Should the London Olympics remember the 1972 Munich Holocaust? Do you?

America can't memorialize the 1972 Munich hostage killings, because that act of terrorism was not unlike our own airstrikes or special ops raids, against purported enemy combatants, off the field of combat, except we don't even try to kidnap them alive.   Of course the Israeli Olympic wrestlers and weightlifters killed in Munich in 1972 should be memorialized. But to call the deaths a massacre pretends the German police meant their ambush to kill everyone.* What happened at the 1972 Olympics is being recalled as the "Munich Massacre" but even the propagandists tweaking the Wikipedia entry don't have the temerity to doff the disclaimer that "massacre" is the informal name. Shall we recall what happened? On September 5, 1972, PLO terrorists infiltrated the Olympic village and tried to kidnap Israeli hostages to exchange for 234 Palestinians held by Israel. Two Israelis fought back and were killed. Next the eight gunman and their nine captives were led into an ambush at a military airfield. After a 1 & 1/2 hour gun battle on the tarmac, trapped under the helicopters by police snipers, the PLO killed four of their captives. A police investigation revealed the remaining five captives may have died in sniper crossfire. This detail is disputed, but a secret financial settlement was sought and reached with German authorities. So, was Munich a massacre or a botched hostage rescue? Do words matter? The Mossad's retaliatory murder of an innocent Moroccan waiter in Norway, mistaken for the Munich mastermind, is trivialized as the Lillehammer Affair. Proponents want an Olympic tribute to the Munich Massacre "so that it never happens again." Boy does that ever have a familiar ring to it. Look out for an Elie Wieselish re-tailoring of the original narrative, Steven Spielberg's Munich being only a recent example of a myth-makeover remembrance. To begin with, the PLO kidnappers were a faction of the PLO called the Black September Brigade, named after the Black September purge of the PLO from Jordan. This ouster, aided by the US and fought by Syria, was initiated by Israel's attack on the village of Karameh, in which the PLO suffered 200 killed, to the IDF's 28. Not a massacre because 150 PLO fighters were taken captive. Wikistorians taking liberties with translation are calling the PLO group "Black September", with the effect of obfuscating the event which preceded the Munich operation. The Munich raid to seize hostages was actually named "Operation Iqrit and Kafr Bir'im" after the Christian villages of Kafr Bir'im and Iqrit, ethnically cleansed by Israel in 1948. Villagers were granted right of return by Israel's supreme court, but overruled by the military. An attempt to return had been repulsed by police as recently as August 1972, as the Olympics began. Next, the identity of the Israeli athletes is always left incomplete. With the exception of the 18 year old Russian immigrant, all the Israeli hostages were IDF soldiers who'd participated in military acts against Palestine, Egypt, lebanon, Jordan, or Syria, and so are not exactly the innocent civilians of current

Mad-ministration scared now…

Tunisia, Lebanon, now Cairo. They're said to be the lynchpins in "Middle East Peace" meaning Pox Americana. Somehow ONLY the U.S. is capable of determning peace terms WTF? Maybe there IS a huge disconnect in perception here in America. (Ok, "maybe" is just being polite) but going around conquering nations isn't exactly a stabilizing mechanism. Setting up puppet dictators in those conquered nations, conquered either through overt war like in Iraq and Afghanistan and Greece and South Korea, or through Diplomacy coupled with assassinations. That won't lead to peace either. There was a saying in the Military "Peace, through superior firepower" well, that's not peace, that's conquest. You can only force people to do your will for a limited time. Sooner or later, usually sooner, it comes roaring back and bites you square on your arse. Now Obama and Mrs Clinton are treading a fine line, do we overtly back the demonstrators, in the hopes that they'll be nice to our Slaverymongers Ambassadors of goodwill and freedom, or back Mubarak in the off chance that he'll be able to suppress this rebellion (doing it on behalf of his Washington UberMeisters) and "We" would have to make nice to him. All to keep up a maintainable position in VietRaquiStan. Synonymous terms: Fat chance, slim chance, not a snowball's chance in Hell.

Colorado reps support Israel war crimes

All 7 of Colorado's US representatives voted to put their congressional stamp of approval on Israel's war crimes in Gaza, joining 337 more yeas for House Resolution 867, Calling on the President and the Secretary of State to oppose unequivocally any endorsement or further consideration of the ďReport of the United Nations Fact Finding Mission on the Gaza Conflict.Ē What are US Congressmen doing standing between Israel and every other nation (except for the US and its territories) united in wishing to enforce international law? In Jerusalem, ‘God’s Chosen People’ want it all

... 'Binyamin Netanyahu, Israel's prime minister, has said that his government is unwilling to negotiate on the status of Jerusalem as a joint Israel-Palestinian capital.' See FOCUS: PLANNING FOR PEACE- Jerusalem's myriad divisions Today, the Jewish mayor of Israeli run Jerusalem comes to Colorado on a public relations visit to encourage the idea that Israel can have all of Jerusalem, even though part of it is by international law still Occupied Territory taken from Jordan by Israel through war. Democratic Party Governor Bill Ritter and President Barack Obama are behind this visit but there can be no real Peace without Justice. Thirty five per cent of Jerusalem's current inhabitants are Palestinians forced to live in a 'Jewish State' ethnic dictatorship. They are being ethnically cleansed and forced into isolated enclaves by the supporters of this public relations stooge, Nir Barkat the 'mayor of Jerusalem'. What will be the eventual 'Final Solution' though? Another forced mass exodus of Palestinians from their homes and lands? Watched over and rubber stamped with approval once again by supposedly majority 'Christian' USA? It doesn't have to happen this way, and if it does?... then beware Homeland Terrorists Department, Pentagon, US Government Agency, North Virginia. If you live by the sword then perhaps one should be prepared to die by the sword, too? But there is a better way.

Uzi Landau doesn’t steal Palestinian homes because there is no such thing

DENVER- Israeli PR envoy Uzi Landau addressed CU Denver students today, the majority of whom were antagonistic to his message. Denver policemen lined the walls, altar and choir loft, as Landau went on about the mortal threat which "extremist" Islam poses to Judeo-Christian civilization. Landau likened Iran to Nazi Germany and Ahmadinejad to Hitler, but had no comparison for the nefarious and subversive terror plots which Iran has been foisting on the free world. I'm thinking perhaps, like the CIA or Mossad? Landau entered the room strangely like a Mafia don, flanked by an entourage of black coats and security. A well dressed man and a woman who an hour earlier had been loitering behind me as I protested outside, and whom I took to be Russian when I heard them speak to each other, now appeared as part of Landau's party. Due to the sudden snowfall, the campus closed for the afternoon. As a result, the turnout for Landau's speech was sparse. The security detail of Denver and campus police officers which subjected attendees to metal detectors and bag searches, and kept vigil from the sidelines, would have been disproportionate even if all the seats had been filled. One got the impression that law enforcement were there to assure the audience stayed awake and respectful. Policemen could be seen conspicuously conferring about the seating area occupied by activist Glenn Spagnuolo and his colleagues. When Glenn rose and walked forward to queue for the microphone, a handful of the officers adjusted their positions accordingly. Glenn was responsible for pulling together voices to oppose Uzi Landau's appearance. Glenn had a personal connection to Landau, having worked in the occupied territories like Rachel Corrie, and knew the activist who was ultimately killed by a bulldozer working under orders of Uzi Landau. Subsequent to that event, Glenn was deported to Jordan. When Glenn announced the protest against Landau's visit, the CU organizers were faced with additional security costs, for which they had no budget. Attempts were made to negotiate calling off the protest. Ultimately the Israeli embassy fronted the funds for the added police. You might ask, against whom were the officers protecting Uzi Landau? Considering audience members had already been search for weapons, were the police trying to prevent a citizen's arrest? The good news, Israeli PR envoy Uzi Landau is not a very good speaker. His heavy accent and habit of letting his voice trail off confident the audience is hanging on his words, makes Landau a fortuitous emissary for those cheering against a military attack upon Iran. The bad news is that landau is as far right as they come, and if he's reaching sympathetic ears, there are too many racist Americans without any understanding of international law. I was surprised to discover that this Israeli minister's talking points were no more nuanced than the flack we receive at this website from IDF Internet Megaphone trolls. Landau reflected the same disrespect for the people from whom lands were taken, and are still being taken.

On whose border will Israel attack Iran

With all of Israel's gesticulation about Iran, you might think the axis of evil bordered on Israel. Especially given reports that Israel plans to launch ground assaults on Iran after December. Oddly it does not. At minimum, Israeli forces would have to cross Jordan or Syria, then Iraq or Turkey, to reach Iran. French newspaper Le Canard Enchainť reports that the IDF has ordered combat rations and is assembling elite commando units. On whose sovereign land will Israel mobilize?

Militant Fratricide, Say Shiboleth?

So I got onto this because of a comment posted supposedly proving that All Palestinians are evil because of one Arab-on-Jew act of violence which sounds a lot like it was instigated by the Jewish kids. And I've pondered for the past day or so, Why doesn't the commentator get upset about Jew-on-Jew violence? I would say, you know, that the closer one is in kinship to ones attacker or victim, the more upsetting it is. And I thought about "Say Shiboleth" which is from the Book of Judges. Fairly near the end. Chapter 12. The Israelites in the Gilead were at war with the Israelites of Ephraim. When they had slaughtered so many in Ephraim, they were picking off the stragglers at a ford of the River Jordan. The guards would challenge anybody to say "Shiboleth" which the Ephraimite accent would render as "sibolet" Once identified as Ephraimites, the fugitives would be taken out and slaughtered. There was a similar Kin-slaying between the tribe of Benjamin and the Rest of Israel. again in the book of Judges and in which the Benjaminites were almost exterminated. This sort of thing happened all the Damn Time. As Solomon lay dying, two of his sons divided the kingdom.. The Tribes of Judah and Levi formed the Kingdom of Judah and the other tribes formed the Kingdom of Israel. At the time of the Assyrian Conquest, the time of the prophets Jonah and Isaiah, and several of the other prophets, All Of Whom are quoted extensively in the "Right of Return" rhetoric, when they said "Israel" these are the people who were meant. That Israel would be restored. Neither Israel nor Judah had yet been subjugated. Also, the Assyrians and their successors on the Imperial Scene Babylon and Persia... DID NOT take the entire people out of the land. They took the aristocracy, the priests and the artisan class. And the military. They didn't need MORE peasants in Babylon, they already had plenty of Poor Folk. Sad thing about the Economic Crimes of Conquest and Slavery is people are sorted according to how much money they can bring to their new masters. Dehumanization on the grandest of scales. In between the division of the Kingdom and the Assyrian Conquest, there were fratricidal wars between Israelites and Judeans. All... The... Damn... Time... When the Persians allowed the Priesthood to go back to Judah and Israel, two of the most violent Hate Freaks in Jewish history were the leaders of the "return". Their names were Ezra and Nehemiah. They basically re-conquered the people who had been left behind. The poor who had tended the land all the time the rich were in Babylon. It was like, "Yeah, you guys took care of OUR land for US, thanks for your service, now get your stinkin' arses off OUR land.. and by the way, we no longer considere you to be Pure Israelites because while the priesthood was away you intermarried with Other Tribes of Israel and with Gentiles" True Racism at its finest. Hating your Own Cousins for not being "pure". But back to the axe-wielding "militant". An axe isn't a

“That small nations might be free”… and other Imperial Lies…

This is about, of course, the massive disconnect from reality shown by the "Nationalists" in the Bush Regime. The title comes from a song called "Foggy foggy dew" about the Easter Rebellion" and is a short representation of the British STATED reason for their rightful (or wrongful) share in starting World War One. "That the right of Small Nations to Self Determination is as valid as that of the Great Powers." While at the time they were engaged in one of their more Murderous Cycles of oppression in Ireland. And continued it even AFTER the Great War."Great" refers to the SIZE of the war, and the Powers. After the War the Imperial Powers Who Claimed Not To Be Imperialists (Britain, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, the U.S. ...) went on a frenzy of operations to quell rebellions in "their" Vassal States. Ethiopia and Somalia were carved out as separate states with Eritrea split between them, nations with compound words like Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia were created with a wave of the (Non) Imperial Scepter... Iran and Iraq, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia... The Shah was propped up as a puppet dictator just like King Faisal of Iraq, just like the Emirates... Mostly because the British Crown was more comfortable dealing with people who had Titles of Royalty. And Nationalist Sentiment in the Smallest Nations was tossed aside with the same Contempt and Disdain exhibited (to use another British phrase) by the Turk and Hun, meaning the Ottoman and German and Austro-Hungarian Empires. Kaiser Wilhelm and Archduke Ferdinand and indeed all of the European Kingdoms involved (Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, Spain, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the Suddenly Late Tsar Nicolas....) could call themselves Cousin and mean it. Many of them were still part of the Original Triple Lie "Holy" "Roman" and "Empire" It doesn't take an exaggerated sense of history to see which Royal Cousins got to keep their rank and titles and which were deemed "unworthy" by the "Democracies". And now, the reactions to claims of National Sovereignty by the Iraqis, the Palestinians, the Somalis... a huge long list actually, are being dismissed and pooh-poohed just as arrogantly as the British dismissal of the Irish claims, the Kenyan claims, the French dismissal of the claims of the Vietnamese, the Sudan, the Algerians,... the British "mandate" in Palestine dismissing the claims of both the Jews and the Arabs. The U.S. dismissing the claims of the Filipino and Hawaiian and Mexican and Central American claims to sovereignty over their own lands. And it hasn't stopped.

Obama endorsed by infamous UN liar

"Less than a teaspoon of dry anthrax, a little bit about this amount -- this is just about the amount of a teaspoon --"   Colin Powell perjured himself at the UN, playing the leading role in encouraging the invasion of Iraq which resulted in the deaths of over a million Iraqis. Now he's lauded for endorsing Barack Obama? What hope is there that Obama will seek a just resolution to the war in Iraq? Let's continue this excerpt from Colin Powell's presentation before the United Nations on February 6, 2003: " ...less than a teaspoon full of dry anthrax in an envelope shutdown the United States Senate in the fall of 2001. This forced several hundred people to undergo emergency medical treatment and killed two postal workers just from an amount just about this quantity that was inside of an envelope. "Iraq declared 8,500 liters of anthrax, but UNSCOM estimates that Saddam Hussein could have produced 25,000 liters. If concentrated into this dry form, this amount would be enough to fill tens upon tens upon tens of thousands of teaspoons. And Saddam Hussein has not verifiably accounted for even one teaspoon-full of this deadly material. "And that is my third point. And it is key. The Iraqis have never accounted for all of the biological weapons they admitted they had and we know they had. They have never accounted for all the organic material used to make them. And they have not accounted for many of the weapons filled with these agents such as there are 400 bombs. This is evidence, not conjecture. This is true. This is all well-documented." Transcript to Feb. 6, 2003 U. N. presentation by Colin Powell Part 1: Introduction Thank you, Mr. President. Mr. President, Mr. Secretary General, distinguished colleagues, I would like to begin by expressing my thanks for the special effort that each of you made to be here today. This is important day for us all as we review the situation with respect to Iraq and its disarmament obligations under U.N. Security Council Resolution 1441. Last November 8, this council passed Resolution 1441 by a unanimous vote. The purpose of that resolution was to disarm Iraq of its weapons of mass destruction. Iraq had already been found guilty of material breach of its obligations, stretching back over 16 previous resolutions and 12 years. Resolution 1441 was not dealing with an innocent party, but a regime this council has repeatedly convicted over the years. Resolution 1441 gave Iraq one last chance, one last chance to come into compliance or to face serious consequences. No council member present in voting on that day had any illusions about the nature and intent of the resolution or what serious consequences meant if Iraq did not comply. And to assist in its disarmament, we called on Iraq to cooperate with returning inspectors from UNMOVIC and IAEA. We laid down tough standards for Iraq to meet to allow the inspectors to do their job. This council placed the burden on Iraq to comply and disarm and not on the inspectors to find

Artemev head shoulders and legs above

Did you miss this spectacular moment in men's gymnastics? It was the last round on the pommel horse. Team USA was going for silver, the Japanese were already looking dejected about being left the bronze. The three Americans sent to cleanup were --ironically said the announcers-- each of them alternate team members. And then the unthinkable happened. Well it wasn't unthinkable, I was thinking it. I was rooting against team USA with my blackest might, for being the ass-backward patriotic pawns the US athletes are. I was amused to see Raj trip up, and thrilled when the same thing happened to the Taiwanese-American. Yeeeee! But next up was Sasha Artemev, whose erratic record, we were told, was what disqualified him from the original team. He failed 3/4 of the time. But the 1/4 performance ranked him as world champion on the pommel horse. So as the diminutive boy contemplated his mount, under all the pressure I'd wished upon team USA, it became impossible not to have a change of heart. I'd barely ever watched gymnastics before, but Artemev's performance went from dazzling to miraculous. As a teammate of his told reporters later, for a moment it looked like Artemev might have launched himself skyward from the horse, but he defied antigravity and hung on. Who has ever fought being earthbound except race cars? I doubt even Michael Jordan has to temper his air flight. Never the less, Sasha Artemev whirled like a helicopter tugging against a leash and landed as solid as you hope every time that every gymnast could, beaming, and it was Seabiscuit, Rocky and the Little Engine That Could! But the tension now mounted because Team USA's score had slipped so badly that now the German team was in contention to reach the bronze. Would the Americans medal at all? Everything was up to the German pommel horse numbers. As each German performed his routine, Artemev's act looked all the more luminous. The German routines were executed well, but were completely earthbound by comparison. What could the poor Germans do to compete in such a fix, short of improvise Artemev's leap to the heavens and court probably an infinitely greater than 3/4 chance of failure? Here's a video of an Artemev performance at an earlier gymnastic meet. In this minute and a half, you get to see what the coaches feared would happen in Beijing, then you'll see a preview of what ultimately did.

Long distance winner

I remember when running came to Colorado Springs. Jim Fixx's The Complete Book of Running was published in the late seventies and preached running as the path to good health. The book spent 11 weeks at number one on the the bestsellers list and is credited for starting America's fitness revolution.   I was part of that revolution. Not as a runner, but as a close observer. You see, I'm the sister of a running fanatic. My brother's friends opened a store called Runners Roost shortly after Fixx's book hit the big time. Between his daily 15-mile runs, Jim worked there for years, while I worked for a bigger, more general sporting goods store at the Citadel. The two jobs hardly resembled each other. I spent my days shoe-horning Air Jordans onto the feet of just-paid GIs, while Jim watched people run up and down Bijou so he could check their gaits, look for pronation or supination, and make sound footwear recommendations. I pulled Russell Athletic sweat shirts over the bellies of armchair quarterbacks, while Jim sold silky singlets and impossibly short running shorts to fat-free lunatics. Even when I was allowed to fit football helmets on 10-year-old pinheads, and wax the K2s of handsome ruddy-cheeked skiers, I still envied my brother's life. To me, there was something enigmatic and appealing about a long-distance runner. I feel the same even now. Today my 14-year-old son got up at 4 a.m. and ran to the top of Pikes Peak -- a solitary 13-mile trek. I imagine he wouldn't have mentioned his plan to anyone if he didn't need a ride to the trailhead. Later he told me his finish time, and not much else. After all these years, it looks like I may have another chance to unravel the mysterious runner's mind.

Urge House Judiciary to impeach Bush

Dear Mr. Conyers, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, The Democratic Party may think it in its best interest not to begin impeachment proceedings against President Bush, please consider doing what is right, imperative and just. If Bush still has time to bomb Iran before he leaves office, you have the time to impeach him. Anticipating that you face a hostile press, please consider initiating an investigation of the media which could lead to their indictment on charges of treason for abetting Bush's crimes. Thank you! Here's the contact info for the House Judiciary Committee to urge them to move forward the 35 Articles of Impeachment HOUSE RESOLUTION 1258. This committee is chaired by John Conyers, once-upon-a-time-ago a vocal advocate of impeachment. A written letter makes the best impression. Personal phone calls are next. Then Emails. Jordan, an American-made ‘Arab democracy’

The US, which hardly has any functioning democracy of its own, has a government that went on a Christian Crusade, a Christian Crusade to supposedly bring democracy to the Arab World. The American Empire of Torture, Inc. has a model 'Arab democracy' that it wants other Arab states to be militarily impelled (by our friends at the Pentagon) to establish, and that model is Jordan. Jordan even once had a queen, an American citizen named affectionately (by the Western press)Queen Noor, who was courted by a king (or at least a thug of one)! How romantic, right? But, Tony, what supposed democracy in the world is headed up by Queens and Kings? The answer is, Not So-Great Britain, for example, so we cannot hold it against backward peoples (like the Arabs) if 'their democracies' too have kings, queens, and court jesters running the show. It just wouldn't be fair. But the peasantry really should be more respectful in these modern day, Made-in-America 'democracies', should they not? Especially peasants from abroad, like this slimy gay French citizen twit who insulted the King of Jordan. Isn't Made-in America 'Arab democracy' just great?

Where are Salam Pax and Raed Jarrar?

The BBC has an update on Iraqi bloggers. Riverbend is back, she's now a refugee in Syria. Nabil is in Jordan. "Zappy" is in the UK. 24stepstoliberty now writes from California.   Livesstrong and Najma are in Mosul. Last-of-Iraqis writes from Baghdad and shares the dashed-syntax with neurotic-iraqi-wife from the Green Zone.   September last year, Raed Jarrar, namesake of Where is Raed? was not permitted to board a JetBlue plane at JFK because he wore a t-shirt which read "We will not be silenced." Salam al-Janabi, aka Salam Pax the Baghdad Blogger last posted to Fat Whiner on July 2006, and made a CNN video in April.

Neo-liberal translations of Arabic

Does the Arabic at left mean anything to you? It could spell Tanzim Qaedat al-Jihad fi Balad al-Rafidin for all you know. Would that translate to "al-Qaeda in Iraq" if there was no such thing? AQI is a CIA coined term. Much as if the police searched your home, planted a stash, and labeled it "pot of your home." Al-Qaeda in Iraq is actually the dumbed down shorthand of al-Qaeda in Mesopotamia for Americans who wouldn't know what Mesopotamia would have had to do with September 11. The lands of Mesopotamia would really suggest a Greater Iraq, inclusive of regions of Syria, Turkey and Iran. In which case, Jihadists advocating for the ancient territorial legacy of Iraq would not likely be fighting in Iraq at all. AND ACTUALLY, fi Balad al-Rafidin translates to "the country of the Two Rivers." Whether QJBR is a CIA invention, like the Jordanian who-never-was al-Zarqawi, will be for historians to decipher. Probably it's a little of both. Regardless, AQI ends with "in Iraq" --only in America, land of few maps and sub-average education. We can't even be told that Mexico is actually called Los Estados Unidos Mexicanos, lest US Americans get confused. What liberties can our think tanks and intelligence manipulators take with Kufic script! The phrase above could just as well mean "I will wipe World Jewry off the face of the Earth!" as "Springtime for Hitler and Germany." Or it could have meant "erase the illegitimate borders imposed on trans-Arabia by the Western powers bent on imposing an Israeli colony, by ruse of religion, in mock restitution for the Holocaust, the pogroms and the Spanish Inquisition, to give them a beachhead for Middle East oil." If I were to have a guess at the Arabic characters above, it would be "Sin Salida."

Israel obstinate

More nations gave formal recognition to the PLO, a terrorist group, than to Israel. Thus more people thought the Palestinian Liberation Organization had a "right to exist" than did Israel, a chunk of Arab land appropriated to make a Jewish State. To date Israel has rejected 70 UN resolutions against its actions. I think it bears repeating them, lest typifying Israel's behavior as illegal, be dismissed as a rant. # 1. General Assembly Resolution 181 (1947): the 1947 Partition plan of Palestine and the creation of Israel. # 2. General Assembly Resolution 194 (1947): Palestinian Refugees have the right to return to their homes in Israel. # 3. Resolution 106 (1955): condemns Israel for Gaza raid. # 4. Resolution 111 (1956): condemns Israel for raid on Syria that killed fifty-six people. # 5. Resolution 127 (1958): recommends Israel suspend its no-manís zoneí in Jerusalem. # 6. Resolution 162 (1961): urges Israel to comply with UN decisions. # 7. Resolution 171 (1962): determines flagrant violations by Israel in its attack on Syria. # 8. The United Nations is complicit with US war criminality and genocide everywhere

The United Nations is fully supporting US war crimes in multiple nations around our planet. It has become nothing less than a total satellite captured in the orbit of the US Pentagon. In Iraq, the UN has sat by without ever condemning the US genocide in that country, but rather participating in it. Over 2 million Iraqi casualties have been killed solely due to US interference against the Iraqi people over more than a decade and a half, and the role of the UN has been in total support of that. There are currently over 4 million Iraqi refugees, 2 million inside and 2 million outside Iraq. The UN has little to say about that, and little relief offered to the victims. All its efforts go to help the US government intervene around the planet. Jordan alone, with a population of a little over 5 million has taken in almost 1 million Iraqi refugees! That would be the equivalent relative to population as if the US had had to take in 60 million destitute refugees from some war zone! Syria, with a population of slightly less than 19 million, has had to take in an even greater number of Iraqi refugees from US violence than the almost 1 million in Jordan. And as the US and Israel are currently threatening Syria with attack alongside its ally Iran, the UN sits back nodding its head in acquiescence! Lest we forget, Syria was Iran's ally while the US and its Arab client states were funding Saddam Hussein in its war upon Iran. It is the US that supported Saddam, not Syria or Iran, and the UN never did anything to stop him from killing hundreds upon hundreds of thousands of innocent Iranians. . The situation is the same around the globe, as the UN everywhere is running backup for US foreign policy and the resulting mayhem and atrocities that follow in the wake of US war crimes. The United Nations is helping the US occupy Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, and Haiti as well as Iraq. These are all nations where the US violated international law and bombed, invaded and occupied these countries with its military. The United Nations has acted as an integral part of these war crimes, lending the support of the troops of its misnamed 'Security Council' at crucial intervals. In short, the United Nations has become the Pentagon's whore, constantly pimped out to service America's reactionary foreign policy. We move to Africa, and the United Nations today is calling for occupation of Somalia with its troops instead of condemning the US-Ethiopian invasion of that country. The United Nations offers no security to the people's of the world from US war crimes and genocides. In Africa, the countries of Rwanda and Congo can attest to that. The UN rushes into action everywhere

Questions to St Peter

Sometime in October search engines found Ask Saint Peter .com. This was an experimental A. I. project scheduled to address what people were doing with their lives. It's online but yet inoperable. The splash page features the picture of a young Iraqi child recovering in a US field hospital emergency room. He looks hauntingly at the camera. Text hidden below the picture quotes the Gospel about a camel having an easier time squeezing through the eye of a needle than a rich man getting into heaven. Clicking anywhere on the page addresses an email to St. Peter and an increasing number of people have begun to write. Somehow these web surfers expect 1) that St. Peter is all knowing, and 2) that he can divine the future. Their questions range from trying to test him, to asking things they do not know, to asking about their fate, to making confessions. Here are some of their emails: (all last names have been abbreviated). pweezy: so am i going to hell andres: hey soy andres kiero saver k camisa tengo shereen: What types of questions can I ask here? Pigs 1 Decency 0

the non binding referendum on funding fell out on party lines, with Joe Lieberman voting with the fascists, as per expected, according to Yahoo. Then in another link to a New York Times article about a man who was never charged with a crime, but spent two years in an American run torture hell-hole. The fucking lying pigs made him sign a statement that he hadn't been abused while in their "care" just like the motherfucking lying pig assholes right here in Colorado do. They stated that they occasionally used the Taser torture devices on prisoners, but only when the PIGS felt they were in danger. LYING FUCKING TORTURE FREAKS. I FUCKING KNOW BETTER YOU FUCKING PIG ASSHOLES. They also stated that there was a grievance procedure and that all claims of abuse were investigated. Fuck you you murdering lying torturing control freak asshole pig motherfuckers. I was glad to hear that Jensen and Jordan got their pig asses FUCKED OFF and I was just sorry that I wasn't there to watch as they were sent to Hell where they belong.

America’s rolling invasion of Somalia

The US invasion and occupation of Somalia is like that of Haiti, nobody is paying much attention. And like the current occupation of Haiti, it 'rolls'. What do I mean by describing this as a 'rolling invasion', for it is a term I think that describes the now prototypical US intervention into the affairs of other nations? Lebanon, too, is being violated by an American rolling invasion as yet another example. So let's take a quick look at Somalia then, to get a glimpse of the US strategy everywhere for its misnamed 'war on terrorism'. In Somalia, the US first arranged an invasion of that country using Ethiopian troops. Then it followed by bombing the country from US ships. Just several weeks after the initial assault using another country's military, that of Ethiopia, the US is switching them out, and moving a contingent of another country's military in, 1,500 Kenyans troops. In turn, the US is pressuring Uganda, Rwanda, and South Africa amongst other countries, to follow. And without any interest at home what-so-ever, the US bombed Somalia once again just yesterday! Imagine how the Somalians feel? As a Muslim country they finally get some semblance of government after 15 years of chaos, but then the US returns once again to topple the cart yet one more time. The US sponsored troops? Thousands of Christian Ethiopians! And to follow up this humiliation using a traditional enemy of one nation, the US brings in yet a second nation's troops. See the roll? Like rolling waves of a heavy surf on the beach. This will then be followed by an eclectic assortment of other nations, none of which have anything in common with the natives, except for their racial coloring perhaps. And that of being sponsored by George W. Bush! We could go to Iraq or Afghanistan to see the same nonsensical outsourcing of imperialism once again. But let's look at Lebanon first. US invasion launched using Israeli troops first. Less than successful, so the Jewish forces pull partially back out. The US then has an unwanted UN move into the country as so-called 'peacekeepers'. The US then threatens Hezbollah. The US then has France, Britain, Saudi Arabia, the European Union, and others to cajole the country with being given possible funds to rebuild itself some. The US threatens Syria and Iran. What will Bush roll in with next? US troops? Or maybe Polish troops? Don't joke, they are already in Iraq and Afghanistan in large numbers. How about Japanese? Don't joke, they are in Iraq! At the end of 2006, Yugoslavia had its area of Kosovo occupied by troops from 30 nations! Talk about a Tower of Babel! OK, enough

Lebanon in ruins

Lebanon lies in ruins after the imperialist allies, the US and Israel, destroyed it once again. Israel's invasion destroyed about $5 billion dollars worth of civilian infrastructure, and much of South Lebanon's population has had to pass the Winter amongst the rubble of their former houses and cities. No help has come, and the only possible assist for them in aid is coming through promises to help from those responsible for the destruction in the first place. At a conference in Paris, the US, France, European Union, and US Arab ally supreme, Saudi Arabia are promising 7.6 dollars of aid mirage to the Lebanese, but only if they do as the imperialists want them to do. What we have is the mirror landscape that the US has forced upon Iraq and Afghanistan, and seems also determined to force on Iran and Syria in the days ahead. First the US and its allies reduce to rubble your country, and then if you obey us we offer to help repair some of the damage we have done! And everywhere the imperialist US Empire goes it foments warfare race against race, language group against language group, religious sect versus religious sect. Always divide and destroy in order to rule. US ally, Prime Minister Fouad Siniora, in control of the present Lebanese government in great part cooperated with Israel's last entry into his own country. He thought to use the invasion against his internal opponents, the Shia. Instead, the resistance of the Shia headed Hezbollah to that invasion and destruction, strengthened them and weakened him. He is also held widely responsible for having allowed Lebanon's foreign debt of $41 billion to have piled up. In short, he is the epitome of corruption, and this is the man the US is supporting against the majority of Lebanon's population. We in the US have watched stupid and ignorant from the sidelines, as our government has spread anarchy and chaos from Afghanistan to Iraq to Lebanon to Somalia to where next?....probably Iran, Syria, Jordan, Pakistan, and on beyond. In the last 2 weeks, the Democratic Party voters, that sat passively behind the passivity of their consenting-to-Bush DP leaders, have finally chosen to go out and protest some. The Democrats finally have stirred some. There is a current of optimism and hope in the air for them because of it. But what of their newly found ability to oppose a little? Is it real, or just a pretense to get the Democratic Party back into office? Are they really opposed to their government's imperialism? I have my own thoughts to what the true answer actually is. I am less than hopeful that their opposition is anything more than the most shallow and skin deep. I wish that I am proven wrong, but I think that I know my fellow

Super Duper Heroes

Let's grieve for Ken Jordan. Let's grieve for him as a beloved son, a cherished brother, a loving boyfriend. But must we grieve for him as a slain police officer, one who died to protect us? He didn't give his life. His life was taken from him by a drunken asshole. Just as the lives of the teachers at Columbine were taken, the lives of relief workers and journalists in Iraq and elsewhere are taken, the lives of nuns caring for the downtrodden in dangerous countries are taken. Since 9-11 we've been conditioned to worship the "public servants" who fight our kitchen fires and bust our teenagers for tinted windows. Does anyone really believe these guys chose such a career because they care about us? The same can be said about our soldiers. With rare exception, men who choose a career in police/fire/military do so because it works for them. They don't want to work at Wal-Mart, can't work at Apple. The idea of carrying a gun appeals mightily to the kid whose head was bashed into the gymnasium locker by the big jock with the cute cheerleader on his arm. The idea of dressing up in a dapper uniform and becoming part of a powerful club resonates with the guy who has a lot of testosterone, quite a bit of adrenaline, but little else to distinguish him. They love their institutional authority. They enjoy pulling over the red BMW and watching the rich guy quake in his Bruno Maglis. They relish wiping the tears of the pretty girl who didn't give them the time of day in Junior High. I saw the procession for Officer Jordan yesterday. And, yes, it brought a tear to my eye. But not because he was a cop.

Zarqawi character killed off

US military press liasons have decided to claim some headway in Iraq by discontinuing the Abu Musab al ZarqawiTM character.   The world first heard of al-Zarqawi when Nicholas Berg was beheaded in a widely circulated video which coincided with the emergence of the Abu Ghraib photos. Although the video appeared to conceal western soldiers disguised as hooded Islamic militants, US spokesmen insisted the principle sword-bearer among them was "Zarqawi," head of al Qaeda In Iraq. To this day, most Iraqis do not believe there was any AQII, nor that it might be lead by any "Zarqawi," unless of course it exists as an American fabrication. The Iraqi people rejoice today at the killing of "Zarqawi" because there should now be fewer 500-lb bombs being dropped on unsuspecting households in what has been the ongoing attempt to kill the mystical insurgent. While it is being reported that this successful strike annihilated an entire house and all its occupants, why is no reporter asking how many households have been obliterated by the previous air strikes? Meanwhile, the US media is making a curiously pointless effort to report that though Zarqawi expired immediately when US troops arrived on the scene, he had been captured alive. Is this to say, as opposed to on ice? Cold storage is where many critics had suspected an al Zarqawi corpse might have been biding its time. Maybe the time had become ripe. Having failed to resuscitate their approval ratings with the old gay-marriage attack, George W.'s party sure needed to pull something else out of the hat. Behold ol' Zarqawi, with blown-up pictures a la Che Guevara. Everyone from President Bush on up through the media seem to find it important too to point out that Zarqawi's departure from the insurgency line-up will not mean a reduction of activity on the part of the Iraq resistance movement. Would this be because Zarqawi wasn't actually responsible for any of it before his demise? Jordanian man of mystery, Abu Musab al Zarqawi's only verifiable action was to be know by the US military spokesmen to be Saddam Hussein's link to al Qaeda. His Iraqi organization's name was thoughtfully bi-lingual and idiot-proof: al Qaeda In Iraq, previously known as S.P.E.C.T.R.E.
