What Twitter resisted releasing to DOJ, and we may presume Facebook did not

So the US Department of Justice wants Twitter's records on the Wikileaks crew. So what, it's social media -- why expect that spooks can't follow like everybody else? Except the USG wants to know more than followers or tweets, they want IPs, whose computer, network, when, etc, plus they don't want persons of interest or the public to know what info they're gathering. That's a standard MO when investigating crimes like racketeering, but this is a DoJ fishing expedition with aim to criminalize journalism and whistle-blowing, in the meantime violating the privacy of untold thousands, if you are reading this, very likely yours. Unless you know Kevin Bacon personally, you are separated by fewer degrees from rop_g, ioerror, birgittaj, Assange and Bradley Manning. Twitter notified the users named in the December 14 DOJ request, whose lawyers had a judge unveil the document. The government of Iceland has summoned their US envoy to explain what claim the USG can make to personal data on Birgitta Jonsdottir, a member of Iceland's parliament. Salon has put the fax online which lists the specifics the DoJ is after: A. The following customer or subscriber account information for each account registered to or associated with Wikileaks ... 1. subscriber names, user names, screen names, or other identities; 2. mailing addresses, residential addresses, business addresses, e-mail addresses, and other contact information; 3. connection records, or records of session times and durations; 4. length of service (including start date) and types of service utilized; 5. telephone or instrument number or other subscriber number or identity, including any temporary assigned network address; and 6. means and source of payment for such service (including any credit card or bank account number) and billing records. B. All records and other information relating to the account(s) and time period in Part A, including: 1. records of user activity for any connections made to and from the Account, including the date, time, length, and method of connections, data transfer volume, user name, and source and destination Internet Protocol address(es); 2. non-content information associated with the contents of any communication or file stored by or for the account(s), such as the source and destination email addresses and IP addresses. 3. correspondence and notes of records related to the account(s).

AFTENPOSTEN exclusive Wikileaks cache reveals US collaborators

Norway's AFTENPOSTEN newspaper claims to have received the entire cache of Cablegate diplomatic cables. So far they've restricted themselves to releasing correspondence relating to US-Norwegian relations, revealing particular Norwegians doing America's bidding, from those with "strong pro-US instincts, to another considered by "some very senior U.S. officials" to be "weasily." From the cable about weasily Norwegian Ministry of Defense State Secretary Espen Barth Eide who's played a key role in keeping Norwegian troops in Afghanistan and tried to manipulate his Government to support US machinations in Haiti, these misgivings: Senior Norwegian officials, with strong pro-U.S. instincts, have also told the Embassy in private that Barth Eide is not to be relied upon to promote U.S. priorities. One key test of Barth Eide´s inclinations will be the MOD recommendation on which fighter plane to purchase, the Joint Strike Fighter or the Saab Gripen. News as well to Norwegians is a cable about Oslo's regional governor collaborating with US plans to move/expand its embassy which had been meeting with severe resistance from the public. Although the AFTENPOSTEN is published in Norwegian, the cables are being reprinted in their original, Here's a listing of what's out so far: Dokumentene fra USAs ambassader OSLO REGIONAL GOVERNOR OFFERS SUPPORT FOR NEW AMERICAN EMBASSY PROJECT  (15.12 2010) NORWAY: A POTENTIAL HAVEN FOR WAR CRIMINALS? In Tennessee, ACLU = Terrorists

The Memphis Homeland Security fusion center has a map listing the Tennessee ACLU as a "Terrorist Event." Compound that with what a ranking senator (R-AL) has called the "ACLU DNA." It goes beyond semantics when the label of terrorist means by executive order suspects can be detained without charges, indefinitely and without an enforceable standard of human rights. Think twice about those giving credence to Vice President Biden's categorization of Wikileaks as more terrorism than journalism. On the lighter dark side, the CIA has set up a Wikileaks Task Force (WTF), prompting comedian Andy Borowitz to suggest the more apt Stop Terrorists From Uniting (STFU).

As Wikileaks threatens establishment, Apple wields sledgehammer FOR 1984

Remember when Apple pretended to be the defiant sledgehammer to 1984? Today as Julian Assange swings the hammer, Apple joins its big brothers on the giant screen as it removes the Wikileaks app for iPones and iPads. Did you think there were any heroes in the corporate firmament? Amazon, Paypal, Visa, Mastercard, now Apple, nobody wants YOU to get un-manipulated news. But here Steve Jobs has missed an innovation bigger than he has ever rolled out. For man's innate curiosity about himself, Wikileaks has become the reason to get up in the morning. Every new day is a chance to learn or confirm something you intuited about the facade erected around you. Odd, but isn't that what the NEWS used to do? And it's a curious news model, it's all old news, serialized because 250,000 revelations is too much transformitive revisionist history for anyone to handle. Wikileaks is providing what the corporate news media will not. Into the vacuum, leaks. How can anyone dispute that Wikileaks has not single-handedly changed the accepted narrative of recent history? Although the Cablegate diplomatic cables represent the opinions of US personnel, they are unspun by the media propagandists, as it were, straight from the horsemen's mouths. Which lend themselves to government's traditional role for "leaks," disseminating lies which the media can get more excited about than their humdrum press releases. Cablegate has probably launched a new office within the state department to poison future databases with false cables. Michael Moore had to defend his anti-US-healthcare documentary Sicko from the Wikileaked untruth that it had been banned in Cuba. The cable in question was a US diplomat's idea of creating spin for the US insurance industry's smear campaign against Moore. (Did you see him trying to untangle that mess, and explain his support for Wikileaks' Julian Assange to MSNBC's Rachel Maddow last night? They were broadcasting from New York's 92Y to an audience strangely cool to Michael Moore. When Moore proclaimed his Christian values, asking if it was safe to use the word in present company, Maddow missed the gist of his "YMCA" joke, because the 92nd Street "Y" is actually a Jewish center, a Young Men's Hebrew Association facility, and the NY audience last night were neither Wikileaks supporters nor fans of Moore's criticism of America's six ongoing wars.) The Wikileaks v. Cuba scenario reminds me of the famous Alec Guinness spy farce Our Man in Havana where a clueless vacuum cleaner salesman is recruited by western intelligence services to be their eyes and ears in Cuba. Failing to chance upon serviceable info, he makes sketches of the latest futuristic vacuum, enlarged to industrial scale to suggest it's a secret missile facility. In fact another recent cable which purported to document a Fidel Castro "crush on Obama" was based on nothing more than reading Castro's regular "Reflections" as printed in the Cuban press. It used to be our government had a lock on what Americans could observe about Cuba, but today Fidel's Reflections are available to

Wikileaks information freedom fighter granted bail – Swedes appeal what?

Although reporting of the CableGate leaks is taking a backseat to Julian Assange's arrest, the Wikileaks media powertrain has grown into a monster truck. Nothing like a jailed dissident to illuminate tyranny. And of course the oppressiveness of the private sector is unveiling itself, as Assange points out from jail: "We now know that Visa, Mastercard and Paypal are instruments of US foreign policy. It's not something we knew before." If not a revelation, it's confirmation.   BREAKING-- Unprecendented: British judge allows tweeting from the courtroom. Accruing list includes London Times correspondent Alexi Mostrous, ABC's Jim Sciutto, transparency author Heather Brooke, at http://twitter.com/notmytribe/assange-trial. So Julian Assange was granted bail, now he has to raise it. A number of celebrities have pledged contributions, but the total required is 200,000 pounds, but that's not why Assange remains in custody. The Swedish legal team has declared it will appeal, but refuses as yet to declare when they will file it. Appeal Assange's release on bail, without having even leveled formal charges against him. Whose legal team is it exactly, who's concerned that house arrest in Britain is insufficient custody of the Wikileaks coordinator facing so far merely allegations of charges in Sweden? Assange's legal team has been expressing objection to their client's transfer to Sweden based on the risk that Sweden will remand him to the US where a grand jury has been mobilized to conjure charges against Assange based on the 1917 Espionage Act.

Nominate Julian Assange for a Nobel? Time Person of the Year? No, jail him.

I Am Just Sick. Julian Assange arrested, denied bail, confined to a UK jail cell deemed unsuitable for Bush, Blair or their murderous peers. Britain even assured Israel that its war criminals could visit England without fear of politically motivated arrest warrants. So much for the Assange-is-Mossad rumor. Arrested for what? Publishing evidence of governments conspiring against their peoples' interests, in their own words? Really, what's next for our pretense of Democracy? No, it was accusations of sexual impropriety, technically. Rape and molestation being the corporate media's chosen translation of how Swedes might describe a consensual sexual encounter gone off, according to post-coital television interviewees, turned insufficiently feminist-sensitive. Do I sound flippant? Two women in Sweden, described as groupies, of activist pedigree it's alleged, one elder cementing the resolve of the younger, shall we call them Lewinsky and Tripp, accusing Assange of disrespecting their gender. They play right into the stereotype I have of single-issue advocates who can't get past affronts to their own personal agendas. Whatever Assange's transgressions, is not the fate of the western world, the awakening of its public participants in the balance? Though Swedish authorities originally dismissed the accusations, the pair is determined to interrupt Wikileaks' Cablegate to school Assange in his bedside manner? Whether instigated by intelligence operatives or not, the charges made by the two women have been the only hooks which authorities have been able to get into Assange. Will extradition to Sweden to answer police inquiries lead to US rendition to a secret facility? Should we hope that at the very least the Brits resist US pressure to interrogate Assange, or affect the operation of Wikileaks by coercion and duress? We must hope the Assange's colleagues can secure Wikileaks before their sysadmin is tortured for his access codes. Hearing the New York Times assail the character of Julian Assange as having delusions of grandeur, I'm reminded of how a centuries earlier ruling class rid themselves of the populist scourge Napoleon. Defeated once, Napoleon was able to escape banishment and had but to set foot on French soil and with only the force of his personality he was able to reconstitute his campaign to free the European citizenry of their despotic monarchs. Defeated again, Napoleon was too popular to execute and so was banished again. This time, it's alleged, a heroic loyalist submitted to be contaminated with syphilis and thence to infect and ground the upstart Napoleon for good. The remaining Wikileaks crew is at greater risk than Julian Assange, lacking his media visibility, they could be disappeared without fanfare. But that's evidently a fading misconception of mine. Assange's high profile hasn't helped him.

Wikileaks reveals inventory of US possessions critical to corporations

To complain that a wikileaked list of off-US-soil "critical infrastructure and key resources" provides a checklist of targets for aspiring terrorists is to pretend that opponents of the US empire are as simple minded as American television viewers. The importance of most of the so-called Critical Foreign Dependencies is self-evident, more curious is how the US deems these proprietary interests, to what extent it will protect them, and for whom. Sole manufacturers of vaccines might be vital to public health, but what of communications cables, international ports, supplies of industrial metals and suppliers of components to US weapons systems? Those are critical only to bottom lines. The 2008 report in the State Department cable leaked yesterday reveals infrastructure critical to multinational corporations, whether US or not. While American airwaves are full of denunciations of Wikileaks and Julian Assange for endangering the US, the Western press is ignoring incendiary cables making their rounds in the Middle East, in which the Lebanese Defence Minister Elias El-Murr asks his American liaison to assure Israel that a next invasion, restricted to rooting out Hezbollah, would not be opposed by Lebanese forces. Amazon, Paypal and EveryDNS have thrown in with those that would censor Wikileaks, likely also Google and Twitter. Try to find the El-Murr story through Google News or Twitter. Here's the text of the 2009 cable: 2008 Critical Foreign Dependencies Initiative (CFDI) critical infrastructure and key resources (CI/KR) AFRICA Congo (Kinshasa): Cobalt (Mine and Plant) Gabon: Manganese - Battery grade, natural; battery grade, synthetic; chemical grade; ferro; metallurgical grade Guinea: Bauxite (Mine) South Africa: BAE Land System OMC, Benoni, South Africa Brown David Gear Industries LTD, Benoni, South Africa Bushveld Complex (chromite mine) Ferrochromium Manganese - Battery grade, natural; battery grade, synthetic; chemical grade; ferro; metallurgical grade Palladium Mine and Plant Platinum Mines Rhodium EAST ASIA AND THE PACIFIC Australia: Southern Cross undersea cable landing, Brookvale, Australia Southern Cross undersea cable landing, Sydney, Australia Manganese - Battery grade, natural; battery grade, synthetic; chemical grade; ferro; metallurgical grade Nickel Mines Maybe Faulding Mulgrave Victoria, Australia: Manufacturing facility for Midazolam injection. Need another reason to boycott 900 lb bully Amazon? Censoring Wikileaks

Amazon booted Wikileaks from its cloud server service, at the behest of Zionist warmonger Joe Lieberman. Twittered Wikileaks in response: "If Amazon are so uncomfortable with the first amendment, they should get out of the business of selling books." The corporate media is already censoring "Cablegate" with misdirection, describing the leaked diplomatic cables as indelicate embarrassments, as opposed to incriminating revelations of America's imperialist anti-democratic outrages. The Interpol has declared an international manhunt of the Wikileaks founder based on scurrilous accusations of sexual misconduct, Canada is calling for Julian Assange's execution via US drone, our politicians want to prosecute the Australian Assange under the draconian 1917 US Espionage Act. Amazon's cowardly deed today is a reminder of the private sector's omniscient control over everyone's access to information. Imagine a world where whistleblowers are denied whistles. Shopping bags only please. On Amazon's internet no one can hear you scream. While the US media is scolding Wikileaks spokespeople for shaming US diplomacy, the free presses are reporting about the cables which detail the US abuse of diplomatic cover to supply intelligence data, some of it intended to direct US/Israeli drone strikes. The collusion of foreign governments to help the US circumvent international law, US complicity in the Honduran coup, among many other crimes. Bradley Manning allegedly confessed leaking Cablegate to FBI informer Adrian Lamo, describing the trove of damning revelations thus: “Hilary Clinton and several thousand diplomats around the world are going to have a heart attack when they wake up one morning and find an entire repository of classified foreign policy is available in a searchable format to the public. Everywhere there is a U.S. post there is a diplomatic scandal that will be revealed. It is open diplomacy, worldwide anarchy in CSV format. It’s Climategate with a global scope and breathtaking depth. It is beautiful and horrifying." Although an estimated half million US government operatives had access to these cables, only 20-year-old intelligence analyst Manning had the conscience to recognize the immorality being kept from public view. That's a military culture of Don't Ask Don't Tell, of which discrimination against sexual preference is the smallest consequence. Have you read any of the objective coverage of the damning cables? What's been released is only a fraction, so as not to overwhelm a media which can only focus on a single soundbite at a time. Is the absence of cables critical of Israel evidence that Julian Assange is actually MOSSAD? Rather, and I'm not alone in pointing this out, the dearth of diplomatic cables to and from Israel indicates the streamlined collusion with the US. Only in Tarantino movies do hired killers have dialog. Old comrades don't regale each other with revelations about Quarter Pounder versus Le Royale. Israeli and US diplomats have nothing to have to keep abreast about. Is Assange really CIA/MOSSAD/AIPAC? I'd say the smears against him more likely are. When the same voices disparaging Assange ALSO find themselves horrified by the revelations of the US diplomatic cables, is when I'll start giving them

TSA and Pentagoons play same lame blame game

TSA of course saying that people being angry about their Neo-Gestapo (betcha thought I was gonna say "nazi" huh?) thug tactics would cause delays. And not their Thuggish heavy-handed State-Sponsored Terrorism. The people, you see, have no right to resent being treated as criminals with no evidence. Guilty until proven innocent. Then blame anybody who acts any way non-docile or non-subservient for the punishment THEY, the Gesta errrr... Noble Defenders of freedom CHOOSE to inflict on other people. There's a counter-terrorism standard employed and enjoyed by every dictatorship, including the U.S. Military "free" puppet governments, (not just the Nazis, although they're the ones most famous for it) where they would round up local civilians in areas where a "terrorist" attack had occurred and simply execute some of them, and made sure to tell the survivors to blame it on the actions of the Resistance Fighters. That's the TSA tactic. Also, the Pentagon/State Department Gesta tactic for dealing with Wikileaks. Kill the messenger. Never mind that it's not the REVELATION of their many murders and miscellaneous misdemeanors, mayhem and malicious malfeasance that's caused their shared TSA/DoD/DoS/DoJ problems. It's the actual commission of their multiple misdeeds that caused the problem. If they didn't want the name surely it would have been easier to avoid that by not playing the game. The best way to avoid gaining an undesirable reputation as a Babykiller is simply not actually killing babies. That way you can point out, hey, no actual dead babies, no babykilling. But a bunch of dead babies and other Former Humans chewed to pieces by the weapons of ones Armed Forces is bound to rouse suspicions.

Rap News and Wikileaks thumb noses at US junta and its News World Order

I'd say Juice Media's Hugo Farrant and Wikileaks' Julian Assange are showing up the powers that be. Catch today's episode of Rap News: Some may imagine kindred discontents at MSNBC and the Daily Show, but Jon Stewart's chatting up Obama tonight couldn't make the facade plainer. Developments this week with the Iran War Logs from Wikileaks and here, from fellow Aussies at Juice Media, show the next generation aims to derail US military state propaganda with impunity. O'REILLY: The number of people in the Middle East               opposed to Democracy has swiftly decreased. RUMSFELT: Yeah, by a million at least!

US considers using 1917 Espionage Act to thwart Julian Assange and Wikileaks

The first targets of the regrettable 1917 Espionage Act were antiwar labor organizers against US WWI conscription. Read the March 1917 cover of the anarchist THE BLAST:   "This man subjected himself to imprisonment and probably to being shot or hanged under the new Espionage Bill   The prisoner used language tending to discourage men from enlisting in the United States Army   It is proven and indeed admitted that among his incendiary statements were---   Thou shalt not kill     and Peace on earth good will to men"

Say it ain’t so…

Oh my. There's been an acknowledgment from the Pentagoons that the Police units of the U.S. Army didn't investigate abuses by Iraqi troops, even when there was plenty of reliable evidence and complaints made. DUH! 7 1/2 years and they get around to figuring that out. Maybe in another couple of decades they'll figure out that the WMDs were never there and that U.S. troops did quite a lot of murder and torture too.So it wasn't a voluntary admission on their part. The Pentagoons are screaming that revelations of their illegal and vicious activities will cause violent retribution. As_Opposed_to_The activities themselves causing retribution for those activities. What's really amazing, the PIGS who do these things and their socially retarded supporters, have their motto displayed prominently that "If you break the commandment, then somebody else should keep the commandment" or variants thereof. What, does not your version of Christian and Jewish values have the built-in What Goes Around Comes Back Around? As thou sowest so also shalt thou reap? The Iraqi people already KNOW that Fallujah was a senseless massacre where the majority of the dead wouldn't possibly be defined as combatants. They already KNOW that the "Operation Iraqi Freedom" meant having the Old Boss violently exchanged for the New Boss, "freedom" to do as your told, quietly and subserviently, or the Storm Troopers of the New Boss will simply kill you, if you're unlucky, and imprison and torture you and your family if you're slightly more unlucky. And THEN kill you once the Perverts who run the prisons feel there's no more erotic sport they can have from torturing you and turn to fresher victims. The ones who had ALREADY been given ample reason to hate the smug, smirking "liberators" and their demands that the newly conquered peasants in the newly conquered provinces lick their fucking PIG jackboots, they already know the details of what life is like under the U.S. Army Dictatorship. So where does the added danger come in? It comes from people who meekly accepted the LYING notions that either the United States Military could never possibly do any wrong or if they did it was for a good cause. Hillary Clinton echoes the Pentagon Bullshit about "How Dare You Put These Lives In Danger!" Whose lives? The MURDERERS and Torturers and their "civilian" Iraqi and Afghan collaborators. The "Civilian" government forces of the Puppet Governments in Iraq and Afghanistan, who wear uniforms, carry guns and help the "Coalition" force Own People into slavery. A cop in any country isn't a "civilian", he's an armed officer of whatever King he serves. A soldier who is employed and sworn and paid to keep people from rejecting the rule of the King. Calling the Kingdom a Republic or a Democracy is even less honest than calling the Pigs "civilians". A cop in an Occupied Nation is merely an armed puppet of the Conquering Army. Paid to keep his own people on their knees in service to the conquerors. Not a "Civilian". To say otherwise is

Contaminants in the runoff water

Seems they predate the Homeless Camping debate by at least a decade. One of the problems that was present when the City and County of Pueblo sued Colorado Springs for fouling their water, e-coli. Seems Colorado Springs and Springs Utilities reached a plea-bargain mitigating the judgment against the Springs by making necessary repairs to the sewage system. This includes that bad ol' StormWater that the right wingsters keep whining about. The wastewater treatment facilities were overwhelmed on several levels, not the least of which were the BlowHard Extremists like Douglas Bruce not wanting to pay their bills. Have their cake, eat it too, and then have somebody else pay for the cake. The sewer system including the Storm Drains, which funnel water off the streets, which in turn are coated with an oily residue from the exhaust fumes. More cars, more pavement, more pollution and all of it running into a sewage treatment system last upgraded in the early 1960s. 50 years ago. More streets, more infrastructure added on, and each year the cost of the labor and the materials needed to build and maintain that infrastructure increasing, yet Doug Bruce and his dumbass Zombie Followers insist on only paying the bills in 1972 dollars. And screaming that increasing the fees necessary to maintain that infrastructure and build new infrastructure to accommodate those victims of the Real Estate Scam of "Pure Rocky Mountain Spring Water" moving to town and making the water somewhat less pure. Lethally less pure. Some of the impurities in Fountain Creek before the confluence with Monument Creek keep the smelly algae that makes Monument stink so bad from growing. Also any other algae, insect larvae, and amphibian newts, efts and tadpoles. N-Nitrosodimethylamine, likely sources:Industry, cosmetics, toiletry products, cleansers; by-product of natural chemical reactions. That's the one Springs Utilities admits is beyond EPA and drinking water safety bounds. Chemicals they say are in "safe amounts" Barium, Bromodichloromethane Chlorodibromomethane Chloroform Fluoride Hexachlorocyclopentadiene Nitrates Radium, Combined 226 228 Sodium, Turbidity (muddiness) Uranium Chlorine Maloacetic Acids Trihalomethanes Coliform (bacteria) E-Coli (the coliform bacteria they're blaming on the Homeless People, before that it was the pigeons in Manitou Springs) Copper Lead A lot of the "possible sources of contamination" listed are Erosion of native deposits. Erosion hastened by destroying topsoil, uprooting native plants, GRADING FOR ROADS, COMMERCIAL AND HOUSING CONSTRUCTION, MINING, QUARRYING, DRILLING, TIMBER CLEARING, OFF-ROAD "RECREATIONAL" VEHICLE USE For instance, there's at least one defunct copper mine just outside Manitou Springs city limits that drains directly into Fountain Creek. When you pull ONE metal out of the earth, it's not in pure form, ever, is it, O Right Wing Mining Geniuses Who Think I Can't Possibly Know Anything? Nay verily. It is NOT pure and some of those impurities are other metals. Toxic metals like Uranium, White Arsenic, Sodium in many forms including Sodium Cyanide, Mercury, Lead, Copper, ooops that's one they INTENDED to pull out oopsie my bad. Petrochemicals, mountaintop removal for extracting ANY mineral including coal releases chemicals into the waters that have recently been shown to cause a hormonal mutation in small-mouth bass where the male fish develop with

As was long suspected, then reported, and the reporters mocked..

Like when Dr Laura's son was using MySpace to boast of war crimes in which he participated or fantasized about committing, denounced by Ms. Schlesinger and others on the RightWing Lunatic Fringe as being "hacked" onto his account... along with his bits about worshiping Satan... But now it appears there are still more stories coming out of VietRaqiStan of soldiers, good old Red--blooded American Boy Scouts, killing for nothing more than the fun of doing it. But it's true patriot Bradley Manning who's facing a Life Sentence for exposing it, not any of the Murderers. Had there been no war crimes to expose there would have been no exposure. But of course, telling impressionable very young adults, older children actually, that killing is necessary, and fun, training them to do it effectively and to ENJOY the thrill of putting a gun to somebody's head and removing his brain from the skull violently, some way, somehow, would NOT and could not possibly lead to some of them doing it for fun. Especially since the normal Rules of Engagement, the Geneva and Hague Conventions, and the laws both of the United States and the UCMJ (at least the ones which prohibit Murder and other deliberate War Crimes) circumvented by a presidential executive order of non-prosecution, that wouldn't lead anybody to do what they're commanded to do and allowed to do. Laissez-Faire in the battlefield would work just as splendidly as laissez faire in the Marketplace. Well, I'll concede they've had equivalent results. Especially as the former is done to promote the latter. Soon, if the Capitalist BigPigs get anything approaching Victory in Afghanistan, they'll be using the same Killers and the same Killer Methods to indoctrinate Americans into the subservience they demand of Afghans, and Iraqis, and Guatemalans, and Costa Riquenses, and Panamanians, and anyone else living under the "enforced liberty" of the Free Market, backed by Military might if the people object to being treated as "free" market slaves. They already do it at Union actions. Either the Military or the Deputized Constabulary PIGS show up with guns to intimidate the workers to get back in Corporate Line. De Oppresso Liber, Ad Oppresso Ultimo. Which unless my Latin is WRONG that would be the Greenie-Beanie Motto "free from oppression" with "unto greater oppression". Kiss it, SF. It's what you really stand for. That's right, boys, make your Mommas real proud. Just like Dr Lauras son did.

Self-contradictory positions taken by TeaBag and Radical Republicans

The list is massive, their own anti-American Terrorist threats in relation to voting rights, civil rights, racism, hate-speech against Muslims, hate-speech inspired attacks against Muslims and other religious, racial, social, or cultural groups and individuals... Oh, and the constant use of Massive Conspiracy theories of their own to denounce "conspiracy theories" like the questions raised over RepubliKlan and TeaBags rigging either the initial attacks on 9/11 directly, rigging the public response to those attacks for the profit of their Warmongering Corporate Leaders, and D) All of the Above. Let's jump right in with Voting Rights, in Houston, one of the major cities in the Exxon Protectorate Territory of Texas. According to TeaBag-RepubliKlan legend, so "Red" that only Massive Commie Infiltration could have thwarted their machinations. A group called True the Vote is insisting that the 70 million to 48 million vote spanking they took in the last election wasn't an adverse reaction to Race Baiting on the part of their Terrorist Candidates McCain, Palin and others further down the ticket all the way to elections for Dogcatcher. OK so the dogcatcher election is an old hyperbole, maybe City Council would be more appropriate. AND they're calling for Armed Poll Watchers... Millions of Armed Poll Watchers. Which was IS Klan terrorism technique used to skew elections. Particularly elections for such positions as County Clerk and Recorder, or similarly positioned Election Oversight officials in different jurisdictions. Like the ones the Right Wing Hate Freaks controlled in so much of the nation 2 years ago that they were confident of cruising to victory with plenty to spare. But with a Republican Machine that rivals the Soviet system in reach and the Tammany Hall Machine in tactics, in place nationwide, there's a 22 MILLION vote difference + another 5 million or so they thought would give them an easy victory. So they come up with a Conspiracy Theory that's an order of magnitude more convoluted than the JFK Assassination theories and 9/11 theories and the whole "I saw Elvis in a UFO" range of theories combined. While alternately condemning as treason or mocking as trivial and irrelevant any questions of just how much political and financial advantage their Parent Corporations gained by the 9/11 attacks. Which is it, TeaBags, (local shout out to Michelle Malkin, Dan Maes, Tancredo, Gunny Bob) Treason, or insignificant rants of lunatics? Cause, cousins, y'all seem to have a Nationwide Lock on Loonie. Seriously. Then they spin that into their Mosque Mania and terroristic Hate Speech and Hate Actions against Muslims and anybody else they think of as being Not White or Christian Enough To Be Considered Real Americans, according to their Hate Speech Real Loonie Leader Sarah Palin. Their level of Violent Hatred has already caused American Deaths directly within the confines of the United States, attacks on Religious and Cultural Institutions such as the Murfreesboro Islamic Cultural Center torched in Tennessee last week, The Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church attacked at the urging of TeaBag Leaders at FOX Networks and Clear Channel, with two dead, the

The Love it or Leave it crap again.

America has freedom still, or what little is left, because of the actions of Dissidents, not Conformists. The Army didn't give us these freedoms, save by surrendering their claims to any authority to do otherwise. Most certainly the wars in which the Army is engaged today, and has been steadily engaged in since the "cessation of hostilities" in 1945, have all been wars of Imperialism, to stamp out freedom wherever it rears its head. Nothing more or less than being Thug Enforcers for the Corporate Owners of the American Empire. You can't handle Freedom of Speech, YOU can get the hell out. There's plenty of Banana Republics in the world being propped up for the profit of their American Masters, by American Military presence. A long list from Abu Dabi to Zanzibar and all points in between. Your corporate masters have bankrupted America on their way to Global Dominance. That's not in any way related to freedom and you should stop lying about it. Your Army is currently trying to lynch Spec. Bradley Manning for doing something you've never considered doing, too frightened I suppose. He MANNED THE HELL UP and told the truth and brought forth Proof to back it up. And neither Your Pentagon nor Bush nor Obama have managed to do either one.

“we convict them on the front page”

And the appeals are on the back page. That was something actually said by a Dallas County District Attorney in relation to having convicted a Spanish-American citizen for "dealing crack" and the so-called evidence turned out to be ground up wallboard. Gypsum. CHALK. When the Appeals Court overturned the Conviction, they kept the guy in prison for two more years while the Dallas DA first appealed the Appeal and then tried to fabricate new "evidence". This practice is alive and well. It's being used to try to whitewash the Pentagoons persecution of WikiLeaks with release to a Swedish Newspaper the disinformation about Assange being charged with rape. Something the Swedish police dropped, turned their backs and walked away from it. So now the Pentagon can say, Sure, we "inadvertently" committed torture, murder and other war crimes, constantly and without any remorse, but, hey, Assange was falsely charged with rape so that makes OUR crimes disappear!

Surprise! In anticipation of further incriminating Afghan leaks, Wikileaks Julian Assange charged with rape

Where the CIA cannot yet use predator drones, it retains character assassins. Sweden's authorities confirm that accusations of rape and molestation (!) made against Julian Assange in the Swedish tabloid Expressen will require the Wikileaks founder to report to police. UPDATE: Prosecutors now say suspicions were unfounded. Much to the consternation of its citizens, Swedish police have collaborated with CIA renditions, and the Swedish press is not outside of the reach of the Zionist media.

Interesting wording: Taliban blamed for Afghan civilian deaths

First the generic word Taliban. Which translates, if I've got the wording right, according to the State Department, "soldier". More or less. Then "blamed for". Is that a tacit admission that they're catching the rap but not in fair measure? Then there's the notion that the "Taliban" in general and al Qa'eda in particular have been driven far from civilian population centers. So that's two conflicting if not Mutually Exclusive stories being told by the same party, the Koalition of the Killing. At its most blunt, its an admission that they're losing, in the first part, and that they were covering it up with a blanket of lies about having the Taliban driven far away from the civilians. Then there are the Wikileaks files. Which tell a third tale, by the Same Party, Koalition of the Killing, in what they thought were Secret communications. By the way, Free the Hero Bradley Manning!! Aside from that, there's an old Baptist adage provided by some Old Baptists who i happen to know. If you don't want people to find out what you're doing, don't tell anybody. There's a really sad story you hear a lot from people convicted of felonies. "My accomplice snitched me off to get a good deal from the DA." The more serious the crime, like say, War Crimes, and the more often it's committed, and the more accomplices you have... then the more people will want to find out who is responsible for those crimes, and will be snooping around. Usually armed with subpoenas and warrants but ALWAYS armed with well, Arms. Cases that involve human deaths and especially the deaths of Children tend to draw a LOT more attention. Now, the way the Army and Co. set up their communications and storage of those communications is critical to their relative success at doing their crimes. The bigger the Army, the more records, the more copies of Accomplices ratting each other out, only, in a system where they're ratting each other out to each other and the evidence stored by their own Criminal Organization to help figure out what happened when their Criminal Organization loses its collective rosie-red Arse. Such as what's happening now in Greater VietRaqiStan. I can't help but believe that quite a few people in the Pentagoons actually DID know right from wrong, they KNEW that the tactic of Might Makes Right ALWAYS has backfired, they KNEW they were telling lies... because other than them having this certain knowledge of what they were doing, and why it is WRONG, you would have to have a couple of million complete Airheads running the Weapons storage and utilizations system known as the Military, and... the largest one on the face of the Earth. Dumb, or lying. Not much of a choice, is it?

US tells Wikileaks: “do the right thing” though deaf to the concept otherwise.

What does it mean to have the criminal US regime tell you to "do the right thing?" As if a spokesmen for a morally bankrupt war machine assert any inherent understanding of right and wrong. But this request was expressed more like "gimme you lunch money." If you doubt this is meant more as an offer Julian Assange cannot refuse, the follow up statement explained that the US government would explore whatever other means it has to make Assange comply. It reminds me of George Bush snickering as he declined to elaborate on what eventually was exposed to be a CIA assassination program.

Time Magazine spites its face

This week's cover of Time has to rank at their most scurrilous, a baldfaced attempt to evoke the iconic National Geographic cover, this time figuratively defaced. It's Mona Lisa given a Howl; The Green Revolution's "Neda" shot in the head, instead of the evocative-deficient not-in-your-face mortal wound elsewhere. If the Taliban cut off this young woman's nose as a warning to others not to abandon their families, Time Magazine wants to broaden the extortion. Here's "What Happens If We Leave Afghanistan." But instead of counterspinning the Wikileaks' Afghan War Logs, Time's imagery reinforces the triumph of the leaked documents. This is the barbarity which will face the Afghans collaborators, those unmasked by the leaks, and those who might still be induced, in spite of the now certainty their confidence will be betrayed. Time's editors assure us that the young Afghan woman is safe from reprisal, held at an undisclosed location protected by armed guard. Do they take responsibility for her "If We Leave Afghanistan?" Time's exploitation of this young Afghan is direct extortion.

Wikileaks has crippled US warmaking, now, what you can do for Wikileaks

Wikileaks has blood on its hands, says the US military, red-handed. No kidding. Wikileaks killed the war in Afghanistan is what it did, and all those who informed on the resistance or might have been thinking to collaborate with the US/NATO occupiers. 15,000 of the records were held back pending redaction, but Wikileaks informs us that even their full content will eventually be unveiled at a later, less sensitive date. In France there's still contention about identifying those who betrayed the resistance during WWII. Wikileaks has struck a mortal blow to US war-making, as much as the media are trying to drum against it. Here's what you can do to INSURE this great equalizing tool alive. Wikileaks creator Julian Assange has stashed a "if anything should happen to me" file to be opened in the event of US obstruction. Not even Senator Lieberman's effort to impose online Marshal Law will preempt the "insurance" this file offers, because things work differently on the interwebs. The file's already out there, encrypted. You can grab a copy for yourself. If anything untoward befalls Assange, Wikileaks releases the key. Your taking a piece of the action assures that the number of copies out there will defy containment. Right now you can go to wikileaks.org and download the insurance.aes256 file directly, or you can use P2P with a torrent link, in the process helping to disseminate the file. Next simply burn the file to a DVD and stash it away. By the way, Assange has prefaced the mysterious contents of the file thus: it's less about insuring his safety, than insuring that historical records aren't usurped from mankind's shared legacy.

NY Times pretends the Afghanistan War Logs is news that does not fit

Is it surprising that the US newspaper of record, the NYT which prints all the news that's fit, should declare of the Wikileaks Afghanistan War Logs: there's nothing much new there? Oh REALLY? Point me to a NYT headline that read US Death Squads, or Civilian Casualties: We DO Body-Counts, or Insurgents Armed With Heat-Seeking Missiles, or War Crimes Being Committed Daily. Are we to accept that the NYT knew about these, but thought wisest not to report them? The only revelation which has been known, Pakistan Directs Taliban, is the leak they're running with, because those reports are founded on intelligence, ie dubious conjecture, to discredit the others based on first hand accounts, and to rationalize more attacks on Pakistan. I'm galled even that Wikileaks chose to let the NYT in on the advance team. Of course the NYT went right to the White House and Pentagon to warn them of what was about to be unleashed. The files were given to three news organizations simultaneously to limit the spin each might try to apply. The move to involve the press in advance was for stories and their context could hit the ground running. It's curious that most columnists and news blogs are favoring the Guardian's analysis the logs, over the NYT's. In spite of the peer review, the NYT is pushing back harder the the White House, which isn't disputing the authenticity of the material, only their outrage that the facts are being made public. Small wonder. Worse than denying them, the NYT is dismissive. No big deal. And it's working. The rest of the MSM is characterizing the "alleged" logs as "accusations." Despite the un-argued official admission that these are the unadulterated records. Most of the discussion is about the leak itself, and Julian Assange's motive as an activist. No mention he's anactivist for "justice." Not partisan, not pacifist, but moral. You'd think that shouldn't differentiate him from a journalist. The NYT has some nerve to pretend the logs aren't going to bring on a sea change of despondency about the war, even in Iraq. In particular with the soldiers' families starved for news, who will recognize from the reports the snippets of sensitive information they get from their individual soldier, with no idea it forms the character of the whole picture. We're fucked. We can't throw more at it, we can't fire truer, wiser, safer. This is unwinnable. And those are the reports our government has been seeing. Maybe that's what the NYT means to say, we/they already know this material. Our leaders have been reading these reports daily and they don't dispute that. Their glass-half-full projections for success in Afghanistan is half-full with blood. Now we know it. That's the sordid quality of these revelations. Soldiers lives FUBAR. These are more than the Pentagon Papers, these are American war-making unspun, undone. NYT et al, will have us blame the messenger, condemn Private Bradley Manning for his breach of security. Our national security depends on keeping secrets is their unchallenged theme. Do you believe
