Banksters buying debt again, another bucket of bailout bait?

So one credit card (not debit, which is money you do have, but credit which for some reason is money you DON’T have, God they’ve screwed up the English language) offers a 5% cash rebate for up $300 a quarter (I think) in purchases. Or, $15 back. Which another card issuer, Chase, as in Salmon P Chase, the fellow on the non-circulating $1000 bill and Lincoln’s Secretary of Treasury, but Chase is offering the same deal up to $1500 dollars, and points out that it’s 5 times as much, you can get $75 back… on a much bigger credit card debt. As the RepubliCan’t Party points out, as though it’s the Poor being freeloaders, more than half of Americans don’t make enough money to owe taxes. $20,000 a year for a family of four. So you go into debt for approximately a months wages + a few bux, and get $75 back. And some really steep fees for as long as you’re paying that one debt off.
And while they’re screaming on FOX that the Poorer People are irresponsible and can’t do math (yeah, right! Like FOX still believing that selling bonds for ten percent annually wouldn’t double the War Debt in ten years as opposed to simply funding it through higher taxes at the start) and Wall Street, you remember them, Chase used to use the word Manhattan in it’s name… Wall Street in other words… they’re selling massive debt to those who can least afford it, and to people who really CAN’T do math and you can tell because the targets are told that a $75 rebate on what’s more than 2 grand worth of debt (they’re hoping that people don’t know what the term “interest” means) is a special deal.
Then they’re bundling the debts…

They’re bundling them and selling them the same way they bundled and sold mortgages. They marketed the original Product the same way, telling people in Seminars and Books-on-Tape and Infomercials for all of those get rich quick WITH GOV’T GUARANTEES of payment. What they didn’t tell the people, that you get a Fanny Mae Freddy Mack loan to buy a house with “little or no money down”, do some cheap cosmetic repairs and resell it for enough of a profit to settle your part of the FM/FM mortgage, buy two more houses the same way and the Government meaning, the American People would be required to back you up in case anything went wrong.
Well, a LOT went wrong. The people you’d end up selling to would be people who were investing in Real Estate to try to get out from under a massive debt load, that load coming from working at wages that were less than what it cost you to produce your labor. Again, a top-down, Trickled Down Reaganomics decision. So you’re in hock, left holding the bag when the GreedHeads manipulating the entire scam manage to tank the economy of the whole world, and you discover that YOUR investment isn’t the one that’s “backed by Federal Government Guarantees”… It’s the banks, like Chase, Morgan-Stanley, Wells Fargo, Bank of America etc… who got the money from the Taxpayers… after investing what amounts to less than nothing in the scam. The only people who actually invested were whatever people they could convince to bankroll their scam until it inevitably folded.

Like the stupid bastards who backed the ReagBush-Oh, NO!-mics and actually believed that when Bush sold twice as much Taxpayer Debt, merely deferred for a decade, and BECAUSE it was deferred, to finance a war that was blatantly a gift to the richest people in the world.

How Much, for instance, do you believe Erik Prince of Blackwater or Richard Cheney of Halliburton, invested of their OWN money into the war? Even though they got paid handsomely for it. Helps, too, that the Richest Corporation in the world had their CEO as Vice President of the United States giving blank-check, open-ended no-bid contracts to his own company? But the people who still believe in their stupid little brains that it’s the POOR people who crashed the economy worldwide believe that the deal was actually “No Tax Increase”. In a way it was, No Tax Increase for THEM.

The EuroZone economy crumbling, was it indeed from Socialized Medicine and subsidized tuition as the Right Wing Retards wish we were stupid enough to believe? How about their costs (since so many of them were also in NATO and in the Koalition of the Killing) that Their Taxpayers had to pony up to support the War? But we’re not supposed to ever mention that. Convenient, for the Thieves.

Example, Britain became a debtor nation right after WW ONE… actually during, and at a time when their empire ruled “the sun never sets on our empire” worth of the World. Yeah. BEFORE they gave up Hong Kong, or India, or even world war 2, BUT… more than 3 decades BEFORE National Health Care went into effect, while Child Labor laws weren’t yet instituted, before “the Dole”, before Women Got The Vote, before the end of the Gold Standard, Before Every Single MuFU event the Right Wing Propagandists declare to be the turning point in British and American Economic History

There’s a long string of lies that get unraveled by that last statement. Anybody who still believes anything the Right Wing in any incarnation tells, shame on you for being stupid and shame on your parents for not insisting on getting you educated BEFORE you were legally old enough to sign contracts or make political decisions that effect everybody else.

Meanwhile, Chase is creating more debt which is being bundled, and sold, like it was real cash, by the same Federally Guaranteed “Too Big To Fail” fatcat Wall Street bankers. Car loans too. Got too much car debt, like so many do? Sell the fucker for scrap metal and SCREW the Repo-man and the Banksters.

They’ve done it to us. For that matter, Bank fixin’ to foreclose on your house? Burn the fucker to the ground.

Or, in an alternative plan, Occupy! in the fullest sense of the word. Park your cars in the middle of the street and walk away, take those Hoff & Leigh signs that are everywhere around town, on mostly foreclosed homes and businesses, and SQUAT. There’s some in every neighborhood of the city (Colorado Springs, but I bet you readers in other cities have the same issue) and enough that those suddenly struggling to get a “legitimate” home after being turned out of their fomer, Take The Houses, Take The Business Buildings. Pull up the lawns and plant vegetable gardens.

Think it’s not possible or sustainable? There’s communities created like that all over Spain which have existed since the Spanish Civil War began and which have withstood 9 decades worth of official repression. It’s one of the two most likely ways the Bankster Theft Problem will be resolved, the other is absolute fealty to a Corporate State.

Spank a Vet with a warm fuzzy Attaboy

For those who think that the Peace people dishonor the veterans, think a bit on what the most prominent campaigns has to offer in the way of humiliation. One of the “new and improved” corporate motivational methods is called “peer recognition” because research showed that workers don’t want to actually be, you know, adequately paid for our labor which enriches our bosses and impoverishes us. No, we want the empowerment of “recognition” for our good deeds. Say (and this happens far too often to be hypothetical) you have an innovation that saves your company many times your annual salary. What does the boss do to reward you?

First he patents your innovation and declares it corporate intellectual property, then gives you an award ceremony where he more or less pats your head and tells you “Attaboy!” which those English speakers who own dogs might recognize. There’s even an award letter, usually hand-written by your supervisor, saying “Attaboy!” and sometimes a Warm Fuzzy, which is a recognition pin that looks kind of like a piece of pocket lint or a dust-bunny from under a desk. How special, right? Your peers get to recognize that your contribution made the boss wealthier and as a reward you get treated like a dog in front of God and everybody. In the Military, the ultimate enforcement arm of the Corporate Empire, you get something called a “medal” or a “service ribbon” and there’s even a medal for not getting arrested for a year. Seriously.

This type of manipulative behavior is as old as the idea of organized military. A pay and benefits raise would be a lot more meaningful than a piece of brass or maybe silver with a recycling value of maybe a buck. But gosh darn it, that would be Too Expensive. So the Corporates, the sole beneficiaries of Military Action, get to go even further with the “Thank A Vet” campaign, they get their publicly subsidized (corporate welfare) non-employees to do a really dangerous job, people who are being robbed of THEIR essential rights and freedoms in the name of making Americans (or at least their corporate owners) Free (to take all the resources of the subjugated nations and kill anybody who resists) tend to fight back. Throw airplanes at “our” buildings and such.

Add in that the equipment the military uses, at great public expense and huge private profits to the Corporates, is usually dangerous in itself. Take Depleted Uranium, (please) which makes a steel shell more massive in less space. Those of you who understand ballistics would appreciate that and those who don’t, study it. It’s simple Newtonian physics. With a titanium tip and an explosive charge it can go through any armor. “Terror” groups who are targeted by, say, American or British tanks realize this and if they can obtain an intact round (one that didn’t get smashed or exploded) will re-load it and send it back. The uranium, the heaviest naturally occurring element, has value especially in small pieces to be used in a “dirty bomb”. (The Corporates, natural born and then trained Terrorists themselves, unleash “dirty bombs” on Americans every damn day, witness the Toxic Waste Dump “Gold Hill Mesa” being sold as median priced McMansion real estate right here on the West Side of Colorado Springs.)

It’s also poisonous in the same way that mercury, lead and white arsenic are poisonous. A whole list of metals heavier than iron in fact.

Instead of paying the soldiers who contracted DU poisoning in the past few wars, the Publicly Funded enforcement arm of the Corporates, the Pentagon, denounced them as frauds, malingerers and punished them.

Thanks, Vet!

The same with Agent Orange. The Army investigators and lawyers (in Colorado that’s pronounced “liars”, true story) said something really scary about that, and it’s scary because it’s true. “The Military uses a vast array of chemicals to maintain the ‘safety’ of the bases” and coupled that with the truly chilling “there’s no significant difference between those exposed to Agent Orange and those soldiers who were not, in relation to cancers.”

True. Agent Orange is a weed killer, on base they can’t afford to have high brush, grass, weeds and trees. So they poison them. They also can’t have animals wandering around, snakes, the rodents on which the snakes feed, skunks, foxes, cats, dogs, or the local equivalents Bugs too. And of course birds. A bird being hit by an aircraft can seriously ruin the day for the pilot. And cost the Corporate Overlords a pretty penny for each (not really, the Corporates who gain the most from Military Action pay the least taxes, it’s the Taxpayers who pay).

And that parenthetical statement says a lot…

See, the “Thank A Vet” campaign, much lauded as Corporate Generosity, there’s a reason Corporate gift-giving is so well documented.

Because they don’t actually “give” the money or services. They deduct them from their taxes. Then do like they did in August and whine, snivel and wring their hands over the Deficit.

The “Thank A Vet” program, the “You are not forgotten” POW flags that line the pockets of Ross Perot and his butt-buddies like John McCain, publicly funded, most of them double-dipped public funds because they’re sold to municipalities. Can you think of a single government building that isn’t flying one of those retarded flags? And it’s based on a lie too, the Hanoi government turned over all the prisoners of war they were holding back in 1975. Notwithstanding all the Chuck Norris, Steven Seagal, Jean-Claud van Damm, Sylvester Stallone and other non-veterans-who-portray-soldiers-in-the-proud-tradition-of-Ronald Reagan-George Bush-and-John Wayne making a lot of money providing the propaganda that sells the flags.

Speaking of “double dipping” and George Bush, as in Bush the Elder, when he attained the presidency he ended “double dipping” meaning getting both CHAMPUS and Medicare benefits. Way to Thank A Vet, George!
My grandfather who had recently passed away had told me that I should have stayed in for the full twenty years because the Military would take good care of me in my old age. Yeah, right.

His widow, my Grandma, died penniless in a nursing home, her Social Security and Medicare benefits signed over to the home. Way To Thank A Vet, Reaganite Sucks!

The current wrangling over whether or not the Workers who EARNED the benefits of Social Security, SSI, Medicaid, etc… should actually receive them, with the theme that only the Rich deserve or even need to have leisure, discretionary income, health care, all the goodies that separate the industrialized world from the Third World… and the rest of us only need a warm fuzzy Attaboy!

George Bush the Chimpleton, by the way, actually went one step further in demeaning the people we’re supposed to pat on the head and tell them “Good Boy! Who’s a good boy? You’re a good boy, yes you are!”

He actually rubbed the head of a double amputee veteran in a photo-opportunity propaganda session at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

The veteran was a Black man as well, the racist connotations of rubbing the head of a black person are well known, but it’s so God-damn Plantation Ignorant that even people in TEXAS don’t do it.

Keep your thanks, I’d rather have the money due me. I didn’t stay in the military long enough to get anything but a free grave when I die, but my very poorly paid service to the Corporations in the private “workforce” (they don’t even call us Human Resources anymore, how’s that for recognition?) wherein they tore my right foot half off while taking 5 times what they paid me, that in itself earns entitlements Due Wages. Just, you know, I realize I ain’t going to be paid.

Soylent Green is PEOPLE!

War costs many times what Pentagon reported, Surprise.

We’ve been told, you know, that the total spending on the Wars Of Conquest in the Bananastans was “only” a Trillion dollars. For those who don’t visualize numbers very well, that’s a million times a million. Using the largest standard bill in U.S. Currency, the $100, it would take a suitcase to hold a million dollars, and it would weigh just over 22 pounds, ten kilograms. (Each bill weighs a gram, 10,000 bills… hey, people in the drug trade know that, it’s easier to weigh a million dollars than count it. That shit from Scarface where they had a counting machine, pure fiction. Dope dealers use their scales for more than just weighing out the product.)
Other estimates are 3.7 trillion. That’s substantially more. Then there’s more realistic estimates that range from 5 Trillion up to 8 Tera-bux. That would be from estimating the costs + “over-runs” like syphoning off a few million suitcases full of Benjamins, of construction projects given with no-bid contracts to companies like Halliburton, which has a lot of connections to the Bush Family and the former President of Vice, Richard “dickless” Cheney.
But they wouldn’t rip us off, no, not possible. I could barely type that snark-asm without becoming violently ill.
“The debt crisis has been a game changer in terms of defense spending,” said Laura Peterson, a national security analyst at Taxpayers for Common Sense, a nonpartisan budget watchdog. “It used to be that asking how much the wars cost was unpatriotic. The attitude going into the war is you spend whatever you cost. Now maybe asking is more patriotic.”
How was that funded without raising taxes? Bonds.

Bonds which pay 10% annually. Which means the interest is going to exactly match the principal this coming quarter.
So that makes the cost to the taxpayers exactly twice what it would have cost with a pay-as-you-go system. Because the Rich Bitches like CheneyBush aren’t going to let the American People get out of our obligation to line their pockets. And they’re not going to tax their Rich Bitch Buddies either, they’ve already made that point clear. Instead they’re going to blame the poorest people, those of us who control less than 1% of the total wealth, for their own little Oopsie moment, and tax us accordingly. Cut Momma’s Social Security. Slash pay and benefits so we’ll have less raw income with which to pay more money than all of us collectively won’t see in several lifetimes of Minimum Slavery.
Those of us “Lucky Duckies” who don’t make enough money to pay income tax.

It seems that every time Class Warfare rears its ugly head, the guns are pointed at the Working class and away from the Parasite Class.

It’s worth noting that within a year the first use of a machine gun (different from a Gatling gun) by the United States Army was against U.S. civilians at the Ludlow Massacre, and IWW organizer Joe Hill was blown away at Salt Lake City by a firing squad.
