oil. Pelicans and gulls specifically, but there's more. Of course, animals that took millions of years to be what they are, should learn to mutate themselves a lot faster. Seagulls and turtles and manatees and sea-otters, fish, crustaceans, jellyfish, plankton, all need to mutate in a matter of days rather than eons. True, it would be a LOT simpler for the HUMAN species to modify our behavior, not set our entire economic plan on one focus, like Fossil Fuels. The plan with a built in Self-Destruct button that gets armed and starts ticking away once we drill the first well. Of course that first well was "well" over a century ago, BUT there's still time to ramp down the madness, get back to a point where we can actually turn off he Self Destruct switch. Of course, it would take eliminating some of the things the Oil Industry advertising partners have been selling us as "essential to the American Lifestyle". Things like easily available in large quantities "food" that our bodies don't have the ability to process correctly, at least not in the concentrations which are being sold to us as a "normal" diet. Thus diabetes, colon cancers, increased. Also increased are heart disease, respiratory, kidney, thyroid, liver, just every part of the Human Biotic System that depends on a certain chemical balance that the McDiet not only doesn't provide but actively disrupts. The private automobile, sure, if you could afford to drive it, but, really, the cost to The Rest Of Us to maintain YOUR "right" to a private car is long since out of control. Witness, for instance the Oil Spills. Witness the wars being fought to secure more Oil, publicly subsidized wars. If the person driving sole occupant in a car made for 8 actually had to Pay His Way he wouldn't be able to do it. The ultimate Welfare Cadillac. We're required to provide "cheap" oil to the Consumer or be called Terrorist and Traitor. A system where everybody in the entire world is required to chip in to make a really expensive activity "affordable".... for a privileged few. People in nations where starvation is in the top 5 causes of death have to chip in for YOUR automotive pleasure. But things like Public Transportation and subsidizing better forms of energy harvesting and use, that the bad ol' wicked "Socialism". Summary of that, Public support of the entire population, BAD. The entire World Population support of an elite minority GOOD. Public Support of Mega Corporations like McDonalds altering the agricultural economy, GOOD. Public criticism of the fact that this impoverishes other PEOPLE in other nations, to the point of people who live on gigantic plantation style "food" factory farms starve.... that's Bolshevism and BAD. The Oil Corporations have been for the past year putting out some very expensive publicity campaigns saying that actually requiring the Corporations (mainly) and the Consumers to PAY what isn't anywhere near the Real Cost

US and allies try to starve Zimbabweans into submission

The United Nations has just cut off funds to 4,000,000 starving Zimbabweans in line with US/ Great Britain made sanctions against that country. UN cuts food rations in Zimbabwe The goal is to starve Zimbabweans into total submission to these 2 imperialist countries. Don't look for a bunch of Hollywood actresses and college campus teenyboppers to come to Save Zimbabwe from the US and Europe, since it's off their radar screens to do so.

Food riots, economic sustainability, and the historical economic rate of growth

As the world moves toward recession/ depression, dragged down by the bursting US bubble economy, food riots are beginning to occur in multiple locales around the planet. The inflation rate in 2007 for food staple prices has been around 40%. See WFP food aid costs up "dramatically" in past weeks for the figure. The world population is currently growing at something less than 2% per year. The annual world population growth rate reached its peak in the late 1960s, when it was at 2% and above. The rate of increase has therefore almost halved since its peak of 2.19 percent, which was reached in 1963, to the current 1.15%. The annual population growth rate is currently declining and is projected to continue to decline in the coming years, but the pace of the future change is uncertain (1). Currently, it is estimated that it will become less than 1% by 2020 and less than 0.5% by 2050. See world meter population information from where these percentage figures were copied. So what is the historical capitalist economic rate of growth? That is the rate of growth needed for capitalism to not go into an economic down spin, and that necessary percent of growth is considered to be about 3% by most economists. Note that this rate of growth needed in GDP is actually higher than the rate of population growth. In other words, even without a growth in world population capitalism needs to continually increase production to maintain the numbers of jobs given to the workers, or employment of them. However, it is this increasing production of goods (most of them quite unnecessary goods) that is decimating the ecology of the planet, and not mere population growth alone. What we have is a world economy that is not feeding the world's population adequately, is not maintaining the world's ecological stability, not providing employment security, and yet is still expanding, which without that expansion in production of goods it would go into an economic crisis of increased world unemployment! When rates of annual capitalist expansion of GDP go below the average annual rate of economic growth by capitalism, that is called an economic depression, and leads to world political instability, such as we had in the '30s. That is the ebb in the capitalist business cycle, as opposed to the peak. The increasing number of riots and upheaval around the world due to the rising world food prices, is simply the first signs that capitalist economic activity is not meeting major human needs once again. Do you even feel secure right here in the US? Enough said then. The capitalist business has you in its clutches, and in fact, has us all in its clutches as it tears the planet's ecology apart. It would be impossible to make this monster economically sustainable. It just isn't. And

The United Nations starves the poor in Haiti

What a pathetic spectacle, the great supposed defender of all humanity, all nations, and respecter of human rights everywhere... the United Nations... has its military now defending the national palace of a US installed group of thugs in Haiti. Yes, defending these thugs against the Haitian people who are demanding food and freedom from starvation. This is what US control over the United Nations Security Council has led to. See Hungry mob attacks Haiti palace Still, most all US liberals seem to continue to hold some sort of religious belief that the United Nations is some sort of Great and Good Daddy. Liberals have to be some of the most backward, uneducated, and misled types around. Don' they get it? The United Nations is the grand leader of colonialism these days. Surprised? Well why on earth? That's what destroyed the League of Nations, and it is destroying the US run United Nations, too. Get these sorry ass United Nations troops out of Haiti, get them out of Afghanistan, and get them out of Iraq and all the other myriad places the US government leads them into occupying. The United Nations today is no solution to the problems the world faces, but is instead part of the overall problem. This is a 'world' governmental body that needs to be dissolved NOW, and not reconstructed in any way even remotely close to the way the current UN is structured at this time. The UN is not now democracy in action, but imperialism, totalitarianism, and the rule of the rich over the poor in power. Liberals get over it! You should be calling for getting the United Nations out of countries, dissolving it, and never ever supporting the damn organization. Wake up and see the new situation today, because you sure aren't battling the old John Birch Society back in the '50s and '60s any more! The United Nations simply is not a human rights organization in the least, and the Catholic Church would be easier to 'reform' than the UN. Stop being so stupid by defending this organization.

The Crawlers of St. Giles’s

This photograph by John Thomson appeared in a monthly magazine Street Life in London in 1877. Journalist Adolphe Smith added this caption: "Huddled together on the workhouse steps in Short’s Gardens, those wrecks of humanity, the Crawlers of St. Giles’s, may be seen both day and night seeking mutual warmth and mutual consolation in their extreme misery." Crawler was the rather pragmatic description of street people whose subsistence provided them not enough energy to walk. They crawled about city sidewalks "lacking even the energy to beg." They were not unique to England during the industrial revolution. Historians record the same term applied to prone indigents in Boston and New York. I had quite a time finding references to Crawlers online. The once pervasive term is now to be found only in specialized history texts about poverty. Do you think this disregard for fellow human beings cannot happen again? In many undeveloped countries there is such untreated poverty. But the Crawler phenomenon describes less the abject poverty than the indifference shown by those who had health and food and stepped over them. Today we count on social welfare programs to prevent such misery, but are we not steadily dismantling the safety net? Every time I see a report of someone being rejected from a hospital for not having health insurance coverage, when I see people being left to get by on the street, when I see the indifference of philanthropists to the hardship of the have-nots, I think about the Crawlers.
