Says Reuters, it’s “a verdict that could endanger the Republican’s political future.” That’s all, for betraying the public trust? Though each charge carries a max five year sentence, reporters predict that Stevens will face only probation. And while Governor Sarah Palin issued a statement denouncing the culture of corruption in the Alaskan oil business, she stopped short of asking for the senator’s resignation. It’s thought neither will the US Senate. What is the point then of catching politicians red handed?

The US has created 300,000 refugees in one province of Pakistan alone, continues to bomb that country’s civilians almost daily, and now is sending US assassination squads into Syrian towns in preparation for what? You might want to ask Joseph Biden on that one? Where are the Democrats? Where are the so-called American peace groups? Where is America’s conscience and consciousness?

Obama wants more troops to Afghanistan, and Biden wants to start a war with Sudan’s government. And nobody talks about the 3,000,000 PLUS refugees made in Somalia by the US-Ethiopian tag team! Nobody talks about the US-UN tag team in absolutely hurricane devastated, US occupied Haiti! American liberals just have no shame, now do they? All they want to do is spit on Sarah Palin. They have John McCain under microscope but seem blind to their own Messiah?

What do liberals really think they will get with Barack Obama and Joseph Biden? Don’t they take these guys for their word? The Democrats want better run wars, not less war. Duh…

Don’t liberal Democrats ever get the most simple truths? Don’t tell me…. I already know the answer to that question. What a hopeless gang of dumb little donkeys they are. COLORADO SPRINGS- Obama draws 100,000 in Denver while McCain and goons have the elbow room to drop in at Conways Red Top. I think his campaign chose the Sarah Palin freak show so that the GOP could be seen drawing some kind of comparable attention. Otherwise, the only people interested in hanging with John McCain are John Elway and redneck diners.

Obama McCain projectionSome polls says the race is neck and neck, others show an Obama lead. Baseball experts FiveThirtyEight.com, who poll the pollsters, adjusting like they do for sports as if their prediction has got to matter, (and who, by the way, predicted the Rays would make the Series), give Obama a breakaway victory. The factors which I’ve been polling indicate something completely different.

You’ve noticed them too I’m sure.

1. Who’s showing the respect?
How many politicians and newscasters begin every mention of John McCain with how much they respect the veteran Senator? My unofficial poll says: 100% OF THEM. I’m sure that even if reports came out about McCain squelching POW/MIA efforts, they would begin with reverential references to his reputation. Why is everyone on TV so concerned to say how much they love, respect, admire, etc, John McCain, even as they offer criticism of what he’s saying? Most of McCain’s personal history is really damning. All of his political maneuvers are opportunistic and wrong-headed. Yet everyone always makes sure to show their deference.

Would that be your inclination, if you had to talk about the little creep? McCain stands for nothing but false accusations against Obama, praise for Sarah Palin’s qualifications, and he speaks in sound bites which only add to his incoherence. The mini-hothead accomplished squat in Congress except to support Bush, protect Keating, and sandbag against Vietnam vets. Still everyone is careful to sing his praises?

If you want to argue that it’s just being polite. Consider that the chorus is offering no such formality to Barack Obama. You don’t hear them saying what a fine fellow Obama is before they tell you how they disagree with what latest action he’s taken.

So that’s a prediction, with a consensus of 100% of the Beltway, with a margin or error of nobody, that “gotta love him.” You wanna bet they know John McCain is going to come out of this race in a more influential position than he is now?

2. Who’s fixed the election?
And let’s poll the swing states with GOP-affiliated state-employed election officials who have prepared the voter rolls with a mind to suppress the Obama vote. Also 100%. What does this mean?

Barack Obama may be anticipated to have more votes than John McCain. But investigations into election tampering already perpetrated by Republican election officials show the number of disenfranchised Democratic voters is bigger than Obama’s hopeful margin. So where does that leave the election? And why would those working to rig the election take the risk, if they anticipate an Obama landslide?

Most of the voter registration purges have already happened, and from early voting experiences we’re reliving the suspicious equipment malfunctions of 2004.

No. The polls that matter are already braced for McCain.

3. Who has your friends’ vote?
Now try an informal poll of how the people around you are going to vote. Your personal poll results may vary, but I’d be interested to know if they vary by much.

A positive predominance of our neighbors are for McCain. Ditto, our extended families. I can’t explain it, honestly. We’re talking people with wealth, with education, with some sense. For McCain. It’s unscientific, it’s wide open, it’s a terribly embarrassing phenomenon, but is it so unlikely? The American people have a reputation which precedes them. Why imagine that you and I don’t know a representative sample of them?

How are the numbers looking from your vantage point? America is going to get the candidate they deserve.

Ashley ToddShould we be surprised that a McCain campaign worker would carve a “B” in her cheek and claim twas an Obama supporter who did it? (But no surprise she didn’t think to reverse the mirror image.) Fortunately Pittsburgh police have skepticism for white women who claim they’ve been attacked by 6ft 4in black males. Although both John McCain and Sarah Palin called to express their concern. This sort of thing used to lead to lynching. Is that what the GOP will incite next?

Ashley Todd’s wild story of a black male assailant carving a “B” into her cheek as punishment for having a McCain sticker on her car was eventually debunked by Pittsburgh police. Not before the story was used to anger Republican voters. Although charges are now being pressed against Todd for filing a false police report, the press is having difficulties locating Ms. Todd or her family, and her GOP campaign supervisors are offering no help.

vote fraudThis morning reactionary AOL front-lined for its predominately Republican fans, that the Gallup poll showed the election was a tossup! What a joke! Reuters has a much different read on the presidential election stating that Obama lead on McCain grows to 12 points In fact, it might not even really be that close? The McCain ticket does well in only an urban area or two in the entire country (Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, and a very few others). People in most metro areas do not like McCain except in some of the suburbs.

Why is McCain sliding so fast? The reality is simply that not even the business community throughout most of the nation wants a Bush clone in office at this time. Bush did his job for them but his style and directly reactionary politics is all used up at this particular moment. And even more so, the business community doesn’t want a Fundamentalist Christian fool in office, which is what Sarah Palin would be if McCain died. The American Business Community, at this crashing moment world wide, wants a team of directors that might be able to keep the Western European countries from going into open rebellion against their own DC based Empire??? It might be a little too late for that however?

The Democratic Party will have control over the Presidency, the House, and the Senate. A perfect target for the Right to blame for the coming economic meltdown already under sway. Why is that? Because the Democratic Party political platforms are perfect for disintegrating the country even more as they continue to give the military-industrial complex all the plum economic government welfare contracts.

The Right will promote that very same too, but will then turn around and blame everybody and anybody else for the destruction that this will cause. Time for the hate filled then to get rabid. The predominantly Rightist Churches will be a preaching and praying against the supposed immorality and indecency that will be blamed on The Others, and history will repeat itself one more time as most folk will find it easier to go after the more defenseless people who’ll they find to be their victims, rather than those more responsible for their disintegrating plight.

Obama Sucks t-shirt vendorCOLORADO SPRINGS- At Sarah Palin’s rally at Sky Sox Stadium on Monday, it was really depressing to see the thousands of people still turning up to see her. But what a bunch they were, and many of them brought children. A few local Dems showed up at 6am to demonstrate for Obama, and a hairy counter-protester set up a t-shirt stand across the street. He kept shouting “Obama sucks” every few seconds. However inane, his effect was demoralizing. He struck this fitting pose when he saw me aim my camera.

SNL pays their respect to Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin on Saturday Night LiveSARAH PALIN GETS A PASS ON SNL. But much more than that. From cultural figures whom we suppose to be rabid critics of the ice-rink-leibfrau, we get deference, flirty ass-kissing, an abrupt skedaddle, and an ovation. What were we expecting — Palin to embarrass herself? She’s flubbed her interviews, the debate, and by my measure for certain, every utterance. But Saturday Night Live amped the celebrity appearance and let Palin make of it her least funny yet, and to a chorus of applause.

No really. Make what you will of the take-a-pass gag (lifeline?), Palin worked out not having to face the headlights. Some viewers may think her refusal to do the Weekend Update rap skit was real in live-time. But she didn’t make a fool of herself, and she got to look like a good sport. She got deference from Lorne Michaels, star-struck flirtation from Alec Baldwin, a prompt skedaddle from Tina Fey, and an ovation from the SNL audience when she finally reached the microphone. This, when most of us want to level accusations to her face or instinctively step on her feet. Instead we watch our only few political/cultural heroes fawn over the Machiavelli in lipstick doofus.

It’s a pattern established by George Dubya.

I don’t know for sure if the O-man himself bought the food for us, or his campaign people here in town.

Either way it’s a touch of Class that no way in Hell would the McCain people be able to match.

Because Obama, and the people who are working for his campaign, are people who Give a Damn.

None of the StormFront supplied bull-poo about “palling around with terrorists”, none of the “his middle name is Hussein” like that seriously makes three quarters of a measurable amount of difference…

It comes down to People, which is what America the nation is all about.

I know it was one of Sarah and John’s supporters because the stupid coward bastard couldn’t even spell Obama right.

Sarah handiwork.They’re getting their anti-Obama rhetoric, the accusations of “Terrorism” the racist use of “Muslim”, “Arab”, and “Half-rican American” directly from people like Rush Limbaugh and Corsi, people who DO pal around with Terrorists, StormFront to be exact.

Yeah, THAT John McCain, who has expressed his contempt for lobbyists but is the Son of a Lobbyist and has over a hundred and forty of them managing his campaign…

Nowadays the excuse the Right Wing use to try to ban Huck Finn is because one of the characters is named Nigger Jim.

At the time the precursors of todays Right Wing used the notion that Nigger Jim was probably the smartest person in the whole book.

And was more of a father to young Huck than his own Pap.

Huck’s father was illiterate, and proud of it.

Jim was illiterate but kept there by law.

Huck’s father would put his boot-nails in the shape of a cross so the Devil wouldn’t reach up and grab his ankles.

Huck paid a counterfeit quarter for a counterfeit Psychic Reading where Jim channeled for a hairball from out of a cow’s stomach.

Huck and Tom had a conversation in the prior book where they described the use of a dead cat, a cemetery and a fresh grave as a cure for warts, that Huck had “got the idea from a Nigger, and they know all about superstitions”.

Those who didn’t miss the subtleties of those exchanges and concepts wanted to lynch Mark Twain.

I’m sure McCain and Palin both use the expressing “Pressing the flesh” when referring to their (certainly not elitist) Campaign without completing the phrase, “of the great unwashed”.

I bet they have staff members nearby with Handi-wipes to wash their hands with after shaking hands with Real Working People….

And mouthwash for after they kiss our babies.

That should have been “expression” but was instead a True Error in grammatic structure.

Rather than saying that people who want to go forth and Kill Barack Obama are “Real Americans” and those who don’t are “anti-america”.

That’s not a mistake, it’s a blatant LIE.

I’m afraid the GOP is never going to go broke underestimating the American public.

Angelina JolieI think that it is just so great that Angelina Jolie is breast feeding the baby in this picture. It’s time for the babies of the world to rise up and reclaim those boobs!

However don’t those sun glasses look kind of stupid on her since now all the macho men will probably want their Significant Others to wear them, too, when breast feeding? Oh well… People these days need role models such as Jolie is doing here just like the La Leche League would want her.

That is meant to deflect the October Surprise if Bush and Israel decide to attack Iran before the US presidential election. Meanwhile, Troopergate and the Economic Crash have put a stake into the heart of The Old Vampire, John McCain.

Obama opens double-digit lead as Palin under fire The Northern states’ business community is about to take back direct control of the White House away from the Southern states’ business community once again.

America’s business community as a whole remains quite split which has kept it somewhat close in the polls for McCain. But this time around, they are not about to let the Southerners stalk off with a marginal ‘victory’ once again. There is just too much at stake as European business support for the US has become seriously loosened by the Bush Administration belligerence and unilateralism. America’s leadership at the pack of world wolves is slipping fast, and the less rabid amongst the business community know that.

An attack though in the next weeks on Iran would throw all calculations into a swirl. Would it still be able to work to McCain’s favor? We cannot truly know for sure, but it actually at this point, might just appear to be way too obvious an election ploy to work well? We shall see….?
