Any thinking person in America would realize that the US military is fully funded and yet much more. But to the more gullible Americans, ‘the troops’ just still weren’t getting enough so the US Army itself created an organization to cull those suckers yet deeper into their net. They called their little creation the ‘Army Emergency Relief’, and self-promoted themselves as being a disconnected charity rather than the Pentagon itself! Obama sure knows how to talk out of both sides of his mouth at once! And that’s exactly what makes him and the Democratic Party so dangerous to the American people. With the Republican Party of Open Violence everybody knows what’s coming down, but with the Democrats it’s quite different. 
Barack Obama is playing a giant con game with the American people, as he gives away tax monies right, left, and center without any ability to really solve America’s economic woes by the framework constructed through his giveaways. At the center of this fraud is his camouflaging of the entire military industrial governmental complex’s constant appetite for yet more Pentagon based welfare. He’s pouring more troops into Afghanistan, maintaining US military presence in Iraq, and upholding the use of torture behind the pretense (GWOT) of waging a war against non US State or Israeli State Terrorism. Why?
Obama is covering up for George Bush’s Administration use of torture as policy. He wants to have it both ways, first claiming that he is changing policy, then in engaging in the old policies of ‘rendition’ and coverup of torture of POWs held by the US military. But there is yet another coverup underway, and that is how Obama is covering up for George Bush’s illegal support for the illegal actions of Israel in Gaza and elsewhere (remember Lebanon?). The big news about the new Democratic Party Administration is the obvious one. Barack Obama is not pulling the US government out of Iraq. He is stalling us there and is committed to doing that as long as the US government can get away with it, which might be quite a while? If the US were to pull out anytime soon, the simple reality is that the puppet government left behind would have its remaining days quite numbered.
There is a growing effort to defend the use of torture on POWs by the US military, and it centers around the Pentagon’s and the corporate media’s effort to convince the American people that some Guantanamo inmates have become terrorists post discharge. These POWs were discharged because they were found to be innocent of ‘terrorism’, but now the Pentagon and US media want to paint a picture of US military incompetence, all to bolster a campaign to defend those that tortured these POWs when they were at the US run torture concentration camp called Guantanamo (Gitmo).
It may have suited the corporate media to paint 60s radical Bill Ayers as an aging, bespectacled hippie, but in his day, student movement leader turned anti-imperialist bomber Billy Ayers had the magnetism of James Dean. And the street cred of John Dillinger.
After ten years underground Dohrn and Ayers gave themselves up. The early eighties movie Running On Empty gave a fictional account of their ordeal. It made an interesting assertion through Christine Lahti’s role, at who might have been the moral center of the revolutionary duo.
Not to take any credit away from Bill Ayers, but perhaps Bernardine Dohrn made too attractive a “domestic terrorist.” No doubt an intelligent, decisive woman does not fit the evildoer stereotype.
Banks crashed on the day of CHANGE that isn’t change, and the ruling class tried to put new lipstick on its pig. No major bank was spared the carnage as Bank of America’s shares plunged 29 percent; Citigroup’s 20 percent, and State Street Corp., which reported sharply lower earnings, saw its shares plummet 59 percent. 
Shell Oil claims to be Green, Green, Green! Corporate Green is more like it though, yet that did not stop the oil company from running advertisements in recent years that included a picture of an oil refinery, with chimneys producing flowers and a headline that read “Don’t throw anything away — there is no away”. 
Thailand has long been a US government ally, and one that has ‘serviced’ US military personnel with its women for decades now. The Thai government is fully on board the US military reign of State Terrorism abroad, with its own eager embracing of torturing its religious minority, the Muslims of that country.
