Let’s all celebrate Mithra’s birthday!

I get to feeling kind of Puritanical at this time of year.... so 'Why didn't Puritans like Christmas? ...They had several reasons, including the fact that it did not originate as a Christian holiday.'   'The upper classes in ancient Rome celebrated Dec. 25 as the birthday of the sun god Mithra. The date fell right in the middle of Saturnalia, a month-long holiday dedicated to food, drink, and revelry, and Pope Julius I is said to have chosen that day to celebrate Christ's birth as a way of co-opting the pagan rituals.' See When Americans banned Christmas--- The first 'War on Christmas' was declared almost 400 years ago, courtesy of our Puritan forefathers. Have a Merry Mithraday!

Jewish leader advocates for genocide

The Islamic community is often accused of wanting to commit genocide against Jews, which claim when examined is more often than not a slander and a lie. But did you know that there are actually Jewish leaders who advocate for committing genocide against those of the Muslim faith? See Haaretz's website about this... Shas spiritual leader calls on Jews to pray for annihilation of Iran ...and how many US Christian leaders are there as well, who are also for committing genocide against people of the Muslim religion? I'm scared to even think much about this. Hitler's legacy seems to live on, though in much morphed form. In Rabbi Ovadia Yosef we have a Jewish leader who calls Muslims 'snakes'! 'In the past, the Baghdad-born (Rabbi) Yosef has stirred controversy by likening Palestinians to snakes, calling for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to "perish from this world" and describing non-Jews as "born only to serve us".' How similar this is to the Nazi era custom of Nazis calling Jews 'rats', as was done in the book made into film, “The Eternal Jew".

Senate hopeful, Missouri fool Todd Akin takes wide stance on legitimate rape

Representative Todd Akin revealed his "legitimate rape" standard was no misunderstanding -- now he's courting America's vast army of Christian idiots who already share his belief in rape-modulated immaculate contraception, a convenient pretext for a complete abortion ban. Meanwhile his Larry Craig Wide Stance against abandoning his campaign bid in disgrace allows the GOP to earn points distancing themselves from Akin's crass misogyny, even though their party platform is steeped in it. When I hear American conservatives seem to compete with each other over who can bring the ugliest inanity to the party, I can't help be reminded of internet trolls --which constructive discourse requires we not feed. Except we are powerless to prevent the damn corporate media from feeding their GOP squeezebox monkey trolls and stoking the firestorm of ignorant, beyond the pale, political twists and u-turns. Now pundits are mouthing suggested mea culpa for the recalcitrant unpenitent: What Akin should have said. I'll have a go: I'm sorry, I'm a moron, a morally bankrupt, crap-regurgitating degenerate. Yes I'm a reflection of my constituents, but people, you can't give no-ideologues like me the responsibilities of government. I know that much.

The Colorado Springs Occupy Movement needs to burn some Bibles out at Fort Carson perhaps?

'The U.S. government and the American commander of NATO-led forces in Afghanistan apologized after Afghan laborers found charred copies of the Koran while collecting rubbish at the sprawling Bagram Airbase, about an hour's drive north of Kabul.' See Reuters Six killed, many wounded in Afghan Koran protests. A fake D.C. 'apology' is not enough though. The US soldiers deliberately disrespected Occupied Afghanistan and deliberately insulted the Afghan people who are overwhelmingly Muslim, and the US soldiers just don't care much how they trample on these poor peoples of the world they are hired guns to oppress. So what if Occupy Colorado Springs were to burn some Bibles so that these soldiers headed out to Afghanistan don't just forget and repeat with some new atrocity or another against the Afghan population? What if also the American Antiwar Movement threatened to burn some Bibles out at all the US military installations around the US? Wouldn't that get the message through to the US troops that some of us American people are just as outraged at 'our' US occupying army contempt for other peoples of the world as the Afghan people are themselves? Yes, I think it would get that point across rather sharply! It would also bring into light the entire issue of just how wrong it is for the US to be militarily occupying Afghanistan. It simply really is a criminal act our country as a whole is engaged in as a whole, and we should be utterly ashamed of what 'our' troops are doing, and not proud about them at all. Shame on the US for being 'holy book' burners! The US troops knew just exactly what they were doing and chose to disrespect the people who hold another religion than their own.

Today’s Tom Sawyer

It's 4am here and this occurred to me strongly enough just now to have me say it just now. For Vic, Ken and the rest of my Christian friends, as well as Michele, Kathryn, and others who get twitchy when I bring up the Bible.   I had breakfast with my friend Vic a little while ago and we had some of this conversation--I mean this conversation. The one we've been having if you've read any of this stuff around here, or if you've been to see me at my Facebook, or on the sidewalk or whatever. Vic is a Christian, and about as solid a practitioner as I've ever met. He "works" as a prayer director for one of the internationally influential untaxed Christian pseudo-businesses one might easily enough find scattered around town here in Colorado Springs. Years ago I lived in Lindale, Texas and I used to say Lindale was the buckle of the Bible Belt. Now that some of the big organizations down in Lindale have disappeared due to fraud and embezzlement and the like and some of the people I knew down in East Texas have moved to this very town I sometimes say America's waistline has risen with age and the buckle has found a home in Colorado Springs. Anyhow, Vic is an affable guy and a good friend and we had a good time over our platesful of arterial lubrication such as we Americans like to do at breakfast. He said he had read some here on these e-pages--I aaalmost cringed because of a certain propensity of mine. Then I remembered one of the axiomatic rules I've taught my kids since they started picking up English: "There's no such thing as a bad word, only bad timing." It's time for this. Vic said he found some of the thoughts he'd come across here, "interesting," and mused that I had a bone to pick with "organized religion," which is true, but hasn't really come up at hipgnosis just yet, I don't think. I cringed a bit at having utilized terms like "motherfuckah" while discussing a Bible tidbit known as the Beatitudes from a longer passage known as the Sermon on the Mount. It's one of those axiomatic rules for lots of Christians, and for many who've never set foot in a Christian edifice as well. One finds the passage, (from the book of Matthew, chapter 5, in the Bible, if you're interested), hanging on wooden plaques and the like in people's living rooms and over their toilets and chapel entrances all over the world, and I suppose in every tongue still in print. I felt a twinge of embarrassment at the time that I get now and then from writing strongly about such grand subject matter knowing well that I'm no saint myself. So I brushed my way by that one at the time, and we went on with breakfast, and with other portions of the Conversation. That's why this is for Vic at the top of the

Christians versus Lyin-Heart medal

Starting with REAL Christian values, as preached by Christ.   Sojourners, whose mailing list led me here...(aside from me taking the long way home due to road work, thus stumbling on to Camp Casey) and other Christian groups, some of the names surprised me, have entered the budget battle with T.V. and radio ads, some in Boehner's home district, denouncing a budget plan which beats down the needy for the sole benefit of the Greedy... and urging the Rabid-Ass Wingnutz to actually do the works that Jesus told us.  or just quit taking His name in vain.  NOW, Cowboy!  Man up and do it! Then there's Colorado Springs "Christian" School, who gathered the richest and most vicious oppressors of the Poor, to give the "Lion Heart" medal... to a Chickenshit Chicken Hawk whose Daddy's Money kept his worthless arse out of Vietnam. Who performed Satanic rituals using the bones of an American Hero, who unlike ANY of the Bush Klan, actually DID fight for America, was a prisoner of war, died in a Military concentration camp, and Grandpa Prescott Bush and some of his fellow overly pampered buddies robbed his grave, out of U.S. Army cemetery, at the Ft. Sill, Oklahoma concentration camp. His birth-name I'm not privileged to know, none of his tribe ever told me.  He was born in what's now New Mexico, and like most Indians had a name given by the magistrates of the conquerors.  Like Russell Means, Ward Churchill, Leonard Peltier, George Guess (his Tsa-la-gi name is "Sikawi") and Jonah Brown. The man whose bones they use in their freakish Satanic rituals, died with the Spanish name Geronimo. (St. Jerome) The Colorado Springs Overly wealthy "Christian" establishment worship the cowardly, arrogant, war criminal THIEF, using an award named for yet another murdering scum war criminal "Christian", Richard Coeur de Leon. They bow down to him calling him a "Christian Warrior" although he's neither, and sacrificing their children to advance his agenda. Many, but not all, in the Jewish community are likewise bowing down to the wannabee AntiChrist. Again, I call on them, Repent, or stop using God's name in vain.  You who are Christian take His Name, in the most literal sense possible.  As Paul said, by adoption into His house, the way an adopted child takes the name of his new family... And as John the Revelator said, by marriage, the Church as Bride of Christ. You owe it to Him to bring forth works meet for Repentance. If your Right hand is busy doing evil, left hand grabbing up the money from it, your mouth boasting of the evil you do and mocking those who reproach you for it... What then do you have left to do the work of God? "Thou shalt not bear false witness" doesn't have and escape clause, like "unless you want-covet the lil wealth of another nation like Iraq, Mexico or Venezuela and need WMD type of lying excuse". And where, in "Love thy neighbor" or "Thou shalt not kill" does it say anything about killing people while robbing their country, or killing

Hey, Hitler didn’t throw EVERYBODY into the concentration camps… right?

I mean, he only had Anarchists, homosexuals, criminals, members of a certain Middle Eastern religious/ethnic minority, Communists, Union Members, Mormons, Anabaptists (Mennonite, Hutterite, Amish), blacks, Romany ("gypsy") and people drafted from the conquered lands to work in German industry...   So, since the White, Mainstream, willing-to-obey Christian Germans didn't get beaten in the streets by storm troopers... So the people who demonstrated against the Nazi Regime and were arrested or beaten in the streets or killed outright, they were Just Whiners, because SOME of the Pet Proletariat am DeutscheVaterland had a comparatively easy life, weren't thrown into prisons or beaten down, killed or sundry unpleasant nasty occurrences... As long as they never once tried to take off their little doggy collars or break their chains in any way. The others, those bad wicked Whiner "dissidents", they should have Just Left The Country... Love it or Leave it, right, "patriots"?

Tis the season once more….

for the Talk Radio Hate Speech about a "war on Christmas." I don't actually think they're stupid, mind you, they know full well that they're lying... and omitting a HUGE amount of data. So, to fact check them ONCE MORE... The Founding Fathers never instituted either Christmas or Thanksgiving as national holidays. Nor did the Pilgrims. Nor the Puritans. Abraham Lincoln did recognize both, but with the emphasis on Thanksgiving. Some of Lincolns closest friends and advisers were rabid anti-Catholics. King James First was crowned king because he was, at least in name, a Protestant. King James invited the Puritans and the Pilgrims, not very courteously, to get out of England. Because they said he was too Catholic. Their major sticking point was Christmas. He was for it. They were against it. The Hate Radio people insist that we're supposed to rule America and just by consequential extension, the entire world, by the several bickering groups of Late Medieval Feudal Warlords who were killing each other and a whole bunch of civilians in Europe at the time, and had just begun to tear up America, over different interpretations of the Christian faith. As usual in these Battles of (nit)Wits, the primary victims were Other Christians. Because in England at the time there were few openly Non-Christians to be had. Jews maybe. Jews who were burned at the stake, hanged, tortured etc etc right along with people suspected of Witchcraft. Or Christian Blasphemy. Which brings it to the central theme of the Hate Speech Radio Talkmongers. Why, you might ask, did the "founding fathers" NOT establish a natoinal religion? Well, I might answer, the slaughter of Christians by Christians was fresh in their memories. Washington had participated in an extremely bloody extension of an ongoing European "holy" war between Catholics and Protestants. In America the casualty count was comparatively low, mostly because the White Population was relatively low. Which brings up that ugly business of the Founding Fathers being Anti-American, as in, anti-Indian. In the mad rush to cast the Puritans especially but also the Pilgrims as Pure Saints who get to make our daily decisions and run our Government from Beyond The Grave, they have to omit details. Lots of Details. The scene replayed in countless Thanksgiving pageants of Racial Harmony between English Invaders and Americans has many dark corners that the Haters don't want to illuminate. It complicates the simplicity of their "war on christmas" ranting. And if they encouraged their listeners to actually think it would be bad for their bottom line. For instance many Puritans wrestled with the question of Where Did The Indians Originate? Because we're not mentioned in Genesis. Some, like the witch-hunter Cotten Mather, often quoted by the Hate-mongers on Fox News and Clear Channel as being a "Founding Father" whose original intent is Holy and Beyond Question, not only hated Christmas but also many of the toys which are now given for Christmas, meaning Dolls, were declared by him an his contemporaries as being Agents of the Devil. And that Indians have no souls, since we're not

Break the commandment, keep the commandment

Or so the bumper sticker sayeth. Simple, right(wing)? Leaving aside the notion that you have to have kept the ENTIRE law for at least a week (purification time) and have NEVER committed any of the crimes listed in Leviticus and Deuteronomy not once not ever, that are punishable by death. Like masturbation or talking back to your parents. Jesus added a couple of definitions, more on that later. Now there's the case of the man in Texas, killed unjustly by the Death Penalty Slaughterhouse System. What happens when the Governor wrongly kills somebody? And the Cowardly "doctor" and guards who directly murdered him? Should they also be killed? The Bumper Sticker says so. Dig... the High Priest appointed Jesus to be The Judge. About Death Penalty according to the Bible, men were sent from the High Priest to ask his judgement I'd suggest my Christian brethren (and sistren--- see, I can make up words) study the laws they quote so glibly. The one commandment: Adultery. One of the commandments Jesus interpreted, . Not the one about "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" no. This IS a corollary to that. If a man looks at a woman with lush he's already committed adultery. I would say, even if somebody had survived adolescence without once talking back to Mom and Pop or whipping the wiener that would be a deal breaker. But since so many say that the Levitican laws beginning with the Ten Commandments are the ultimate base of American jurisprudence, how are they going to wiggle out of that one? They could say that they didn't know, that nobody ever mentioned to them, that it would be inevitable that innocent people WILL be put to death under the laws. They could, except their own Very Many Words mocking anybody who brings that point up, kind of sort of maybe would turn them into LIARS (except of course that they already ARE liars) They could say "It's better that one man die for all", but that was the judgment that condemned Jesus even without a consensus on His guilt and before He was even brought to trial. The Supreme Court, who are ultimately going to have to find a way to clear their Fellow Pigs of any guilt in the matter, (you KNOW, even if you deny it vehemently, that IS the case, they can't allow their Fellow Pigs to face charges for a crime) Could simply wash their hands of the matter. Like Pontius Pilate. Since the Title-Quote bumper sticker is printed BY Christians and aimed AT Christians, none of that would be politically palatable. They want to kill people but not feel guilty about it.

Oderint dum metuant, crucifixion … Spartacus and Dracula

Since the opinion has been foisted onto us that we should basically DEATH DEATH KILL THEM ALL!! BWAAAHAAAAHAAAHAAA! those who Dare to oppose our Mighty Empire... And a comment from a lady who is upset that we, the people, rejected her Emperor Bush last year about this time... thus, we and not her Imperial Overlords are responsible for the shootings at Ft Hood... The "Crucify them as an example to others" was a policy also expressed by a(nother) Mad Emperor named Gaius Julius Caesar the Second, known by his childhood nickname Little Boots, aka Caligula. It was also used earlier by a Roman Republican Senator named Crassus. Against a group of Slaves who Dared In Their Arrogance to think themselves the equal of their Masters. It was also used by Vlad Dracula, the real villain not the prettified very nice by comparison Dracula of the movies. The real Dracula was famous for fighting the Turks. Fierce in battle, say his critics and apologists alike. Defended Europe from the Islamic Horde, AND that part is now being celebrated by the Modern Crusaders. The part he was most famous for was hanging people on pikes, tall spears. The death involved the body slowly settling down around the spear, massive organic damage, and by having the piked one with his feet barely touching the ground... it could go on for days. The people he did that to, weren't Muslims or Turks. They were "his" people. Christians. Supposedly he himself was a Christian and the devil worship rituals are, according to the Right Wing "mere rumors to slander a Great Crusader Leader". Kind of like Richard Cheney only more civilized. It was wonderful that the two Right Wing Extremist responders (so far) were so incredibly hate filled. Makes it much more difficult for Our Friends like Mr Paige to deny the basic Hater label that he and his less erudite comrades placed around their own necks. The Extremist Leaders can talk all they want about being Christian, about being FOR freedom and goodness and light and not at all Conquest, slavery and murder. In the immortal words of their own Joe Wilson THEY LIE! Those of our IDF friends who like to post and tell us how much the Republicans love Judah (renamed Israel) and the Jewish people and it's We, the Left, who are anti-semitic... Look to what ALL-CAPS BOY wrote, that the Romans had a Good Idea, crucifying all "terrorists" meaning among others, the Jews who didn't embrace Roman rule. Much like the Iraqi and Afghan and Pakistani "insurgents" who don't Joyously Embrace the Imperial Rule of the modern-day Roman General Petraeus. I was flipping through the pages of a book the other day, on "Freedom in the Ancient World". The author said much the same thing that CHARLES CAPS-LOCK BOY said. How those bad, naughty backward uncivilized Jews rejected Trajan's majestic gift of rebuilding Jerusalem with a temple to Jupiter in the midst, to grant them the honor of Roman slav... errr... Civilized Benevolent Rule. Just by a

fratricide

The killing of one's sibling. Specifically. On the other hand, DNA findings keep showing that all men are, indeed, brothers. I'll address the religious issues of that directly, since one of the most hotly divisive wars plaguing our world now has both the Religious and the DNA negating the claims of the most belligerent parties. It involves the three Mosaic religions, with among others, LOCAL Christians rooting for both sides because they feel that Israel being destroyed will bring on the Apocalypse. The people described are sometimes considered mythical. That's not the point. The parties to the wars don't consider them mythical and base the reasons for continuing the war on the sayings, writings and deeds attributed to them. So I'll start with something that's in all three, Christian, Jewish and Muslim scriptures.. Cain and Abel. Literally brothers. Fast forward a couple of chapters. Another set of brothers. Shem, Ham and Japheth. Their daddy Noah, The Most Righteous Man On Earth, got drunk and cursed his son. Somehow, that means that the entire almost half the population of the earth descended from Ham are cursed to eternal poverty and servitude. Fast forward another few chapters, Father Abraham... Who apparently had a problem common to his descendants, he couldn't keep his penis in his robes. Nor could his cousin Lot. Nor his grandsons Esau and Jacob. Nor his however many greats grandsons David and Solomon. The fragmentation of their kingdom after the death of Solomon was a direct precursor to the issues of which groups of their descendants own which parts of the land and, importantly, the water. (and now the oil, but the water is most important. You can't drink oil nor irrigate crops with it) To bring it back to the original theme, all men are brothers. We have, all of us, common ancestry. You know what they say about family, you can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your friends nose. But the fact is, we are all brothers. Israeli and Arab more so than the rest of the human race, the ONLY race. The concept could be expanded to living nice to every living thing on the earth, including the earth itself, and contracted to being nice to people in your immediate family, the children of your father and mother. For Jew and Other Tribes Of ISRAEL (also called "Samaritans") and Arabs the web of DNA ties is so complex, after all this time, who is Netanyahu that he can say that the Palestinian he spits on literally or figuratively isn't closer to him, genetically, than his first cousin? Those who assume the gulf between Palestinian and Jew have to ignore not only the genetic evidence but also, since they base their Hatred on Scripture, they have to ignore more than half of the Scriptures as well. That makes them Arrogant and Foolish all in one package, probably Blasphemers and, certainly, since the Dead supply the loudest witness to the fact... Murderers. Just like Cain. Most people in the world

In the dawning of the year 517 A.C.

Like in “After Columbus” or “Apocalypse Came” or “Anti-Cherokee” or “Aw, Crap! There’s not Any Chance of getting A Check in the mail today!” So there was a pow-wow the other day of First Nations peoples, downtown. Actually there’s been quite a few and I haven’t attended a single one. Right now I’m waking up, the last thing I did before crawling into the ol’ cot at some ungodly Pre-dawn hour was download a Beginner Course in speaking Cherokee. Because if I do attend a pow-wow I at least want to be able to say “good morning” in an American language. On the website for it, (I’ll post the address later) there was a short beginning on Cherokee written history. Which the teacher Sikawi aka Sequoia developed and published in 1821. The “alphabet” for writing Cherokee. A syllabary would be closer to the right word, it’s 86 characters that represent the phonemes of the Muskogeean languages. And as it turns out, the majority of the other American Indian languages can be written thus. I’ve been embarrassed for decades now that I don’t speak any of my heritage. I don’t speak Gaelic nor do I speak Cherokee. I know more words in German and Korean than I do Cherokee, and I can’t carry on an intelligent conversation in either of those languages. Turns out I’m not alone in that. When Sikawi wrote the syllabary there were only 10% of the Cherokee Nation who didn’t speak Cherokee fluently. Today that’s exactly reversed. Oh, yeah, it’s Columbus Day. Just another chance to reflect on the utter arrogance of a group of nations far away deciding that their way of life was so very superior that they have not only a Right but a Holy Duty to impose it on everybody everywhere. To put it into more perspective, three nations, Portugal, Italy and Spain call Columbus their son. Spain and Portugal were duking it out on a regular basis on the subject of which one was the True Leader of the Crusades. Which were, and are, still active. Never officially ended. Neither did the Inquisition. Europe was closer then to Children’s Crusade than we are to the Pilgrims. They were reaping the harvest of those evil sowings that included introducing a new species of Rat to Europe, along with Bubonic Plague, through the careful mis-management of the Trade Routes they had established during the Crusades. The majority of Europeans were living in such utter squalor, that the etiquette of the man walking on the outside of the sidewalk was developed, because people tossed their garbage and emptied their chamber pots into the gutter of the streets. The man walking on the outside would thus be in a position to open his cloak whenever a wagon went by, so the filth of the street would be deflected from getting all over the Damsel Faire. Also the custom of men’s shirts and coats buttoning with the flap on the left and the buttons on the right… so a man could unbutton a couple, with

Teabag Constitution Day, Acacia Park

THE NOT-WITH-MY-TAXES PATRIOTS are holding another tea party tomorrow, to mark Constitution Day Sept 17, 11AM downtown in Acacia Park, where two friends got permission to table there tomorrow to represent the Special Olympics and pass out applications. It's a terrible joke, but these teabaggers bring out my inner idiot. WE ARE TOMORROW going to don robes and false beards and circulate like multi-gendered Jesuses, through the throngs of angry Christians, passing out business cards on which we printed the passage from Matthew, what you did for the least of your brothers... But I'd really like to recruit an intrepid African American male to help me with a hypothesis. I'm pretty sure that at the height of the crowd's passions tomorrow, a single black voice raised against them, without his appearing to have allies nearby, will result in a spontaneous lunge to try to lynch him. Then we'll pounce, with the on-duty portion of the CSPD who aren't attending the event, and arrest the bigots. There won't be anybody left in the park.

“Sovereignty”— But only for Amerika…

As reported in Talking Points Memo: Congressional Sovereignty Caucus Launching Next Week By Eric Kleefeld - June 19, 2009, 5:40PM A new group is set to launch in the House of Representatives, made up of conservatives set on defending American POWER and interests against encroachment from international institutions: The Congressional Sovereignty Caucus. Their kickoff meeting will be this coming Wednesday, featuring co-founders Reps. Doug Lamborn (R-CO) and Thaddeus McCotter (R-MI), plus Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) -- and special guests Oliver North, Frank Gaffney and Doug Feith. Rep. Lamborn declined to comment, but his office did point us to an opinion column he wrote last week, mainly targeted at the nomination of Harold Koh to be the legal counsel to the State Department, in which he explained the importance of American sovereignty. "Sovereignty is vital for America because we are an exceptional nation," wrote Lamborn, "one uniquely blessed with a vibrant Judeo-Christian heritage, as demonstrated both through its founding documents and by the witness of history. For any nation, and I believe especially for America, to give up any degree of control of its destiny to transnational bodies is irresponsible and wrong." Their first meeting sure will have an interesting line-up. North, for example, covertly sold weapons to the Khomeini regime in Iran and then wore his Marine uniform at a Congressional hearing in order to justify himself. And Gaffney has written opinion columns in which he's raised suspicions that President Obama might not be a natural-born citizen, or could be a secret Muslim. Seems some members of the RepubliKlan party can't be bothered to learn the difference between "Nationalism" which by default would grant EVERY nation equal rights, and "Cold-blooded Imperialism", such as practiced by North, Gaffney and Feith. Also the "Founding Documents" which they insist gives Amerika exclusively to Christians.. oops "Judeo-Christians". My advice to Jewish Americans, who were deliberately excluded in the "Founding Documents" they mention: Stay clear of these freaks. The only reason they include Judeo is the same reason as George Bush trying to say how much he really loves Mexican American Culture, and showing off how much Spanish he really doesn't speak. Political Schmoozing, in other words. For those unfamiliar with Yiddish, Schmooz is "con job" as practiced by a "Schmiel" (thief) in order to defraud a "Schmozl" who is somebody dumb enough to be Schmoozed. Those documents also referred to Native Americans as "Savages" and to Black AMERICANS as only being worth 2/3 of a "real" person apiece. (but of course they weren't Racists, no sir!) Ollie North and friends say that Amerika is also destined to rule the world. Fat chance on that Ollie, and on behalf of the Marines you had MURDERED for political gain during the Beirut Peacekeeping mission, the ones whose killers received cash and weapons from you and your Coward Treasonous Comrades, before and after the murders took place, yeah, THOSE Marines, Ollie... I'll once again say those

Zionism’s unholy alliance

Tonight is Colorado Springs' first annual A Night to Honor Israel, an event put on by the local chapter of Christians United for Israel. On the face of it -- at least on the flyer for it -- the gathering appears to be an outreach of the Christian community to our Biblical compatriots in their "hour of need", whatever that means. Ostensibly a lovely gesture, but below the surface it's murkier. Does anyone remember Jerry Falwell? In 1979, Falwell founded the political lobby known as the Moral Majority on the following four principles: 1. opposition to abortion 2. support of the traditional family 3. strong American military 4. unconditional support for Israel Abortion, family, even military I understand. But unconditional support for Israel? Why would right-wing Christians be unabashedly pro-Israel? Jerry Falwell saw Israel's fate as a crucial international issue for Christians because of the role it plays in Biblical eschatological schemes. To Christian Zionists, the land of Israel is covenant land -- land that belongs not to Jews or Arabs but to God himself. It is on God's land that the Second Coming of Christ will occur. It is on God's land where the Chosen, the Jewish people, will perish by the millions in the battle of Armageddon, excepting those few Jews who accept Christ's final offer of salvation. To Christians, Israel is a key player in the Biblical apocalypse and little more. Christian Zionism is, at its core, supremely self-centered and anti-semitic. Not surprisingly, Christian Zionists are a major obstacle to a just peace between Palestine and Israel, pressuring both the U.S. and secular Israeli governments to refuse to cede a single inch of the Promised Land, indeed to take the entire West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and all of Jerusalem -- a message that American Jews are more than happy to embrace. Since 9/11 a growing contingent of the Christian Right has been aligned with Israel in another important respect. Both see militant Islam as the greatest threat to Judeo-Christian culture, a common enemy that must be defeated. Pastor John Hagee, who founded Christians United for Israel with the active assistance of none other than Jerry Falwell, has called for Israel to launch a pre-emptive strike against Iran, not to ensure the safety of the Jewish homeland, but to hasten Christ's return to earth and the certain annihilation of the Jewish people. I guess it is acceptable to be anti-semitic as long as you're pro-Israel. Although called to be peacemakers, Christian Zionists are happy to warmonger in the Middle East and will keep continued pressure on the U.S. government to support Israel's right to exist and be safe in the midst of the Islamic world -- at least until the Second Coming provides the Final Solution.

Stand united against Christian Endtimers who cheerlead colonial war for Zionism

SUNDAY 5/17- Colorado Springs Christians United For Israel has scheduled A Night to Honor Israel to instruct one and all "WHY it is necessary to stand united for Israel: "Biblically, Morally, Geo-politically" on Sunday May 17, from 3pm-7pm at the City Auditorium. Can you guess there will be something to say about this outside? COLORADANS FOR PEACE will be providing counterbalance to the racist war-mongering outside the City Auditorium, from before 3pm Sunday, until this message is heard: JUSTICE FOR PALESTINE, NO WAR WITH IRAN. With the consent and aid of the US, Israel most recently committed horrible atrocities in Gaza and Lebanon, and they continue to seize Palestinian land and oppress the Palestinian people. Inciting America's Christian community to rally for Zionist racism is exactly what will not serve the cause of peace in the Middle East. The CUFI invite reads: "Join us for Colorado Springs' first ever Night to Honor Israel as Christian and Jewish communities gather in a show of support for Israel. The event boasts traditional Israeli song and dance, a beautiful banner presentation of the Tribes of Israel, and dynamic speakers that will convey the importance of standing with Israel and encourage us to action. There will be an Israeli Marketplace, and the event will close with a light reception." Which sounds reasonable enough, until of course the mention of "encourage us to action." By action, the CUFI guest speakers mean war with Iran. The Colorado Springs event is one of scores scheduled across the country this weekend, intended as "a gift to Israel on the anniversary of her creation," an expression of unconditional support "in Israel's hour of need." Israel has in the last hour cast Lebanon and Gaza into death throes, as it grades the remainder of Palestine for Jewish settlements. By hour of need, do they mean, the threat posed by Iran acquiring nuclear weapons? Iran has never threatened the "destruction of Israel" other than the expressed hope that her Zionist system of apartheid borders be dissolved and the inhabitants of the region be permitted a democratic regime of their choosing. Here are some sample banner slogans: CHRISTIAN RIGHT + ZIONISM = UNHOLY ALLIANCE WHAT FRIEND OF ISRAEL CONDEMNS JEWS TO HELL? ISRAEL IS NOT YOUR ESCHATOLOGICAL PAWN CHRISTIAN ZIONISTS ARE ANTI-SEMITES Here's the COLORADANS FOR PEACE invite, please pass it around! Fellow peace activists, If you haven't heard already, we will be protesting "A NIGHT TO HONOR ISRAEL" to be held at the Colorado Springs City Auditorium this Sunday. The event is sponsored by Christians United For Israel, which teaches unconditional support of Israel, and is currently advocating for a US attack on Iran. This event is touted as the "First Annual" for Colorado Springs, and is among 60 happening on the same day all over the country as "a gift to Israel." The same featured speakers have been traveling the US over the last several months urging unilateral support for Israel "in her hour of great need." Darfur, the Israeli lobby & US Democrats

What does it mean for Africa when right wing end-of-the- world-is-near evangelical Christians join forces with the Robert F. Kennedy Center For Human Rights? What does it mean for African Americans when Bush, Obama, and nearly all last year's presidential candidates from both parties encourage the continuation of an African civil war rather than a political settlement between the parties? What does it mean when 21st century PR firms employ FaceBook, slick viral marketing and millions of dollars to create a simple, satisfying, feel-good excuse for military intervention on the African continent? --from Is There a Save Darfur Industrial Complex? But Save Darfur has gotten into hot water with aid groups helping the refugees of the conflict. In February it began a high-profile advertising campaign that included full-page newspaper ads, television spots and billboards calling for more aggressive action in Darfur, including the imposition of a no-flight zone over the region. Aid groups and even some activists say banning flights could do more harm than good, because it could stop aid flights. Many aid groups fly white airplanes and helicopters that may look similar to those used by the Sudanese government, putting their workers at risk in a no-flight zone. Sam Worthington, the president and chief executive of InterAction, a coalition of aid groups, complained to Mr. Rubenstein by e-mail that Save Darfur’s advertising was confusing the public and damaging the relief effort. “I am deeply concerned by the inability of Save Darfur to be informed by the realities on the ground and to understand the consequences of your proposed actions,” Mr. Worthington wrote. He noted that contrary to assertions in its initial ads, Save Darfur did not represent any of the organizations working in Darfur, and he accused it of “misstating facts.” He said its endorsement of plans that included a no-flight zone and the use of multilateral forces “could easily result in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of individuals.” Another aid group, Action Against Hunger, said in a statement last week that a forced intervention by United Nations troops without the approval of the Sudanese government “could have disastrous consequences that risk triggering a further escalation of violence while jeopardizing the provision of vital humanitarian assistance to millions of people.” Aid groups also complain that Save Darfur, whose budget last year was $15 million, does not spend that money on aid for the long-suffering citizens of the region. from the New York Times June 2, 2007 Darfur Advocacy Group Undergoes a Shake-Up 'The "Save Darfur (Coalition) was created in 2005 by two groups concerned about genocide in the African country - the American Jewish World Service and the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum... 'The coalition has a staff of 30 with expertise in policy and public relations. Its budget was about $15 million in the most recent fiscal year... from The Washington Post at http://www.overbrook.org/newsletter/06_07/pdfs/AJWS_Washington_Post.pdf Hillary Clinton on Darfur as she calls for more Pentagon intervention and wars abroad. Exposed breast

US beauty queen could lose title because she exposed her breast. NOTE+++ We could only show you Carrie Prejean's exposed leg since she exposed that breast while only 17 years old. Anybody putting online her exposed teenage breast could be handcuffed and hauled away as a pedophile! If you have downloaded a file of it you are in BIG, BIG trouble, Dude! 'Ms Prejean says the publication of the pictures were an attempt to silence her for "defending traditional marriages". She described the publication of the pictures as an attempt to "openly mock me for my Christian faith". "I am a Christian, and I am a model. Models pose for pictures, including lingerie and swimwear photos," she said.' Yes, Carrie, Christians everywhere are outraged about this, I can reassure you about that! Those damn Gays! They are always such trouble makers!

UCSB Prof William Robinson pro-Semite

Wouldn't you think it bad form for Israeli militants to behave like Nazis, while immunizing themselves with the self-righteous indignation that any criticism of their actions can simply be dismissed as "anti-Semitic?" Photographs and confessions emerging from the IDF's atrocities in Gaza just beg comparison the German Einsatzgruppen in Poland. Earlier this year UC Santa Barbara professor William Robinson forwarded an email photo essay to a UCSB listserv, the already much-circulated side by side comparison to the WWII atrocities. Two students complained, plagiarizing stock IDF lingo. Now the Anti-Defamation League wants Robinson to recant. With IDF propagandists pouring on the bullshit, let's revisit the documents. As has already been noted, Professor Robinson is a harsh critic of US foreign policy, and already a likely target for the goon squad enforcers of Western Capitalism. Not many of America's actions are defensible, so Robinson has to be attacked by desperate means. Lucky for the lackey-jackals, Robinson chose to criticize Israel's atrocities against the Palestinians of Gaza. Bingo! The Israeli propaganda machine has armed aspiring Israel-defenders with a blanket rebuttal: just yell "ANTI-SEMITISM!" And what a load of crap that is. Much turns on the definition of "anti-Semitism." It packs the punch of meaning someone who hates Jews, but the advocates of Zionism have expanded the definition into 3-D! Zionist apologist Nathan Sharansky has coined the 3D definition of ant-Semitism: demonization of Israel, double standards, and delegitimization. You don't have to look closely to note that those points outline all the rebuttals of criticisms of Israel and any question of the legitimacy of the Zionist usurpation of Palestine. The criticisms posed by those concerned for the fate of Gaza are the same expressed by a large portion of the Israeli Jewish population as well. But the US Israeli lobby, militantly Zionist, has the complicity of the US war-mongering corporate media, thus the IDF Megaphone protestations get traction. These are the same cheap shots leveled against Ward Churchill. By flooding the internet to create the sensation that the indignation was shared, the IDF spammers have been successful in slandering these dissenting academics. Since we're seeing this technique being slopped unto our comment forums, let's examine the statement for which Robinson is being attacked. First we'll present Robinson's email. The next post will feature the ensuing letters of complaint, two from UCSB students, and third from the ADL. Original Email Here is Professor Robinson's original email, including his attachment of the Judith Stone article. This accompanied the aforementioned photo essay he forwarded. Subject: [socforum] parallel images of Nazis and Israelis From: "William I. Robinson" ... Date: Mon, 19 Jan 2009 21:00:05 ... If Martin Luther King were alive on this day of January 19, 2009, there is no doubt that he would be condemning the Israeli aggression against Gaza along with U.S. military and political support for Israeli war crimes, or that he would be standing shoulder to shoulder with the Palestinians. I am forwarding some horrific, parallel images of Nazi atrocities against the Jews and Israeli atrocities

Oh, that bad view from the Yad Vashem ‘museum’!

Yad Vashem is a Jewish State 'Holocaust Museum' with a bad view. It is a site set to 'remember' the slaughter of Jews in WW2 but it also sits with an actual physical view out over the local area where JEWISH Zionist TERRORISTS slaughtered their Arab Palestinian neighbors in the 1948 massacre at Deir Yassin .....Shhhh.... don't mention it, please. Yad Vashem fires employee who compared Holocaust to Nakba It seems that some Jews are considered more politically correct than others under the Jewish State 'philosophy'? This Jewish employee just couldn't close his eyes and pretend and for that, he had to be eliminated to create yet another victim for the Jewish Terrorist squads. Yes, the Jewish State was founded through JEWISH TERRORISM, not Arab. Yad Vashem, the 'Holocaust Museum' wants us to forget and the US Christian Zionists never knew in the first place. Those Christians seemingly only get their 'news' from Fox... which likes to relay 'news' over from places like Yad Vashem. Christian and Jewish Zionists united in a new Crusade to their Holy Land! That Jewish employee got in the way of it all. What a bad boy!

Republican-Democrat? It’s a Christian thing.

I have to delineate this in three different perspectives, that of Christians who don't preach that God tells us to kill people, people who say they're Christians and that God DOES say to kill and torture people, and people who don't claim the name of Christ and say that God doesn't tell us to kill and torture people. Since the issue was raised, why Republican makes such a huge difference: They not only are making Torture and Killing the major part of their platform for the mid-term elections but for the 2012. I brought up Sarah Palin and Bobby Jindal because they're both being considered as candidates They also, like the entire leadership of their party and the only vocal members of their party, who are fortunately very loud in their screams for the blood of everybody who Is Not Them.... ...claim to be the representatives of God on earth. Literally. I don't listen to KVOR by choice, but the idiots who do like to play it REAL damn loud because that's the only way they can convince anybody to listen to it. and a loving God in His infinite mercy and wisdom failed to provide me with ear-lids. Sarah Palin, for instance, is a lay-minister in the Assembly of God church. Somehow the AOG has slipped a little in the past 40 years because they used to not allow their women to wear slacks... far less dressing like a crack whore. Bobby Jindal, Gingrich, Vitter, the list goes on, Huckabee and Romney... aside from all of them being Chickenshit ChickenHawks who are all for killing people just as long as they don't have to put themselves at risk to do it... Claim to be Christians. So do the loudmouth rednecks on KVOR. Huckabee is a preacher. Romney took draft deferments because he was doing his Mormon missionary service. Gingrich converted to Catholicism so he could get an annulment from wife #2, thus wife #3 wouldn't be judged as a whore. Kind of like Henry the Eighth. He's also considering a run for President in 2012. All this in the name of God. If the R's hadn't made these things their entire platform I would be entirely wrong to criticize them (almost) exclusively. The Democratic Party doesn't claim an exclusive right to speak for Christians... Now, see, I AM a Christian, remember? It's where I get the Brother part of my name. That means I do have a horse in this race. If I allowed the Christian version of the Taliban speak unchallenged on this or any other issue I would be betraying God. And, like the boy scout oath, My Country as well. A lot of Christians have about zero tolerance for outsiders telling them what's wrong with with their version of what Christ said and did. Let's make that fair, eh? Those readers who are pagans, Buddhists, Jews, Muslim, Atheist, do YOU ever take it kindly when people tell you, speaking from THEIR faith, or the dogma thereof, what YOU as a pagan or Buddhist or Jew or Muslim or Atheist has to believe or how you're supposed

That nutty Catholic Church once again!

Hey, we're nuts here at NMT and we admit it. But what about the Catholic Church that wants so much so, that others continue to take it seriously as they have for millennia? Here's the latest, as the Papal legions had mobilized to try to force a 9 year old Brazilian girl to carry to term twins after she was raped by her step father! They are just such a sick church that it should be enough to make Christians join Scientology even! Rape row sparks excommunications ...Do Catholics really think that they're going to Heaven with beliefs like the Pope's, because God will certainly give the biggest kick ever to the rear end of the present Pope when he comes a knocking on the Pearly Gates? The guy's a total and disgusting clown!

Dave Schultheis of Colorado State Senate District 9- Lost in a Black Hole of Stupidity

In this day and age, science has finally located the Black Hole of Human Stupidity and it is centered on Colorado State Senator Dave Schultheis, elected representative of Colorado State Senate District 9. That's quite a dishonor, but Dave fully deserves the distinction. I mean today, how many public officials have Joseph McCarthy listed as a great American patriotic hero on their website? That's major league Black Hole of Stupidity if there ever was one and the people of State District 9 elected this twit! Let his love of American fascist Joe McCarthy be expressed in his own words. Here he answers a man who wrote him opposed to his legislative support for mandatory recitations of the Pledge of Allegiance... 6. Your passing references to McCarthy are noted. I would encourage you to do some reading on Mr. McCarthy. The modern myth about him serves the political agenda of the anti-American crowd, but it does not serve history or the nation very well. McCarthy was a golden boy from Wisconsin, the youngest sitting judge ever appointed in that state, and the youngest man to be elected from that state to the U.S. Senate. He married a Washington beauty queen after moving to the capital. Because of his natural talent and intellectual and moral strength, he was on the fast track to high places. He sacrificed his personal ambitions in order to confront no-kidding Communists who had infiltrated the U.S. at high levels, and his efforts helped lead to the conviction of Alger Hiss and other documented Communist spies. Secret Soviet cables known as the Venona Project which were declassified in 1995 have removed any doubt about this. It may sound far-fetched, given all the modern nonsense you have heard about McCarthy, but his true legacy was not one of forcing patriotism on innocent little children, an association you seem to draw. It was one of courageous, though imperfect, defense of the world's freest and best political institutions. Again, I commend him to your prudent investigation. I hope this helps you understand my point of view, and that of others advocating both formal, public patriotism, and inner, personal patriotism. This country is great. This country is good. Loving it deeply enough to advocate public ceremonies which reflect that love is not dangerous, but healthy. Naturally, I would be happy to answer your open letter, should you care to send one, with one of my own. Best regards to you, and thank you again for taking the time both to write and follow up. Dave Schultheis See Rep. Schultheis Responds to Constituent on Pledge of Allegiance ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Want more words of wisdom from this homophobic and immigrant-phobic dingbat, Dave Schultheis? How about his website's headliner quote against being tolerant? Here it is then... "Tolerance is a virtue of a man without convictions." -- G. K. Chesterton, who strongly influenced C.S. Lewis So who is this G.K. Chesterton whose quote Schultheis puts on his website?
